so bored by everything.

he was on the roller coaster.

He was trying to get back to a place

where he could feel something,
even if it was fear.

If he was artistically numb,
how could he create great music?

creating great music.

He just wasn't aware the music was great

because the déjà vu made him think

he'd created it all before.

Which would have driven him crazy.

And caused him to have negative feelings

about the things
that used to bring him joy.

Explains the breakup with Annie.

And the broken records in his apartment.
