the players arrived here at this Scottish castle

to play the game of a lifetime

and to hopefully win up to £120,000.

But hidden amongst them are the traitors

whose job is to secretly murder the others

without getting caught.

And if they make it to the end,

they will take all the money.

With the players past the halfway mark,

the drama just keeps coming.

- Maddy's an actor.

- WTF.

- So I decided to give the players a night off.

There is no round table.

(all cheering)

Who here likes party games?

But party games on The Traitors will always have a twist.

Who do you trust the most?

- Theo.

- Andrea. - I'm gonna take Amos.

- Kieran. - Will.

- Fay.

(dramatic music)

- Aaron.

- Hannah. - Meryl.

- With no one choosing Maddy,

she had a dilemma on her hands.

This is £3000.

That was what was made on the mission today.

Are you gonna take the money and run

or are you gonna stay in the game?

- I'm a team player, I'll stay in.

(all clapping)

- [Claudia] That wasn't the only revelation of the night.

- You must murder in plain sight.

(dramatic music)

- So who wants to do the kiss of death?

- Yeah, I'll do it.

We've got Andrea.

- [Will] Amos.

- [Amanda] And Theo.

- [Claudia] Who will receive the deadly kiss?

- The whole process of being a traitor

is, like, one of the hardest things I've ever done

'cause I'm constantly lying to people

that I've started to care about.

That kiss.

because it's, like, right in front of everyone.

So it needs to be really inconspicuous.

So I'm really stressing now.

- [Claudia] After the traitors

murdered in plain sight last night

with Amanda's kiss of death,

the question is, did it go unnoticed?

And who will be the sixth faithful to be murdered?

This is the first time I've ever been first.

(Kieran laughing in relief)

I just hope Amos gets down.

He's been lost the last couple of days, hasn't he?

Again, you gotta think who could do it.

- [Will] Pull it off, yeah.

There's so many people here that could play the part.

I think Amanda is just sailing.

If I'm honest, I think she's the dark horse at the minute.

- She's not been targeted once.

- I think she's cool, calm and collected.

- You were so worried 'cause we knew we had shields.

I felt a bit better.

We knew that we even could have had a shield.

- [Aaron] Mate, I am so shocked.

Like, not including Amos and Kieran,

'cause they've only just got here.

- Yep.

- [Will] Who's never ever been under any sort of scrutiny?

So, you have to have multiple, multiple strategies.

just from the way he talks and he gets upset and stuff.

I really, really want to catch the traitors

just so that we can say,

"Look, us faithfuls won it."

I think it's a good theory.

So for me, being around Amanda

is like becoming another safety blanket for me.

I can really trust her.

- It's going to get harder for that traitor or traitors.

- Last night the murdering was out in the open.

The tension is very, very immense

'cause everybody is watching.

Every minute of every day, someone is clocking someone.

You're more in the firing line when there's less players.

Maddy, how'd you feel about your twist?

- Yeah, I feel like a team player, right?

But I wish I'd just grabbed that money and ran.

- I'm not gonna lie, in that situation,

I was just thinking about my mom.

All I can think of is just, like,

my mom's just in the back of my head constantly.

And I just, if I could win that prize pot

just so I could put, you know,

some money down for a deposit for her to get her a house.

Like, that's just in the back of my mind,

like, all the time.

So I just think, "No, just keep fighting for mom."

- But that's confirmed that you are a faithful now.

- [Maddy] Yeah.

- You haven't got to worry.

- [Amanda] I think it done Maddy a favor.

- [Theo] Who's left?

- [Fay] So it's Andrea or Amos, one of the two.

- Andrea and Amos.

You've gotta think this is the game, isn't it?

All the strong people are getting killed off.

Now everyone's crystal clear how I felt about Amos.

I mean, I think the world of him.

Andrea, I really just think she's an amazing woman.

It's like my worst nightmare to be fair.

I didn't think that was how people were murdered.

I have received a kiss, but I kiss everyone.

Amos.

Amos is the sixth person to be murdered.

And his fate was sealed by the traitors

at last night's party.

And yeah, everyone's just really sad.

- We're going to work together to make three good teams.

- [Amanda] Yeah.

- So we can all, you know, in our teams work really well.

- I can't understand the logic.

- What I can't understand if I was a traitor, right,

I'd want to be in it for the money.

- [Fay] Absolutely.

- Because you wouldn't be doing this

if you weren't in it for the money.

You couldn't do this to other people, right?

With Amos, I would've thought

he is such a big thing to the missions to get money.

We've already got 68-70,000.

That's quite a lot of money, regardless of topping it up.

So whoever wants it now, wants him out the way very quickly.

- [Meryl] So they can go. - Yeah.

If I won the money,

I would definitely spend some money

on some of the boys at my school.

I'd take them to Disneyland, Paris and for a treat.

And I probably would look at, you know, retiring.

So that would be good.

- These traitors have got to have a game plan.

So when every time we, like, give a theory out,

then, like, they just work with that theory.

Because everybody in that room

is getting broken and broken and broken down.

that Amos weren't gonna come back

'cause they went through all that together.

to be a traitor yesterday.

Think of it not so much as a treasure hunt,

but a truth hunt.

Each team will have a separate car

and you're gonna go on a route.

There will be crossroads with different signposts,

true or false.

Next to them there's gonna be metal boxes

with questions inside.

In there will be a statement relating to your fellow players

based on answers you gave me earlier

when you filled in a questionnaire.

If you pick the wrong answer, you're gonna hit a dead end.

If you pick the correct answer,

then you stay on the right track and complete the course.

You have just 45 minutes to finish.

And for each team that can complete the course,

within the 45 minute allotted time,

you add £2000 to your prize fund.

So if all teams do well today,

that's £6,000 added to the pot.

But you won't just be racing against the clock,

you will also be competing with each other

because the team that does it in the fastest time,

you get those lovely passes to the armory

for a chance to win a shield

that protects you from tonight's murder.

Enormous luck, I think today will be quite revealing.
