I wanted to live a life of leisure and idleness,

but I never expected

my father to suddenly pass away and

the throne

to fall to me.

But I'm a woman!

What if someone finds out? I need help

urgently

!

Oh no! Oh no! My lord, oh no!

The princes are not satisfied

! The

late emperor passed the throne to you!

They're arguing at the entrance of the main hall!

Hurry

, hurry, hurry!

How could my father possibly pass the throne to Xiao Jiu?

He's just a cowardly, incompetent good-for-nothing! Does he

deserve to inherit the throne

? This edict

is definitely fake!

My father's edict is here

! It even has the imperial seal

on it! Let's see who dares to say it's fake!

Father...

"Quickly summon Imperial Physician

Xiao Jiu!

You must

safeguard

the empire

and stabilize the court

for me

! Father , you must persuade

your worthless brothers

to stop killing each other. Your son is incompetent

and fears he

will fail

your trust

, but he

will do his utmost.

This glass pendant

can help you find

someone to protect you for life.

You must

cherish it

! Father

, Father , Father,

Father

...

You, a useless

good-for-nothing

, dare to flaunt your power here with a fake

imperial edict? Regent of the Nine Provinces... He

's famously expressionless

, yet damnably handsome,

even when he's expressionless,

he's still so dashing..." I wonder

how handsome he would be

if his expressions were vivid.

The late emperor's edict is here

! Who dares to question it?

Kneel down immediately!

Long

live

the Emperor ! Long live

the Emperor!

Long live

the Emperor! Long live the Emperor !

I have been placed in this position

not only because of the Regent,

but also because of my ambitious brothers.

I can't control them either.

Perhaps I should take the initiative to make peace and

cling tightly to the Regent's leg.

Send a message to the Regent

saying, "I want to see him.

Remember

, do it

secretly."

"Your Majesty,

what brings you to me?

Please sit, my dear

minister . I

need you.

My elder brother

is eyeing the throne covetously.

I am isolated but have no complaints.

If no one helps me..." If you do this,

you might

not even see the sun rise tomorrow.

I need

your alliance

to break this deadlock . Your

Majesty, may you have good fortune.

Oh,

Your Highness, you can't leave!

My father once said

he would assist me.

Do you want to betray his spirit in heaven?

Besides,

no one else can help me anymore. I

never do

anything that doesn't benefit me.

If I help you,

what will I gain?

In front of outsiders,

I'm the boss,

you're second.

But when no one else is around,

I'm second,

you're the boss

, okay?

Your Highness

, I really don't want to die.

If you promise me,

I'll do anything you ask. " I'll

do anything,

I didn't mean to.

Help me up!

You...you hurt your back!

I'll go get the imperial physician,

but I can't go.

If people find out I'm injured,

the Third and Sixth Princes will definitely take the opportunity to cause trouble, and

the court

will become even more turbulent.

Hmm

...

Your Highness ,

I didn't expect that the usually

powerful and dignified ruler of the Nine Provinces,

with his unparalleled martial arts skills

, is actually a weakling. He

fainted just from being pressed down by me

. He actually suffers from a stubborn headache.

How pitiful

! Yes,

he has this weakness.

So, manipulating him

is a piece of cake.

I know

what to use to make a deal with him. Wake

up!

This little good-for-nothing usually

likes to read all sorts of random books.

He wouldn't have done anything to me, would he?

Your Highness suffers from headaches

and can't sleep at night when they flare up

.

How did you know I have a headache?

I can help you.

This pill

can relieve Your Highness's headache.

Your Highness can know

if I'm lying to you

after taking it

. Do you think I'm a three-year-old child?

You think you can make me believe you

with just one pill

? I'm about to cling to Your Highness's leg!

Your Highness is still wondering

if I poisoned you.

Why should I take the remaining half?

This Ninth Prince looks soft..." He

's not stupid at all;

he knows how to use the most direct method of exchange.

Perhaps

he's more worthy of my assistance and more interesting

than I imagined.

Rumors circulate that

the Ninth Prince is a good-for-nothing who only knows how to eat,

drink, and be merry, waiting to die.

I never expected

him to be so skilled in medicine!

These medicines

can only alleviate

Your Highness's headaches.

If Your Highness agrees to cooperate with me

, I'm confident I can

cure your headaches at their root

. Medicine is an essential skill for survival in the palace.

I was thinking that if my secret were ever exposed,

I could take my mother and run away,

relying on my medical skills and the properties I'd previously acquired

—that wouldn't be too bad. "I was starving to death on the street

in no time, and my headache

actually subsided.

This Ninth Prince is indeed hiding some skills.

I will follow the

late Emperor's edict to protect the Emperor,

but

I advise the Emperor

not to play tricks.

I can protect you,

but I can also cripple you.

I'm keeping a close

watch on

their movements.

Father

,

if

you knew I was a girl,

would you still have passed the throne to me?

Your Highness, how dare you

! I can do even bolder things . Damn it,

why did I dream of

doing such shameful things

with Quan Jiuzhou

?

Have I been reading too many erotic novels?

I not only had a wet dream,

but I also mistook that little good-for-nothing for a girl.

It's absurd!

Jiang Yunxi,

you must take responsibility for me!

Don't kill me!

Quan Jiuzhou discovered I was a girl

and came to expose me.

Or does he really have a special fetish?

Hey,

Regent, what are

you doing?

The Emperor injured my back.

Shouldn't he take responsibility?

I will take responsibility

! Jiang Yunxi,

concentrate!

What are you thinking about? "

An ordinary person would have cried out in pain long agony,

but Quan Jiuzhou remained silent

. He's a ruthless man!

I've never been close to women.

Could

it be that I have

homosexual tendencies?

Now, treat my headaches.

If Your Highness helps me resolve the

issues with my third and sixth brothers,

I will treat your headaches

. Why should I help you?

You are the Regent!

It's only right that the acting prince takes charge of the government.

Besides,

it's time to teach them a lesson.

You ask me for help,

so I'll help you?

If Your Highness agrees to help me,

this medicine

will be Your Highness's,

enough for a while.

However,

this medicine can only relieve the symptoms.

After it's done

, I will treat Your Highness's headache

. You 're playing with me.

I agree to help Your Highness treat your headache

on the condition that Your

Highness helps me

govern the country .

I originally thought Your Highness

was a man of his word.

If Your Highness had readily agreed just now,

I certainly wouldn't be like this.

But seeing the scene just now,

I need to think about it some more

. This good-for-nothing is really a

cunning little

devil. I hate being threatened the most. Do you really think that

all the doctors

in the world

are dead?

I will definitely beg you.

Over the years,

how much money has Your Highness spent

hiring so many famous doctors

, and what have been the results?

Your Highness knows.

And does

Your Highness's back

still hurt?

Whether you agree or not

is up to you

. Your Highness

can decide for yourself.

