Original subtitles

New York.

The city that never sleeps.

Like in the game of chess.

It's a way of life.

And I'm here to win.

Hey, Miss Jones.

Hi.

How are you?

I'm fine.

How are you?

Keep going.

Can I tell you something, doctor?

The only moment I'm happy in my life...

is when I see the fear of death in the eyes of those who see me.

Have you ever experienced that happiness?

That's enough, Mr. David.

I understand your problem now.

I can't get you out of this.

No one can.

Trust me.

But I can give you medicines.

I can make you sleep without moving.

Or I can help you manage this.

I need honesty in my work.

I'm the same.

If I take up a job, I'll make sure it doesn't go wrong.

I'll never go wrong.

I'll show you something.

Those who are happy in life...

are more likely to die than those who are happy in life.

They will never smile again.

There is no forgiveness for that crime.

Reverse psychology.

With a certified expert.

You are a fool.

Are you a cop?

There is no chance for that.

This is a case that the court has left.

Forget it.

Anyways, we are done here.

Please leave.

Try this once.

One click.

Next second, the security will come in.

You can't get me out of this, mister.

I play by the law.

What?

What are you doing?

Hey, hey!

Open the door!

Open the door!

You!

No, stop!

Listen!

Open the damn door!

Yeah, nice and slow.

Hey, sit down!

You got this, babe?

I got this.

Alright.

Get out of there!

Get out of there, motherfucker!

Leave me!

Leave!

Leave me!

Please!

I've got money, I can give you!

Please!

Let's go, let's go.

You!

Bring some back, scumbag!

How can you ruin a young girl's life like this?

You!

You!

You!

You!

Next thing I knew, I was wearing it.

What's up, boss?

Hey, coach!

Coach!

Can I get in on this one?

It's alright.

You think so?

Thanks.

Dad...

Thank you, coach.

Hmph!

Why did you do this to him?

It's not that, dad.

Can't you hit him on the face properly?

Useless.

Get out.

I told you.

Buzz off, man!

So I just want to say a big thank you to all of you who've come here,

and for believing in me, that I will be your best next Attorney General.

So like I said, a mountain is not higher than our confidence.

But we will get to it, and it will be under our feet.

And having said that, I'd like to turn the

podium back over to our beloved Governor, Frank.

Thank you so much for your support.

Thank you.

Thank you, Anjali.

Words aren't enough to express my gratitude for all the work that Anjali's done...

The Governor endorsing me.

How did he agree to this?

But, thank you.

Thank you so much.

This isn't it, ma'am.

Surprise.

What do you mean?

He'll tell you, ma'am.

Well,

let's have you say a few words, Philip.

We always love to hear you talk.

Should I?

I haven't quite prepared a speech yet.

Everyone who has come here has only one need.

Power.

Power to change the world.

Power.

But there's a problem with that.

If it's not in the hands of the people who need it, it will shake the system.

And if the system shakes, things will fall like a house of cards.

The first time I heard Anjali's name, I felt a chill down my spine.

It gives me goosebumps to learn about her vision.

As the chairman of the American Medical Collective, it's my

pleasure and honor to endorse this wonderful woman, Anjali.

A big round of applause for the one and only, Anjali.

Anjali.

Anjali,

a small token of my appreciation, please.

Thanks, but no thanks.

That's okay.

Hello, ma'am.

I'm Ani, Vice President, R&D.

It's a pleasure to meet you.

No, look.

This isn't good enough.

We have an active court case, and I'm on the defense.

Everything we discuss here is submissible in court.

So, soliciting me is not a smart idea.

Sure.

Let's document it.

Let me put it simply.

During clinical trials, one person died because of my doctor's mistake.

One person?

Maybe more than one.

This isn't the first time this has happened in the world.

Right?

People die in such eventualities.

If one person dies because of this drug, we save about... 62,700.

62,700 patients.

Don't you see that?

See, Anjali.

On that basis, we are waiting for the government approval.

At this time, a legal battle like this, the media will destroy us.

See, we'll settle it out of court.

You said it yourself.

This won't happen.

Don't tell me.

Tell the court.

The law must take its course.

The court won't punish me for this.

I'll have to compensate for the loss.

Come on, Anjali.

I'll take care of the family.

And I'll take care of you, if you know what I mean.

How dare you?

Philip, please stop.

Anjali, I mean, ma'am, your terms.

Whatever it is, it's okay.

Oh.

Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt.

Philip, your drink.

Thanks.

Seriously, I'm not going to introduce me?

Yeah, my wife, Jessie.

Hi, you're very pretty.

What?

You're amazing.

Mom, they're calling you.

Coming.

The dead cannot cry out for justice.

I'm the one who came to East High by committing many crimes.

So, let's settle this amicably.

Amicably.

If you're so proud of coming to East High by committing many

crimes, I'm so proud of coming to East High by studying hard.

So, see you in court.

Yeah, let's see.

Come on, let's go.

I've never been more pleased to see the CEO of

the pharma giant himself agreed to speak with us.

I'm Nancy Cordes, here at the New York Stock Exchange, and

I'm here with the CEO of Anfil himself, Mr. Philip Corian.

Mr. Corian, you've been riding on success, but with controversies

following you every step of the way, care to comment?

Look, Nance, the cosmos has designed everything in pairs.

Good, bad.

Legal, illegal.

Moral, immoral.

Now I know there is a lot of noise surrounding my company, but

put that aside for a moment and look at the bigger picture.

Our drugs help thousands of people lead a

quality life, and that's my side of the story.

Agreed, agreed.

But at what cost?

Are you advocating that pharmaceutical companies do human trials as they please?

Do you want me to take this?

No, I got this.

Got this.

I never told you that, unless you're fishing for a catchy headline.

But I'll tell you this much.

It's all for the greater good.

You have a good day.

Thank you.

So, that's what we're up against.

See, I contacted you.

I decided to take this case.

Not just for fun, Alex.

What happened to your daughter, in the name

of clinical trial, is not a personal matter.

