Stephen: What's coming is a blizzard of horror.
Celia: I've been going round snooping.
Lucy: This is life or death, isn't it?
Claudia: 19 celebrity players
arrived at this Scottish castle
to play the ultimate murder mystery.
Claire: Let the games commence.
Alan: Maybe I have got a dark side.
Claudia: All in the hope of winning up to £100,000
for their chosen charity.
Come on!
Claudia: One by one, the Faithful have fallen.
Joe W.: By order of the Traitors,
you have been murdered.
Oh my god!
Claudia: And with only one Traitor
caught along the way...
I have been all through the game completely faithful...
to the Traitors!
Claudia: a deadly dinner party...
You must murder in plain sight at tonight's dinner.
Parting is such sweet sorrow, Celia.
Claudia: and the penultimate Round Table...
- Kate. - Joe M.: Kate.
Claudia: sealed the fate of the final five.
Oh, jeez!
Claudia: But with suspicion still circulating...
I'm pretty sure that Cat is a Traitor.
I am a Faithful.
Yeah, I'm not having it.
Claudia: have the Traitors done enough
to take the win?
If it comes down to me and you, we split it between us.
Yeah, Traitors for life, yeah.
Claudia: Or will the remaining Faithful hunt them down?
I think that Cat and Alan are Traitors.
I'm coming for you.
This is The Celebrity Traitors.
It's the final morning and, with no murder last night,
all five players will be heading to the castle
for one last breakfast.
Nick: Am I the first in?
Ah, no one else is here.
I feel really good.
I can't believe that I'm a Faithful
and that I have survived to see my final breakfast.
Wow, wow, wow.
It has been the most overwhelming experience.
I did worry that, you know, when the game first started,
and I helped Celia in that twist...
Shield!
Claudia: Yes!
I thought that it had maybe put a target on my back.
Nobody's put Nick forward before, have they?
Nick: But I'm still here.
I have loved it.
There's been times where it's felt difficult,
frustrating.
I can't believe it.
But overwhelmingly, it's just been absolutely thrilling.
Alan: How's Nick done that?
Nick: However, because this is the last day,
I think you have to speak up.
You can't sit back now.
My gut is saying that Cat is a Traitor.
And, you know, I've lasted this far.
I really want to win now.
Come in!
Who is it?
Hey, Cat.
Cat: Hello, how are you?
It's not very weird sitting here on my own,
just looking at the painting board and just
seeing how mad it is, how many people have gone.
I know.
It feels amazing to be in the first ever
Traitors celebrity final.
I've surprised myself that I could be a Traitor
and be quite a good one.
I'm not a Traitor.
No, I don't think you are.
They're not going to know what hits them.
But also the confidence I'm growing in myself
every single day.
La, la, la.
I do struggle with socializing.
You love making drinks, don't you?
It's kind of like exposure therapy,
being around this many people.
I'd like to speak.
I've made some real friends in here.
I started to feel quite sad having to murder them.
I'm not happy with you.
Cat: I'm sorry, Lucy.
You're okay!
You're nearly halfway, darling.
Me and Alan are doing great together.
Two Traitors in the final.
We are not going to throw each other under the bus.
Traitors for life.
I've come a very long way.
I'm just trying not to slip up at the last hurdle.
We're in the final.
I know.
It's been quite a journey.
Nick: Hello, hello, hello?
Oh!
- Look at the outfit. - Ooh, I love, outfit.
I love this.
See the shoes?
- Nick and Cat: Oh! - Alan: Yes.
With clasps on.
Oh my god, I'm in the final.
I mean, and let's face it, I have worked hard.
It's definitely had a jet wash.
I started this game a bit of a nervous wreck.
The turret's up that way, love.
I'll see you up there.
Oh, god, please.
I've thrown some really good friends under the bus.
You've got a bit of hair in your face.
Oh, thanks.
Alan: I've murdered national treasures
in plain sight.
Partying is such sweet sorrow, Celia.
I'm clearly a better liar and a better Traitor
than I thought I was.
Oh, I wish she hadn't got that shield.
I would have killed her off.
The one thing I've learned about
my whole Traitors experience is I'm a fighter.
I've got you!
Hurry up, you dickhead!
Oh my god!
Oh, no, it's a rock.
I'm quite good at creating chaos.
Oh!
You're telling me
you've said to Claudia, "I'll just be a Faithful."
It is the final and we've still got two Traitors left.
I am a Faithful.
I am!
My game plan is to use my powers of persuasion.
You can trust me.
And not to mess it up.
Bring it on.
It's been so surreal, and so unique.
It really has.
Wonderful, infuriating.
It's been everything.
It's been absolutely everything.
Come in!
- Hello. - Nick: Yes.
- Cat: Hello. - Hi, Joe.
Did you ever think...
What, in general?
- No, do you have... - I have thoughts, yes.
Let me finish the sentence.
Okay.
Did you ever think you'd be in the final?
Not in a million years.
Alan: None of us did.
Alan and Cat: None of us did.
- Nick: It is good. - How cool is it?
Never thought I would make it past day one.
I'm knackered, but I have a shield.
Let alone get to the final.
Give it some!
Players: Yeah!
Alan: Don't get up!
Joe: What do you mean, don't get up?
It's been a bonkers journey.
From the start, where I was pretty intimidated
by the celebrity names, didn't know how to really
behave around people.
I just don't think I'm going to go to the Round Table.
Being the ringleader of the first Traitor banishment.
I can't get my head to stop thinking about you, Jonathan.
I have been all through the game completely faithful...
to the Traitors!
Yeah!
I'd started to change my behaviour a little bit
and open up to the group.
I miss you, mate.
- I trust you implicitly. - Likewise.
