I'm doing absolutely awesome today.

We're here at North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for a nice little stroll on

the beach.

I love coming to the beach. Check out the waves, the sand. Oh, maybe some

seagulls.

Oh, wow.

You see that truck?

It's a garbage truck.

On the beach.

It's a beach garbage truck.

Oh, and look.

It's picking up garbage cans.

Oh, that's awesome.

We've got to check it out. Come on. Let's go.

Wow.

Wow. Well, hey there.

Hey, Andy Manhow.

Oh, this is Mr. Casper.

And you have an absolutely awesome truck.

What is this?

This is our load -a -pack beach sanitation truck.

Oh, that is awesome.

It's a beach garbage truck. Oh, it's awesome.

Safety first.

This truck is amazing.

You've got to check this out.

It's a beach trash truck.

Look, the engine is on the back side of the cab.

It's not in the front.

It's in the back.

Look at it.

Oh, wow.

All of the equipment on this truck is operated by hydraulic.

See all of the hydraulic hoses?

Oh, and look, even the oil filter.

Oh, that's amazing.

Check this out.

This is the trash bin.

That's where the trash is stored.

And on the inside, there's a compactor. That way, we can collect the most trash

in one trip.

And then whenever the bin gets full,

the whole entire back cap opens up and tilts over. It infuses the trash out.

Then we can close it back up and get back to work.

But the way the trash gets inside, It's really awesome. Come on, let's go check

that out.

The front of this truck is totally awesome.

Check this out.

Look, it says load and pack.

And there's some really amazing orc lights.

Got a headlight. We've got a flashers.

And an overhead orc light.

It's really bright. That way you can see at night or if it's really foggy

outside.

But the best part about this truck is this.

This is the hydraulic arm that collects the trash from trash cans.

Just like this. Trash can comes in.

It closes on it.

And it lifts it up and dumps it in the bin.

That's awesome.

This is how it works.

It has chains.

And it has gears.

They work together with the hydraulics.

that operate the arm, that lifts the trash can up to the top and dumps it

the top of the bin.

And if you see those up there, these little white pieces that are sticking

everywhere, you know what those are called?

They're called whiskers.

And they have a really important job.

Their job is once the trash is emptied into the bin, they keep it from blowing

out, kind of like a trap.

They have a really important job. You know, maybe I should hop inside.

Oh, yeah.

This truck is amazing.

We'll turn that on, get that ready.

This truck has so many amazing features.

Of course, it has a horn.

We've got our lights on,

the beacon on, and, of course, the work light.

We've got that. Now, we've got to crank it up.

Perfect.

Yep. Check this out. It even has camera system.

We've got a screen that has a picture of everything that's going on around us.

The sides of the truck, the back of the truck, and even...

We've got a camera inside the bin so we can tell whenever it's full.

And then we've got our hydraulic levers.

This lever operates the arm.

And this lever operates the bin.

So we move this lever to the left.

It's going to grab the trash can.

And then if we use this lever to move back, it lifts it up.

And then, of course, we can release the trash can too.

And then we're on to the next bit.

This is awesome. Well, I guess I might need to get back to work. Let's go.

We're getting to ride on the beach, keep it clean, and get to enjoy the waves

and the ocean, the sun and the sand.

We've got to line up just perfectly.

Let's get this gray bin right here nice and easy.
