I hope you're doing absolutely awesome today.

Oh, we're here at the Wonders Theater in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

We're setting up for some kind of awesome show, I'm assuming.

There's some crazy stuff here.

I don't know. Oh, look at this stuff right here.

What is this?

Tubes and a bunch of liquid.

Looks kind of like it's got soap in it.

Oh, look.

I think I know what this is.

Let's see.

Oh, yeah. Watch.

Oh, it's a bubble.

Oh, there's bubbles.

This is really, really cool.

Hey, Handyman Hal.

Look. Thanks for setting up the show for me. Oh, for real?

This is my friend Blaze. How are you, sir? I'm doing great. How are you? I'm

great. Oh, shoot.

What kind of show is this? Or what's it called? It's got something to do with

bubbles, I know. This is Spears Bubble Show, the Expand the Universe Tour.

Oh, wow, this is really, really cool. So you do all kinds of really cool

bubbles. Amazing sculptures out of bubbles. We put people inside of

wow. It's really, really cool. Oh, this is amazing.

Well, can you show me kind of what's something that you do? Absolutely. I'll

show you one of my favorite bubbles. I call this one the merry -go -round.

Merry -go -round?

Kind of like with the little animals and stuff that spin around?

Exactly. Oh, that's really, really cool.

It's like, what is that?

This is our bubble wand.

So I'm going to be making everything, all the sculptures off of this bubble

right here. So you use a tube.

Oh, wow.

He's blowing in the tubes to make a bubble. Oh, there's two bubbles

disconnected.

I'll see if I can even do a double merry -go -round.

That's even cooler.

Oh, wow, look at that.

That's amazing. Three bubbles.

So now I'm going to add the ring around both of these bubbles.

He's even got a smaller tube. Can you see that?

Watch. He's making smaller bubbles.

Oh, that's totally awesome.

So that's the first one. Let me try the second.

And it just dangled there.

Oh, that's really cool.

Oh, wow.

Look at that.

And now I'm going to try and add a little bit of fog.

But it gets really, really heavy.

This is my fog machine.

Oh, wow.

Look at that.

Oh, look. Oh, he's like a bubble on the inside.

Oh, this is amazing.

Oh, look at that.

Oh, and it's changing colors. And now we're going to make it spin.

Oh, wow.

Oh, look.

Oh, that is totally amazing.

Can you see that, my friend?

It's like a merry -go -round.

I'll see if I can make it go opposite direction. Oh, let's see.

Oh, that's awesome.

This is going really fast, too.

Oh, wow. Look at that.

Whoa.

Isn't that cool?

Oh, wow, my friend. Isn't this awesome?

Mr. Blaze, you are amazing.

So what is your official title working with these bubbles?

Well, a lot of people call me the Bubble Master.

Oh, the Bubble Master. That's great. How long have you been doing this for?

Well, I started this professionally at 12 years old, and I've done over 1 ,000

shows in my career all across the country.

So you know.

That's a lot of bubbles. That is a lot of bubbles. Oh, wow.

So, I really, really, really like tools. I see you've got some really cool tools

here. Tell me about them. All sorts of cool tools. We've got these really nifty

bubble wands. We've got tans with our bubble solution. That's cool. This is

of my favorites. It's our fog machine that I use to actually put smoke inside

bubble. That's pretty cool. And I even have these bubble glasses.

Over glasses?

I'm not sure about those. The only bad thing about doing this is I've developed

a rare eye condition where I have to put these on to be able to see.

So hold on, I'll show you really quick.

Oh!

What is that?

No!

There we go.

Wow, that's awesome.

It looks a little funny, but it's really cool.

See, those are the eyeballs.

Wow! That's really cool.

Bubbles are totally awesome.

I've got some other really cool ones I can show you. Okay, yeah, sure. Well,

name of my show is Spears because bubbles are spherical.

But right now, I'm going to try and make a bubble cube.

Ooh. A square bubble?

Oh, wow.

Look at there.

So I'm going to start by stacking two bubbles.

And then I'm going to make four bubbles around it.

Oh, wow.

Oh, it's almost kind of like the merry -go -round.

Exactly. But then if I put a bubble right in the middle of it, it has no

but to become a perfect cube.

Oh, wow.

Look at that.

And it's really cool. If you pop all the bubbles around it, that cube in the

middle actually turns into a sphere again.

Oh, wow.

Here, I've got one more really cool bubble. This is one of my all -time

favorites. I call it the tornado.

A tornado of bubbles?

Yeah, it actually forms a vortex inside of the bubble.

Oh, this is going to be really interesting.

Wow, look at that one.

That's a huge pipe that you're using. You've got to break out the big tube for

this one.

Oh, wow.

A little fog in the bottom.

And then I've got to get the vortex going.

