And let me tell you, this is the coolest bowling alley I have ever seen.

It's great.

We're actually getting our shoes ready.

A little disinfectant spray.

Oh, yeah, in each one of these shoes.

Oh, wow.

Check out these shoes.

They're called bowling shoes.

Oh, yeah. And look on the bottom.

Check that out.

It's got leather.

And you know what that's good for?

That's good for sliding on the bowling alley. That way you don't get hurt.

That's really, really cool.

Oh, so you need some shoes.

Oh, what size do you need?

Oh, a nine?

This is the coolest part.

We get to choose our own bowling ball.

And these are bowling balls. Oh, yes. And if you look right here, you see a

number on them?

That's the size of the ball. So this is a nine -pound ball.

It weighs nine pounds.

This one is a 10 -pounder. Oh, and 11 pounds. Oh, it's great.

And then, of course, on each ball, they have finger holes.

You got to make sure that they fit in perfectly.

Nope, that don't work.

Let's see if this one works.

Oh, that's perfect, I think.

I think we're going to go with the red one. Come on, let's go.

Oh, yeah.

Have you ever been bowling before?

It's really awesome.

It's got to know some really important things.

Let's set our bowling ball down.

This is the kiosk where you can put your name in. Check that out.

Steven got my name in there already.

And then, of course, we have 10 frames.

We have 10 frames to bowl.

We have 10 frames to knock down 10 pins.

They're down there. They're white pins. They're set up in a triangle.

How cool is that? And, of course, everything that's on this screen is on

screen up top so everybody can see.

Well, let's get to it.

Look. I even got my bowling shoes on.

Let's get our bowling ball.

All right. So we got to line up.

You get the perfect space.

And then, of course, this whole entire section here, it's called the approach.

You got to have the right approach.

It's the rake.

The rake's everything off of the plane.

And then the big thing at the top, it's called the pin setter.

And it sets the pins back down. How cool is that?

Oh, a strike is where you knock them all down on the first try.

That was a gutter ball.

The two things in the side there, those are called gutters.

And sometimes you roll your ball in there.

And look, this is it.

This is the pin setter. Oh, it's a pretty big piece of machinery.

And this is actually what sets up your pins.

It sends your ball back to the front.

Let's check this out.

First off, this amazing thing here.

This is called a pinwheel.

And so when the pins come in, it spins them around and around.

And it drops on the top right here. And this is the conveyor belt.

It shoots them all the way to the top. And it gets them all set to be set up in

the triangle. How cool is that?

Let's turn it on and let's try it out. Here we go.

There's our switch.

Oh, yes!

Oh, look, here they come!

Here they come!

Look at them!

Oh, it's rolling them up to the top.

And it's setting them on the conveyor belt.

Look at them!

And it's setting them getting ready to put in the triangle.

Oh, how cool is that?

It really is loud back here.

This is really awesome!

It just dropped in its triangle form.

Look at all of these wheels and belts and gears.

It's really awesome.

Let's find out how the ball return works.

We've got to shut it off.

Okay, there it goes.

It's really cool.

You've got one right here. Look at it.

Inside, there's another ring.

This is called the ball wheel. So when the ball comes, it falls in, bends

it all the way up, it comes off of this little ramp, and it shoots it out front

all the way back to where you're standing and you can ball. Oh, that's

got to turn it back on, though. All right, there we go.

Oh, wow. All the way to the front it goes.

That's a fast ball.

Now, we've got a really awesome job to do.

Check this out.

This is called a lane oil machine.

It looks really cool.

You've probably never seen one of these before, but you know what it does?

It actually oils the lane.

The reason why it does that is to protect the lane surface.

If you look on the inside, We've got this really cool blue spinny brushy. Oh,

yeah. It looks almost kind of like a car wash. And it spins around and around

and around. And it cleans the surface.

And it even has a squeegee inside.

It squeegees. It cleans.

Oh, wow. All right. So I guess we need to get started. Come on.

Oh, yeah.

Lift this up.

And there's a little red button right here that we get to push.

What's cool is once we get to the end, It knows when to come back by itself.

Let's do this. Here we go.

Oh, wow. How cool is that?

Now, on its way back, we, They've got to pull the cord to make sure it

doesn't get up underneath the machine.

How cool is this?

Oh, yeah.

It's on its way back. Isn't that really cool how it does it on its own?

It knows when to stop. It knows when to start.

We got one lane done.

and we got to do the next one so we got to pull it out oh just like that oh yeah

and we got to get over here to this side there we go just like that oh

yep and now we just gotta line it up let's see here

um like that maybe uh right there oh we're gonna hit the red button one time

oh yeah Here we go.

We got to drop it in there just like like that All

Oh, look. Can you see the oil shooting out the front?

That's awesome.

Of course, it helps your ball from going in the gutter. Oh, this is going to be

So we put our ball right here on the top, just like this.

It's like a little ramp. Here we go.