But she's dead.

She's dead.

The disease can be a daily struggle.

But there is hope.

Introducing Chakra.

The breakthrough drug that can help cure a rare

autoimmune condition, considered incurable.

Until now.

That's it.

Now we are all set.

Papa!

Consent form is right here for you to sign.

It's all gonna work out fine, right?

There are always risks associated with these clinical trials.

Not with ours.

Our drug has been shown to be effective for more than 100 patients.

It works.

Right, Dr. Malik?

It's all gonna work out, Alex.

Is it an ocean?

Is it a wave?

Tiny, tiny steps...

Alex, I told you.

There are consequences associated with these trials.

Dr. Malik, I understand what you are saying.

But, why is the report all red?

You promised.

I did.

Your counselor will be in touch with you.

Dr. Malik, we are getting late.

Let's meet again when you are free.

Sarah deserves justice.

These big pharma companies have done this before.

I don't know what to do.

Where should I start?

Who should I share my pain with?

Don't worry about anything.

I am here for you.

Our fight starts with a simple stroke of a pen.

Be ready.

They are going to try every dirty trick in the book.

Let's do this.

Let's do this for Sarah.

I will be there for you.

Till the very end.

Isn't that him?

Who?

Come, sir.

Did you hear?

He is here.

Let's go.

Okay.

Bro, do you remember me?

The boy contact you gave me was very helpful.

Do you want to see that photo?

Hey!

Come.

Just a minute.

I am coming.

Bro, just a minute.

Okay, let's see.

Bro!

Hi, advisor.

How are you?

Bhuvan.

Bhuvan.

That's neat.

Yes, sir.

Is he always here?

Sir!

What do you want me to say?

Okay, sir.

I will do the full bottle logging.

Is there a problem with your friend?

There is a problem.

You are the problem.

It's you.

He is the one who got you into this.

What will you do if he is ruined?

What did I do in between, sir?

Hey, get lost.

Sir!

Hey, will you answer my call?

I didn't answer because I knew you would advice me.

What kind of a song is that?

If you listen to such songs, even if you are calm, you will lose your mind.

Why did you sit?

Hey, look at me.

I said look at me.

I will do as I said.

Give me 10 days.

I will plan and kill her.

I don't know what to say, sir.

God sent me to you.

My daughter didn't say a word after that, sir.

Don't worry, sir.

This problem will be solved.

Sir, you are God.

This is all I have, sir.

Please take it.

No.

Take this.

Look, sir.

I need to talk to you.

Get up.

Give me

all the money you have.

I will do as you say.

Dad!

I told you so many times not to insult me.

I didn't mean to insult you.

You are doing it.

Dad, please stop.

Are you fighting like always?

You are a good father and daughter.

Look, sir.

There is nothing you don't know.

I am doing this business by cutting many people's hands, legs, heads and necks.

What will happen to my life if I keep doing this?

Enough.

You are always the same, Soda.

What will you do with the money from Michael?

What else can you do?

Useless.

I didn't mean to hurt you.

Look at this.

This is called a gun.

There are no bullets in it.

If I don't feed the animals out there, they will eat me.

Okay, leave it.

What are you going to do tomorrow?

Tomorrow is all set.

I have a plan.

You are alone.

Take him with you.

Who?

Strokner?

Why would I need him?

This is my assignment.

We have already discussed this.

Let him go alone.

No, he shouldn't go alone.

Let him do as you say.

That's why I am telling you.

You can't do this assignment alone.

It's like a demon.

A cruel, merciless demon.

3...

2...

1... Now.

Ma'am?

Let the games begin.

Ms. Manning, why are you against a woman's freedom to choose?

Tell me this.

What is freedom?

Freedom of choice is a gift of the rule of law.

Mankind's greatest achievement, offering free birth control

pills to university students, is not a freedom to choose.

In fact, it's a move on the part of a billion dollar pharma company...

to promote their brand to our kids and sell more drugs.

That's not freedom to choose.

See, motherhood is a lens through which a woman can explore her identity.

And I believe that's the most sacred thing from God.

So then why do we allow big pharma companies to normalize this?

This needs to stop.

Thank you.

Thank you for coming.

Anjali, you said it was a public meeting.

Not now.

Anjali, I... I said not now.

Martin, please.

Ma'am, please step aside.

Oh my God, it's so nice to meet you.

Thank you.

Thank you so much.

Your hard work is going to pay off.

Thank you.

You have my full support.

Yep.

Anjali... Anjali, I didn't mean to... Whatever.

You're simply wasting your time and mine.

Hey, can I get you something to drink?

No.

She's just about to leave.

I'm sorry.

I didn't mean to... It's okay.

Sorry to waste your time.

Jessie...

Maybe I overreacted.

Come here.

Tell me what's the matter?

Anjali, I've never seen a girl talk so boldly in front of Philip.

But I think you did pretty good for yourself too.

That's why I treated you so well.

Listen to me.

Please stop, for God's sake.

Please stop.

I've just been stuck in this marriage for so long.

He's... He's so powerful, Anjali.

He's got the whole world under his control.

Listen to me.

It's a little old-fashioned for a husband to

hit his wife and for his wife to tolerate it.

You look like a young, independent woman to me.

I mean, don't get me wrong.

I'm sorry this is happening to you.

Anjali, I don't need your sympathy.

I need legal counsel.

But I can't take this case.

Then why all this lecturing?

Don't be so naive.

It doesn't work like that.

Hmm?

These are... patient intake forms, right?

Do you have the trial details?

I don't know what that is.

But I know it's related to your case.

Otherwise, why would Philip hide this?

Philip will be traveling this week.

Tell him you'll help me.

Tell him you'll help me.

Let this be between us.

Narcissus, who loved every part of his body.

This is Philip's favorite painting.

No wonder.

He's the same kind, right?

Hmm?

Are these the documents you mentioned?

Can I have a look?

Patience.

I thought our marriage was...

the kind that was special, you know?