Being in The Traitors final
is way more stressful than playing for England.
My gut feeling is that Cat and Alan are the Traitors,
but actually when it comes down to it, Nick, he's the only one
I'm really, really confident of being a Faithful.
Make it stop!
All bets are off.
I want to win it.
Just got to work out how.
No, but we should be really proud of ourselves.
Alan: We should! I am buzzing.
Come in, David!
Alan: Oh, yeah.
Surprise, surprise.
Surprise, surprise. Hello.
David: I'm completely amazed that I've got
this far into the game.
Never thought I'd get past the first
few banishments or murders.
Never thought I'd survive the chests of chance.
I never dreamed I'd be in the final.
I've put down Niko.
I'm a Faithful.
David: I totally underestimated how difficult this game is.
I totally underestimated what it is like
to be at the Round Table.
- Stephen. - A Faithful.
To be on the missions, it's one thing watching this on TV.
It is a totally different thing living this game.
Kate: Mind your feet!
David: My strategy of trying to look for behaviours
hasn't got me anywhere.
I think we're all holding back because we've just
loved being with each other.
This has been an amazing experience
with some wonderful people.
That we've built real friendships here.
I just didn't think I'd have so much fun.
If you're playing a game,
the best case scenario is that you win.
But whatever happens, we're leaving the castle
as a group of friends.
That's just, that's kind of wonderful.
I hope whatever the mission is today,
we can have as much fun as we have in all of them.
We have to.
Because it's been the best part of the journey.
Nick: Hi, Claudia!
Alan: Oh, hello!
Claudia: Hello!
It's your final breakfast.
Nick and Cat: I know.
How lovely to enjoy breakfast knowing nobody's been murdered.
Players: Yes.
And the final five.
We started with 19 players, and it's you.
Well done.
You've absolutely smashed it.
Tonight, the game will end and your fates will be decided.
So, today,
question everything and everyone.
But first, a mission.
Yes.
Claudia: And it's a big one.
And one more thing.
Oh, no, sorry.
I lost my train of thought.
Alan: Train!
Cat: Ah!
Has she said that wrong?
Isn't it trail of thought?
Players: No, train of thought.
I lost my train of thought.
Did you think it was trail, Joe?
Alan: Right, shall we go outside?
- Cat: Yeah. - Library?
Joe: If you want, yeah.
Alan: I'm really going to miss this view.
Cat: It's gorgeous.
What an experience.
Alan: It feels almost wrong to be talking about
who we think's going to get banished and...
David: Yeah.
'Cause you can't help but just be reflective
on the experience.
David: I just haven't got the energy to work out
who's a Traitor.
I'm suspicious of you, I'm suspicious of everybody.
Everybody, we have to be, yeah, we have to.
Well, it's got to be one of us.
Or two of us.
Cat got some heat from Nick last night,
and obviously our strategy has to change.
Me and Cat just have to stay strong and not slip up.
I've been thinking all night how...
we play this out.
Before we enter End Game...
There's a banish... there's a Round Table.
Nick: There is a banishment.
I mean, look, I voted for Cat, so I think I would vote
for Cat in there.
Let's assume Cat and Alan are going to go with David,
'cause I think they will.
Option one, I could go for David and then David's gone,
but that's almost like sacrificing another Faithful.
The other option to that is actually
we get round David today
to say, "This is what we're thinking."
We go with getting rid of Cat.
There's different scenarios we have.
Yeah.
But ultimately, the only way
I'm ending the game...
is if I'm in the final two with you.
Ideally, Cat would be banished first.
I think Joe might go with me and vote for Cat.
But a tiny, tiny bit of me is telling me not to completely,
utterly believe that Joe Marler is a Faithful.
Alan, there's a question mark over.
Hello.
I'm more inclined to say David's a Faithful than Alan.
I don't know.
I think we have to work on the basis that there
were three Traitors.
Alan: Mmm.
So, obviously, we've got Jonathan.
Ideally, we would banish the person who we banish,
who's, you know, who takes the number down to four.
Hope they're a Traitor, but we'll never know.
So then there's four of us left.
But then it's like, what to do?
I forgot about the Round Table.
Nick: I know, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's important you don't forget that though, Alan.
Well, let me know.
If there's... if I'm not there at the seat at the Round Table,
come and find me in the castle.
Claudia: It's time for the final mission.
This is the last chance for the players to add money
to the prize pot for the winner's chosen charity.
Final mission!
Alan: Come on!
I'm hoping it's like a steam train,
'cause I won't be happy with, like, you know,
242 from Inverness.
I want the full shebang.
I'm more certain of you being a Faithful...
Than you are of yourself?
Don't think you can do that.
This is our last chance to get a whole lot of money.
Yeah.
Traitor, Faithful, who cares?
Let's just get lots of money, yeah?
David: Absolutely.
Nick: Oh... hang on.
Right, what's going on here?
Oh, that's the train station.
Hi.
- Hey, Claudia. - Hey.
Welcome to your final mission.
You have had some epic missions, haven't you?
Players: Yeah.
That is nothing compared to this.
If you are successful today, you will add an extraordinary
£20,000 to the prize fund.
Players: Wow.
So how are you going to do that?
Wow.
I've never seen a steam train before in my life,
except on TV, which was fun.
Felt like I was transported back in time.
That is excellent timing.
Yeah.
Claudia: Players, this is The Traitors' Express.
An express is the right word to use,
because to be successful in today's mission
you are going to have to be fast.
Very soon, you are going to board the train.
There are five carriages.
In the back carriage, there are four locked crates.
Each crate contains
£5,000 worth of gold.
In each carriage, there is a key.
Retrieve the key and get to the end.
