Original subtitles

Alexander: It's anti-anxiety medication.

Some sort of metallic

nanite residue inside.

-Where'd the pills come from?

-Rachel Kasperian. My ex-fiancée.

-I figured you were almost out.

-He was tied to the three Assets

we lost in North Korea.

And then he just happened

to point us in the direction

of the evidence that exonerated him.

-He's cleared. Drop it.

Moira: If the two of you need to communicate openly,

there's a basement where signals are blocked.

-If he's such a good guy,

then part of him will feel guilty

that I've been assigned to fall for him.

-That's good.

I'll update the pages.

-"You're easy to pretend to fall for."

Alexander: You're asking me to see real intel.

Classified intel. Why?

-Because we want our enemy to see it, too.

If we stop giving them valuable intel, they'll notice.

Alexander: You're sacrificing Poseidon.

-Now we start the hunt.

Our enemy's selling intel to whoever wants it,

regardless of how

it destabilizes political alliances.

-We're hunting a lone wolf.

Chief of Staff: If you think this is all I have to deal with

this morning, you would be wrong.

I have better things to do,

but I will stay here all day until I find out the truth.

Seven people were on that email.

It has to be one of you.

Look me in the eye and tell me you didn't leak it.

-I didn't leak the draft memo, sir.

-I know your type.

I've seen it a hundred times on the Hill.

Young, first time staffer,

and you think you can do everyone's job

better than they can.

But to your surprise,

Washington didn't have the good sense

to anoint you the new golden boy.

So, you see a way to get some revenge.

Make a buddy in the press

and leak something to make us all look bad.

-I didn't leak the draft memo, sir.

[door opens]

[tense music playing]

-So, tell me, was it the money?

Money would be hard to turn down for me, too,

if I grew up like you.

Dirt poor.

Trailer parks as far as the eye could see.

Got into Princeton on a needs-base scholarship,

terrified for everyone to find out

you didn't belong there with the rich kids.

We've all noticed that nice suit

you wear every single day.

Almost as if it's the only suit you own.

[Cobb sighs]

So, here's where we're at.

I don't care if you did it or not.

Just admit to leaking it. Let this be done.

And you can keep your job.

-You know how you can be sure that I didn't leak it?

Because if I did, I wouldn't have sent it

to fucking ProPublica.

I'd have contacted Jim Siedler at the Post.

Siedler, S-I-E-D-L-E-R.

Had him confirm

with committee chair staff on background,

then instead of running from it,

I would've convinced the Senator to see it

for the winning campaign issue it is

and use it to help her get reelected.

Then, in six month, I'd have your job, sir.

-You're fired.

[scoffs]

[exhales]

[♪♪♪]

-Never seen anybody make him nervous before.

You must be important.

If you're part of the congressional investigation,

you should know

I'm pretty sure he leaked it himself.

-I know.

I wasn't here for him.

Have you thought about what you wanna do next?

[theme music playing]

[♪♪♪]

St. George: The things you can't carry...

[guard speaking Slovak]

[gunshot] -[woman gasps]

-[guard grunts] -[woman screams]

St. George: ...write it all down

then bury it away...

-[indistinct screaming] -[gunfire]

...and try not to dig it back up.

-[gunfire] -[guard grunts]

[gunshots]

[footsteps approaching]

Moira: You have an office, you know.

-I think better in here.

-That's concerning.

What's that?

-That is the lone wolf hacker that we're after.

A non-state actor with ties to Russian Intelligence.

And I think I know

how we use Alexander to draw him out.

dealer: Five thousand to you, sir.

Raise, twenty thousand. Saul: Ooh!

Strong, silent type.

Thinks he's got the cards.

Or-- Or has he been waiting all night

just to bluff now? woman: Mm.

-I like it when new people show up at this game, I do.

I-- I find it to be interesting.

It's an interesting challenge.

You're trying to figure out how to read someone.

dealer: Three of a kind on the board.