The maiden heaven types.

He was different and he actually used to care.

He used to support me.

Not just me.

Everybody around him.

Hmm?

That changed a long time ago.

Look, dear.

You're showing so much courage now.

We can go against him and do anything.

But your divorce.

I'll give you half of his property.

So true.

Women have problems everywhere.

Take my case for example.

Trafficking.

Workplace violence.

Even the prejudice against...

lesbians.

But again... Everybody says they'll support me.

That they'll be by my side.

Now you're here to save me.

You're here for the evidence, right?

That's right.

You don't want to rub me the wrong way, right?

I'm not here for female empowerment discourse.

If you want to know my views on the subject, you should read one of my books.

But right now, I need to see those files.

Are you going to give them to me?

Or no?

What is this?

Do you know who you are up against, bloody... Hmm.

Don't shout.

There are people up there.

Who?

Phillip?

No.

Someone you know.

I'm going to dedicate my entire life...

money... and resources... to finish you.

You can't do anything.

I don't just sell drugs.

I don't just sell drugs.

I mix fear with them.

The fear of getting sick.

The fear of getting sick.

The fear of dying.

So, in a sense...

I hijack fear... and get paid for it.

What a beautiful irony.

To be a lesbian is no crime.

The glory of this country...

is for everyone here...

to decide their own lives...

and give them complete freedom.

That's why... this is the greatest country in the world.

Money... and resources... to finish you.

You just wait... and watch.

Mom?

What are you doing here?

Kali?

What are you doing here?

What are you saying?

A trap?

It's okay.

I'll fix this.

How will you fix this?

Wanna be Attorney General?

Will you own up your lesbian order in front of the world?

This is possible for Anjali in America.

But this is difficult for a girl from Pallaturi...

If your family finds out that... she is the last girl in your family...

and you don't have kids... your entire family will be crushed.

Stop it!

Mom... Let's go.

No, Mom.

You tell her right here, right now... that you accept me fully for me.

And Mom, I promise you... I will support you, Mom.

I will be there for you.

Best.

New York State Attorney General candidate...

accepts a lesbian daughter and loses a race.

New York Post's catchy headline.

Baby, you know I love you.

She offered me money.

I had to.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Go away from her.

You don't even love her.

You don't even accept her for who she is.

You took away the love of your daughter... and slapped her on the face.

Attorney General... This is enough for you to count your chickens.

If the world finds out... that a rainbow attorney general...

is a man of old customs and values... you will not only lose... you will vanish...

into oblivion.

You are more afraid of death... than you are afraid of losing.

What do you say, Anjali?

So, in short... what you have to do now... with me... and my company... is integrity.

You are responsible for that.

If you try to oppose me... that's a different story.

Of course... the lesbian angle was planted.

You... back off.

I didn't sign up for this shit.

Forget it.

I'm leaving.

But this is... a bonus you gave me.

Jessie... my lady luck.

You had your fun.

You will see.

Looking forward.

Give me ten days.

I'll plan it and kill her.

Shit.

Here comes trouble.

Yo!

Got your birdie all tied up in a cage.

Where is she?

Gotta pay up first.

Look, we are here to meet by.

Yeah, and I'll take you to him.

But you gotta pay up first.

I don't have time for this man.

Hey, don't do this.

Please don't do this.

Stroke, what you doing man?

Stop.

Coach is gonna fuck you up.

Shut up.

Oh wow, look at that.

Even weaker than she was.

Hey, why are you standing here?

Where is the guy who came with you?

Stroke, take your hands off him.

It'll be our little secret.

You come here.

Go inside.

Hey, where are you going?

Don't go there.

They are bad people.

Come, come.

Wait a minute.

Don't come there and cause any trouble.

Why are you two whispering there?

Hurry up, the guy is waiting there.

You guys are making me feel shy.

I lived alone in the dark with fear.

Those were the darkest days of my life.

One day, you came into my life.

I still remember that beautiful day when I saw you like a ray of sunshine.

The moment I saw you, I felt like an angel came down from heaven to earth.

The stars have decided our destiny, Maya.

You gave me hope.

You held my hand and made me live again.

You made me understand what's in my heart.

Every word you speak is like a beautiful poem in me.

I just need these moments till I die.

I was so attached to you that I couldn't leave you.

But I liked it.

I didn't love you to forget Sandra, Maya.

You became my Sandra, knowing that no one can replace you.

The reason for that is your eyes.

You are the one who gave me the lost memories of loving me without these tears.

Maya, if this continues like this, it will be a problem.

That's what I want.

I felt like an angel.

After hearing your love, I saw a magic in it.

In every way, I lost you, Maya.

When I look into your eyes, I see my future.

I can't lose you for anyone or anything like I lost Sandra.

Take it, Maya.

You are everything to me now.

Only you.

How far will you go?

Why don't you shoot from here?

Based on what you said so far, it sounds like a cute little love story to me.

What's the problem with that now?

Nothing so far.

He proposed and she said okay.

The problem started that night.

I have no one but you to tell me where I am.

That's why, as your witness, I want to marry Maya.

I love you.

Maya, we need a headcount for the wedding plan.

Did you talk to your parents?

It's good to talk to them before we have a problem.

There's still time for that, Vinay.

Hey, we have only two months.

It will be over in a jiffy.

Hey, marriage is a big step.

We should have talked about this.

Maya, look at me.

What happened to you?

I told you, right?

I don't like crowds.

And you put me in a spot.

If you look at it that way, it's his fault.

After his wife died, this entered his life.

There's a mystery in every moment of it.

No matter what you say, he's like a stone.

What happened to your wife?

She was so young.

Cancer.

Workplace negligence.

She was exposed to some chemicals in the company she worked for.

Suddenly, she died within two weeks.

She was a fighter even when she was sick.

She was determined.

No one else should face what she did.

I kept the documents I collected from the lawsuit here safely.

Signed and sealed by Sandra.

It's all over now, right?

Let's leave all those cases and live happily.

Please, Vinay.

