It's the mystery, the surprise, the thrill of the unknown.

It's a reminder that the world is full of wonder.

That's what keeps me coming back.

Every single time I think I've seen it all,

our incredible magicians prove me wrong.

- Hello.

- And here is one of our incredible magicians right now,

with a wheelbarrow.

- Well, Dean, you know, many years ago

there was a guy who was selling pet rocks,

and he went out into a field, he got a bunch of rocks,

put 'em in a box, well-

- He made a lot of money, I think.

- Sure did.

I have invented the first pet brick.

(audience laughing)

But this one actually does something.

Watch.

I'm gonna set him right here.

Oh, a little costume.

Safety first.

- Okay.

- This is a high diving brick.

We're gonna dump into this cup of water.

- Well, I don't know if the brick's gonna fit in the...

- He's actually going to dive off of the hoe

into that cup of water.

- Ta-da. - Ta-da.

I know, I had to come up with the names,

then it looks really expensive.

Okay, I'm gonna just do that.

One hand like that, if you will please.

The other hand right on top.

And you're gonna protect the dishrag of wonderment,

but we're on stage, so like ta-da, like that.

Okay, that's all she did.

I don't know why you applauded that,

but that was fine, that was good.

Yeah, just pose like that.

Taylor, I'm gonna have you help me out,

if you would please.

Take the cards right out of the box.

This is cool if you can push this

right into the cards, then you don't have to...

Let me show you guys, an ordinary deck of playing cards.

Each card is completely different, no two are alike,

blah, blah, blah.

Taylor, I'm gonna riffle through the cards,

you're gonna say stop as loud as you can.

Ready, go.

- Stop.

- Right there. Okay.

Take a look at your cards, do not show anybody,

if you would please.

I don't wanna see it.

All right, are you taking a look at it?

Are you looking at it?

- Yes.

- And are you memorizing it?

- Yeah.

- Okay, 'cause I'm trying to get

all the other cards memorized so I know

which card you might hopefully have chosen.

All right, hold onto that card.

Don't need these either.

Okay, great.

All right.

This is the moment of truth.

This is awesome.

You ready?

Okay, very carefully take your hand off dramatically.

Hand up like this.

The other hand.

Like ah, ah.

Yeah.

There we are.

Excellent.

That's how you get the big money.

Inside here, all right, is another deck

of playing cards.

It was there the whole time.

I'm gonna show you all mixed up,

all shuffled.

This is gonna be amazing.

I'm gonna drop the cards.

I'm gonna drop the cards,

but right now I need you to

tell everybody,

and show your card.

Which card did you pick?

Shout it out.

- Eight of clovers.

- What is it?

Eight of clovers.

Oh, okay, I didn't know we were in elementary school.

That's fantastic.

You should take all your money,

and go to Vegas right now.

Look at them all showing you up.

But that's okay.

Okay, hold it up right there, all those clovers,

if you would please.

You could have chosen eight of rainbows,

but you didn't.

I'm going to drop the cards,

all gonna hit the floor.

- Hi I am here with Lauren from the audience,

and these five wooden dice.

Lauren, I'd like you to roll the dice,

and make sure they are normal dice.

I can assure you they are

because they are not mine, they're my son's.

His name is Joseph, he's nine years old.

I brought a photo of him here

so that you could meet him.

And, this is a trick I created especially to show Joe.

So, Lauren, I'd like you to roll the dice on the table,

and then place your hand,

I'm gonna look away,

but place your hand flat on any one

of those dice for me.

Let me know when you're done,

'cause as you're doing that I'm going to

remove a card from this deck

that I believe matches the number

facing up under your hand.

Lauren, I'm locked in.

I can't see what number is facing up.

What number is it?

Lift up your hand, show everybody.

It is a number four,

which is exactly what I thought you would go for.

(audience cheering)

You're very kind,

but even Joe knows that that's a one in six chance,

so we should do it again to make sure

it's not luck.

So, let's go again.

Roll the dice again for me, Lauren,

pick any number,

and we'll try and make sure

that this is not just luck.

Roll again,

and then put your hand on any one of the dice,

and I will remove a card from the deck.

This time I think it's going to be this card.

I'm locked in.

Lauren, what number did you go for?

A number one.

We don't have a number one in the deck,

but we do have an ace to perfectly get it right.

(audience applauding)

Now, if I was watching this trick,

I'd think maybe there's some way I can see the dice.

So, Lauren, we're gonna do it one last time.

This time, place your hand on any dice,

and I'm going to stand over here,

and I'm going to keep my eyes closed.

The people on this side of the audience,

make sure that my eyes are closed,

and then we can start.

So, Lauren, roll the dice,

and this time I'm gonna go by sound alone.

Place your hand flat on one of them,

and place your other hand flat on another one,

and let's try and get this, see if we can get both.

I think this time the numbers are going to be high.

I believe it is a five and a six.

Did I get it right?

Show everybody.

It should be a five and a six.

That's a trick I created to show Joe.

Do you wanna see Joe's trick?

He created a trick as well.

For this we need a few cards, so Lauren say stop.

