Bye bye...

Pearl

Coming

The eighteenth birthday is today

Pearl's heart is so elated

She smiles in secret

and then yells to me

It's difficult to guess her thoughts

It takes ice cream to put out the fire

Don't joke about it

You won't understand

I was right

Go away, I'm unlike you

Like the rice paddy at the first harvest

And like the deer hopping

or like the mouse running

My heart is fluttering

I think it is because Spring is here

yet a sweet home is never there

He should be handsome, strong and courteous

Thought we'd walk & discuss when I meet you

Nancy only knows how to fool around

I don't need this kind of friend

You already have 8 boy friends

The more the merrier

But where can you find true love

He should have honesty, ambition and breeding

Take your 8 boy friends

None of them is qualified

Studying is more important than love

... yet one wants to meet a boy

If one wastes the youth ...

it'll be too late regret when you're eighty

Plan well your future

Don't take me for a cat in heat

Daddy has brought over the car

I'm going home now

Bye bye

I'm going back to the residence

You take the bus yourself

How can there be such a thing

You must see me home

Darling daughter, not today

I have to hurry back to the residence

But I insist

Give me a break, okay ?

That's like an obedient daughter

Servants at home

Money like my own

Rolling rumbling murmur

I love it here

Rolls Royce is like mine

Take madam to Yau Ma Tei first in the morning

... then take my daughter to school

The Rolls Royce never discloses my secret

I like it and I thank you

Servants at home

Blooming close together many flowers in the garden

I love it here

I'll pick a few to bring home

Mushroom and dried shrimps

the kitchen is over-stocked

I love it here

Take some, it won't be noticed

Only if you are loyal to me

Like putting the pots and pans together

unless you tell the boss

I'll fry you like chicken in a pan

Bring it here

Servants at home

Bed sheets and crockery is like my own

I'll just store them in the closet

I'll be quick and not hesitate

I love it here

I'll never leave

It would be a pity to leave

Where can I find a better place

Take it up

Come in

Master, the beef soup is here

Bring it here

Yes, master

Master

Where's young master ?

Since he has an appointment at night ...

he's asked Lau to bring the car back first

Ask him to come up

Yes, master

Your dim sum is here

Come in

Master, you asked for me ?

What appointment does Chun Hua have ?

His friend is throwing a birthday party

A dance party ?

No...

Girls ?

I'm not sure

Nonsense... you should find out

Yes

Only if I didn't have rheumatism !

Chun Hua, a student of twenty odd years old,

how could he be a general manager ?

With his age and position

Is there a girl who wouldn't want to be near him ?

Right

Chun Hua is young

I fear he'll fall into their trap

If...

how could I face his mother ?

You mean your deceased wife ?

Yes

It's been 20 years

Master

Shall I get young master back ?

No

You must watch him closely

especially when he is with girls

Report to me at once

Yes

Especially regarding the girl's family background

... you must find out clearly

Chun Hua is my only child

I am handing this responsibility to you

Yes, master

Go down

Yes

Old Lau

Master

Ask the cook to prepare me the meal early

Yes

Madam, I've brought a cake for Pearl

Thank you, please be seated

Pearl, don't eat yet, the guests haven't arrived

Take this

Coming, who is it ?

Uncle Chiu, Uncle Suen

Congratulations

Pearl, you're so beautiful today

Thank you, come in

Congratulations, here's a chicken for you

Thank you

Give me... thanks

Uncle Chiu, what have you got for me ?

Guess

I can't, you tell me

Be patient

An egg

There are lots more

It's broken

This is Pearl's birthday gift

All the same...come in

Congratulations

Thank you

Where's Pearl ?

She's inside

27, 28, 29, 30, 31

That's all

No more ?

Little chickens

Come and help

Don't panic, coming

Thanks

Come...

You're quicker than me

Uncle Chang, where's godma ?

I don't know

Open up

Daddy

Who is it ?

Godma is here

Godmother

Pearl, don't laugh at this

Aunty Li doesn't have anything better

Here are drapes as material for clothes

It's imported from England though

Thanks godma

Don't mention it

I have laboured each day in the garden

and I would say orchid is still the best

Can I wear it ?

Sure

Have some cold cuts

Mushroom and dried shrimps

Stinking socks ?