You and I know what it is.

She's gone.

Let's move on.

Maya, but why?

Move on.

I'll do anything for her.

Vinay, I asked you to send Sandra's case files to the office.

What happened?

Send it by tomorrow.

I'll collect it tomorrow.

Rape?

It won't work, right?

We have some plans.

Where?

In the safe upstairs?

If I have this, I'll definitely lose it.

I have to keep it somewhere safe.

She's gone.

He proposed to her.

She left him.

She broke his heart.

Wait, wait.

Did he propose to her without knowing anything about her?

What happened next?

You can't find her in such a big city.

But we tried.

Did you inform the police?

Sir, it's only been a few hours.

Perhaps she's at a friend's house.

I mean, you said your phone's not working.

Maybe she's been trying to call you.

These things happen.

There's no photo of her.

How will the police find her?

Don't kill me with questions.

If you can do something with your influence, do it.

I'm talking about you.

If you want to say something, say it now.

Don't ever cry as if someone is dead.

Hey, hey.

I brought her because Chali shouldn't die.

Why are you drinking with her?

You tell me.

Look over there.

Damn it.

You did this on purpose, didn't you?

I told you not to bring him here.

Why are you doing this?

Bro, I'm sorry.

What sorry?

He missed the chance he got after hiking for three hours.

Don't irritate me.

Give it to me.

I'll give you the contacts to kidnap her.

But Maya, she's not a petty thief.

She's a sophisticated con artist.

So please, stop playing the victim.

To complete this task, you need to be a hunter.

Not a prey.

So good luck with your hunt.

You will need it.

I know.

Superb.

Yes, sir.

Is the work done?

Yes, yes.

Yes, sir.

Everything is okay.

Everything is okay.

My sir.

Yes, what's done is done.

Check everything.

There's only this much money.

Adjust it.

Sir, Chali is tired.

We have to take care of them too.

Here, keep this too.

I told you, no games.

I told you, no games.

Forget her.

Shut up.

Shut up.

Bro, for a girl like you...

For a girl like you... Bro, for a girl like you...

Can you find a girl like that?

Where are you going?

You want a girl, right?

I'll show you 90 girls.

If you say another word, I'll kill you right here.

Hey, Vinay.

What?

You want to hit me?

Hit me.

If you keep doing this, no one will be left.

I don't want anyone.

Not even you.

Are you happy now?

I'm so exhausted.

Why is this so heavy?

Open it and see.

It's an advance for the next work.

What's the job?

He has to fit in all these things.

He looks easy.

As you said, he looks very easy.

I want to make you mine.

I want to make you mine.

I want to make everyone mine.

I want to make everyone mine.

Bro said that only you can find her.

Because the police couldn't do anything.

She is a big talker.

You have to help her.

We'll see about that.

Give me the photo address.

I don't have the photo address.

I don't have the photo address.

Then is she a ghost?

Are you mad?

Go away.

Hey, go and meet the boy.

He is right.

Bro, say something.

How many times do I have to ask you?

Hey, go away.

Enough.

We'll finish her in 10 days.

She is cheating on me.

Bro, look at this.

This is Philip's wife.

We need more money.

Finish the job quickly.

I'll pay you more.

Let me do this.

I'll come, bro.

I'll bring him too.

I'll be back soon.

Vinay.

We have to go to a place immediately.

You be ready.

What the hell?

You bombed into me.

You were not paying attention.

And I am at fault.

Really?

Are you a Telugu?

Yes, so?

Our people are used to this.

What?

If you are trying to impress me, just buy me a drink.

I don't want to buy you anything.

But since you are a Telugu girl and you are so good, I'll buy you a drink.

I'll take my usual.

You got it.

Good meeting you and cheers to the little surprises.

600 dollars?

For that drink?

That's what the lady ordered.

I got to work harder, man.

I guess you do.

Keep the change.

Thanks, Ed.

Thank you.

Is it madam's job to drink with someone else's money?

That's funny, right?

I understand people's psyche.

I'll drink by cheating anyone in this bar.

Tell me about everyone here.

Look at the guy sitting next to me.

He's got a heart of stone.

I know his first girlfriend's name.

I'll make him cry for 5 minutes.

And he'll be swiping his card.

I'll be my little cuckoo.

Look at the guy behind me.

Totally self-obsessed.

I'll listen to him for 20 minutes.

Either agree or disagree.

Who are they?

Your friends?

Should I show you a guy?

Yes.

Look at the guy behind me.

There he is.

He looks like a Telugu guy.

What's there to doubt?

Do me a favor.

Will you be my friend?

No problem.

You go.

I'm free right now.

Just wait and watch.

I'll be watching.

Wait.

I know you.

Do you know me?

Ed, you know what I like.

I'll take the whole bottle.

The whole bottle?

You want the whole bottle, sir?

Why not?

Whole bottle for the couple.

Hey, Sophie.

You've seen my business card and identified me.

And you're talking in front of so many people.

You're very smart, I say.

The sky, the earth, or the sea.

I'll get it done anywhere.

Where?

Marriage.

I mean, MJ Wedding Planners.

Next, space.

I'm planning to do it in space.

We don't need anything in space.

Earth is enough.

Actually, what we want is...

for everyone in the city to get married with a smile on their face.

Absolutely.

That's not enough.

Excuse me, sir.

Here's your drink.

Thank you.

Have a good time.

I told you, right?

Take a look at this.

You have to see this.

Oh my God!

Mohanlal!

Shahrukh Khan!

He'll be here soon.

That's enough.

MJ Wedding Planners.

What's that?

MJ?

John Mathai.

MJ.

People call him Michael Jackson.

It's a business strategy.

Like this business card.

This reminds me of someone.

Is this really your photo?

Of course.

Didn't you recognize me?

Impressive.

Press this.

It's all digital.

Ed, bring the check.

Sign it.

Thank you very much.

Business card.

I have it.

I'll call you.

Let's take a selfie.

Sir, you took a photo with a big shot.

