Eleventh Night

The Sealed Mistake

What the heck is this?!

Hey, Qawool... Did you see what I just saw?

What is inside of this?

Come.

H-Hey! What're you doing?!

Makoto!!

It's okay.

Please be careful, Master Makoto!

Who else besides us knows the evocation?

Make way! From here on, I'm the star!

You stay there with them.

Wh... Why are you saying that?!

Hey, you.

If anything happens to Makoto...

...you won't get off lightly.

Keep walking.

I'm finally here.

It's the same.

The construction is exactly the same.

But what is it doing in this world?

Long time, no see!

W... Who's there?!

My name is Arjah.

I've been looking forward to meeting you for a long time, Makoto Mizuhara.

How do you know my name?

That laboratory filled with junk sure brings back memories...

There wasn't even room to walk in there.

Huh?!

But, too bad. You were only one step away...

...from revealing the secret behind the Eye of God.

The Eye of God? Just who are you?

Gilda, the fun is only just beginning.

Cease the presentation.

You are to enter the next level immediately.

Gilda, did you know about that old man?

Makoto Mizuhara.

You will use that ability of yours...

... to find the control password for the Spring of Life.

Control password?

The sacred words.

Unchain me at once!!

You're pretty cheeky for a bug!

Damn. If it wasn't for that stupid Fatora, I'd waste these losers!

Miss Shayla-Shayla!

Argh!! What could they be doing in there?!

Gilda, listen to me!

This energy furnace known as the Spring of Life is the Eye of God itself!

If this thing is activated...

Do it, or your friends are dead.

What just happened?!

Qawool! Go get Fatora while you can!

A bug!

Hey! What are you hesitating for?!

Blast that silly bug to Kingdom Come already!

Miss Shayla!

Where am I?

What is this?

You must not come here.

Who are you?

The mistake must not repeat itself.

What?

Go back. And never come back to this place again.

What's this?

Go!

Makoto Mizuhara... There it is.

Read those words.

I can't!

Look at them!!

If I look at them, the Eye of God will be activated!

Look at the words, Makoto Mizuhara!

These are the sacred words...

"When a maiden..."

"...descended from Heaven with the very light of day..."

"...is cast into eternal slumber..."

G... Gilda, no!

"...the land will prosper."

N... No! The door can't open!

Makoto Mizuhara.

Your usefulness is at an end. Now you will die.

That's not Gilda's voice!

Makoto!!

Master Makoto!!

I get it... So that's what it was.

Makoto! What did you do?!

Isn't that...

...the device with the strange power?

Now that you mention it, this thing was glowing in Makoto's room, too...

I remember now! That was when you two were...

Honestly! This breach of manners is completely unforgivable!

Who the heck does she take me for, anyway?!

Ooh...

This is a real beauty.

Hey, Makoto...

What is this thing?

It's the seal of the Eye of God.

Th...

The Eye of God?!

Whoops!

That was close!

You moron! It could have exploded or something!!

Who cares?! Get rid of that horrible thing at once!!

H-Hey, Makoto... You hold it!

It's okay, Shayla.

It may be a part of the Eye of God...

...but this is just the circuit used to stop it. It won't explode.

What's going on in here?

That's right!

I think you were in sync with this device...

...because you're the great priestess of water.

Because... I'm a priestess?

I think that the great priestesses of Muldoon...

...probably use this device to place the seal on the Eye of God.

But... why me and nobody else?

H... How can this be?

Makoto... What's going on?

Oh, my God! It's starting to activate for real!

Now what're we gonna do?!

But, the Eye of God should come with two safety features...

In the case of this Eye of God, which is called the "The Spring of Life",

it requires sacred words, as well as someone with a special genetic pattern to chant them.

Fatora?!

Hey!! What are you doing?!

Unhand me! Unhand me at once!!

Put me down! Put me down, you brute!!

How do you like that, Makoto Mizuhara?! I took this woman!

Now the Eye of God is mine!!

What does he think he's doing?!

Hey, Makoto! Do you think that Fatora can activate this Eye of God?

If Fatora and the emperor have the same genetic pattern, she might.

Got it. I'll go get Fatora back!

You and Qawool go after that Gilda chick!

Miss Shayla?

That dirty creep...

This time he's really in for it!

How is it?

Milady Gilda, the energy levels are rising abnormally fast!

That is fine.

Now, I want you to raise the energy levels to critical.

Do it!

Yes, sir!

Letting Fatora escape me was a mistake. However...

Gilda...

...you utter fool.

You will stop this folly at once.

Dall Narciss...

I will read your genetic pattern.

Yes... I thought as much...

Gilda...

Don't tell me you opened the sealed door!

Gilda!

Stop this at once!

Are you mad?! I told you to stop!

The energy levels have reached critical!

What?!

Watch out!!

Emperor!

Gilda, what have you done?!

What are you two... still doing in the castle?

Die.

Stop it!!!

What is that?!

The shadow from earlier!

Gilda!

What was I...?

Dall!

I... I can't have!

Gilda... Have you regained your senses?

What... What have I done?!

Hang on!

Quickly! Call in the medical team!!

Sir!

I... tried to activate the Spring of Life.

But, I only did it because I feared for this country's future...

It's all right. What's done is done.

M-Milady Gilda! The Spring of Life has reached critical point!

That's absurd! I haven't analyzed the emperor's genetic pattern yet!

Makoto... Mizuhara...

Yes?

I was inside of the Spring of Life with you...

So, that was you after all.

And I chanted the sacred words...

But, how? I'm not a member of the royal family...

How could I chant the sacred words?!

Gilda...

I still haven't told you...

...why you came to be married into this country.

Your genetic pattern is the same as the one in my own family.

That can't be!

If that's true, and she chanted the holy words...

The Spring of Life will come to life!

Dall! Why didn't you tell me?!

I...

I...

...didn't want to get you involved.

I...

It's the Spring of Life!!

It can't take anymore!

Th... That's right!

This! We can use the sealing circuit!

Sealing... circuit?

If we can only load this into the Spring of Life's power chamber...

...before it becomes fully activated...

If this fails to stop it, what will become of Creteria?

This civilization will meet the same fate as the ancient El-Hazard.

Where are you taking me?!

Damn! Who constructed this confounded castle?!

And what is this ungodly vibration?!

Argh! It's cold out here!!

Go back inside the castle this instant!!

Be quiet! You are the hostage, and I make the demands!!

What is that there?!

The Eye of God is a weapon which destroys those who try to use it.

Does this mean... that all I've done is lead Creteria to its own ruin?

A huge shadow has appeared directly above the castle!!