I guarantee they come in...

all shapes and sizes

Go away

Wear these

See how shiny they are

Even better than the real ones

See how beautiful you are

See how stylish you are

Walking down the street

Strolling in the park

See those young fellows...

following you with a whistle

I don't want to be pretty

I don't want to be stylish

You just want a teddy boy to follow you ?

I don't want it

Pearl's blushing, so stop joking

She is young and pretty like a flower

but without a proper beau

Pearl's prettier than a flower

Find a lover and get married

Good. Pearl's prettier than a flower

Find a lover and get married

Let's think of a plan

The chef at the Li's is taller than me

his culinary skill is tops

He's heavy on the MSG (artificial flavouring)

... but the boss eats it just the same

The book-keeper at the Wong's always smiles

He runs a profitable account ...

and discards a lot of stuff each day

and owns half of Nathan Road

Chau's gardener sells flowers in secret

and fills his own wallet

The tailor at Ting's is wealthy

He owns property

What about it ?

I don't need a tricky bookkeeper

... nor a lazy gardener

As long as he has a good character

who cares what and who he is

Pearl...

I am throwing a party tonight

you must come

I don't dance well

No problem, just come and have fun

Hey, I'll let you in on a secret

All my eight boyfriends are coming tonight

That's a pre-nuptial event

No, I won't ever get married

You can't pick one from eight ?

The problem is ...

all eight of them love me

How can I marry just one

... and give up the other seven ?

Pearl, don't take mine

What are you talking about ?

You don't think I can get a boyfriend ?

No

Nancy

John. Excuse me

That's it then, good bye

I was looking for you

You must come to the party tonight

I can't make it tonight

Come...

I understand, I'll come

Come early

Nancy

Sorry

It's okay

Where was I ?

Oh, it's a fact you don't have a boyfriend

That's because I don't want one

I can't handle something like this

What if they find out the fact ?

That's impossible

Are you coming to the party ?

Of course

If only to see your boyfriends fighting over you

That won't happen

It's almost nine

Why don't we start the dance ?

Waiting for the hostess to begin

Nancy, if you don't start we'll leave

Yes, we're leaving

Don't go...

It's going to start...

Sit for a while more

Okay

May I have this dance

Dance with me

Stop, I don't want to dance anymore

Nancy...

Dance with me first

Nancy, what's the matter ?

Pearl, think of something quick

I can't go on with the party

Whenever I dance with anyone of them

... the other seven will go crazy

What should I do ?

It's your fault you have so many boyfriends

But they are all so good to me

... and love me as much

How can I leave them ?

This is difficult

Please get off the car

Come and join us

No...

I don't know how to dance and don't know them

I'll introduce you

Come out and move about

or you'll never meet girls, come...

I really don't know how to dance

No problem, come...

I don't know

Old Lau, wait for your master outside

Yes

Go

Are they dancing ?

Of course. When a group of youngsters gather

... they inevitably dance

Your young master is like a monk

and doesn't know how to enjoy. Let's go, Chun Hua

Look at me

Party...then there should be girls at the party

Why go back ?

Nancy

Chau Ping

Who is this ?

Why have you come only now ?

I went to see my friend

This is Ms Nancy Kwan

This is Mr Wong Chun Hua

Hey, you want to interfere too ?

Aren't the eight of us enough ?

Let go...

Let go...

You are so rude

Let go...

Let go...

No way

What's wrong with you ?

Whyever did you do that for ?

You're... so beautiful

Who's bullying you ?

I'm so happy

Let's go

We're going

Don't go, it's starting now

Nancy, you promised me the first dance

Nancy

Pearl, help me get the dance started

Please ?

I really don't know how to dance

I really don't know how to dance

Never mind, come

It's okay

Take it in ?

Yes

It's for you

For me ?

Yes

Really ?

I'll take it in for you

That's great

Dance...

All together

I don't know how to dance

Leave it here

I'm a stand-in

I'll get the money

Look at me, kicking and jumping

They think I am a real pro and follow me

Yet they daren't laugh... how strange is it !