This train stops at the end of the line
in exactly 20 minutes.
- Okay. - Whoa.
So you have to find the keys, unlock the crates,
and get the gold in 20 minutes.
In those crates, there's gold.
That's lovely.
There is also...
explosives.
Oh my god!
When the train stops, get the gold,
get off the train, and come to me
before the crates explode.
Oh my god.
Cat: Oh my gosh, Claudia.
Players, are you ready for the most exciting
commute of your lives?
Yes.
Okay, I've always wanted to say this, all aboard.
- Okay. - Oh my goodness.
Good luck.
There's no other options to commute?
You're going to be alright, Joe.
Joe: Alright, okay.
Players: Oh!
Cat: Joe!
Why are you slamming it like that?
Listen, I love a steam train, but not when it's packed
with explosives.
There's me thinking it's going to be like the Orient Express,
but actually it's more like that film Speed.
Nick: The murdered?
Alright, here we go, guys, here we go.
Alan: Oh my god, look at this!
Nick: So we're looking for a key.
So there's portraits.
Oh, it's Joe!
We saw paintings of all of the players
that me and Alan have murdered.
All little RIP signs.
Joe: Why is there a hole in Lucy?
So, we're looking for a key... oh, key!
- Alan: You found it? - Nick: It's in here.
So, a combination...
There must be a code.
Joe: What's the code length?
Cat: Five.
We could see the key, which had been,
you know, padlocked shut with a kind of combination lock.
Celia? Is it Celia?
Do you spell her name?
Maybe.
Alan: Yeah, Celia. Oh, there's no C.
Nick: Unless it's an anagram of Celia.
Joe: Hang on, R-I-P, R-I-P, R-I-P.
Players, two minutes have gone.
- Alan: How many minutes? - Two minutes have gone already.
Claudia, don't do this to me, please.
It took us forever.
Oh, hang on, Ruth, A-R-O-L-P.
Rolp, rolp, rolp.
It was not a good start for us.
We can't fail on the first one.
We were just really struggling to work out what the code was.
R-I-P.
It's three letters.
- R... - Rest in peace.
- R... - Joe: Peace!
Nick: R-I-P-C-I?
Alan: R-R...
- Joe: Peace! - Alan: Peace!
Alright, shut up!
No, no, no.
Joe: Hang on, look at where the rips are.
There were slight rips in the pictures,
and I went, "Oh, R.I.P.
R.I.P."
- Rip, tear? - Oh, tear.
- Alan: Tear, and a tear. - Oh, yes!
Oh, good.
Excellent.
We scrabbled at each of the paintings,
and behind them were a series of letters.
Alan: Oh my god, of course!
Rip!
There's an E on that one.
D. What's that one?
- Cat: T. - Alan: Is it death?
D-E-A-T-H?
Nick: Yes, maybe. Yeah, try it.
This is an H.
- That's an A and an H. - Alan: It's definitely death.
Push it, pull it.
- Players: Yes! - Yes, yes, yes!
- Well done, Alan. - Joe: Put it in your pouch.
Right, I'll put it in my pouch.
- Put it in your pouch. - Everyone, it's in my pouch.
Nick: Okay, the banished.
Joe: The banished.
Okay, you can do this, but time is running out.
Right, we've got to speed up, guys.
We've got to speed up.
Okay, look, look, look, here we go.
- Jonathan. - Tameka, Kate, Alan.
Oh, wow, it's our actual ones!
Carriage two, everyone spots our actual slates
that we'd used at the Round Tables.
Oh, right, where's the key?
Number of votes for the banished.
Nick: The number of votes for the banished.
Nick: Okay, right.
Oh, hang on, let's count 'em.
- David: Yeah. - So someone pick a name.
- Nick: - Tameka.
Right, I've got all the Jonathans.
It was another combination lock.
We had to put in the number of votes for the banished.
So Jonathan, Tameka.
Joe: You got Mark?
- Cat: Yeah. - Joe: There's Mark.
Oh, god, there's loads here.
- Joe: Quicker, quicker! - Yeah, yeah, quicker, quicker.
We'd wasted a lot of time, so it was a race against the clock.
Nick: One, two, three, four.
I was going up and looking high on the racks
to make sure we hadn't missed any slates.
57, 58.
Another one for Claire, 58.
I think it must be 58.
Let's just check all the ones we've got to make sure
we're not missing anyone.
Nick: Yeah, I think it must be 58.
Joe: I've put 058, it's not 58.
- Nick: Okay. - Alan: You're joking me.
We tried 58 originally, but it was wrong.
The lock wouldn't open.
Any more?
And we had a recount.
Ah, I've got it!
- Oh! - Ha, ha, ha!
- Nick: Yay! - Let's go!
Finally, 61 worked.
It was such a relief, 'cause we haven't got much time left.
We ready?
No way!
Open the door, nearly lose control of my bowels.
Not a chance!
Alan: No way!
Nick: Okay, quick, find the key.
I did not see that coming.
We were outside, I could see cows, I could see a river.
Nick: Where's the key?
Joe: Hang on, we've got to undo the chain!
Nick: Right, okay.
Joe: Where's it tied to?
In front of us were two coffins with chains wrapped around them
and we had to get the key that was inside.
Joe: Where's the start?!
Alan: If Paloma's in here, that's a really good sport.
Joe: Hang on, I've got it here!
- Nick: Well done. - David: Is it all one chain?
Yeah, it's all one chain.
Unwrap it that way.
We had to unchain these coffins.
Well done, Joe.
I say we, Joe Marler mainly unchained the coffins.
He was like the strongest man alive.
Alan: So lift it up.
- Joe: No! - Alan: No, okay.
Joe: Undo that bit.