I have to go to court.

Alright,

Your Highness will help you.

The Third Prince, the Sixth Prince

, and several other officials have broken into the palace without permission.

Please go to the Imperial Study immediately.

Your

Highness.

"How can this be? This is outrageous

!

My lords,

Xiao Jiu is a cowardly, weak-

minded good-for-nothing.

How could Father possibly

pass

the throne to him? Although Father despises the

deposed

Crown Prince, he dotes

on the Crown Prince's eldest son,

Jiang Yuxi.

Father personally instructed him

to make him

the Crown Prince

's eldest grandson. Jiang Yuxi,

indeed !

This is the real will.

Father truly intends to pass

the throne to my nephew, Jiang Yuxi.

My lords, you

must obey Father's last wishes

and uphold justice for Yuxi.

Jiang Yunxi,

when Father passed away,

you were alone in the palace.

You must have coerced Father

into passing the throne to you.

Arrest Jiang Yunxi and

throw him in the death row.

Who dares to touch me?

Then tell me, where did

this will

come from?

Naturally, it came from Father's palace.

There are two copies now." One of the wills

must be fake.

Why not present both wills

to the entire court

and have

the scholars of the Hanlin Academy

examine them together?

That would be more convincing

.

I have already seen

the wills of

the Third Prince

and the Sixth Prince.

Ninth Prince,

you have always been indifferent to politics. Why not

voluntarily relinquish your position and become a

leisurely prince ? You

could preserve your life.

The handwriting on the will

is indeed

identical to that

of the late emperor

, but in reality, someone is merely

imitating

his handwriting .

What makes you claim it's a forgery? Because I

am the regent personally

appointed by the late emperor

! Haha,

the Prince of Power wouldn't

become a fool

overnight just by assisting a useless little thing,

would he? So

,

Jiang Yunxi,

what have you done to the Third Prince?

I am just a useless little thing;

what

could I possibly do to the Third Prince

? I guess

the Third Prince

wanted to put

on a show of being useless

for everyone . The little good-for-nothing looks honest,

but I didn't expect him to have so many

tricks

up his sleeve.

He's quite

capable. Even if the handwriting is fake

, the seal on the edict

is real , isn't it?

Bring him up and

kneel down! It was

the Sixth Prince who ordered this servant

to steal the imperial seal and stamp

it! You

dog of a servant

dares to slander me!

I'll kill you if I don't!

Stop! Third Prince

, Sixth Prince

, you're both confused!

Forging an edict

is a capital offense!

What do you want to do with it?

Your Highnesses

, take the Third Prince and Sixth Prince

away!

Your Majesty ,

when you were young, your

Sixth Prince often bullied you.

You should have him executed!

You're talking

nonsense! You clearly ordered me

to hold him down in the bucket

, and now you're turning the tables on me!

Your Third Prince

once urinated in your mother's

cup!

You should have him killed!

What kind of behavior is this? Your

Highness,

the two princes are injured.

Why don't we send them to

the Imperial Hospital for treatment? Let

's discuss the matter after they heal.

Jiang Yunfeng and Jiang Yunyi

were imprisoned

for treason

and rebellion ,

with no one allowed to visit them.

Release them!

Release them! My

two princes deliberately fought and

injured themselves

to gain

the Emperor's sympathy

and lessen their punishment.

The Emperor saw through

their tricks

at a glance and showed no mercy

. They are promising talents!

Ministers,

just now

you, along with

the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince,

committed

treason. I don't understand,

are you all

blind and unable

to distinguish right from wrong

, or are

you also

harboring treacherous

intentions and plotting to seize power?

Your Highness, you are too kind. You

have also been deceived.

Ministers,

do you have any objections

to a two-year salary reduction

? The day after tomorrow

is the late Emperor's funeral

and the enthronement ceremony

.

Is the Emperor prepared?

With Your Highness here,

what do I have to worry about

? Please , Your Highness

, summon my mother.

Your Majesty

trusts me

so much

, aren't you afraid

I'll use Consort Jia's

life as leverage to

manipulate you?

Who in the court doesn't know that you, Prince,

hold considerable military power

and are ambitious

? If you

truly intended to rebel

, would you need to resort to such measures?

Your Majesty,

since you possess such

a clear mind

and decisive judgment

, why

did you previously feign a

weak and incompetent little good-for-nothing?

If I hadn't pretended, I

would have been cannon

fodder in the battle for the throne long ago,

and wouldn't be alive now.

Brother Jiuzhou

, I beg you, release my sixth brother!

As long as you release my sixth brother,

I'm willing to do

anything .

If you, Brother Jiuzhou,

are willing to release my sixth brother,

I'll repay you with my body!

Benyu has no interest in you.

The Sixth Prince

forged the imperial edict

and deserves to die.

Moreover, it

wasn't me

who imprisoned him

, but the Emperor.

The person you should be asking

is Quan

Jiuzhou. He did it on purpose.

He

's a good-for-nothing

. You are the Regent.

Releasing the Sixth Prince

is just a matter of your word.

That good-for-

nothing wouldn't dare disobey you.

The good-for-nothing you're talking about

is my

good-for-nothing.

I advise you to be sensible and

release my Sixth Prince.

What do you want me

to do? Send you to the dungeon

to reunite with your Sixth Prince

. Brother Jiuzhou,

he's bullying me.

Help me!

Get away from me!

I feel disgusted just looking at you.

It must be that good-

for-nothing

Jiang Yunxi

who spoke ill of me

to Brother Jiuzhou that makes him hate me. My

father is really senile

to pass the throne to

this good-for -nothing.

Brother Jiuzhou

, you are wise and mighty.

How can you assist

such a lowly person

with a brain full of weeds?

You

should lock him

up with dogs

and make him fight with them for food.

Slap him.

The Sixth Princess is, after all

, a princess.

Your Highness This is

too rude!

I remember

she loved to eat

this. Give it

to her!

You forced me to drink water before

, now

I'm just giving you a taste of

your own medicine.

You dare to humiliate me?

I'll make you suffer a terrible death!

She won't eat,

so I'll force her to eat!

This is absurd

!

Protect the

Emperor ! Seize the assassin!

Follow me! They've come!

Who is the mastermind this time?

Nephew

, you must protect me!

Ninth

Uncle, don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you!

If Jiang Yuxi is plotting to assassinate me,

the assassins will not dare to shoot arrows again!

Nephew, you've been shot!

Quickly summon the

Imperial Physician!

The arrow is poisoned;

the Prince must be given an antidote immediately

! Hurry

and send the Prince to the Imperial Hospital!

These assassins are all

skilled archers!

Who

sent you to assassinate the Emperor?

These people are all death

squads! Your Highness

, who do you

think is

behind this

assassination attempt?

In my opinion

, it's most likely

the work of my

Third and Sixth Princes.

