It's incredible to think how many things are going on in your body when you're
standing completely still.
Blood flow, breathing, thoughts racing at incredible speeds, cell regeneration,
chemicals clashing and reacting, a constant flow of electricity, organ
functionality, endorphin release, so on and so forth. A fully functioning
machine in a constant state of motion, even though the host on the outside
completely static.
It's like the world revolving around the sun at 18 and a half miles per second.
It's going incredibly fast, but the vastness of space makes us feel like
hardly moving at all.
I never really thought about those things until I met him.
He tells me that every time we do so much as reach for an object, that we are
experiencing tiny miracles, so nothing we do should be taken lightly.
But he also reminds me that we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously either.
He teaches me so much, so much about the mind and the body.
He's taken me to new heights that I never could have achieved on my own.
My family doesn't understand why I chose to be with him.
No matter how many times I try to explain it, they say I'm making
a mistake by dating someone so much older and dropping out of college to be
my professor.
But he says that all great discoveries happen mistakenly.
He says, if this is a mistake, then we'll learn a valuable lesson from it.
When we're ready, until then, let's just enjoy it.
And that's what I do. I enjoy the hell out of it.
So glad.
Oh.