We don't want that.

There you go, sir.

No, no, no.

You're my client.

I got it.

It's okay.

Don't push it.

Okay, sir.

Thank you.

Lovely meeting you.

Thank you very much.

Nice couple.

Six thousand dollars?

Hello?

Hello?

Hello?

Excuse me.

Hello?

Come.

Hurry up.

He's right behind you.

What's the hurry?

No one is coming.

No one needs to be afraid.

What do you mean?

Don't you get it?

What did you say?

I'm the one who hired you to dump me.

I like women hitting on me.

But not in a parking lot.

Keep dreaming.

That was a good one.

Look here.

When I write your payment check, I'll remember this whack.

And I will keep dreaming.

Jessie, is this a good thing?

Will we win the lottery?

Yes, we will.

Don't you dare do this again.

Jessie.

Don't get angry.

Tell me what happened.

You don't know what happened.

If you do this again, that's it.

What do you think of me?

Do you know how risky it is?

Why should I be angry?

Money, money, money.

Audition, right?

Yes.

Can't you do it?

You should have told me, Charlie.

Try to understand.

I think she can.

Jessie, think about it.

This will solve all our problems.

Do you know who he is?

Good choice.

I know.

Let's go.

So, that's your assignment.

You are too high profile.

Why are you doing this?

That's none of your business.

Wow.

Attorney General Candidate.

Didn't you find anyone else to cheat?

Tell me if you can do it.

Charlie, is this a joke?

This is not what we agreed on.

My God.

That's my prize.

Take it or leave it.

Take it or leave it.

I would take it, rather grab it.

The prize, I meant.

Philip, that number doesn't work for us.

Please, let me handle this.

The numbers will work for us, Annie.

Eventually.

And she knows it.

From a not-so-okay pharmaceutical company...

to a drug empire.

That's her ambition.

So, yes.

It's happening.

Beautiful house.

But it's getting late, right?

We'll stay here.

We'll get the job done if we stay here.

So, deal?

Nice doing business with you.

Hey, ask for the money properly.

You can't just leave after paying the bill.

Sure, what an actor.

Jessie... What?

What a mess have you made?

Get lost.

Annie...

Charlie...

What's your plan?

What plan?

I got this fraud to work because you told me to.

Hey, what did you say to me?

I'm telling you now, remember.

If you come to me unnecessarily... I'll leave all this and go.

Come on.

Please.

What is it, sir?

Thirsty?

Keep dreaming, okay?

Oh, I heard two birds with one stone.

But you are ten times better.

You are a smart girl.

You know what's going to happen, right?

What's going to happen?

We have to put a full stop to this.

Please.

Otherwise, I'll get caught.

You know that, right?

People in our field tell me.

They are all big shots.

Jessie, all we have done so far are small jobs.

No, this is serious money.

They agreed to all your conditions because they need your help.

You shut up.

Big shots can't do this.

Here's the plan.

As he said, if this works out, their not-so-okay pharma company will earn crores.

What?

Is this a temple?

Our attorney general spent 250,000 US dollars to repair the ruined temple.

Hardcore orthodox.

So, there's no way to get emotional.

She is not going to fall for any of her cheap stunts.

Initially, I thought of using Philip's abused wife angle.

But that's when it happened.

We found a weak spot.

And his assistant, Kelly.

Manipulate her.

Lure her.

I don't care.

Do whatever.

We need her.

She is going to be our Trojan horse.

You just watch.

We are going to stop her.

We are going to strike where it hurts the most.

Attorney General, Anjali.

This abused wife angle and your usual gimmicks won't work on her.

That's why you come in.

Me?

Yeah.

What?

She said she'd do it.

What's the problem?

A hundred grand should do it.

This is the only way to hook her.

I don't think it's going to work.

Well, she's kind of cute.

That bloody Jessie.

That's what top dollars get you.

That's another level.

I told you so.

You see.

This is all happening because of the video I shot.

Jessie.

My lady luck.

Listen to me.

Please.

You hurt me, Amma.

You hurt your own daughter.

Who does that?

You put your own job over your own daughter.

So enjoy your success, Madam Attorney.

Alex.

Sorry to keep you waiting.

I was a little busy with the election.

I heard.

Anjali Madam.

The new Attorney General.

Hey, Matt.

Did you offer him something to drink?

Would he like some tea or coffee?

I didn't come to you for help.

You came to me, Anjali.

You told me that Philip will pay for what he did to my daughter.

Alex.

Alex.

And others like her.

I know that.

But do you remember what I told you that day?

They are going to try every dirty trick in the book.

And they did, Alex.

Might sound a little cliched, but... Experience has taught me a lot of things.

Sometimes there are many losses.

Along with that, there are some victories.

But to conquer the world, you don't have to be against them.

You have to be one step ahead of them.

The most valuable lesson in my life.

And you played a silent part in it.

When big changes are happening, we have to

forget some of the losses that come in between.

Sarah's case is the biggest loss in my life.

And we have to live with it.

Isn't it, Alex?

You are right, Anjali.

But you didn't lose.

You stepped back.

The pain I experienced is only for me.

I can never forget it.

I won't try to forget it.

Welcome.

I know it's been a while since I told you this.

I'm a little late.

Boss, how can I trust you?

Why did you bring her here?

When you said you wanted to kidnap a girl, I took it for granted.

But I made a mistake.

She's not an ordinary woman.

She's a big shot.

She won't get in so easily.

Boss, leave it.

Where is she?

Hey!

Why are you looking at me like that?

Give me the money.

Boss, there's more than what you asked for.

Let me know if you want more.

I'll get it ready for you.

I want to see her first.

Come.

Please let me go.

Hey, leave him.

Boss, we'll handle this.

Boss, please.

Just let me go.

Boss, please.

Let me go.

Chinnai, your Maya.

I'm still waiting for him like a bird.

I thought I was his lucky charm, and he came for me.

He washed my sins away like water.

He put me on his head like a star in the sky.