-I call.

dealer: Straight flush.

-Ooh... [exhales]

Nice pull.

I'm gettin' a drink. Who wants one?

Drink? No? Drink?

man: Nah, I'm good.

Saul: You guys are so boring, oh, my God.

Moira: So, you've been undercover for two weeks.

Why don't you tell us what you know?

-Our target, Saul, is patient. Careful. Smart.

He buys in with two hundred thousand dollars, loses fifty,

and then walks away with a hundred and fifty

in clean cash.

He's making everyone believe

that he's just a terrible poker player.

-But he's laundering money.

-Exactly. He's dirty.

Interpol liaison with the FBI

and in constant close contact with criminal organizations.

It's perfect for taking bribes.

-What does he want? Just the money?

-I think it's more than that.

He paranoid. Afraid.

He knows his time is running out

and he needs protection.

Too many skeletons in the closet

to walk away clean.

You... already knew all this.

-It's been on our radar

that there was someone compromised

in the International Division at FBI headquarters.

The profile suggested an Interpol liaison.

Now we have confirmation. It's Saul Clemente.

-And you wanted me to see his face.

-Yeah.

You know why?

-You built Claymore on the idea

of a source called Mosaic.

You're telling the enemy that Saul is Mosaic because--

because there is no Mosaic.

You made him up when you were still suspecting me.

But now you're picking a Mosaic the enemy would want.

Someone compromised they'd wanna use.

You're drawing the enemy out.

-We sacrificed real operations

to make our lone wolf comfortable.

Now we set a trap

using Saul Clemente as Mosaic.

-And how do we do that?

-The story we tell the enemy

is that Mosaic has an encrypted magnetic drive

with classified intel on it.

We make it known that the drive

came from this region.

The region we know our lone wolf operates in.

And on the drive is the identity

of whoever placed the mole at The Orphanage.

-He thinks someone close to him has flipped

and is selling him out.

He's exposed.

Parker: Exactly.

We get the drive to Mosaic

through an untraceable third party.

The lone wolf won't know who sent it,

just that Mosaic is the one who has it.

- The drive is the bait.

-Our enemy has to use Mosaic.

He needs to know where the drive is

and who's seen it.

-You get it on camera and we back off

and see who shows up.

Not bad, Parker.

-It's better than "not bad."

-It's brilliant.

-[mouthing] Oh, "brilliant."

Get close to him.

Position yourself as a potential buyer for the drive.

We need him to tell you about the drive on broadcast

so the enemy hears about it.

But don't let him figure out who you are yet.

Marlowe: If he thinks you're Orphanage,

he might assume the worst and run.

It'll take time.

The next step is one-on-one contact.

-I'm already there.

He caught on that somebody else

was staking me financially.

He thinks I'm a ringer.

He invited me to some big game in Baltimore.

I leave tomorrow.

Parker: Keep selling the idea to Alexander

that he's a part of it.

That he's earned his place here.

You're good at that.

Moira: Nice work, Hale.

Instincts of an operative, brains of an analyst.

Where were you in the mid-nineties

when I needed you?

Michelle: Work is good?

Alexander: Yeah, work is good.

I have to go to Baltimore tomorrow.

Michelle: Aw.

You have time to hang out tonight?

Alexander: For you?

Always.

man [over PA]: Next stop, Columbia Heights.

Doors open on your right.

[soft music playing]

Ladies and gentlemen,

we're being held for a signal malfunction.

Service will resume shortly.

[static crackling stops]

[sighs]

[♪♪♪]

[♪♪♪]

[clears throat]

-Uh, we can cut the audio and visual, please.

Ops tech: Cutting all external surveillance.

[keyboard clacking]

-Hi.

Thought you were goin' home?

-Thanks.

[sighs]

[Klovach speaking Slovak]

[woman cries]

-[gunshots] -[woman screams]

[Amin sighs]

-You're still looking at this stuff?

-This is from one of the mercenaries in the ambush.