I led a little bit here 'cause I was happy to lose a finger.
Alan: Can we open it up?
Joe: Yeah.
Alan: Oh, what's in...
Cat: Well, the things that Lucy...
Lucy and the Apollo.
Nick: Oh, right, where's the key?
Joe: Hang on, we've got to open that one.
Open the next coffin, come on.
Can we have a time check, please?
Six minutes left.
Six minutes left! Six minutes left!
- Nick: Six minutes. - Joe: Hang on.
We had wasted so much time in carriage one and I was
thinking we're never gonna do this.
Pull!
See if that opens, pull that one!
Alan: Do you think we can get it open?
Joe: It's a screw, hang on!
Alan: Come on!
Joe: Ah! Hang on!
- Alan: You got it? - Joe: Let's go!
Alan: Quick, put in me bum bag!
- Put in me bum bag! - Come on!
We ain't got time for your bum bag!
What's this?
What are we looking for?
David: Just a key, I guess it's just a mad scrabble.
- Alan: What we doing? - Joe: Just have a look!
Alright, shut up, I'm only here.
The fourth carriage, there was just sort of
like big barrels of coal.
We're looking for keys, yeah?
We just had to simply dig and try and find that key.
Joe: Oh, here we go.
Ah! Nick!
It's not me!
What's that, what's that?
Ah!
- Sorry, Joe. - Nick, you keep doing it!
- It's the wind. - Ah!
Nick!
Nick: I'm gonna hold it up with my head.
Players, you've got three minutes left.
Alan: Three minutes to go, guys! Come on!
When we found out we had three minutes left,
it was half panic, half adrenaline.
We were so close, and then obviously
we had the threat of the explosion.
- We've gotta get the money! - Yeah, we need to get the money!
- Let's go! - Let's get the money!
The clock was ticking.
We did think, "Shall we just go and bank the money
with the three keys and forget about the fourth?"
Can I get in here? Come on.
Joe: Nick was determined to find that key.
He fully got in the crate. It was like a cat litter.
Yeah, got it, got it, got it!
- We've got it. - Let's go!
- We've got the key! - Let's go!
- Hang on, some one get... - Get it.
Players, one minute left.
You're nearing the end of the line.
Alan: One minute left.
Come on!
Yeah, got it, got it, got it.
Joe: What numbers are they?
- Alan, just give us... - What's the number?
I've got three.
This is number one.
- This is number two. - Number two.
5,000, 5,000, 5,000.
Claudia: The train is here.
£20,000. Yes, yes, yes.
At that point, we had less than 30 seconds.
- It's gonna blow! - Go, go, go, go.
Come to me!
Alan: Okay, let's go. Come on, come on, come on.
- Come on! - It's gonna blow.
- Get out! - Time's running out. Come on!
Run! Quick!
We did it!
Guys, you did it!
- Yes! - Yes!
I can't believe it! How did you find it?
Amazing. Amazing.
- The best. - It was amazing.
You worked beautifully as a team.
You have added £20,000 to the prize fund.
So your total is
£87,500.
Congratulations.
So, what a day.
Here's the thing, it hasn't really begun,
'cause up next is your final Round Table.
I will see you at the castle, but congratulations.
You just jumped off a train and then it exploded.
Please, get in your rides.
Joe: What a final mission.
To our last Round Table tonight.
Yeah. I'd love to know where David's head's at.
You find out where David's head's at
and I'll find out where Cat and Alan are.
I'm dreading the Round Table
because I think it's gonna be intense.
I don't know if I'm prepared for how intense it's gonna be.
But not like the others, because we won't know.
Also, no one will have their speech to say,
"Guys, you've really got egg on your face."
Yeah, well, exactly, we won't know.
What a mission, eh?
That was just crazy.
Alan: I'm so proud of you, Joe, with those chains.
Honestly, you were so good.
Joe: I know.
Alan: The way you yanked them.
Nick: I'm weirdly quite hungry.
Oh, look, dumplings.
Well, this reminds me of school dinners.
"Please, sir, can I have some more?"
Were you around when Charles Dickens was around?
Mm, don't choke.
Cat: You are.
Alan: I love Cat.
Last night in the turret, we made a pinky promise.
We're gonna look after each other
and we're not gonna throw each other under the bus.
Oh. - Hello, Joe Marler.
Alan: As long as Joe thinks me and Cat are Faithfuls,
we can get rid of David, we can get rid of Nick.
Just stick with Joe, because Joe trusts us.
I've just got to hope everything goes to plan.
Nick: How are you feeling about tonight?
David: I feel clueless.
The thing I wonder is whether people
who voted for Jonathan early on,
that that was part of a camouflage.
Well, that'd be Joe.
Alan would be a complete guess.
David: Yeah, yeah.
It's amazing, there's been so little suggestion that Alan...
Mm. And it's weird, 'cause then...
it's like, "Oh, well, maybe that's a clue, but...
I have a question mark over Alan,
but I'm gonna vote for Cat, because I voted for her
yesterday and there's been a couple of things.
I have suspected Cat before. - Yeah, so...
I've gone round the houses. - Yeah.
And I've thought about everybody.
I have thought about Cat as well.
Are you a Faithful, David?
I promise you I'm a Faithful.
I always have been.
- Really? - Yeah.
- Promise me. - I promise you. Absolutely.
My presumption is that Cat
and probably Alan will vote for me.
So, given all other strategies have failed,
I think I've got to make an alliance with Nick.
If Nick and I vote for Cat, then the deciding vote
will be with Joe Marler,
which will be revealing, one way or another.
What we doing at the Round Table?
I thought we already knew what we were doing.
The last time we spoke...
David.