Why are my sins disappearing at this hour?

Why am I seeing this scene like a Ramachilaka trapped in a golden cage?

I don't know which shore this meeting will take me to.

I don't know which shore this meeting will take me to.

I don't know which shore this meeting will take me to.

I don't know which shore this meeting will take me to.

I...

I hate poetry.

When I think of poetry, I think of an old Telugu

master who used to sell liquor in a torn shirt.

My father.

Korean master.

And he was the biggest loser I saw in my entire life.

You know what successful people like?

They like things like this.

Very nice.

What did I tell you?

What did you tell me?

Jessie!

Jessie, I'm coming in, okay?

I'm coming to you to forget all my tensions.

Okay, I forgot.

What's wrong with that?

It's not forgetting.

You don't like it.

That's the truth.

I don't like anything.

My dream.

That foundation for drug addicts.

Oh, that?

It's not as simple as you think.

Starting a drug foundation.

And for drug addicts.

Rehab facilities, lobbies, they'll look at you.

Thank you.

Too many players involved.

Grab that file from the bed, will you?

Okay.

What's this?

The NGO project plan I told you about.

It's all in there.

What about the board?

Appendix file.

List of potential board of directors.

Two retired judges.

Current Surgeon General of the state.

And then some philanthropic show horses.

We need to see the state and federal status.

Then the registration processes relating to tax and licenses.

Starting page six.

Contract with Rachana Kanna Law Group.

They have a proven track record in NGOs and foundations.

What did I tell you?

These rehab facilities, lobbies...

None of them will let you near them.

Don't assume I don't know anything, Philip.

I've sent you a letter.

You haven't even seen it once.

Think about it.

It will also help our company.

Our drug trial issues completely ruined your reputation.

Oh, so all this is for me?

I need a meeting with your team.

Your one phone call can change our lives.

Wow, impressive.

I'll talk to them.

Call them.

Now?

If you call Philip Kuri, anyone will pick up the phone at midnight.

That's...

That's not what I meant, Jessie.

That's what I thought.

Shit!

Hey.

Hello.

Why are you so tense at this time, Jessie?

Did I miss anything?

Alexa, change the kitchen lights to purple.

There you go.

Look how beautiful you are.

No.

I didn't mean to make you angry, Philip.

I need my own identity.

I feel so stuck in this house.

It's suffocating.

Stuck.

Suffocated.

I can't breathe.

I can't breathe in a million dollar house.

There's another name for this in our language.

I didn't mean it that way.

You told me how hard it was for Philip Kuri to come up from a small village.

Why can't I have an ambition?

Why can't I have a bigger dream?

Why can't I have a bigger dream?

Bigger dream?

Do they give you an identity just because you are blind?

Look at this.

This is not the property that Philip Kuri earned by eating and working like a slave.

Do you understand?

A merciless journey.

Humiliations, insults, sleepless nights.

You can't even imagine it.

Philip, I...

It's not as easy as cheating an old man in an obscure bar with a perverted mindset.

It's the identity you want to earn.

What?

What are you saying?

This is the identity you want to earn by poisoning

a poor girl who was born in a poor family.

Shut your mouth, you fucking bitch.

I won't.

I freaking won't.

What are you talking about?

What do you know about me?

What do you know?

Do you know what my life was like?

You met me just now.

I've been on the streets.

Not like you can live here.

I know you were on the streets.

You are a street girl.

That's why you treat me like this.

And then you talk about women empowerment.

You are a bitch.

I really couldn't do this.

It's him, right?

Who?

Two guys came that day to kidnap a girl.

Him?

Let's go.

Hello.

We are busy right now.

Who is it?

That 40,000.

Give it to me.

Give it to me.

Hello.

Bro, do you remember me?

The boy contact you gave me helped me a lot.

Do you want to see that photo?

What are you looking at?

Come.

One minute.

Let's see.

I'm sorry.

Wait.

You said something in anger.

It's okay.

You said it.

I said sorry not for what I said.

If you want to win, I have to lose.

Let's not do this now.

Please.

Who would be here at this time?

I'll be right back.

Philip!

Mood lighting.

All decked up.

Is it your birthday, darling?

Philip, I made dinner for you.

Yeah.

I can see that.

I'm honored.

I'm trying to make this work.

That...

What are you trying to do?

I'm trying to make our marriage work.

Oh.

Our marriage.

Okay.

Alonge and Sona, Penarai, Patek, Philip.

All bloody expensive watches.

But once we take it off our hands, it won't work.

It's of no use.

It only works when it hits the heat in our body.

The heat.

The rhythm and rhyme of human body.

Do you get the drift, Annie?

That I don't offer you the heat that you want, Philip?

The warmth, damn it!

The warmth.

Can't you see how lifeless we are?

Morbid.

Philip, it scares me when you yell.

I don't want to scare you.

I started all this.

No?

You provoke me with all this charade.

Pasta, salad.

Really?

Trying to save our marriage.

Iqbal, don't do this to me.

Look, at least let our friendship last.

Annie, what the hell is this?

I should be asking that.

I couldn't give you the warmth that you wanted, Philip, right?

But today, you'll feel the heat.

Annie, do you really need these kind of people to sort things between us?

You're much classier than that.

I know it.

What?

How?

Hello, madam.

We got into this job after learning everything you told us.

So, don't talk about class and mass and make it work.

Annie, there may be personal conflicts between us.

I don't know who the hell these guys are and I don't want to know also.

There are no problems between us that we can't talk about and resolve.

So, stop this gun drama and stuff.

You really think you can talk me out of this, Philip?

Like all the other times?

Boss, there is no garbage to talk about here.

Annie, you really think you can win him back like this?

You bloody... You...

What?

This is our job.

No fingerprints, no leftover clothes.

Move.

Don't touch me.

Annie, do you realize what you're doing?

You don't realize it yourself.

I know what I did to make you win.

You have no freaking idea what I did.

I did it for us.

Or whatever was left of us.

Boss, there is a good thing about this.