He knew exactly where to go

because he had one of these. -Yeah,

they had a schematic of the house

because someone on Klovach's side sold him out.

-When you zoom in on the schematic,

you see that "X"? Next to the house?

That's a marking where our Orphanage Asset was.

I know because that's my handwriting.

I drew that "X."

The CIA didn't know about our Asset.

And Klovach's people didn't know either.

[♪♪♪]

The intel the mercenaries had

came from us.

-Cobb, you gotta be real careful

with what you say next.

Call and request the schematic.

The CIA has to turn over anything

we deem valuable to the investigation.

Make sure you're on solid ground.

Remy: I've got Osiris with Mosaic.

-How much money did you bring? -Enough.

-How much you plannin' on losin'?

-[laughs] None. -Ha!

It's gonna be good. It's gonna be a good night.

You want a drink? Alexander: Sure.

-Keep a far perimeter.

We don't want anyone to know you're there, Remy.

Remy: Heh. Never gonna happen.

Alexander: This your place?

Saul: Yes, it is. -It's nice.

It's quite a collection. Saul: You like guns?

-I like knowin' how to use 'em.

Saul: Well said.

Go on. Try one out.

-Yeah? -Yeah.

Oh. Oh, yeah.

Yeah, that one is from the revolutionary war.

-Which side?

-Ha. You know, I never really asked.

Here you go. -Thanks.

-Yeah. Here.

Grab a seat.

[Saul sighs]

I mean, I'm sure it changed hands a few times,

you know?

There's, uh,

always more to the story.

[♪♪♪]

Speaking of,

are you Orphanage?

Remy: Osiris has been made.

You want us to breach?

[tense music playing]

-We'll know momentarily.

-You knew we'd I.D. you eventually.

-Yeah.

And show up right after I obtained something

The Orphanage very much wants.

What, you planned to leverage it from me?

Trying to steal it from me?

[scoffs]

Nah.

You're gonna buy it from me.

-And what, exactly, would we be buying?

-Confirmation that there's a mole

inside your house.

Not only that,

but I have an encrypted drive

that confirms the identity of who placed the mole.

And I have a price in mind.

Ellie: As anticipated,

Mosaic would like a new identity,

relocation to a non-extradition country,

and the sum of two hundred million dollars,

post-tax liability.

Moira: And he's offering?

-Everything.

His entire network of informants,

contacts, balance sheets, and the drive.

He wants out.

-Has he opened the drive?

Alexander: No, the drive is encrypted.

He can't read what's inside.

Moira: Which means it might be nothing.

-It'd be a pretty short con if he was lying.

He knows we'd be able to find him

and get the money back.

He believes the drive is genuine.

-We have to verify what's on the drive

before we take the deal.

Marlowe: The bait is in play,

and the enemy has seen what's needed.

Claymore is still on track. Also,

we found our pill maker.

The pill samples Alexander's ex-fiancée gave him

were provided by a rep from Kevnik Pharmaceuticals.

He died in a car accident a month ago.

They're covering their tracks.

But we traced the pills to a chemist

in a black-market compounding facility.

He's not capable of making the tech,

but he did put the nanites in the pills.

No connection between either of these two

and the ex-fiancée.

I recommend we tell Alexander

there's no evidence of her involvement.

This'll put him at ease

while we finish looking into her background.

And the chemist?

Moira: He's the next link in the chain.

We don't pick him up yet.

Let's see who he talks to first.

-We are, uh--

We're starting to see some small variations

in Alexander's signal.

But if it follows the pattern of the subjects

from the prototype Cassandra tests

that the DOD conducted,

there could be escalations coming.

And once the nanites achieve symbiosis in the brain,

the fatality rate is a hundred percent.

Moira: How long do we have

between the escalations and symbiosis?

-There's a range.

From weeks...

to much shorter than that.

-Then we'd better move faster.

Ellie: Osiris is on the move.

Ops tech: Headed for Baltimore. On schedule.