The Third and Sixth Princes

are indeed suspects

, after all, they have

been imprisoned for many days

... People would

n't suspect them;

instead, they became

their cover.

There's another suspect

—

Jiang Yuxi.

But if he's the mastermind,

why did he

shield me from that sword

and nearly lose his life?

He didn't expect

the Emperor to hide behind him,

so

he just went along with it . Your

Majesty, what are you doing

? Treating

the Prince's head?

Untying the hair

is something only my wife

can do.

Untie the hair

, comb it first

, then do acupuncture.

This will promote

blood circulation

and improve the effect.

If you mind,

then untie it yourself.

This hair

is like silk

, so black, shiny, and smooth!

How many pounds of black sesame seeds

did you eat ? This hair quality is simply too good!

It would sell for hundreds of taels of silver

in

the city's

wig shops

. Who

usually helps the Prince with his hair

? There are servants.

Now

it's changed to

my mother,

the most beautiful woman in the country.

The scene of her dressing

her son up beautifully

every day for court

must be quite a sight!

I'm about to... "Your

Majesty is so young,

whose medical skills

did you acquire?

You read medical books

and then bought pork to tie your hair up

. I hope Your Majesty

doesn't mistake me for

pork.

Your Highness, after you return,

you can drink mint leaf tea

to clear heat and soothe your nerves.

You can go back now.

Help me put on

my hair. Your Highness, didn't you just say

that untying and binding hair

is something only your wife

can do?

I've thought about it carefully.

Your Majesty is a man,

so it's alright

. Your Highness, what are you doing?

I'm being presumptuous. Has

he already guessed

I'm a woman?

In any case,

I must keep this secret.

I'll let it go because Your Highness's headache flared up

and you lost

control

for a moment

, but this is a one-time exception.

I'll return to my palace now.

" "Your Majesty, your appearance is handsome,

and your figure

is more slender than ordinary men.

Even your words and actions

exude a woman's

delicate grace.

Could

it be impossible?

If Your Majesty is truly a woman,

how did He Wen

manage to deceive the late Emperor and

the palace servants?

I've truly fallen in love with

a man."

No,

I must go back and

investigate further.

Why have you returned?

His Majesty is bathing.

Please wait outside the palace

for a moment.

Go and

serve His Majesty.

This glass pendant

is exactly the same as the one the late Emperor gave me.

Your

father

and I

are brothers who have entrusted ourselves to each other in life and death

. We have

saved each other's lives.

This glass pendant

is a testament to our brotherhood.

Now

that my

time is up, my

beloved

, as a father ,

I beg you

to

stabilize

the court

and protect the new emperor.

Your subject

obeys.

I dreamt earlier that I

was doing intimate things with His Majesty.

Could

His Majesty be a woman

? Fortunately, I

wore a white cloth while bathing.

I didn't cover myself up,

so this might dispel any

such thoughts. "

Your Majesty,

what is your intention in

breaking into my bedchamber at night

? Why are you wrapped in a white cloth

? You were injured recently

and haven't fully recovered.

Do you want me to remove the white cloth

so Your Majesty can see?

Your Majesty's chest is flat,

no different from mine. I'm

overthinking it.

There's no need.

I've come today

mainly to inquire about

Your Majesty's sleep lately.

Have you dreamt of any

strange people or things?

With Your Majesty's protection,

I naturally

sleep soundly until dawn.

" He asked me if I had a dream

before he uncontrollably kissed me. "I

had the same dream as

him , but

how could I

have the same dream as him?

Your Majesty

, how dare you defile

the Emperor's body

? Get out now! Your Majesty

, although

you have now been cured of the poison..."

Your life is not in danger

, but you still need to rest.

You saved my life today,

and I have already bestowed upon you the title of Prince Yu

.

Your Majesty,

I thank you for your great favor ; this is all you deserve.

My third and sixth brothers sent assassins, and

I almost caused your death. I will not let them go. I beg Your Majesty to spare their lives.

They

must

have

been

misled

and

acted

rashly , not intending to harm Your Majesty.

I do not wish to harm them either

, as they are my brothers.

However, the Regent

is ruthless and

autocratic,

and

will certainly not let them go.

I am willing to share Your

Majesty's burdens

, cultivate my power

, win over

the hearts of the civil and military officials,

and take back the reins of power.

Very well,

then you must recover quickly

so you can help me.

Jiang Yu Xi,

no matter how well you hide it, you

will eventually reveal

your true colors.

Are you here to laugh at me?

Sixth Brother , you

're here to help me. Why

are you being so kind?

Third Brother

has already confessed to the Regent

that you were the mastermind behind

this fake edict

. The Regent

will definitely kill you

to stabilize the court.

Sixth Brother

, we are brothers,

I really can't bear to

see you suffer like this

. Nonsense

! The idea

was all from Third Brother.

He also had someone

imitate Father's handwriting to write

the fake edict .

Now he dares to shift the blame

onto me.

I want to argue with him.

The imperial seal on the fake edict

was also

stamped by a eunuch

he bribed.

How could I have come up with

such an idea?

Third Brother is the mastermind

. Brother,

please calm down.

I will handle

the matter

appropriately

and have him sign

the document.

Your Majesty has

a brilliant strategy!

Regent, what a coincidence that you are here too!

With a little trick

, you've

gotten these two to confess. But why am I the scapegoat?

Since we

are allies,

why should we care

who takes the blame?

Hahaha!

If I ever

need Your Majesty's help in the future,

Your Majesty cannot refuse.

So, how does Your Majesty plan

to deal with

the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince?

Regent,

what brilliant ideas do you have

? Punish them to guard the imperial tombs

and not return to the capital without being summoned.

This way, the hidden danger is eliminated

, and Your Majesty's

benevolence

is also demonstrated . It really is the Regent!

I admire you!

As a monarch,

you should have ruthless methods .

Your Majesty is always so soft-hearted,

which will inevitably leave hidden dangers.

I

have learned my lesson.

I will protect you.

Are you truly not

the woman from my dreams?

Why

do I feel so uneasy

every time I see you

? The prince is here!

He must be unwilling

to admit defeat

and will surely

make a comeback

. The day of the coronation ceremony

will be their best opportunity.

So, Your

Majesty

has already made preparations.

With the prince's security arrangements,

what do I have to worry about? It

's getting late.

I'll come to give you acupuncture.

Do you want to murder your husband?

How could I

say those four words?

It's absurd! Why

didn't I feel anything

amiss

when I said them?

He must have discovered that

I am a woman.

What should I do

? Your Majesty

, why is your waist

so thin

? It doesn't look like a man's at all.

You're talking

nonsense

. Men's waists

can be thick or thin. You must

have lost some weight

due to the recent busyness of state affairs.

I want to see Princess

Jiang Yunxi. Your Highness,

the Emperor has already rested.

