Sanctum is a secretive society where we do a black time masquerade, private

dinner parties, and an erotic theater.

It's a place for my members to explore their wildest fantasies and learn about

I'm in New York for the monthly masquerade. I've got clients that fly in

around the world to attend this masquerade. It's an incredibly important

to me.

But we're now a day away, and I find out that the event space that we're

supposed to use has a bunch of strings attached.

So I have to find a solution.

I've been in situations like this before, actually.

I've had only a day or two to find a location. Things have fallen through.

I make it work.

It's just a matter of where and how.

Moving into New York was something that I'd always wanted to do, but it's a

tough market. There's a lot of competition, especially in nightclubs.

And so I waited until we really had established ourselves in L .A.

It's like when I come in here, I'll be like, really?

I mean, I would be very disappointed, to be honest.

Imagine if we did the sanctum party here.

Imagine if people walked into this and this is what they saw.

I mean, it would be over. I would be disappointed.

Clearly, we could never do an event here. But it's interesting to see a

like this. And even whoever, like, recommended that we take a look at this

probably assumes.

that this is like on the level of what we would accept.

And it's fucking terrible.

It is. People are very interested and intrigued by whatever this is

conceptually. They're looking for like a new experience and something fun and

something exciting. But a lot of times what people don't see behind the scenes

is us scrambling to try to make it right.

Okay, this is the main penthouse. I mean, this will be the main one. As far

what's going on up here, we've got 500 square feet, maybe.

I would do two bars.

Okay, so we could do bottle service and performance in this area. We could do a

stage probably there, right? Mm -hmm.

We obviously don't need that. You know, it's not easy, but it's definitely

worthwhile knowing that I'm fulfilling someone else's needs and desires and

making them feel happy and good also. I get up on that.

This is a private room for those two. Okay. And then we have another room

And the journey to get to that first party seemed almost impossible.

So I find this venue, and when I met with the owners, you know, I said, I'm

going to cordon off a part of your club, and I'm going to have only my members

go in. And I said, I'm going to do this private show. And he said, well, what's

the show? And I said, well, I'm going to have these, you know, this couple in

blood. And he said, you're not going to have, there's no sex, right? I said, no,

of course there's no sex. And I knew, of course, there was going to be sex.

So I convinced them to let me do the event.

And the party is beautiful, and everyone looks good.

And then this sex show begins.

And the owner of the club walks in.

And he looks at the performers that are having sex.

And then he looks at me.

And I thought I was going to get maybe killed. Or I didn't know if I was going

to get arrested. I didn't know what was going to happen. But I had to do it. So

whatever was going to happen was going to happen.

And then he looks back at the show.

And he doesn't say a word. And he just watches the sex show.

Because you couldn't stop it. It was so...

beautiful there was something about the moment it was like um like if you can

imagine maybe like nirvana playing like smells like teen spirit for the first

time like something that has never happened before there's like moments in

when you're like something magical is happening and we're we're part of it

was that moment in that member lounge at this club and i knew in that moment

that i had something really uh Really special in my hands. We have an audition

situation, the whole event just by ourselves because he's just too dead.

So he needs to find a balance for sure. To be like still entertaining, but like

still focused and know what he's doing.

I don't get annoyed by Dems partying before an event.

Actually, that's not true. I do get a little bit annoyed because it kind of

takes away from my day. But it does bring us a fair amount of new guests and

clients. So when he does it in a way that it's fruitful to the business, I'm

like, yeah, do it. You are the face of this business.

operations and my head was in the game there. And that's what I was focused on.

I was not participating in any way. But as the years have gone on, I'm feeling

more and more like my best role within the club is to facilitate other people's

experiences. What are you doing in New York?

I have a party this evening. Oh, cool. What kind of a party? I'm doing a

masquerade, a black tie masquerade. Very fun.

But then it was natural to talk about the bull who would come in on the leash

It's really important to me that my family members somehow respect and

I mean, I understand the part that they don't like, but a lot of times they

don't talk about the parts that are good. I don't see anything intrinsically

wrong with what I'm doing. I mean, there's many people who really flourish

it, and they have a great time, and they're married, and their marriage is

hotter because of it, and it's great for some people.

I just think that you have to change it for your own well -being.

I mean, I understand that now people are going to want to do it all over the

place. But that means one party after the other.

And you're just going to be partying, partying. You know, sanctum is a whole

picture. It's not just a piece.

And if you just focus on a little piece of it, then you're missing everything

else. And I think that sometimes people will just focus on the bad part.

But I do believe there's a lot of good that is sanctum, and I wouldn't be doing

it if I didn't feel that way.

Sanctum gave me the ability to take care of my family. Five years ago, I was

sleeping in Melissa's mom's kitchen. Right.

I remember.

I had fucking $10 to my name. I was fucked.

And Melissa's dad was helping us out so we could eat. I mean, I felt so fucking

emasculated. I felt like, I just felt like the biggest loser. I wanted to kill

myself. Really?

No. And so now...

As this thing continues to, like, expand into what it's doing, I don't think a

sanctum will survive if I don't do what I'm doing the way I am.

it was his second event.

And I was working in one of the Hollywood venues doing something kinky.