You know, Jonathan's name came up again and again and again,
and then when we finally banished him,
we were like, "Why didn't we do this sooner?"
I know, David's name has come up again and again.
There is something...
There's something that's making everyone feel suspicious.
If we're all in agreement, my maths works this out.
Three beats two, doesn't it?
- Yeah. - Regardless of...
Even if they both ganged up and went with one...
Poor old Cat.
It's irrelevant.
It's irrelevant who David goes for.
Cat: Yeah, yeah.
He could go for me, he could go for you.
- Let's stick together. - Yeah.
My thoughts are still very much
that Cat and Alan are the Traitors,
but I've just formed this pact
that we were gonna banish David.
It's risky, I know, and it could backfire,
but I need to keep Alan and Cat on side
so they don't see it coming.
And then we pull the rug from under their feet.
Do you want any chocolate brought out?
Oh, yeah, go and get me, like, a little bowl of Maltesers.
- Okay, fine. - Maybe a fizzy.
Oh, okay, I'll get a tray as well, shall I?
Shall I put my pinny on?
- Cat: Yeah. - Okay.
I know.
I feel bad for him, but listen,
he's not gonna change his mind.
We have to stay thick as thieves with him.
- Yeah, so this is what we do. - David first.
- David first, then Nick. - Don't throw me under the bus.
I'm not throwing you under the bus.
Pinky promise, we said in the turret.
- We're winning it together. - Yeah, please.
Yeah.
I'll be so disappointed in you.
I don't think Joe is changing his mind.
If it goes to plan, we're laughing.
Exactly.
The end is in sight.
Joe seems like he's onboard with voting for David.
The ideal scenario, we banish David,
then banish Nick, then end the game.
Me and Alan, we've done so much together.
It could be a Traitors win as long as neither of us slip up.
19 celebrities arrived at this castle
to play the ultimate murder mystery game.
And now we're down to just five.
Three Faithful and two Traitors.
They're about to enter the Round Table for the last time.
And after this banishment, we will have our final four.
Going into the final Round Table,
my only kind of real hope is Nick does
what he's told me he's going to do,
which is to vote for Cat.
I've not been very good at convincing myself
someone's a Faithful and making a pact with them.
I may well be a lamb to the slaughter
who's been hoodwinked by better players.
I'm so nervous for this Round Table,
I think it's gonna be really intense.
Nick might vote for me again, but I'm ready to fight for this.
I've got my plan,
I'm hoping that I've done enough to get David out.
Nick: Going into this final Round Table,
we've gotta get them Traitors,
so the Faithful really do need to rally together now.
I've got a plan.
Yeah, I've got to hope and pray that I'm right.
If it goes the way I'm hoping it does,
then I get the deciding vote.
I've got to make a decision on whether to vote David or Cat.
I don't know. I don't know.
Alan: We're at the final Round Table.
We've got two Traitors that have been Traitors
since the very beginning.
But I hate being this cocky.
I've just got to be so careful.
Players, this is it,
the final Round Table.
It takes real skill and resilience
to make it this far.
So, to each and every one of you, well done.
The final prize fund, then.
It stands at a staggering
£87,500.
Before this night ends, one or more of you
will be taking that money home
to your chosen charity.
You will also leave
with all of the glory.
Remember, if only Faithful remain,
they share the pot.
But, if there is still a Traitor here,
they take it all.
A reminder, the banished player
will no longer reveal
if they are a Traitor or a Faithful.
So from now on,
you are relying only on gut instinct.
So, I ask you this, and I really mean it:
who can you trust?
Who is on your side?
Players, for the final time then,
the floor is yours.
I feel like we're a little family
and this is really hard.
Cat: I know.
But... No.
We've got to do this.
Yeah. Yeah.
Do we think there's one or two Traitors left?
What do we think? - I think two.
I think it's definitely two.
So, look, there are so few things anyone
can say with certainty, but, Alan, you know what?
I think I realize that I've often felt,
especially going to breakfast, like,
terrified and then this sheer sense of relief.
And what I often didn't get a sense from you
was the sense of relief that you'd survived, maybe.
And maybe that's possibly arguably true of you, Cat,
sometimes, that there was never this sort of...
Like a relief. Like, we've all had.
Like, we're relieved.
Oh, 'cause I go straight
into who's here. - Who's left. Yeah.
Alan: I'm in there
and I'm already counting before I've seen...
what I'm gonna have for breakfast.
I'm like... Oh, yeah.
Just with you, Alan, you know what I'm gonna bring up.
I forgot I had a shield.
You forgot you had a shield and that just... I was like,
"Why has he forgotten he's had a shield?"
Well, you didn't say you've got a shield.
You said...
"You'll sleep well tonight."
And I went, "What?"
And you went, "You've got a shield."
And I went, "Yes, I've got a shield."
You didn't say, "Have you got a shield?"
And I went, "No."
I don't know what you mean.
If you'd said, "You've got a shield," and I went, "No,"
I just didn't know what you were saying.
Joe,
as I'm someone who raised your name
several Round Tables ago,
I found you incredibly difficult to read.
Other people have had the same thing you have.
In a castle full of comedians,
you've got some of the most amazing comic timing,
a fantastic sort of deadpan style,
and that would make a great Traitor,
somebody who's really, really difficult to read.
You've been somebody who's been energetic
in mentioning names and building narratives.
Now, the Faithful argument is you've played the game well.
That is what you're supposed to do.
But the other argument is
is that that's also a good strategy
if you were a Traitor,
to start building momentum against individuals.
I think the Traitors have probably kept me in the game
because so many people have gone,
"He's quite hard to read, isn't he?"
Yes, at the start, I was very guarded,
maybe harder to read.
The closer I've got in and the more I've got to know you,
the more comfortable I've got with you guys.