[gasps]

[Klovach speaking Slovak]

-[gunshot] -[woman screaming]

[sighs]

-I'll be back.

[indistinct chatter]

-Hey, can I get a Port Grimaud?

-What's that?

-I-- I don't know.

The dude at fourteen

said that you would know how to make it.

He's kind of pushy.

-Ask him to order something else.

Something that you can make.

I'm gonna take my break. -Okay.

[suspenseful music playing]

-You got another one of those?

[♪♪♪]

-Michelle.

-Oliver.

-Sorry about the drink back there.

Never heard of it before.

-It's okay, it was my mistake.

I thought you were someone else.

Yeah, her eye color and her hair were a bit different,

but something in the way she stood.

Restless kind of energy.

Seemed like her for a moment, that's all.

She was very special to me.

-Oh, yeah? -Mm-hmm.

We were in love.

At least I thought we were in love.

This was in Port Grimaud.

I told her everything about my life,

about my gallery,

and then one day,

my clients got picked up by the government

and she had... [whistles]

...disappeared.

With quite a bit of my money.

I was sure that she had used me.

You know, I was furious.

I thought about finding her,

I thought about exposing her.

And then I realized that would just make her run again...

and that's not what I want.

I had to find her on her own terms.

I didn't care what she did, who she worked for, or why.

I just wanted to see her again.

I just wanna keep her safe from whoever she's running from.

-She's lucky.

I hope you find her.

-Me, too.

If you need a ride, I'm going downtown.

The Whitmore.

-I don't get off till later.

But thank you.

Best of luck.

-Ah, I fold. woman: Ah.

player: Oh, that was like a lock, baby.

How about that? Yeah?

-Hey.

-Hey.

-A lot on your mind?

-I've been thinking about

that real estate investment you mentioned.

-Okay.

-I think I'd like to see it first.

[Saul chuckles]

-Yeah, that's not really an option.

You buy it, then you see it.

Like either you want it

or you don't.

And if you don't,

I'm sure there are other parties who might.

[♪♪♪]

If you're thinkin' about doin' anything, um,

untoward,

just remember...

I'm the only one in the world

who knows where that property is.

[♪♪♪]

-I'm gonna go cash out. -Okay.

Parker: All right, we've got what we need.

We've shown the enemy that Saul is the only one

who knows where the drive is.

The bait has been set.

Osiris should be coming out.

Now we fall back and wait.

I want all teams on alert.

The lone wolf will come for Saul,

it's just a matter time.

OverWatch up, please.

[elevator dings]

[suspenseful music playing]

Why is he stopping?

Remy, what's going on?

Remy: I've got a sniper setting up across the street.

Not one of ours.

-What?

Remy: I've got a van.

Northwest corner.

-Show me.

Remy: Driver has a weapon inside.

[♪♪♪]

-They're here for Mosaic.

-Is this the lone wolf already?

-The enemy wants to use Mosaic, not kill him.

This looks like a hit squad.

They're not here for the drive.

They're here to take Saul out.

And if they do, we lose our bait.

Alexander just has to get clear.

We can't risk him getting killed.

[♪♪♪]

Oh, fuck me.

Get Director Moira, now!

Remy, take out the sniper and then fall back.

Remy: Copy that.

-We have to play it like

Alexander's any other operative.

We wouldn't be watching him.

We can't get there that soon. It would be suspicious.

What do we do?

[tense music playing]

[elevator dings]

[gun cocks]

[suspenseful music playing]

[pants]

[alarm blaring]

[knocking at door]

Saul: Yeah, yeah, I'm comin'.

-Are you believin' this?

[crowd gasps]

Come on.

hit man: Move!

[woman screams]

[indistinct murmuring]

-Get in.

hit man: Move!

-Get down! [grunts]

-[gun firing] -[crowd gasps]

[indistinct screaming]

[suspenseful music playing]

-[elevator dings] -[alarm continues blaring]

-There they are. Eighth floor!