I lose my shoe easily

I saw this foolish fellow sitting in the school

couldn't keep his hands to himself

This old man is young at heart

He got his girl but lost his shoe

I'm always punctual and daily take a bath

and cannot sleep because of you

You're asleep now. Please dance with me

Don't consider me old, I'm better than others

Stop the noise, I feel hassled

She's lost her temper and her hair

That fatso is shameless and wants to dance

See how I make you fall

I'm so good at it but please be patient

With a few moves all will hit the floor

No one is an exception

Nancy come with me and lose them all

Don't pull

Nuisance

Wake up...

Come on, Pearl

Dad, how come you're here, go back

Quick...

Daddy, he...

I ask you...

Have you seen...

a lady in yellow dress ?

She left with someone in a chauffeur's uniform

That must be old Lau, thanks

Please open the door

Young master, you are back

Is Old Lau back ?

Not yet, master

You...

When he returns... ask him to see me

Master, you're back

You're... so beautiful

I'm... so pleased

I am no saint

I am no monk

All because you're too beautiful

and I can't forget you

You're too beautiful, I love you

You're too beautiful, I can't forget you

Master

Master

Old Lau... where are you ?

If you're still not here I'll call the police

Be careful

Since I'm no monk

I am enchanted by you

You're just too beautiful

and tempt my heart

I'm so impatient

Come back, I'm so anxious

Come back, or I'll lose my temper

Is he back ?

Not yet, master

I want to see him when he does

Hello...

Hello...

Yes...master

Where are you going ?

No one is answering the phone

Are you dead ?

I tell you

I want to see Old Lau when he returns

Yes, master

What nonsense...

How can you fool around with master ?

I didn't know...

who he was !

We just met at the Kwan residence

... and danced together. Nothing wrong

Bullshit, you want me to get fired

You must understand you are a chauffeur's daughter

You're not good enough for young master

So what ?

Even if I'm a chauffeur's daughter

There is nothing shameful

Dad, don't look down on yourself

Pearl, daddy wants the best for you

Those rich young guys ...

are all molded from one block

Their tricks are well known

What tricks ?

Don't you believe me ?

Look

You suddenly appear before me

My little darling

If you love me

... my life has hope

Be my lover

My little darling

Accept these flowers

... if you don't detest me

My beloved, you're so beautiful

Don't stare at me

Let me kiss your hand

And you little darling

... and your heart and your lips

Give all to me

My beloved, the heaven and earth

... this diamond ring is for you

Please promise me

O' my sweetheart

I love you so much

give me your everything

No

Help

You old fool

How can you say that in front of your daughter ?

Sorry...

I am right about him

All rich young guys are like that

Stop it

That's what you hear only

Wong only had one dance with me

You don't have to say such unkind words about him

Daddy, I have the freedom to make friends

What impertinence !

What do you mean 'your own' business ?

I paid for your education ...

and you know only dancing and falling in love

You detest my poverty...

and you don't even listen to me ?

What do you want ?

Daddy, it's precisely that. Because I study

... I understand life;

And I won't try to be close to him

just because he is rich

Or look down on him ...

because he is a street cleaner

Our family is poor

but I have never been ashamed of it

So don't use that against me

Look, this is so outrageous !

Do they teach this at school ?

If my attitude is bad, please forgive me

But Wong is a righteous person

and I am determined to be his friend

From tomorrow you're not allowed to go to school

The wind chimes rattle my heart

I can't forget your beauty

What magic have you...

to make me think of you all day

I was lonely and lost before

and you came like the fresh dawn

I dream of you

I hate you, why are you so mysterious !

Who can tell her...

my heart is hers

Oh god, can you find me a way ?

Just let the moon send my love to her

Tell me dear moon

Why my heart flutters so

I feel so lost and anxious

What is it all about ?!

I never feared

and took control

Why does my heart ...

feel tumultuous waves

I flutter like a butterfly

and fly into a spider's web

and can't break free

Oh moon help me to forget him

Who is shouting for help ?

There's a dead person

IN the garden ?

Over there

How can that be ?

It's young master

Master

You spent the night here ?

Hope you didn't catch cold !

No

Old Lau

Good morning, young master

Did you take the girl home last night ?

Yes

Good

I won't blame you for not waiting for me

Thank you

Did you take her home personally ?

Yes, master

Old Lau, master has called

... and sent for you

You really took her back ?

Yes

Take me to her right now

Old Lau,

master is throwing a temper

Coming...