That's why I think the Traitors have kept me around,
'cause they're like, "Oh, he's a spanner in the works."
But could we say that your softening of your image
could be like a Traitor, you know?
You could be showing different sides of yourself
as we get closer to all that money?
- Yeah, definitely. - And I'd say with you,
you're on the same level as Jonathan
for going around whispering names.
Yeah.
I remember when Clare was banished,
you were straight down there next to me,
down by that fire pit, and you said, "Mark."
Joe: Yeah, I was adamant about Mark.
Clare wasn't even cold in the ground.
You went, "Mark."
I think that's unfair, actually, because that was
the one where Mark had slammed his hand and thing,
and I'd already had suspicions of him,
and then I was like, "It's him. I've solved it."
Yeah.
Obviously, I voted for you last night, Cat.
There was a thought that, well, maybe
you and Lucy were quite close,
and I wondered whether that was kind of a good move,
because it meant that you could kind of be quite,
seem to be quite close to a Faithful.
The only other thing, and the idea
that in the Wailing Banshee round,
that we had kept the fact that you had got the shield
hidden from the other team.
And obviously as a result, we were kind of,
we thought, oh, well, maybe we'll all be protected.
I wonder maybe if that was a brilliant double bluff.
In terms of a balance of Traitors
and those voices in the mix,
knowing that Jonathan was a Traitor,
I do feel that you'd be a really good, you know,
team player with Jonathan and, you know,
the idea of you as a duo...
and I think it's a trio, obviously...
but as a duo, that feels like a...
For the range of personalities, you would imagine that
that's what would work best as a team of Traitors.
For me, it's just a small suspicion.
I feel like we've got on really well.
- We have. - And it's been great.
The one small con I've got for you
is that you've been really quiet all the way through.
Mm-hmm.
I thought, well, maybe that's why.
Yeah. I think...
Throughout, I've always found the Round Table
just a lot of different voices
and, like, struggling to know when to put my thought in,
and then not sure, like, what I'd be adding,
because, you know, when I was voting for Stephen,
it was more of a gut thing of just, like...
So, kind of just going, "I'm gonna vote for you, Stephen,
because it's my gut,"
isn't really sort of furthering conversations.
With the forest situation, yeah, I genuinely
just thought that that would be a good way
to sort of kind of shield us all.
- But it did. - Yeah.
I just thought it would be a good way to shield us all.
It wasn't a double bluff.
And I was really close to Lucy.
We're just both Faithfuls.
The reason you gave about Cat is probably the reason why
I have suspicions about you, David,
because I just think, you know, Jonathan Ross is so out there,
audacious, gift of the gab.
You have got the gift of the gab,
but you do it in such a, you know...
- Cat: Poised. - What?
- Poised way. - Poised, yeah.
And cerebral and measured, yes.
So, yeah, I mean, then I was thinking,
one minute you had five votes
and the next Round Table you didn't.
And, I mean, I know we don't understand why that happened,
but, you know, if there are three Traitors,
you could've got a Traitor to go in every room and go,
"Why are you voting for David? That's a wasted vote."
You know, let's face it, we are a bit sheep-like.
- Mm. - You know?
And I know, I know, I know,
and you must be sick to the back teeth of being accused,
but a bit like Jonathan, your name keeps coming up.
David: The point about me being voted in the tie break,
I think what happened that night was that Joe Wilkinson
was so convinced that he convinced others.
Yeah.
The reason why it dissipated, I don't know.
I mean, I presume it was in the interests
of the Traitors to dissipate it.
But I was convinced by the fact that Joe Wilkinson was murdered
that that was the Traitors' attempt
to put more pressure on me.
And I think they presumed that I'd come up.
I think Jonathan voted for me twice in the next Round Table...
I just want to pick up on that.
Jonathan voting for you
when the writing was sort of on the wall for Jonathan,
it was like, was that him signalling, like,
"Look at David next"?
I think Jonathan voted for me for the same reason
that we've been talking about me,
because there were so many votes the previous day.
If there was any chance of him not being voted out,
it was in the hope that I'd get as many votes,
we might have another tie-break or something like that.
Players, the time for talk is over.
Please write down the name of the person
you believe is a Traitor.
Cat, we're going to start with you.
Who do you believe is a Traitor and why?
I've gone for yourself, David.
I'm so sorry.
I really, really hope I'm right.
David?
Well, again, belief is too strong,
but I return the favour, Cat.
Claudia: Nick.
I voted for the coolest person out of all 19 of us.
Cat.
Alan.
It's not the first time I voted for you,
but, David, I still think you're a Traitor.
I'm sorry.
So, a vote count.
Two for Cat, two for David.
So, it all comes down to Joe's vote.
Joe, who do you believe is a Traitor and why?
I'm sorry, Cat.
I've changed my mind.
I hope I'm right.
Cat, you have received the most votes
and you are banished from the castle.
You have been amazing.
What a game you've had.
Please, leave the castle.
I wouldn't change a thing.
I think I played it the best way I could.
It's been amazing.
Got to the final.
So, I'm proud of myself for keeping up a lie for this long.
I am gutted.
David's argument persuaded Joe to go towards me,
but he made the right decision.
I am a Traitor.
I had the most fun ever
and I hope Alan goes and wins it for us both.
Cat is the last player to be banished from the Round Table.
Was she a Faithful?
Was she a Traitor?
The answer to that you will only discover
when this is all over.
Players, think very carefully about your next move.
The next time I see you will be at the end game
and only then will all your fates be decided.
You are the final four.
I believe Cat was a Traitor. I do believe.
So do I.
She just wasn't even on my radar, but...
What just happened?
Why did Joe go rogue?