Signals tech: Up on surveillance.

Hostile on stairs moving towards Osiris.

-Show me the stairwell.

Punch in.

Signals tech: Enemy heading toward the eighth floor.

-Call his phone.

Now!

And where is Director Moira?

[cell phone buzzes]

Stop. Go back. They're around the corner ahead of you.

[pants]

-Who is this?

-Orphanage, go back!

-I need a passcode.

-Oh, my God!

Every morning, I look into obsidian eyes.

We have OverWatch in the area. Listen to me.

There's a utility room behind you.

Move your ass!

-Okay. What now?

[panting]

Where're we going?

-Bottom of the stairs, out the door,

then left outside the building.

There's a safe location two miles south.

The extraction team will meet you there.

-Two miles? -Well, I guess

you could just keep hanging out in the stairwell

and hoping they don't find you.

-Two miles it is. How many hostiles?

-Uh, three on foot.

One in the van on the other side

of the building about two hundred-- Stop!

-[siren wailing] -[grunts]

Just wait. There's more coming.

-[Saul sighs] Somebody burned me.

They blew my cover to these psychopaths!

-Quiet!

-What? -Not you.

-Oh. Sorry.

-Come on. We're going to a safehouse.

-[scoffs] Not a chance.

-We didn't burn you, Saul.

We need you alive.

[sirens wailing]

Parker: Okay, it's clear. Go now.

-Headed south.

[engine starts]

-Van is starting to move.

-Where now?

Parker: Um...

[tires screeching]

Uh, uh, okay, go--

What-- What is-- Is that a ramp?

Yeah, take the ramp.

[whispers] I'm sorry.

-Hostiles.

Parker: Uh, okay. Uh, go... to the left

and then take-- -No, no. Go to the right.

-Ambulance.

-Actually, how do you feel about stealing an ambulance?

Remy: Enemy closing in on Osiris.

-[siren wailing] -[brakes squealing]

Hostiles evaded.

Alexander: Okay, we're here.

Parker: I need that entry key!

Okay, eleven-Alpha-Romeo-four.

-[beeps] -[door clicks]

-We're in. Where are the guns?

Parker: To the left. The thermostat.

Turn it to seventy-seven-point-five.

There should be a sniper rifle inside.

[beeps]

[whirring]

It's not a DRD Paratus,

but it's something you can work with.

-How do you know what kind of gun I use?

-I'm paid to know everything.

You okay? -Yeah.

You? -Yeah.

[sighs] I think I yelled at my coworkers

more than normal today.

Extraction team should be there in thirty minutes.

So just... hang tight. -Copy that.

-I'm glad you saved his life.

-I'm glad you saved mine. -So far.

-Yeah, well, when this is over,

I owe you a drink.

Whoever you are.

-This'll all be a blur later.

No offense, but you won't remember me.

-I got a pretty good memory.

-Prove it.

[line disconnects]

-Hey, Saul.

Extraction team's coming in thirty.

Let's hang tight.

-[feedback buzzing] -[groaning]

-Hey.

-[groans] -Hey.

Hey, hey, what's wrong?

-Nothing.

It's just a migraine.

[sighs]

[indistinct chatter]

[♪♪♪]

-Hey, Letty?

It's dead up here

and I forgot to restock the cellar.

Should take me about an hour. Cover for me?

Letty: Sure. -Thanks.

Saul: Pretty convenient. [sighs]

You bein' there to save my life at the right time.

-You think I'm one of them?

-Or they're with you.

[sighs] I wouldn't put it past The Orphanage.

Maybe they set this whole thing up.

-Why would they shoot at me if they were Orphanage?

-Why not?

Because you're so valuable to them?

Yeah, just wait.

It'll change.

[Saul grunts]

-Saul, this wasn't us, okay?

Look, you've spent enough time with me to learn my tells.

Am I lying?

-No.

You're not lyin'.

You believe it.

But maybe they need you to believe it

so you can't mess up.