Quickly

Young master, sorry, master is calling

It's okay, take me after you've seen him

No, I can't

Young master, I can't

Young master

Aunty Li, She...

She is new here

Come, there is a strange smell

She has body odour

Body odour ?

Master

What happened to Chun Hua last night ?

Young master met a girl last night

Oh, that's right

Why didn't you tell me sooner ?

Master, I did what you said

Last night I investigated into the girl's background

... and have not slept till now

So what have you got ?

I acquired the information on her

She lives in Kwun Tong

Her whole family has body odour

Body odour ?

Yes

How can we have relations with such people ?

I am in a difficult position

Right

Master asked me to take him to the girl just now

I don't permit it

Yes...

Tell him I said it

Yes, master

You haven't slept the whole night

You don't need to drive today, go and rest

Thank you

Have you seen my lighter ?

No

No ?

Master

I...

I understand

I'll give you a raise tomorrow

Thank you master

Old Lau...

Go quickly

Master has given me a day off

Ask Old Wang to take you to work

Then you have to tell me her address

But master said not to tell you

Old Wang, come here

I have been given a day off

Please attend to young master

Alright...

What did you say to father about her ?

Nothing bad, don't worry

I'm going home, good bye

Old Lau...

Young master

Let's go

Do you know Miss Nancy Kwan ?

No

May I ask...

if you know Miss Nancy Kwan ?

You're looking for Nancy Kwan ?

Yes

Where is she ?

She is in the Grand Hospital

Don't move...

Nancy, marry me

Doctor...

the patients are going nuts again

Marry me, marry me

Bring the sedative

Nancy, marry me

Nancy, I'm coming

Nancy, it's you

Nancy, I love you. Marry me

What's happening ?

These eight fellows are proposing to their girl

What ? Male and female in the same room ?

The girl requested it

Although the girl was hurt ...

she said she couldn't give up the eight lovers;

And that she would die with them

That's her...go and get her

Young master, it's dangerous

Go

Yes...

Sorry...

Marry me

I'm rich

Young master, what is it ?

Old Wang...

What, you dare hit me ?

Sorry, master

Go and look her up

Nancy, darling Nancy

Shameless

Nancy, you haven't promised to marry me

Nancy, marry me

Nancy, don't listen to him

I really love you

Marry me now

I don't want it...

Stop it

No, I don't want it

There's one over there

Give him an injection

No...I don't want it

I'm not a patient

Get a bigger needle

I don't want it

Bigger

Help

Old Wang

I'm really sorry

It's alright

You again asked someone to pose as father ?

He means well

Go away

Nancy...

Sister...I asked you not have so many boy friends

But you won't listen... look at you now !

Nancy, tell me...

The lady who danced with me last night

... where does she live ?

Don't even mention dancing again. Now scoot !

Right, if it weren't for dancing

... would she be like this ?

Really

Nancy, tell me where she lives

Please tell me

She can't speak, her teeth have been knocked off

Sister... your teeth have been lost

Please write her address for me then

Are you blind ? Her arm's in a cast

She can't write

Can you write it for me please ?

Must you know the address of that lady ?

I know, I'll tell you

It's inside

You...

Old Wang...

Master, I am here

Master, stop looking

It's time to go to work

I'll not give up till I've found her

Where are you going to go looking for her ?

No one knows where she is

There's someone who does

He lives up there

Someone open the door

Old Lau

I'm on leave, don't bother me

Young master...My wife

What is it ?

Young master is here

Hide the stuff we've stolen

If he sees it we're in trouble

Old Lau

Dad, what's up ?

Young master is here

Pearl, come...

You can't open the door

you can't see young master today

Why not ?

Please listen to me for once

Go into your room

No

Go into your room

Old Lau

Sorry

Master, please come in

What took you so long ?

You go and wait for me in the car

Master

Why didn't you open the door ?

Please come in

It's a mess here, let me tidy it up

What can I do for you ?

Go and make a meal

Please sit, master

Please

Old Lau, the girl last night

... where does she live ?

Which girl ?

You scared me

Young master is good, I like him too

You took her home last night;

Where does she live ?

Which girl are you referring to ?

The girl in this photo looks like her

What photo ?

Master...

Please sit...

Master...

Please have some tea

Please have some tea

Where's the tea ?