I don't know what he was thinking of,
and that has really thrown a spanner in the works.
I do feel vulnerable, you know?
I thought I'd have Cat by my side.
We just work so well together, but now I'm on my own.
That is terrifying.
It feels a bit of a hollow victory, doesn't it?
- I mean, we'll never know. - We'll never know.
Well played.
None of this feels good, though, does it?
Even if you go with, "It's just a game,"
like, we have all still made bonds.
Oh, god, there's not many goblets.
- Really? - Yeah.
Alan is the remaining Traitor.
We've got to get rid of Alan.
That's easier said than done,
'cause I just can't work out
whether Nick managed to convince David to vote Alan.
I did not enjoy that.
I know it's a game, but it bloody makes me feel...
- Sick? - Sick.
At this point, it does.
I've a good mind to close down Carl's Bar and move abroad.
I feel for Cat.
If she's a Traitor, wow, what a game she played.
Oh, what a game.
Well, the other thing was, she seemed to really relax
in the last day or two.
Joe's parting words to Cat were, "I'm sorry."
That was the first thing he said.
I'm pretty convinced she was a Traitor.
So there is sadly something
that's really making me question
whether Joe has just played an absolutely brilliant game.
But then, could it be Alan? Maybe.
I think I just have to go with my instincts now.
- Cheers to Cat. - Cheers to Cat.
And the final four.
To the final four.
And being in the final four. Cheers.
So Traitor Cat has been banished
at the final Round Table.
But of course, the Faithful don't know that yet.
The question is, can they do it again?
The end game is in sight.
Alan has remained undetected throughout the game.
So, will the Faithful unite?
Or will Alan take it all?
Did you ever think you'd be here in the final four?
Oh no.
I've surprised myself getting this far, yeah.
My wife and kids,
I don't think they're going to believe me
when I tell them I have made the final.
I'm just so grateful I got the chance to play this game.
What's your plan now?
My one true, hundy Faithful is Nick.
I've got to get rid of Alan
because there's just something that tells me he's a Traitor.
How do you feel about being the last remaining Traitor?
Oh god, did you see my face as Cat...?
I was like, Cat, don't leave me here!
Because I thought, wow, you know,
me and Cat were just going to vote them all off.
So I don't, I'm a loose cannon now.
I'm like a rudderless ship.
So what are you going to do?
I don't know what I'm going to do.
I've put everything on the line.
I can't trust Joe now.
I don't know who to trust.
What have you learned about yourself?
I mean, there is an image of what historians are like,
and it's a bit more serious and grown-up than I actually am.
Claudia: Who do you trust the most?
David: I don't think I trust anybody.
I think my strategy has got to, in some ways, go in reverse.
Not who do I most trust, but who do I most distrust.
You're going into the end game.
- I am. - How are you feeling?
It's a mixture of nerves and excitement,
because I'm nervous that I might have got it wrong again.
Because of the way Joe voted just now,
and said, "I'm sorry," there's a tiny part of me
that's going into endgame thinking he's a Traitor.
I have a question mark over Alan.
I do trust people quite quickly,
and my judgement's not always right on that.
Players, this is it,
the final showdown.
You are now fully in control of this game,
and only you decide when it ends.
Are you all Faithful,
or are there still Traitors among you?
The answer to that question is incredibly important,
'cause it could be worth
£87,500.
If you are all Faithful
and you decide to end the game,
that money will be split equally
for your four chosen charities.
But if there are any Traitors still here,
they take it all.
In front of you are chests
that contain ceremonial pouches.
One is labelled Banish Again,
the other is labelled End Game.
If you believe there are still Traitors in your midst,
then choose Banish Again.
If you believe you are all Faithful,
then choose End Game.
Players, there will be no discussion.
And let me say,
if just one of you chooses to Banish Again,
all four of you will vote a player out.
This game only ends when those that are here
decide to end the game
or if there are two players left.
Players, please choose your pouches.
Thank you, David.
It is time to find out what you'd like to do.
Banish again or end the game?
I will now throw your pouches into the fire
and that will reveal your answers.
Alan, we will start with you.
Let's see what you have chosen to do.
You have chosen to banish again. Why?
I've still got a little bit of unfinished business.
It's to do with Joe.
Earlier today, me, Cat and him were outside,
and he said, "Let's vote for David, all three of us,"
and that's what we said we'd do.
And yet, round the Round Table, he goes for Cat,
and it just made me very suspicious.
Joe, let's see what you've chosen to do.
You have chosen to banish again. Why?
I believe there is at least one Traitor still in the game.
Claudia: David, let's see what you've chosen to do.
You have chosen to banish again. Why?
Because I'm convinced there is at least one Traitor
still in the game around this table this evening.
And finally, Nick, let's see what you have chosen to do.
You have chosen to banish again. Why?
Like David, I also believe that there is one Traitor still here.
As you have decided all to banish again,
we will go to a vote.
Please write down the name of the person
you believe is a Traitor.
Alan, who do you believe should be banished and why?
I think it's Joe.
He's just been acting so suspiciously the last few days,
and I've put two and two together
and I think he's a Traitor.
Joe.
I was convinced that Nick and David were Faithfuls.
So that left one. I've gone for Alan.
Claudia: David.
I believe...
Joe is a Traitor.
And that's because on the night
I tried to raise the idea that Joe was a Traitor,
I came very close to being banished myself.
And when I think about who voted for me,
that makes me even more suspicious.
And for the final vote, Nick.
Joe.
Honestly, and I mean this,
you're the person I have got to know the most here,
and I adore you,
and honestly, I didn't believe it,
but you voting for Cat was what sealed it.
But I love you.
Joe, you have been amazing.
You have had a brilliant game.