Please come again tomorrow.

I insist on going in. How dare

you, a lowly palace maid

, stop me?

Your Highness, hide!

Why should I hide?

I, the dignified Regent,

have never hidden before!

Jiang Yunxi,

what right do you have to punish my sixth brother

by making him guard the imperial tomb?

Just because I am the emperor , I hold the power of life and death

over the world

! You're just a useless little

brat with a brain

full of Qishui water!

When has Father ever valued you?

How could you pass the throne to

anyone? Who did you pass it to?

Someone who forged the imperial

edict ?

Which of your brothers

isn't more capable than you

? You must have killed Father

and altered the edict!

I

will avenge Father and

reclaim the throne for my sixth brother!

Jiang Yunxi,

last time you forced me to drink water

and humiliated me!

Now you dare hit me

? Drag her out

! I'll fight you to the death!

You loved me like a precious jewel,

but today you've

wronged me terribly.

He will surely kill you for me,

Jiang Yunxi.

You just wait !

It seems Your Highness

values my sixth sister

very much.

You love her like a precious jewel,

so why don't you go and comfort her

? I wonder if

His Majesty has any other sisters

who look

remarkably like him?

Last time he took liberties with me,

and today he's testing me again.

Could it be that

he's already guessed

I'm a woman?

I have two other sisters

whose appearances

are quite different from mine.

If Your Highness wishes to bestow a marriage

upon me , I don't want

to think about it. It's because I

've been averse to women

for many years . Because I

spend so much time with the Emperor,

I can only dream

of him as a woman.

I must keep my distance from him

from now on to

avoid doing anything outrageous again.

What are you doing?

This soft armor is impervious to swords and spears;

it might

save your life

in a critical moment . This Regent seems

quite cold and

wary of people,

but after spending time with him,

he's actually quite humane.

The auspicious time

has arrived. Your Majesty

, offer incense and perform the sacrificial rites.

Your subject, now enthroned

, will be diligent in governing,

securing the country, and protecting the people.

I will not fail your trust, nor

the

country and its people.

You dog emperor,

go to hell!

With assassins

protecting you

, this golden silk soft armor

can indeed save your life.

I am the true Son of Heaven,

protected by my ancestors and the heavens and earth.

Anyone who dares to harm me

will be punished

by heaven. Take down

all the assassins

! Ying Buli

clearly warned herself

to keep her distance from him

, but she still

couldn't control her heart.

The Emperor's lips

are so soft.

Although the

golden silk soft armor

can block swords and spears, the impact

will damage the internal organs.

The Emperor's unconsciousness

must be due to internal injuries

; he must be treated with blood circulation and healing immediately.

The Emperor's body

is so slender

; it doesn't resemble

that of an ordinary man.

Quan Jiuzhou

, you are thousands of... What?

I 'm applying medicine for you.

I'm fine

now, no need to trouble you, Your Highness.

We're all men,

why are you

being so

coy?

You've already seen

my body . Now you're undressing

in front of me,

it's just a matter of courtesy.

Quan Jiuzhou

, you're being

presumptuous! If Your Majesty doesn't remove your robes,

something's definitely wrong.

There were assassins

! Luckily, we arrived in

time. If we had been any later

, Your Majesty's secret of being a woman

would have been exposed.

Your subordinate

is late, please forgive me

, Your Majesty . You kidnapped

me , how am I supposed to get back?

Your subordinate has thought of a good way

to get the Regent

to ransom you.

You write a letter and

prepare 200,000 taels of silver.

If you dare to play tricks,

you'll be fined .

Do as the letter says.

Your subordinate

obeys

. Isn't this the palace

pass? This

was

dropped by me when I fought with the assassin leader

. He's

the leader of the Shadow

Three Thousand.

How can he enter and leave the palace?

Don't you understand? Yes,

this is it!

I underestimated our Emperor.

The little good-for-nothing

in the eyes of the court officials

is actually

the mastermind behind the Shadow Three Thousand.

Your Majesty was kidnapped today, and

the thieves

extorted

300,000 taels

of silver from me.

Your Majesty must

settle accounts with me, right?

I tied myself up

and you still made a profit off me.

That heartless Quan Jiuzhou... It's

alright

,

Your Majesty, you can

pay me back in installments

. I will

pay back slowly. I will definitely find out

who assassinated

Your Majesty and who kidnapped Your Majesty today

. Dare to extort me

? I will make them wish they were dead.

Your Majesty

, are you injured?

Perhaps you've started your period.

We must not let him

find out anything. We must

quickly find a way to treat

this. I suffered a minor injury

and bled a little.

It 's nothing serious

. I'll apply

the best wound medicine

to Your Majesty. No need.

I'm really tired.

Your Highness, you

should go back first.

I'll go back now.

Hot water is ready.

This servant will serve you to undress.

You can go and get some flower petals

and wait at the door.

I don't like people disturbing me outside.

Your Majesty

has

refused to undress

several times.

Could

there be some hidden reason ?

It seems that Quan Jiuzhou

has begun to suspect me.

We must treat

his headache as soon as possible

and not allow him to come to my palace again.

Fortunately

, my talented mother

has already made me a fake one.

Oh, Your Majesty

has arrived! Long live the Emperor!

Long live the Emperor

! Long

live the Emperor!

Rise and

thank Your Majesty!

Your Majesty,

recently in the suburbs of the capital...

Multiple murders have occurred,

and it has been discovered

that a deranged serial killer is

preying on the people.

The Jingzhao Prefecture

has repeatedly sent investigators,

but

each wave has

suffered losses, and

no one dares to take on the case.

I humbly request

Your

Majesty's decision. Your

Majesty , I report

that the Minister of War

has secretly stolen ironware from the national treasury

, selling weapons forged by the court

to private ironworks.

Last year,

the Ministry of Works'

newly developed weapons

were replaced by him with

hundreds of large iron pots from Northeast China.

His crime deserves death. The

Governor of Dezhou

is audacious, openly

selling official positions

within his jurisdiction.

His greed

and utterly inhumane actions

are utterly

disregard for the law.

This is

a deliberate attempt to intimidate me, the new Emperor

.

Is there anything else you wish to report,

Lord Guo ?

You shall immediately depart

for Shanlin County

to oversee disaster relief efforts.

Li Da,

you shall thoroughly investigate

the case of the Minister of War stealing iron

and bring all those involved to

justice. Your Majesty,

please forgive

my recent leg problems.

Shanlin County is a long way off;

I beg Your Majesty

to select another capable person.

You seem quite

self-aware.

Since you consider yourself incompetent,

then you needn't wear

this official robe

anymore . Guards

, help him remove it

. Dismissed

from office and never to be employed again.

Your Majesty, Your

Majesty,

is there anyone else who considers themselves incompetent?

Step forward now. I

will not force

you.