I forgot, I'll get it

How can this be ? Go get it

Your foot

Master

Please get up

It's alright

I like sitting on the floor, it's cooler

Yes it is

What's with you two ?

Nothing

We always play like this

Master, what do you want with me ?

Let's talk somewhere else

Okay...

Good bye

Come again when you have time

Master, what do you want with me ?

Immediately get the girl whom I met last night

... or you can forget coming to work tomorrow

Master, that girl is my...

Back to the office

How can I bear to leave you

We should have had such good time

But Pearl went into a frenzy

... and got into soul dance

That was so much trouble

What trouble ?

All would have been well

... but then master went nuts

and wants to fire me

If Pearl couldn't be found

What's there to fear ?

Master is cold and heartless

It's so sad considering my 20 years' service

I have been dutiful

and have not fooled around

Why is my luck so bad !

Don't feel sad

... or you'll go nuts too

I have a good plan

Reckon it should work

What good plan do you have ?

Pearl, come out

What's the matter ?

For you, daddy

might be fired

Yes...

Go see young master with daddy

Pearl, you must save daddy

I'm your father

Father

Even if you don't work for the Wong family

... you can drive a cab

And if our family is in difficulty ...

I can quit studies and find a job

Why must you place me ...

in the hands of a rich man ?

Stop sighing

I like him...

so I'll go

What an obedient daughter !

Go back to school tomorrow

Really ?

It's true

But when you see master in a while

... don't say I'm your father

Why ?

Can't my father be a driver ?

It's not like that

I am afraid if old master found out, I would be...

Be a good girl and don't give Dad a hard time

Yes...

Alright

Put on some make up

No, why would I fawn on him

I won't go if it's like this

Alright then...as you wish, go...

Father...you

Let's go

I missed you so badly

I have not been myself day and night

Now I see you - what a lovely sight!

My heart is beating fast

Why do you want to see me ?

How shall I handle our reunion

This dress from Paris suits you well

And with this hat it seems we're in Mexico

I see you too together

I suffer stormy weather

The closer you get, the more painful it's for me

Master, where are we heading ?

Repulse Bay or Shatin ?

Go home

I want to invite you to my home, okay ?

Master, the weather is so good...

Because my father is against me seeing you

that's why I want you to meet him...

Perhaps he might change his opinion for you

Master, the weather is so good

Let's relax in the country side

No, let's go home right now

I have a stomachache... be right back

I still don't know your name

I am Pearl

Mr Wong, you're so rich, I just ...

Please don't be prejudiced

As long as you don't detest me

There is no problem with what you are

You're... so beautiful

Aunty Chin, our young master...

Stop. Listen to me

Our master met a girl

Her name is Pearl. We'll be right back

Stop interrupting, listen to me

Please help me

When Pearl comes back ...

Don't let old master see her

What ? You're not aunty Chin

Ask aunty Chin to come to the phone. Oh God !

It's for you

Don't say I've been sneaking around

Young master met a girl

You'll never guess who she is

If it's not Pearl

I'll do anything

Pearl is dating young master

and her family is worrying over this

Master has said...

if young master must have a girl,

... she must be rich

So what's to be done ?

What do you think ?

We must have a good idea

... and not let master see Pearl

Just hide master in the room

We'll all sneak around

all because of Pearl

Master stays in the room, the young one stays out

Let's do it together

all because of Pearl

Check the front door

Okay

Where's the beef soup ?

Young master will be back soon

There's no more gas, what to do ?

No wonder... I stole too much

Master's car has come in

Add some water to it quickly

The dog might vomit and get diarrhea

It's okay. If Pearl's identity is exposed ...

All is lost

Quickly...

What if master finds out ?

Quick...

Come in

What is it ?

I've brought beef soup for the dog

Let me see

Why is it so diluted ?

Must be a mistake in the kitchen

I'll change it

Ah Lan...

Yes ?

Change it

This soup is no good, hurry

It's so beautiful here

Old Lau, what are you doing ?

Get the door for miss

Sorry, don't know what's wrong with Lau

He's such a fool these days

My father's like that too

Let's go in

Aunty Chin

Aunty Chin

What's wrong ?

What are you doing ?

Delivering beef soup to master

Young master is back

Be careful

Sorry, please get off

Thanks

Please

Give it to me

We're too late

Old Lau

Young master

Why have you locked us in the car ?