So he's blowing air on the inside to spin it around? To make it spin.

And then it takes just a moment to form.

And it's spinning. Oh, can you see it?

There it is. That's the tornado. That's amazing.

It's like a little tornado inside of a bubble.

That's really amazing. And look, you can see the fog is coming out of the top.

Oh, that's really awesome.

So those are some of our bubble sculptures, but would you like to see

bubbles? Oh, yes. For that, I have a human assistant named Z who's going to

help, and he makes some otherworldly bubbles.

That's going to be awesome.

Oh, look, here comes Z.

Um, that's an alien.

Yep. Well, no, he's our human assistant, remember?

Oh, wow, and he's going to make some bubbles? He's going to make some big

bubbles. Oh, that's going to be awesome.

See, that's one of our wands we call the sun wand.

Oh, wow.

Isn't that cool?

It's like a snake of bubbles.

Oh, that's great.

Oh, and he's going to do this side, too. Oh, check that out.

That's amazing.

That's a lot of bubbles.

I'll help them out. I'll make some even bigger bubbles.

Oh, wow. What is that?

This is our wand we call the web.

And this makes huge bubbles.

Oh, I can't wait to see this.

Oh, this is going to be great.

Oh, wow.

Those are huge.

See, we even make bubbles big enough to put people inside of a bubble. Oh, wow.

Check that out.

So when we were on America's Got Talent, I put Tyra Banks inside of a bubble,

tons of other celebrities.

In fact, would you like to go inside of a bubble?

Wow. That would be amazing.

Oh, awesome. Let's do it. Awesome.

All right, handyman Hal, I'm going to have you step right in the center of

ring for me and put your feet together and arms by your side.

Very good. So it might take a few tries, but we'll do it until we get a good

bubble. Look, it's like a huge ring down there.

All right. On the count of three, you ready?

Yeah, let's go.

One, two, and three. We have Handyman House inside of a bubble.

Oh, this is awesome.

Wow. That was amazing.

This is a roller coaster, and we get to work on it today. We got to get it ready

for the day at work here.

It's like riding in a shark's mouth.

Look, you can even see the teeth.

Oh, that's really cool.

Awesome. And you can sit on either side.

There's two seats on this side, and there's two seats on this side.

Oh, that's cool.

One, two, three, four.

They've got four carts.

Oh, wow, look.

It goes all the way over that way.

It comes up over the top and all the way back down.

This looks really awesome.

Have you ever been on a roller coaster before?

They're amazing.

Well, we've got our tools.

Come on. Let's go get to work.

This is the first thing we've got to work on. Come here.

This is the tire motor.

Oh, yep.

There's 11 on this track.

We've got our socket wrench here.

We've got to make sure most of these bolts are tight.

Oh, yep.

Oh, there we go.

And right there. That one's good.

Oh, yeah.

So you know how these work?

These motors actually spin these tires.

Oh, yeah.

And that's what helps the cart and the coaster get up the incline all the way

up. Starts way down here, and it goes all the way to the top. It's really,

really cool.

Let's check this one right here.

Oh, yeah.

We've got to make sure that these wheels can actually turn.

Oh, yeah.

Oh, there we go.

Oh, that's perfect.

Here's the next thing we've got to check.

It's the actual cart itself. Look here.

On each cart, it has a set of wheels.

The top, on the side, and on the bottom.

And this is actually what holds the cart to the track.

Now this is a tube track.

It's got one on this side, and it's got one on the other.

Can you see the wheels on that one?

Oh, yeah.

You got that?

It's really interesting.

It's up underneath here.

Can you see this mechanism in the center?

This actually causes the cart to spin.

Not only does the coaster go up and down, the cart actually spins on the

Right there.

Tighten that.

Oh, that's perfect.

Oh, right here. Yep, we got to get this one ready. Yep.

That's good.

Yep. And one more right here.

Perfect. All right, now. Woo!

For our test run, we've got to put all the light bars down.

And the last one, it's really important that we have lap bars.

That way, it keeps you nice, safe, and secure in your seat while the ride is in

motion. Oh, yeah. Come on.

This ride is so much fun.

And this is how we control it. The operator sits right here.

And he uses this control panel.

And he's got all kinds of really cool stuff on it. He's got buttons. He's got

switches.

There's even an emergency stop button right there.

Got keys to turn it on. And these switches actually open and close

And the lap bars. It's really cool.

Well, we've got to sit in for our test run first.

Got all the lap bars down.

And we should be good to go. Here we go.

All right. And there it goes.

Oh, wow.

We got it.

Can you see it? Looks like it's working great.

And can you see these carts?

They're spinning.

And the tires look like they're working really well.

Yep. It's getting them to the top of the incline. Oh, wow.

And down it goes.

This is great.

I think we did an awesome job fixing this.

Can't wait to ride it.