If any other prince

were in this situation,

they would surely be in a panic.

Your Majesty dealt with Lord Guo

swiftly and decisively,

shocking the court

with your imperial wrath

. Your throne

is now half-secured. Are

there any other matters

to report?

Your

Majesty, I have discovered

that

the masterminds behind the assassination attempt at

the enthronement ceremony were none other than the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince.

They have been apprehended.

Regent ,

do you have concrete evidence?

If it

is merely speculation

, it

will hardly convince the public. I,

of course, have evidence.

This

is the assassin's confession,

along with his signature and fingerprint.

How could the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince

commit such

a fratricidal act ?

Is there a misunderstanding?

Bring

the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince

here. Do you

two princes confess to

the assassination attempt at

the enthronement ceremony

?

This

was indeed orchestrated by the two of us.

Quan Jiuzhou

, as long as you release me,

I will agree

to any conditions you have.

We

have mountains of gold and silver; we

will send them all to your residence.

Do I need your

meager rewards?

If the two princes

are willing to cooperate obediently,

I can even guarantee your safety

. If your family is safe and sound

, and you refuse to cooperate,

then your entire family will

be executed.

Jiang Yunfeng,

Jiang Yunyi

, you are members of the royal family,

yet you do not seek the well-being of the people, but

instead plot assassinations and disrupt

the court— your

crimes are heinous

. Out of consideration for blood ties, I

hereby demote you to commoners

and exile you to Lingnan

,

never to return to the capital.

Father

, my third and sixth brothers

have committed numerous crimes;

I cannot bend the law for personal gain

. Sparing their lives

is

the only thing I can do.

Jiang Yunxi,

Father's body is barely cold,

and you are already impatient

to punish my two brothers.

Father, if your spirit is in heaven, you

will surely... Punishing your

Feng'er is merely because he's

a bit too straightforward.

He had no intention of treason;

the talk of

forging an imperial edict

and assassination

is just a lie you fabricated

to secure your throne

and eliminate your rivals.

Your mother was born of low birth, a

vixen who used her charms

to give birth to such a

ruthless,

cruel, and ungrateful beast.

You'll get your retribution sooner or later.

Third and Sixth Princes,

are you going to

wipe us all out?

Jiang Yunxi,

if you don't retract your decree today,

I will lead the entire court

to the ancestral temple to kneel and beg Heaven

to strip

you of your throne.

The crimes

committed by my third and sixth brothers

are heinous and

the evidence is irrefutable.

You have distorted the truth

and committed treason.

You should be punished along with them

and sent to Lingnan.

It would be good for your family

to be reunited

. My sixth sister was the most vehement in her scolding

just now,

probably because she was reluctant to part

with her two brothers.

I will send someone to pack your bags

now , and we will depart today.

I don't want to go to

that barbaric land of Lingnan.

I haven't done anything wrong.

Why are you punishing me?

We haven't done anything wrong. Why

are you punishing us

?

The Regent's guards

will surely

tell him everything you said

. When he returns,

none of you will escape

. Let's go

!

The Regent's reputation

is comparable to that of a living Yama.

It's always effective. Your

Majesty, you've come at the right time

. The information

I've compiled

on the ministers details

their

achievements,

resumes ,

factions

, and personalities.

This will help Your Majesty

understand the court situation more quickly and

greatly benefit

your governance.

Thank you for your trouble

, Your Highness.

This is truly a timely help.

Your Majesty, you don't need to be so polite.

Oh, by the way,

I've already tracked down the assassins

who tried to kill the

Emperor and kidnapped me

a while ago . So fast?

These people are quite powerful.

I wonder if Your Majesty

has heard of

Shadow Three Thousand

? Shadow Three Thousand

is a rapidly rising

assassin organization

in the capital in recent years.

They are secretive and ruthless

, and their influence

has already infiltrated the court.

Letting them continue

is definitely not a good thing.

But Your Majesty, rest assured,

I will definitely send more

troops to

completely wipe them out

as soon as possible . Is he truly unaware

of Shadow Three Thousand's intentions

, or is he testing me?

Your Majesty, I

am guilty.

I seem to have inadvertently exposed myself.

How much have you exposed ?

Your Majesty, please calm down.

He

shouldn't know that you are

the mastermind behind

Shadow Three Thousand.

How

could he not know my background with Quan Jiuzhou's intelligence?

You underestimate

him

. Go and reflect on

your actions

. Also,

your salary for this month

has been deducted

!

Hurry up and go!

Quan Jiuzhou already knows

that I swindled him out of those

100,000 taels of silver.

Is it too late

to make amends ?

Your Majesty is

unusually generous today.

It's not good

to let the Prince spend money. It's not

that I'm imitating... A certain finger technique

for pressing the head

can treat headaches.

Why don't

we try it first

? Your Majesty's

hands are softer than a woman's.

I wonder

what it would feel like

to hold them

? My self-control

is getting worse and worse

. Your

Highness , I

have an idea.

Why not let the Shadow Three Gang

deal with that

perverted serial killer

in the outskirts of the capital?

Let them punish and kill

each other until their strength

is almost exhausted, then

Your Highness can clean up the mess.

Wouldn't that

save

time and effort?

If the Shadow Three Gang

can really

eliminate that perverted serial killer for the court,

wouldn't that be a great achievement?

It could atone for their crimes.

Then

Your Highness

could adjust their punishment

accordingly

, solving a hidden danger

for the court

and showing Your Highness's magnanimity.

Wouldn't that

be killing three birds with one stone

? Your Majesty seems

to know this Shadow Three Gang

quite well

and is exceptionally confident

. No,

I can't

support a perverted serial killer.

Has

Your

Majesty already investigated

the truth about the perverted serial killer in the outskirts of the capital

? Actually , there is no

killer at all.

It's the Seventh Prince, Jiang Yunran,

who is lewd and lustful, and

has repeatedly sent people

to Babao Village

to abduct young girls.

The villagers ,

having endured

the torture and death of the man,

finally

joined forces to kill the subordinate sent

by the prince

. They also feared retaliation from the Seventh Prince,

so

they fabricated

the name of a perverted serial killer

to cover it up.

How outrageous!

For a prince

to commit such

acts of rape, kidnapping, and cruelty against the people

is a disgrace to the royal family!

By imperial decree

, arrest the Seventh Prince

, Jiang Yunran, and

imprison him in death row

to await further judgment.

Ren Xuanxuan

is

my best friend of many years

, but she

doesn't know my true identity; she

only knows I use the alias Xiao Ruo

. If Jiang Yunran hadn't had his

subordinate take the blame

and escape punishment,

I wouldn't have had to

lure him into this trap.

I've long heard of the Ren family's eldest daughter's

beauty and charm;

seeing her today,

it 's indeed true. She

's taken the bait

! Stop them!