Must be a mistake

You're so stupid

Sorry

Miss Lau, please come inside

Okay

This house is so beautiful

It's old

Please sit

Please wait, I'll get dad

No

I'll get him for you

No, I'll go myself

Young master...

Pearl, please stop him

I didn't promise not to see his dad

Master, I'll get old master in a while

No need

For you

Give it to me quickly

Quickly...

Must be the beef soup, I'll go

It's young master

Where's father ?

He's sleeping

I'll wake him

No, he hates that

It's okay, I want him to meet my girlfriend

He should be happy

Master

Why are you so careless ?

Look

Go and help him change clothes

Go quickly

Aunty Chin

What's that noise ?

Ah Lan dropped the beef soup

Be careful next time

Yes

Father

Father

See, your father is smart

Pearl, how come you know young master ?

That's great

We met in the department store, dad, come

Tell us

Sorry...

Father, you are smart today

but what about the future ?

What future ? Is there a future ?

Why not ?

He likes me and I like him

And if master also likes me...

and agrees to our marriage;

What will you do ?

You want to get married ?

I am old enough to have this freedom

What did you say ?

Didn't you just promise me ?

I only promised that ...

I'll deny you in front of him

Besides, you wanted me to be friends with him

But I didn't ask you to marry him

What do you want me to do ?

Stop seeing him

Only to protect your job, right ?

Sorry, master

Sorry to keep you waiting

It's okay

What are you doing here ? C'mon, leave

Yes...

Sorry, my father's asleep

Let's go to the country side, shall we ?

Young master is right

Have fun in the country side and enjoy some seafood

Let's go then

Let's go

No it's my first visit

I should see uncle

But our master is asleep

I'll wait. Mr Wong, come, sit down

Yes

When master wakes up...

the sun would already have set

What fun it would be then ?

It's alright

We'll chat here

We'll have Miss Lau for dinner here then

But I'm afraid father will...

Will what ?

You don't know my father

What about him ?

He hates you

How come ? He hasn't seen me

He said all rich young folks

... are promiscuous

This is a big mistake

I must explain to him. Where is he ?

He...he's working

Where ?

The place...

Old Lau, what are you doing here ? Leave

Yes

Where does your father work ?

So near and yet so far...

Good...

Good for what ?

Good. The tea is hot

Of course, it's just been prepared

Leave us

Miss, have some tea

Thanks

It's late, I'll wake dad up

No need, the sun is setting

Let's go to the country side, shall we ?

Okay

Master, the car is ready

Thank you

If he wants to take you home

stop at any place but not ours

I don't need the car, drive it back

Yes, master

Who has mood for such scenery

Those in love are tense

Love is in the air ...

and beauty fills the senses

Some are deep in thought, some are lost

Is this real or a picture

I can't see the sun's brightness

nor feel the coolness of dusk

Lovers only hope to hold hands and be together

Do they dare to speak, or remain reticent

Both hearts are lost

They know night will come and the moon ...

changes take a lifetime to think

Love is endless

Mysterious like my dream

It's late

Will your family wait for you ?

Do you want to go back ?

I...

Let them wait then

It's past one, I'll take you back

Taxi

Get in

Time to go home

Where to, sir ?

Where do you live ?

Kwun Tong

Kwun Tong, please

Ting...

Time to come back and sleep

What did you say ?

What's the problem ?

Ting, you must rest

I can't go to sleep alone

Keep me company, okay ?

I'm busy, hug your pillow instead

If you don't come to bed right now

I'll divorce you

Divorce...

I...I'm coming

MCC one

Help serve my wife

Yes

Slowly, be gentle

What's with you ?

What do you want ? Let go

Let go

I asked you to help serve my wife

But why do you want to rape her ?

I punish you banging your head

My dear wife...

Open the door

Take this taxi back, good bye

No...

It's late, I should see you to your door

It's okay, I'll go up myself

You live here ?

I'll go with you

Helen...

What a lazy brat !

This is my place, please go back

No...it's okay

Pearl

Which unit is yours ?

That one

You...

This is killing me

What on earth do you want ?

Go back

My father hates me going out for a date

What's up ?

It's true, go

When will we meet again ?

Good bye

Who is it ?

What a nuisance !