- Stop.

- Say stop again.

- Stop.

- Really quick.

Okay, great.

We're gonna place some dice on top of these,

we'll get rid of the others.

And just like before we're gonna have you

put your hand over two of the dice for me,

and we're going to start to eliminate

some of these dice.

So, place your hands down on the dice.

Okay, and whichever one you have left

is the one we're gonna use.

So what do we have?

We're gonna get rid of these here.

Okay, perfect,

which just leaves this here.

So this dice has number five facing up,

so we're gonna take the fifth card.

One, two, three, four, five.

That's the eight of diamonds.

So the number is five,

and the card is the eight of diamonds.

That's Joe's trick.

(audience laughing)

He's nine years old, give him a break.

But, you know what, actually it is a pretty good trick

because that photo I showed you earlier of Joe,

he is holding two things.

There is a playing card, it is the eight of diamonds.

There is a number, it is number five.

Let's give it up for little Joe Gladwin.

So I came up with this idea.

I was shopping with Dani, who's my wife,

and I got three peppers.

This is where the idea came from.

You ever do this, where you got so many things in your hand,

you close your car door,

you actually lock your keys in your car?

Anyone ever do that?

Do it all the time.

But, this is where the trick came from.

So here's an idea.

I need to borrow somebody

whose got their car keys on them.

A set of keys.

House keys, car keys.

Anybody?

You have them?

You mind if I use- - Yes.

- Anything, whatever you got.

Go for it.

You're very colorful.

Yeah, come on up.

Oh, nice purse, yeah.

Let me see your keys.

Got some keys in there?

I know I'm so forward, but...

Great.

Look at, wow, they're colorful

just like your dress and your purse.

Look at that. How cute is it?

Wow, you're not gonna get hit by a car

walking across the street with that, are you?

All right, great.

These are, what, house keys?

Yeah, something like house keys.

- Yeah, apartment.

- Perfect. Okay, great. Excellent. Very nice.

Now we got these. Now, I got a really cool idea.

I got a little bag back here, all right.

I realized, take those keys,

and then drop those keys inside the bag for me right there.

Ooh, that's nice.

Perfect.

And then do a magical gesture.

Ooh, look at that.

Very nice.

Watch really carefully,

this is the best part.

One, two, three.

Look at that.

But, we had the peppers here.

Remember I told you it was all about the peppers,

wasn't it?

Before we get any further, they've been here

the whole time, before we've even met, correct?

I love these.

Put a little hummus on them, delicious.

We've got a yellow,

and we got a red,

and, of course, we have a green.

- Green.

- Green, yeah, you sure?

- Yeah, it matched the jacket.

- Look at you being funny like that,

I don't wanna touch the pepper.

And grab the green pepper.

Marina has the ability to see through my eyes,

even when we're not in the same place.

Tonight we'd like to show you

how far we can take this,

and why it might be dangerous in the wrong hands.

You guys have been examining the blindfold

from the beginning, yes?

Jocelyn, we'll give you that to keep at the end, okay?

That doesn't sound true,

but it is.

52 factorial is a 68 digit number.

But wherever you finish shuffling, Koy,

that's gonna be your order.

- The first card I believe is black,

and it's a Jack,

a Jack of Spades.

- Oh, now it's a red card, James,

and it's just below.

Can you tell me what this one is?

- James, please hold it in your hand.

- Cool.

- I can see a black card.

I can see a queen.

This is a queen of clubs.

- That's right.

Okay.

- But, Koy, bearing in mind

you shuffled the cards,

we're gonna show you something totally impossible.

As I deal through,

- Okay, stop.

- Koy, I believe you've stopped

exactly at a three of clubs.

Anyway, Koy, as promised,

Let me grab the box.

Because I don't want you to think

this is some kind of card trick,

which is why I'd like to use

a much more personal card.

Can you put those into your pocket?

And, if you have a wallet with you,

can I borrow it?

- It's a black wallet.

- Okay, I'm touching something in the wallet,

what's this?

- A balloon.

- James, I believe this is a MasterCard,

and I have a feeling that it's from a local bank.

And, you may not remember all the numbers

on that card even though you might use it

every single day,

but those numbers are locked somewhere in your mind,

so please try and think about the last time

that you used this card,

and I will tell you the three digit security code.

followed by, yeah, that's a seven.

Usually it's numbers on the side from one to six.

But tonight we'll use imagination.

You can look from all sides.

And, in your imagination,

pick one number.

Imagine you see a number.

Do you have a number in your mind?

- Yep.

- Do you want it back?

- Yes.

- And it's interesting because

you could name any number.

And I know what you are thinking,

if I'm a mind reader,

And in a moment you will understand why.

From England, here is the amazing Josephine Lee.

- This is 1300 pounds of steel.

28 steel spikes hung by this rope.

Once this rope is set on fire,

I have only 40 seconds to free myself

until

(metal clangs)

that happens.

But instead of standing here,

I risk being underneath those spikes.

Ladies and gentleman,

this is about precision.

It's about accuracy,

and having one shot at getting this right.