I'm here!

Xiao Ruo,

you're amazing!

This is hot and

exciting !

I like

it! What

are you waiting for?

Regent

! Hiss ! How could the Regent suddenly appear

? Hiss

!

Did he discover the Emperor?

You're injured!

Although this woman is wearing a veil

, her features

are exactly like

the woman in my dream.

I'm wearing a veil...

He recognized everything.

What are his eyes

made of?

Quan Jiuzhou,

are you insane?

How dare you lay a hand on me?

Quan Jiuzhou

, I am a prince of the current dynasty

! You dare hit me?

Aren't you afraid of

the Emperor's punishment?

Jiang Yunran,

do you think you

can hide your

crimes for long?

You've accepted bribes

, sold official titles, and

countless people

have suffered

at your hands. These

are all the evidence of your crimes.

That punch

was for

the girl you kidnapped in the street,

and that kick

was to seek justice for

the villagers of Babao Village

who suffered from your rape and kidnapping.

I

've long heard that the Seventh Prince

is no good, but

I never expected him to be so

utterly depraved

. Good for him!

He deserves

to be punished properly

. If it weren't for the Regent eliminating this scourge for the people

, who knows how many more girls

would have fallen victim to his cruelty.

The Regent is the savior of the people.

It's always been rumored

that the Regent is ruthless and bloodthirsty,

with a terrible reputation.

But what he did today

was to remove a cancer

from the royal family and stand up for the people.

Put Jiang Yunran in a death row cell

and keep her under strict guard,

awaiting the Emperor's judgment.

If she doesn't leave now,

when will she?

Xuanxuan,

I'm leaving first.

Quan Jiuzhou

, you wait!

I won't let your

girl

get away with this!

What's the name of

that lady

you were with just now

? Where does she live

? I thought he was doing a service to the people,

but it turns out

he 's taken a fancy to Xiaoruo.

Men are all the same,

they can't take their eyes off

pretty girls.

I don't know

that girl either. I

just met

her today

. Do you know the consequences of deceiving me?

I didn't lie to you,

I told you the truth.

As long as you're willing to tell me

her whereabouts

, I can assure you that

no one

will bother you from now on.

Your Highness,

I really don't know

that girl's background.

If you're destined to meet her

, maybe you'll see her again.

I hope you won't regret it.

Now

I can only use the excuse of visiting my mother

to provide an alibi

and dispel Quan Jiuzhou's suspicions.

Yes, that's what I said.

So

, it's settled.

My mother is

so happy.

Isn't that what I was talking about?

So, the late emperor

's title of concubine...

But I'm clearly very innocent,

hahaha.

I've long heard Jiuzhou say

that the emperor is extraordinary

. I have important matters to report,

please trouble the emperor and... I

'm moving to my study.

Important matters need my attention,

my son

. Oh,

my son! He

's always busy with official duties

and court affairs,

he has no sense of romance whatsoever.

No wonder he's so old

and still can't find a wife.

It's driving me crazy!

Why did Your Majesty leave the palace today ? I've

been busy with state affairs

these past few days

, so I came to see

you.

Your Majesty, have you heard

about the Seventh Prince's

abduction of a woman

in the street?

It's true! And not only that,

the Seventh Prince's crimes are countless. He 's been apprehended by

me and awaits Your Majesty's judgment.

Your Highness is stern and just

; I'm at ease.

From now on,

this matter

will be entirely handled

by Your Highness. You don't need to consult me.

Your Majesty must be hungry.

Have some pastries to tide you over;

the kitchen is already preparing the dishes.

It's getting late,

and I still have state affairs to attend to. I'll

return to the palace first.

I've prepared

Your Majesty's favorite braised pork hock,

so

I won't refuse.

These pastries are sweet but not greasy;

Your Highness, please try

some too. Your Majesty

, Your Highness, he

never eats sweets.

Your Highness

, I haven't had too much to drink

; I can still drink. Let's

continue

drinking

!

Alright, I'll go

get you another bottle of good wine.

Go quickly

and return quickly!

"Go,

Your Highness

. Have you noticed anything unusual?

The Emperor is

indeed a man.

I know.

Go back now. Yes

,

the Emperor really is a man.

It was just my wishful

thinking that I mistook him for

a woman. When the Emperor is asleep, he pouts

. Jiao Ting

, that's clearly the appearance of a woman.

I think I've fallen

for the Emperor.

So all these years, I've hated women

because I'm gay.

Ministers

, if you have something to report,

speak up. If not, court is adjourned. You

have been on the throne for some time

now

, but the harem

is still empty.

It's time to select a consort

to continue the royal family's

lineage.

Isn't it a bit too early

to select a consort now ?

Your Majesty,

it's not too early.

The late Emperor was older than you, and

the prince has already been born.

If Your Majesty

selects a consort,

not only will you fill the harem,

but you will also give birth to a prince sooner,

putting the court and the people

at ease.

This is a great thing! The

national mourning period is not over,

and I must observe

three years of mourning

for the late

Emperor.

Selecting a consort now

is unreasonable and

inappropriate.

Your Majesty, waiting

another three years

is too long. The crown prince

is the foundation of the country. Please select a consort,

Your Majesty. Alright,

I will consider it. "

The Regent Prince has asked for leave.

Then I will personally go to see

what important matter he has to

discuss. Please

consider

this matter. Yesterday,

I don't know what possessed

my son , he went out naked

and caught a cold

. I'm so sorry

to have troubled Your Majesty

to come and visit him personally.

I specially brought

some thousand-year-old ginseng

to nourish the prince.

Your Majesty is so kind.

It's time for your medicine, Zhou'er.

It's

bitter

. I won't drink it;

let me do it.

Please, Your Majesty,

sit with Zhou'er for a while.

I'll go and tell the kitchen

to prepare some snacks

. Take your medicine;

it will help you

recover faster.

Does Your Majesty

have any candy?

You're a grown man, why are you eating candy?

Your Majesty is also a grown man

, why are you carrying

candy ? Eat your candy!

Stop with the nonsense!

I'm not here today. Have

those old ministers made things difficult for

Your Majesty? They all want me

to choose a concubine soon.

I know choosing a concubine

can stabilize the court

and make those ministers submit to me

, but I

'm busy with state affairs.

I don't have time to deal with those concubines.

Your Majesty doesn't want to choose a concubine.

I'm very happy

and

gratified.

However,

this concubine selection is related to

the imperial succession,

and those old ministers

won't let it go easily.

Do you have a solution?

If Your Majesty

trusts me enough,

I can find some for you. As for

a woman who is absolutely safe,

then I will

trouble the Regent.

Ever since you agreed to select a consort, the Imperial

Household Department has sent

portraits of women from various families. Why are there so many?

Your Majesty, with your handsome appearance,

the daughters of officials in the capital

are naturally eager to be with you.