Pearl, it's you

Brother Kwan

It's late, what are you doing here ?

I...

I was stalked from the cinema...

a man wanted to molest me

Who ? Where ? I'll beat him up

Good bye

Damn kid. It's you again

I'll kill you

Forget it, it's not worth it

I'm going, good bye

What are you doing here ?

That girl is so beautiful

You are up to no good again

Go to the florist

Yes

Have them sent to 7th floor number 4

Do it yourself

No...

Okay...

Old Lau

Yes ?

Here's a card, go...

Who is it ?

Who are you looking for ?

Is this number 4 ?

Yes

Not bad

What ? Flowers for you ?

I don't know. They're for you

How come ?

See for yourself

When will we meet again ? Chun Hua

I don't know such a man

You don't ?

Why is he sending you flowers then ? Damn it

Get in

I really don't know him

Go in

Go in

I really don't know him

I'll wait for you at Maxim's at five o'clock

Why has she stood me up ?

I miss you so badly

I want to meet your family

What impertinence !

I'll visit you at your home tomorrow

Oh, he wants to marry you too

Tell me, who is he ?

How should I know ?

Who should I ask ?

Alright, have it your way

I'll fix the bastard

What ?

Father, don't be angry

She is a good girl

Bullshit. Body odour is hereditary

What body odour ?

Old Lau said her family has this problem

Will you give me a grandson with such a problem ?

No way, I was with her for a whole day

How come I didn't notice it ?

Foolish

You are under her spell

Father

Go to sleep

I like her

But I need your approval

Please meet her...

and give me your opinion

So why doesn't she come to me ?

She's shy

I've tried asking her

Her family is strict

What if I don't like her ?

I'll go by what you say then

But you haven't even seen her

How can you make a judgment ?

If you see her,

you must like her

Pearl would get married soon

Really ?

Is she marrying young master ?

Yes

What marriage ? Nonsense

Everyday I...

Stop nagging, what a wet blanket

Tomorrow dress Pearl up well

As soon as master leaves

... I'll make a call to you

Alright...

Where does she live ?

In Kwun Tong

Kwun Tong ?

Old Lau

Master

We're going to Kwun Tong

Yes

Pearl doesn't live in Kwun Tong

Oh god

What is it ?...

Master isn't going to see Pearl

Didn't master say he's going to see Pearl ?

No

Where have they gone ?

To Kwun Tong

What to do now ?

I'll call Pearl

You watch master

Don't let him meet other women

Pearl...

What is it ?

We have a problem

Godma just called

Master has gone to Kwun Tong

Kwun Tong ?

Chun Hua, nice place

Dad, she's a nice person too

Please

This is the place

Automatic doors. How very progressive !

Master...

Father

Father...

First, spanking

Father

Father

Open the door

Second step, feed the milk

Master...

Master...

Third step, force-fed water

Fourthly, electric shock

Finally, grab your master

No...

Hang on the wall

Let me down

Let me down, please

Then, against both of you

Stop...

Stop...

Go back

Help me

Save the man up there

It's master

Quick

Help me quickly

Save me, help

Come quickly

Father hold tight, I'll think of something

Quick

Father, hold tight

Pearl

What ?

Chun Hua, it's my fault. I lied

This is not my home

Nancy's brother lives here

My father won't let me tell you

Who is your father ?

Him

Old Lau ?

Child

Let go. Useless

So you're Old Lau's daughter ?

Why didn't you tell me ?

You made me go through all that trouble

Get me down quickly

Who is this ?

My father

I'll think of something right away

Be careful

Uncle

Chun Hua, who is this ?

She is the one I wanted you to meet

Miss Pearl Lau

Old Lau's daughter

Yes

I like her

Couldn't imagine the master has agreed

Please don't doubt, my dear audience

I'll tell you the reason behind it

Pearl looks like young master's mom

That's why master likes her at first glance

Old Lau, I was wrong

Pearl, I should have met you earlier

Chun Hua, marry her quickly

All's well that ends well

Everyone is happy

And bless this couple

If only everybody could hold the wedding ceremony

... so you will have this great joy

Chau Ping, I have decided to marry you

Nancy, I'll always love you...

Wait, Nancy

Chau Ping

Nancy, we don't agree

unless you marry me

Please marry me...