We run informants like that.

Get them to really believe.

They are a thousand times more effective.

Sacrifice their entire lives

because they're doin' the right thing.

But they never have the whole story.

But I'm sure you're different.

[chuckles]

I'm sure they tell you everything.

Look, I appreciate the help back there.

You saved my ass.

But I can do it on my own from here.

[banging on door]

[pounding]

[suspenseful music playing]

Hey! What the fuck, man?

-It's a tracker.

Someone from the poker game was paid

to slip this in your pocket.

[drill whirring]

[cell phone buzzing]

Moira: Do you know who this is? -Yes, sir.

-Time to move.

There is a tunnel exit

behind the gun rack.

We'll open it.

-Come on!

Go. -And, Hale,

we can't let Mosaic fall into any other hands.

If he runs or gets caught,

eliminate him.

[drill whirring]

I need verbal confirmation.

-Understood.

[♪♪♪]

-Hey.

-What're you doin'? -I have a plane.

I keep it fueled and ready.

I can get to the airstrip.

Unless, you know,

I'm actually your captive.

-Thing is, Saul,

we really need that drive.

-So, you'd try and stop me if I run?

[rifle cocks]

-Let's not find out.

-Lead the way.

-After you.

You're not the only one that's good at reading people.

[chuckles]

-[sighs] Apologies.

Shorthanded today. -No problem.

[♪♪♪]

What happened to the item in this sleeve?

Number five-five-four-six-nine.

-See the DIT?

That means "Damaged In Transit."

Didn't make it here from the CIA intact.

-How? It was in a protective sleeve.

-[chuckles] I don't know.

-The protocol is to log condition assessments.

Who made that call?

-Uh...

-Five-five-four-six-nine.

-"Condition assessment, damaged."

Designation made yesterday by...

Huh.

It's blank.

It doesn't say who pulled it. Sorry.

-Yesterday?

I thought you said it didn't make it here.

-Did I? I must've misspoken.

[water running]

[knocking at door]

-Just leave it.

[door opens]

Monique?

[door closes]

[footsteps approaching]

[Oliver speaking French]

[speaking French]

-[in English] Yeah, they told me

that you were American.

That was a big surprise.

They gave me a couple of old addresses

and then from there it was

private investigators,

data firms running facial recognition software,

and none of that worked.

It was just blind luck.

I came to town for a gallery opening and I just

caught a glimpse of you there.

On a date with some fella.

Hope it's nothing serious.

[speaking French]

-Hmm.

I ate at every bar and restaurant in town

hoping to see you on another date.

Certainly didn't expect to find you working in one.

[speaking French]

-Uh...

you mean,

like any of those people you might not wanna see again?

I didn't tell anyone.

You're safe with me.

I'm not here to sell your secrets.

I'm not here to get revenge.

I just wanna know you.

I just wanna know the real you

underneath all of these personas.

I want the chance to meet the woman

that you were before you started running.

Till I find her...

[speaking French]

[♪♪♪]

-I know.

[grunts]

[muffled grunts]

[muffled screaming]

[sighs]

-Down the alleyway, then make a right.

-[feedback buzzing] -[groans]

[groaning]

[grunts]

[groans]

Don't do this, Saul.

-I like you, Alexander.

Whatever leverage you got on them,

don't lose it.

[both grunting]

-Saul!

Don't!

[groans]

[pants]

[gunfire]

[♪♪♪]

-Osiris is safe.

[sighs]

-Well done. Well done. Ellie: Ah!

-Thank you. Hey, good work. Good work.

[sighs]

[♪♪♪]

[♪♪♪]

[camera shutter clicks]

[indistinct police radio chatter]

-You'll be receiving a formal requisition order shortly,

but for now, I need to see any electronics

or data storage you've bagged.

-No need.

We don't have any.

No computers, no hard drives, no extra phones.

He must've kept it all somewhere else.

-Let's check again, shall we?

