Tony is battling Alzheimer's, but when
the music comes on, he knows every word.

And with his family's help, the
legendary crooner began rehearsing for

City Music Hall with his friend Lady
Gaga.

Tony's my musical companion.

Even in moments where he's looking at me
and I'm not sure if he has forgotten me

and our friendship saved my life.

Here from the Clown Off Theater, Tony
Bennett, the new singing sensation.

Thank you very much. When I first met
Tony, I was singing at a charity event.

And somebody came to me after the show,
and they said, Tony Bennett would like

to meet you. And I said, excuse me?

Mr. Tony Bennett. Tony Bennett's come
out now, and he's going to turn the

say it again. He's the greatest singer

Mr. Tony Bennett, thank you very much.

That's the first time I ever saw her
perform. The most profound entertainer

ever witnessed.

She herself, she's not like anybody

I was real nervous to meet Tony Bennett.
Plus, I looked crazy.

I had blonde in my hair and black in my
hair, red lipstick, four big velvet

moles on my face. I was doing my thing.

So I went into my trailer. I said, take
it all off and make me look like a lady.

And I went to meet Mr. Bennett.

And he said, would you make a record
with me?

And I said, Tony, thank you so much. You
only heard me sing two songs.

I realized what an artist she really is.

And then he said, lady, you are a jazz
singer.

The minute we're together, something
very good happens. It works.

about is what he's taught me.

like I don't even know who to call,
because sometimes you don't want to call

your mom and air out everything because

last album.

I knew I loved Tony before we made Love
for Sale.

But then we made love for sale and I
really knew how much