No one will come looking for this.

Even if you kill it, no one will look for its corpse.

Corpse?

Corpse?

What are you talking about?

I don't understand.

Hello, you are being framed for this.

You will be blamed for this.

You are doing the right thing.

This is a done deal.

Don't worry, sir.

You won't be alive to see this.

I can't see you die, Philip.

But I want both of them dead.

What is he saying?

Annie, Annie, please don't.

Annie, please don't do this.

Annie, please.

Philip, just tell her.

Annie, please don't do this to us.

Annie.

Annie, please don't do this to us.

Annie.

Annie, please.

Stop it.

Don't do this, please.

No.

You did it.

You did it, man.

You did it.

This is not working.

Is this a deal?

This is a deal.

What the hell, Charlie?

Jessie, I...

Who are you?

You are a freaking loser.

That's who you are.

Let go of me.

Charlie, is she the girlfriend you were talking about?

Can we go for a ride?

Let's go.

We don't have any money, sir.

If you come to Johnny...

Charlie, take the photo.

Hey, this is not you.

You are the one who trapped me.

What did you say?

If I wasn't here, you would have been a corpse in the New York drainage.

I didn't get you trapped.

I took advantage of it.

If you only wanted money, why did you do all this?

Yes.

As soon as I asked you, you threw it away.

You should have stood in front of the gun.

You and sir.

That's when you will take care of me.

Do you even know my name, sir?

We don't have that chance.

I don't even have a name.

Driver, assistant.

I have worked hard for you for so many days.

But in the end, all the credit goes to him.

Come to the point, Charlie.

Hey, did you hear that?

Sir called me by my name.

I am blessed.

Your madam.

I knew everything when I came to the market to kill you.

If I had told you then, you would have called me good work Charlie.

You would have slapped me.

You would have put a thousand dollars in my pocket.

And this.

I already told you that this is your luck.

Otherwise, would you have given this quotation to them?

I mean, to our people.

Would you have given it to them?

Even if you played on my ground, what you have escaped is your life.

Now, I will tell you the real thing.

Give me an amount for this escape.

Fifty thousand dollars.

How much?

Take it or leave it.

One million dollars.

What?

Philip, let's talk about this.

Really?

Sir, are you serious?

Impressive.

I will need you with me.

They too.

Philip, please.

Yes, Jessie.

I was careless.

We were careless.

This is the punishment I give to myself.

Welcome to the company, gentlemen.

Shut up.

No.

That is not a normal slap.

That is a big slap.

Why are you looking at her face?

Give me the money.

Maya.

Why are you doing this?

Don't do this.

We will get caught.

Go away.

If you want to ask her anything, ask her face.

If I kill her, my anger will be reduced.

Why are you playing with a gun?

I am doing all this for you.

And you are playing with a gun.

What is this?

This is your plan.

Take your hands off.

Take your hands off.

Hey!

I asked you to bring someone.

Who did you bring?

Elena.

Come here.

Sit down.

Good.

Why are you laughing?

She is the Maya you were talking about, Annie.

Why is he calling her Annie?

I asked you to bring Maya, right?

Let her go.

Priya is not Maya.

She is Jessie.

Are you confused?

I don't care if she is Jessie or Maya.

You asked me to bring Philip Korean's wife.

She is Philip Korean's wife.

What?

Philip's wife?

What is he saying?

Shut up.

She is not Philip's wife.

Who is she?

I don't care about the court.

We have to settle the score.

Sorry, I am late.

He will win, right?

He will win.

Who is this new guy?

He is Philip Korean.

He is a stranger.

Seriously, are you not going to introduce me?

You are my wife, Jessie.

What the hell is going on?

I don't know.

I think they got the wrong girl.

Damn it.

He is the one who made the deal, right?

Why are you creating a scene?

Let's go.

Let her go.

Or else she will die.

Move aside.

No.

Do you know who she is?

Why do you care?

Maya asked me to find you.

Move aside.

Go away.

Who are you guys?

Why did you bring me here?

What do you want?

Okay.

She is not the one you are looking for.

Elena.

If she is the one you are looking for, she will be with Philip now.

I followed her after you told me.

I thought she knew about the Philip affair and hired both of you.

But later I found out that she planned something else.

Because she doesn't have any work as per her social status.

You don't have to talk to her.

You don't even answer the phone.

Just take the money and go.

You are making this more difficult.

Just get the hell out of here.

Hey, what's up?

I am Donnie.

Oh, I see.

You just want to pay me a leave.

Let's go.

She planned something else.

She made the drug trial victims in her pharmaceutical

company disappear without any evidence.

Making the drug trial victims disappear was her master plan.

I started following her out of curiosity and now, I have come to this file.

I am not just saying this.

The details of the victims along with the photographs are all in this file.

Only you can tell me why she did all this.

She has to tell me.

She will tell me.

Tell me.

Don't pretend to be a doctor.

Are you talking like a principal?

I had to do what had to be done.

And fell corp.

Dr. Malik, your drug is failing.

Can you explain this?

I told you, I need a little bit more time.

I can't do tests on animals and get you the results you want.

Science doesn't work that way.

Start a campaign.

Target children with cystic fibrosis and offer

gift cards to make it a thing on social media.

Line up patients by next weekend and make sure it doesn't directly trace back to us.

Doctor, if you wanted human trials, why didn't you just say so?

No, Annie.

That's not what I meant.

We are not ready for human trials.

She didn't achieve anything.

My customers are sorry and I... my dreams...

the sacrifices I had to make... my whole freaking life's work.

It's about 63 patients who have died.

This drug is turning out to be a killer.

You wanted human trials, not me.

Hey, that was an important call, sorry.

Just six patients, Dr. Malik.

No, not six.

See, clinical trials entail such deaths.

Few people die so that millions can live.

You were right.

It was all for a greater good, like Philip used to say.

I was the key to his success.

The reason for all these problems...

was Jesse.

That bloody b****.

