and he told me that he found a wishing

bulb in our yard.

I've never heard of a wishing bulb.

Neither had I.

And I realized eventually that he had
just painted a light bulb green.

But back then I really believed in the
magic of it.

He told me that it would grant me one
Christmas wish every year.

So I wished for a Merry Christmas like
we always had.

And he promised me that it would come
true.

And it's it.

Presents, decorations, a beautiful tree.

That's beautiful.

I keep it out year -round to remind me
of my father on that Christmas.

raining, he started drawing again.

So I run up to him and I think, why are
you doing that? It's just going to rain

and wash it away.

And he looked at me.

And he said, young lady, art is never
washed away because

And then you were hooked.