-It was nice to talk to you.

[sighs]

-We think the hit squad

was a Mediterranean terror group that Saul double-crossed.

Doesn't appear connected to who we're chasing.

Bad timing, I suppose.

-I'm sorry I couldn't keep him alive.

-Claymore is still intact.

Our lone wolf knows the drive is out there,

and they're focused on that now, above all else.

Which means we still have an end game.

Alexander: That hit squad showing up,

that... wasn't random.

We were the ones that blew his cover,

weren't we?

[♪♪♪]

-Yes.

We leaked it to a group

who promised they would take their time.

They lied.

But everything would've turned out fine

if you hadn't tried to save his life.

-You always intended for him to die.

-Yeah.

Know why?

[sighs]

-You needed to create a dead end.

Now the enemy has no more leads,

no one to question,

nowhere left to focus except on finding the drive.

Moira: And that puts us in control.

Remember what happens if we lose.

No one person gets to be more important

than the mission.

-I've been having these moments

where my vision goes out.

It's like... feedback in my brain.

If the migraines are from what's in my head,

it could be connected.

-We'll have Frances look into it.

-Did...

anything like that happen

to the other Cassandra test subjects?

[♪♪♪]

-No.

[sighs]

Parker: I know we're manipulating him.

And obviously I'm a part of that.

And I know that The Orphanage doesn't even tell me everything,

because they don't think that I need to know.

And my first thought when I heard

how we'd set up Saul was...

it-- it's reprehensible.

How you could just use another person

and discard them for a mission.

I mean, how does that make us any better

than the people that we're fighting against?

But you wanna hear the second thought

that went through my head?

I was jealous I didn't think of it first.

All my life, all these things that've just been

constant problems, and now, for once,

I'm a perfect fit.

My job is to protect our country and save lives

by manipulating people and sometimes

getting them killed for the sake of a mission.

And I'm really good at it.

What does that say about me?

-That the picture you had of yourself was incomplete.

You know more now.

And if the old picture keeps getting in the way,

destroy it.

But not before you figure out

whether you like this new version of yourself.

-I don't even know who she is yet.

[♪♪♪]

[gunshot]

But I can't look away.

[Klovach speaking Slovak]

-[gunshot] -[woman screams]

Alexander: You know, I think I realized something.

I mean, this whole time,

I've been trying to prove to the people there

that they could rely on me for field work.

And I have.

But I'm not sure that's what I should've wanted.

When you don't have the whole picture, how--

how do you know that you're doing the right thing?

Sorry. I-- I didn't mean to-- -No, no, no, no, it's--

It's good to hear you talk.

Helps me not worry about you.

[chuckles]

Would you like to hear something

entirely counter-intuitive?

As are most aspects of this

ridiculous little world of shadows

that we play in.

[sighs]

Be grateful for all the things you don't know.

Ambiguity? It's a wonderful sleep aid.

Because once you know,

there's no going back.

-Senator, can I have a moment?

-You used to work for me. -Yes, ma'am.

You're on the committee for national security,

aren't you?

-Good to see you again, too.

-Ma'am, I need to speak with the Director of the CIA

as soon as possible. -Sure thing.

We'll get right on scheduling that for you.

-It's about Slovakia.

I know who betrayed their mission.

Michelle: One hundred percent. [laughs] What--

What do you mean? Alexander: I was just asking.

-Make yourself at home. I'm gonna pour us some drinks.

-Okay.

You were a cute kid.

-[laughs] Oh, thanks.

[♪♪♪]

[suspenseful music playing]

-Hi. [sighs] Alexander.

-Natalie.

Thanks for not leaving me behind.

Every single one decided

to leave the kid behind except for you.

It was a nice change of pace

to have someone do the right thing.

Well, you're easy to pretend to fall for.

I'm not supposed to give you my real name, so.

It's between us.

[glass clinks]

Here you go.

Cheers.

[glasses clink]

[♪♪♪]

[instrumental music playing]