I saw love for the first time... in the eyes of Philip, who only saw pleasure.

That too, when he said his name.

You are doing all this for money, right?

What's your price?

Let me go.

And you'll wake up a rich man.

Bye.

I'll take care of this.

Dad, you go.

I'll take care of it.

I'm not the type to sell for your money.

I'll stick to my principles.

Cut the crap.

Let's make a deal.

Wait, wait, wait, coach.

What's this deal she's talking about?

I feel like we should at least, you know... Shut up.

Please stop her.

We don't know who she is.

You don't have to know.

Vinay, I wanted to help you.

Let them make a deal and die.

Let's get out of here first.

What are you saying?

Maya is in that photo.

They know where she is.

Maya again?

Isn't she enough of a problem for you?

That's enough.

Let's go.

I won't leave until I find out where Maya is.

Someone left this place.

I'm done with this.

I swear I'll shoot.

Back off.

Hey, you.

Do you want to make a hundred grand?

You talking to me?

Yes.

Get me out of this shithole.

And I'll make you rich.

Finally.

Hey, hey, hey, hey.

No need for that.

I think we can all get what we want without anyone getting hurt.

All right?

Come on.

Let's take it easy, guys.

Look, coach.

I don't know what's going on, but it seems like this chick's loaded.

We could use the money.

You got the wrong girl anyway, so...

No.

All right, everybody.

Listen up.

You got a choice.

You can either stay here with this washed-up, pathetic old man, or...

You can come with me and do some real shit.

The time is now.

So who's with me?

Stroke, just stop.

Dad made you who you are.

Oh.

The Don made me who I am, really.

Last I checked, he was too busy playing and making his fucking toys.

Then he was making money.

You can stay here with the old man playing his vigilante bullshit game.

And everyone else can come with me and get paid.

Not gonna be that easy.

Put the thing away, man.

We all know you walk around with an empty can.

Oh, really?

You think so?

What are you looking at?

Come on.

Come on, let's go.

He's not gonna shoot us.

Hey, wait.

I need those documents.

You're gonna pay me the hundred grand, right?

Right?

Yes, yes.

Get me those damn documents.

Oh my god, I can't believe this shit.

It's over, Coach.

We both know that someday I'll be the one calling the shots, eh?

So here's what's gonna happen.

You're gonna shut up, give me what she needs, and sit your ass in a corner.

I mean, it's nothing personal.

Right, guys?

No, no!

Come on.

Dad!

Hey, Vinay!

What now?

What now?

He's eating shit.

Boss.

Boss.

Boss.

Boss, wake up.

That's my daughter.

Hey!

I need this, boss.

I worked so hard for this.

Get the hell out of here.

Shut up and come with me.

Wait a minute.

What happened there?

What are you going to do with this?

Everything went according to her plan.

We might find a lead.

Come with me.

We'll find one.

We'll find more if we come with you.

I don't understand how she died.

You escaped.

You escaped.

What do we do with this?

Come with me.

You took the photo and left.

Why are you still looking at it?

Sir, we got an information that all the operations are being transferred to India.

You'll give us the scope, right?

Paul, you're the big Telugu Chan in America.

Thank you, sir.

There she is.

Hey!

Paul, Jessie.

Jessie, Paul.

India's pride.

The pride of Andhra Pradesh.

Just like you, the media is praising you.

Hailing from a small town in Andhra Pradesh.

Building such a huge enterprise in America.

What's your story?

What's your game?

There's no game in this, Paul.

We should do good to the people around us.

This is what our ancestors taught us.

It is, in fact, a game.

It's all about winning.

It's all about your winning carnal instinct.

For the same reason, the faint hearted can just watch and envy.

Because par is the ultimate drug.

Pregnant women, spectators and players become slaves at the same time.

I was a...

medical representative, if you didn't know.

Carrying medicine in my bag, visiting doctors, our dreams were always small.

But this country made me dream.

America.

You know, maybe that's why they call it the great American dream.

Wow, very well put.

In your personal life, I'm very sorry for your loss.

Annie ma'am's death was a shock for all of us.

Would you like to comment on that?

Some marriages are great.

But as long as one stays loyal to the rules of

the game, there will always be a third hand.

That lucky hand will always protect us.

I don't know what happened.

The police are investigating and I'm fully cooperating with them.

Mr. Khuri, since this is controversial, let's leave it at that.

So tell me, give us a scoop.

What are your future plans?

Future plans...

Expand to India, maybe?

What's this?

In short, freedom.

A ticket to pursue your dreams.

It's always a pleasure.

Thank you for this investment.

Well, sir, I enjoy the idea.

It was originally Jessie's.

And I'm glad you agreed to help.

Well, let's make it happen.

Come on in, both of you.

A desire to take what you can't take.

A desire to eat what you can't eat.

Many countries, many governments, many wars.

They were all destroyed.

Because of this human desire.

Well, we're getting married in a few weeks.

Oh, wow.

Congrats.

So, how did you guys meet?

When did you meet?

The time we met, the day we met, the year we met.

I always talk about a few destinies.

Jessie and I meeting is a destiny.

It doesn't have a day, a date, or a year.

See, our desire, our passion, everything is the same.

We'll do everything as we promised.

See, I'm in the pharma field.

Jessie is looking for an NGO for drug abuse victims.

That's how we met.

And here we are.

Love hurts.

Who's gonna get it?

Yes, yes.

And that's when the game turns interesting.

I just need a minute.

Vinay, please, not now.

Vinay, please.

Don't create a scene here.

Stay back.

I just need a minute.

Sorry, you can't go.

Who the hell is this guy?

Please, let me handle this.

Not right now!

Guys, don't hurt him!

Please, stop!

Stop!

No!

Get the hell out of here!

When you let love distract you, you lose.

Can I help you?

Papa!

Not anymore.

Jack made.

The real question is, where are we headed to?

We have a lot to do in the future.

You are an interesting personality, Mr. Kurian.

It's an inspiring story.

What can I say?

It's all for the greater good.