Xuanxuan has even participated in the selection.

Prime Minister Xiao requests an audience with Your Majesty.

You ascended

the throne

at a young age and

need a kind and considerate person,

and you also need the support of powerful families. This

old minister recommends

my own granddaughter,

Xiao Cailan.

If she is fortunate enough to become Empress,

my Xiao family will do everything in our power

to assist Your Majesty.

In the future,

Your Majesty will no longer be isolated and helpless

, and you can gradually

reduce the restrictions imposed on you by the Regent.

Miss Xiao is

exceptionally

talented

, and I

will certainly consider her carefully.

Your

Majesty , I

also have a secret matter to report.

The last person the late

Emperor saw before his death

was the Regent

, and he also

gave the Regent some tokens .

I dare to guess that

these tokens

can be used to execute tyrannical rulers

and ministers.

The Regent's power is too great

, and I fear he may have ulterior motives!

If Your Majesty

doesn't find a way to retrieve this item,

you might be in trouble.

Lord Xiao

is absolutely right

.

What token

did Father give the Regent?

Tonight,

I will investigate.

Today,

Prime Minister Xiao came

and recommended his granddaughter,

Xiao Cailan.

He also said something else.

He said that

if I made his granddaughter

Empress

, he would no longer be under your control

. Your Majesty is quite straightforward,

telling me everything.

Of course,

there's no secret between

me and the Prince.

Does Your Majesty feel

you're under my control?

How could it

be that I

chose the Prince willingly ? Your Majesty, you

little good-for-nothing, your words

are getting sweeter and sweeter.

My purge

has never failed.

I just don't know if

he'll carry the item with

him.

Your Majesty, are you trying to force yourself on me?

How did you wake up

? My internal strength is profound;

ordinary sleeping pills

will wake me up

in a moment

. But

if I didn't wake up,

what does Your Majesty intend to do to me

? " Your

Highness is a little sleepy

and has fallen asleep,

so I put you on the couch.

Why did Your Majesty remove my robes

? Do you think

I'd sleep more soundly

if you took them off

? What

else

could I be doing

? Do you

think

I have homosexual tendencies

? I don't know

if Your Majesty has homosexual tendencies.

I only know

that Your Majesty's behavior

is like that of

a tyrant harassing a man.

You dare

insult me as a woman!

I don't care whether

Your Majesty is a man or a woman.

I only know that

you removed my robes

and even bathed with me.

Then you must take responsibility for me!

Responsible my foot

! I am the Regent, the supreme

ruler!

Don't have any improper thoughts about me! What

if I

did have improper thoughts about Your Majesty?

Your Highness has truly

forgotten the pain of past wounds

and wants to experience

the power of the silver needles

again !

I was just joking.

Your Majesty is cunning;

I can't go too far." "Xiao

Ruo,

you've finally arrived!

I need to find

someone trustworthy

to help me conceal my true identity as a woman.

Xuanxuan is the most suitable.

I hope she's willing to cooperate with me.

Have tea,

Xuanxuan.

Why did you go to the palace for the imperial concubine selection?

To prevent

someone like the Seventh Prince

from plotting against me again.

Tell me

, who dares to steal the Emperor's woman?

I have inside information:

the Emperor...

he's impotent.

So why do you still want to go to the palace?

Isn't that better?

I'll have some peace and quiet

. The Regent is here again.

I want to see that girl again and

find out

if she's really a useless little

girl . Miss

Ren, I've come again

because of that incident last time

.

I want to see that girl again.

Why

does Your Highness insist on seeing her

? I've seen her in my dreams.

I'm in love with her

and have longed for her for a long time. I

want to marry her.

This ancient iron tree in the Nine Provinces

has actually blossomed.

Which girl does it love?

I will convey Your Highness's feelings,

but..." Whether or not to see

him is up to Xiaoruo. Thank you,

Miss Ren

. I await

good news.

Quan Jiuzhou likes me and wants to marry me.

The person the Regent

wants to see

is me.

That day, you and I met him

on the street. I

don't know if it was love at first sight

or a reunion with an old friend.

He asked me about you, but

I didn't dare tell him.

Could I have given myself away?

No wonder

he's been behaving strangely lately.

Xuanxuan, see

you at the teahouse

tomorrow at noon.

It 's almost noon,

and I should change my clothes and leave the palace

to see Quan Jiuzhou.

Your

Majesty, my injuries

have almost healed.

I am willing to share Your Majesty

's burdens . You've come at the right time.

There has been a flood in Jiangzhou,

and many people have been displaced .

The court has already allocated disaster relief funds,

but according to secret reports,

some local officials

have embezzled the disaster relief funds,

and many people have starved to death.

You must immediately go to Jiangzhou

to be responsible for

raising funds, providing disaster relief,

and comforting the people.

In addition,

secretly investigate and deal

with those corrupt officials who have embezzled

funds according to law. Your Majesty

, I obey your decree.

Please rest assured

, Your Majesty, I will not fail Your Majesty's trust.

An Wushang,

do you think

my clothes

look good today?

Your Highness

looks good in anything when

you're in love

. You stay here and guard against

everyone

. Do not disturb

Xiao

Ruo. No,

you are the Emperor, I am the Emperor

.

Why is

Your Highness so surprised?

Your Majesty, are you really a woman ?

Your Highness has misunderstood

. When I left the palace,

I disguised myself as a woman

for safety reasons.

It was just a coincidence that

Your Highness happened to see me last time.

I am not a woman. How could I joke

about such a thing?

That Miss Ren, she is

Ren Xuanxuan, my friend.

I heard her say that

the Regent fell in love with me at first sight

and even wanted to marry me.

It's all a misunderstanding ,

Your Majesty. You don't need to take it to heart.

It is Your Majesty's special fetish

that is truly

unprecedented

.

Xiao Ruo

is the woman I made love with in Your Majesty's dreams.

Xiao Ruo

is also Your Majesty.

So

from beginning to end ,

my heart has always been with Your Majesty. Your

Majesty has conferred the titles of Zhaoyi (Consort)

upon Ren Xuanxuan ,

daughter of the Grand Master of the Palace

, and

Xiao Cailan, daughter of the Prime Minister Xiao,

and

Jieyu (Consort)

upon

Liu Erxi, daughter of the Grand Councilor

. And several other Jieyu...

"You little

good -for-nothing!

I haven't dared to see you for days,

but you're acting

like nothing happened,

happily choosing your consorts without

a second thought for me.

Go on!

The Emperor even ordered people

to secretly protect Consort Ren.

You 're still loyal and devoted

to Consort

Ren, but you're cold and heartless towards

me. And what's more,

rumors are circulating in the palace

that the Emperor will probably

summon Consort Ren to his bedchamber

tonight. Thankfully,

he hasn't favored her.

