So, Adam, why did you cruelly delete this wonderful scene?

Because it was actually too good, and it made the rest of the film look bad.

Which is often why we do, you know... Yeah, big problem with the scenes that I

write.

Now, like, you know, I always really like this sequence because it just, you

know, immediately set, you know, kind of Anna's character in motion as, like...

The suspicious one. Yeah, and...

But ultimately, I think it was just too confusing, especially whenever you

consider that later on in the film, the movie takes a huge detour just so that

David can go buy guns.

Obviously, David needed more guns than just a pistol.

But still, I think to a lot of people watching it, especially in the test

screenings, it wasn't necessary.

And also, it was a little too early to kind of totally...

paint David as, like, something really sketchy so far. Well, I just didn't like

the way that it was just kind of right there under the pillow.

Yeah, the blocking never really totally worked. Even this didn't really, you

know. I think they're both doing great work, you know. But, yeah, just

about it. I think Dan's funny right there. He's just so, like, yeah.

Yeah, I like that dynamic. But, I mean, originally her character was supposed to

kind of have, like, much more, like, trust and kind of abandonment issues.

As the kind of David -Anna relationship becomes in some ways more seductive, it

didn't add up to much.

It's like, he's a very good brother. Is he trying to kind of flirt with her?

I think it was better to make the choice that she's just more, like, suspicious

of him because he clearly has issues than because he's got a gun.

Oh, and then we showed up at the ballgame.

My shot was out of focus. That's why that was actually cut. Yeah, that was a

little soft.

You've got a degree.

So, boom.