But you have received the most votes.
You are banished. Please leave the castle.
Oh! I read it so wrong.
It hurts.
It hurts to be stabbed in the back last minute like that.
Not even an inkling.
Gutted.
So, Joe has been banished.
Only three of you remain.
But are you all Faithful, or is the Traitor still here?
Once again, you can now end things
right here, right now.
Or you can banish once more.
This is your last chance to banish someone,
because the game automatically ends
when there are just two of you.
Players, please select your pouches.
Alan, let's see what you have chosen to do.
End the game or banish again?
Alan, you have chosen to end the game.
- Yeah. - Why?
I just don't get any Traitor vibes from these two at all.
David, let's see what you have chosen to do.
You have chosen to end the game. Why?
Because I've never believed Alan was a Traitor.
I had suspicions about Nick,
but the way he's just spoken about Joe
means those suspicions evaporated.
And I may be wrong, it may not happen,
but I did love the idea of the three of us
all being Faithful and ending the game together.
Nick, this is the last pouch.
If it burns green, we end the game right now.
If the fire burns red, we banish again.
You have chosen to end the game. Why?
Well, the prize pot doesn't technically divide by three,
but I genuinely believe both of you are Faithful
and, um, I think we did it.
I think we got Cat and Joe right at the last second.
Claudia: Thank you.
So, the three of you have chosen to end the game.
If you are all Faithful, you will split the prize pot
between your chosen charities.
If there is a Traitor here,
though, they take it all.
A reminder,
the prize fund is currently
£87,500.
We are now going to finally discover who you truly are.
David, will you now please reveal,
are you a Faithful or are you a Traitor?
I am, and have always been,
a Faithful.
Nick, please reveal.
Are you a Faithful or are you a Traitor?
I am...
and always have been...
a Faithful.
Alan.
Now please reveal.
Are you a Faithful or are you a Traitor?
I am...
and have always been...
a Traitor.
Oh, fuck!
- I'm so sorry. - Oh...
It's been tearing me apart.
I'm so sorry.
- You did brilliantly, Alan. - You did brilliant.
You did brilliant, you did brilliant, you did brilliant.
It's a game and you played it brilliantly.
- You did brilliant. - It's a game.
You played it brilliantly, Alan.
You did it absolutely brilliantly.
Well done. You did brilliantly.
You did brilliantly. It's alright.
You did absolutely brilliant. It was amazing.
You're tearing me apart.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Come on, it's a game.
You've done it brilliantly.
You've done brilliantly and you've won.
- I feel so bad. - Don't be stupid.
Think about the charity. It's amazing.
- No, I don't want... no. - No, come on, come on.
Alan, you have won the game.
- Congratulations! - Whoo-hoo?
You have been absolutely outstanding.
Faithful, well done. You made it this far.
Is there anything you would like to say?
I just want to say, well done.
You played the game brilliantly.
It breaks my heart to see how that burden has weighed on you.
I couldn't do it, so I admire you
for doing it so brilliantly.
I almost can't believe that it was Alan.
And I thought it was almost everybody else.
What we saw is that that burden was really heavy for him,
because that's not who Alan is.
He's just a beautiful human being.
I mean, well played.
That was just brilliant.
Go on, Alan. Tell them who the others were.
- So Jonathan, we know... - Jonathan. And Cat.
Cat. Oh!
- Oh, Joe! - Not Joe?
No, not Joe.
- Wow. - Oh, god.
Oh, my god.
Utterly, utterly shocked.
Joe was right, and I was wrong about Joe.
Alan Carr.
Wow, he played an absolute blinder.
Nick and David, you have both been utterly phenomenal,
but now is the time, I'm afraid, to leave the castle.
Okay, bye-bye. Well done, Alan.
Off you go.
Oh, my god! Joe!
Come, come here, come here.
Oh, when he went, "Faithfuls together,"
I was like, "Don't say that."
Oh, god.
Listen, you've done it.
- You did it. - No, I have.
And that's an amazing amount of money.
It's an amazing amount of money.
You've won it. £87,500.
- Oh, that's amazing! - For your charity.
- Yes, wonderful. - Tell me the charity.
Neuroblastoma.
It's a wonderful children's cancer charity.
They are going to... oh, that money will change lives.
Thank you.
All that lying, all that treachery,
it was worth it, wasn't it?
You see? You did it.
You did it, Alan.
Oh! What...
What a rollercoaster!
How did this happen?
I was awful at lying, I had no poker face,
and here I am, the winner.
Come on, darling. There you go.
Maybe I do exaggerate a showbiz story now and again,
but to just lie so bluntly to people's faces,
it was tough.
I don't know whether I want to know.
I have been and have always been,
since the start, a Traitor.
You...
I'm not saying the words I want to say.
That was amazing.
Oh no!
Joe!
- Joe? - Joe!
I suggest you two have your drinks on the top step.
I thought I was being played, Joe.
I am so sorry.
I love you too, mate. It's been unbelievable.
- Well done, well done. - Well done.
You played an absolute blinder.
Cat, you went undetected for so long.
- Come on, come on. - Oh, wow.
I've got people who want to see you.
Oh.
It's Alan.
The winner!
Come on, come be with your friends.
Alan: Oh, I love you.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
- I'm an awful human being. - You are not.
- All: To Alan. - The winner.
He did it. Come on, darling.
Congratulations to our winner.
Thank you.
That's for you, Alan.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
- Congratulations! - Oh, wow.
To Alan Carr.
All: To Alan Carr.
- To Alan Carr! - To me.
To me, the most hated man in Britain.
No!
Say it one last time for me, darling, parting...
Parting is such sweet sorrow.
You've got something on your face, Claudia.