It's so late,

Your Highness. Why are you in the palace

? Is something wrong?

My headache has flared up recently

and needs immediate treatment

. Logically,

Your Highness's headache

should have improved.

How come it's gotten worse?

It did improve a bit

recently

, but I don't know why

I'm always suddenly irritable.

It seems like my headache

has gotten worse again.

Let me take your pulse,

Your Highness.

Why is your heart

beating so fast

? Could

it be that my skills are not good enough,

Your Highness?" Your headache

has gotten worse.

Don't touch me, Your

Highness.

How would I know your condition

if I didn't take your pulse

? No need.

It's probably just due to recent internal heat. It's

alright, Your

Highness. This is mostly internal heat,

which needs to be balanced between Yin and Yang.

Otherwise, it's just

treating the symptoms, not the root cause.

You think you can mock me just because you've chosen

a bunch of concubines

? Is that it?

Your Highness can also

marry a bunch of concubines.

At Your Highness's age,

it is indeed time to get married.

Alright ,

I will choose a concubine tomorrow.

Good!

If Your Highness has a girl you like,

tell me , and

I will bestow a marriage upon you.

The Emperor has already taken

concubines , and you are not young

anymore. When are you going to get married?

If you don't speak up,

I will arrange a blind date for you.

Your son already has someone he likes.

No need for your mother to worry.

Which family's girl is she?

When the time is right,

I will tell you. You brat,

you

're acting so mysterious.

Oh,

I only saw her from afar

during the selection. I don't know...

What does the Emperor look like?

The Emperor has arrived,

no need for formalities.

Why does

that voice sound

so much like Xiao Ruo?

I am Xiao Ruo

. I'll explain

after these people leave

. The Emperor

chose Consort Ren

today. He

said you

don't need to come to the palace

tonight. So

this is what heartbreak feels like.

You little good-for-nothing,

you've captured my heart

, yet you're so affectionate with your concubines.

Where in the world is there such a good thing?

True love is hard to find.

If you like someone,

you won't care if they're male or female.

Besides, I'm

practically his

personal physician in the Regent's Palace.

Your

Majesty ,

I have a terrible headache

and can only trouble you to come here

.

Let me check

the Prince's pulse.

Everything is normal.

Your Majesty

, I feel

like you still have a slight fever

. Sure enough ,

this little good-for-

nothing's heart beats faster

after intimate contact with me.

I like him.

The Prince's temperature is normal too.

Quan Jiuzhou, you... "Are you crazy?

A famous doctor once

told me a folk remedy:

when you have a terrible headache,

kissing someone

will relieve the symptoms.

I just tried it with the Emperor,

and it really worked!

" Quan Jiuzhou,

are you crazy?

What kind of absurd folk remedy is this

? There are spies from

the Qing Kingdom infiltrating the

palace. Every

palace servant

, even the concubines,

could be a spy.

For your safety,

you'd better not favor

any concubine .

Quan Jiuzhou, this bastard

is simply lawless!

You can't favor any concubine!

Quan Jiuzhou,

I'll favor them anyway, just to show you ! Your

Majesty, something's wrong!

Consort Liu has been stung by a wasp!

And Consort Zhao has diarrhea today

and can't serve you

! Something's wrong!

Consort Xiao has fallen into the water

! You, Quan Jiuzhou,

do you want to make me

childless? Someone

has stirred up a hornet's nest

in the Imperial Garden

to assassinate Consort Liu!

How's the investigation going, Your Highness?"

I've

been quite busy

lately. I'll ask Hai

again when I get back.

I've already found out.

Oh,

who

is

it that wants to make me

childless?

Whoever I choose

to serve the emperor will be in trouble.

If this continues,

no concubine will dare to serve me

. Without

an heir, my throne

will be unstable.

Nonsense!

With me here,

who dares to oppose the emperor

? I thought

I had fought

alongside

the prince for many days and we had developed a deep understanding

and trust.

I never expected

the prince

to use such despicable means

to harm

me .

We had a deep understanding and trust

, but I never expected this little good-for-

nothing to value me so much!

Your Majesty, I just

... I just don't want you to

favor those concubines.

I feel uncomfortable

whenever I see you being kind to them.

I humbly submit to Your

Majesty's

judgment without

a single complaint.

It turns out

he didn't intend to harm me,

but was simply jealous.

However,

I cannot reciprocate his feelings,

nor can I

harbor

any inappropriate thoughts

towards him. Please, Your Majesty, punish me.

Let it be;

this matter

is over.

You may return.

It seems Your Majesty

is not heartless

towards me . If I persevere and have

more patience

, one day

he will surely

accept my heart.

I have fulfilled my mission.

During this trip to Jiangzhou

, I collected

100,000 shi of rice,

which was distributed to the disaster-stricken people.

Furthermore,

I have uncovered

corrupt officials who embezzled disaster relief funds.

Five officials ,

including the prefect of Jiangzhou,

have been punished.

All confiscated funds

have been used for disaster relief.

The people of Jiangzhou

have been properly resettled.

Well done!

Speak!

What reward do you desire?

It is my duty to relieve the people's

suffering.

I dare not ask for reward;

I only wish

to share Your Majesty's burdens

. If you have any orders

, please

give them.

The Sixth Princess has reached

marriageable age;

please

help her choose a

consort from a respectable family and

of excellent character and learning.

Your

Highness, your headache has healed

and you no longer need acupuncture.

Why have you entered the palace so late at night?

Your Majesty ,

my mother is selecting a consort for me.

At this moment, the house is filled with

young ladies from various families.

I only managed to escape

with great difficulty.

Your Majesty, please take me in.

You can hide for

a while,

but you can't hide

forever . You can hide for as long as you can. Fine

, fine, I will find you a

unique

place. "

You'll stay at Ya Yuan first.

Why is it you?

I summoned Consort Xiao to serve

me today, Your Majesty.

Consort Xiao is unwell today

, but she was afraid Your Majesty would blame her,

so today,

I, the Prince, will serve Your Majesty.

This jealous

woman is really dramatic.

Go sleep on the soft couch.

My dragon bed

cannot accommodate a second man.

Oh dear,

my headache

seems to be flaring up again.

I still want to try the treatment from last time.

I

am a man,

and it is precisely because Your Majesty is a man

that I want to use

the treatment from last time.

Shouldn't we, as men, avoid suspicion?

As men,

there is no need to avoid suspicion

. Does

Your Majesty

think I would

have any improper thoughts about Your Majesty?

Sleeping in so many clothes?"

There's something fishy about my clothes

, don't touch me! I

was sleeping so soundly

, was I

dreaming? You

're pretending to be asleep, aren't you?

I knew you wouldn't

give up, you'd definitely try to undress me

while I'm asleep.

But my secret

can't be revealed to you right now. Your

Highness, the

old Princess Consort is ill,

please return to the manor immediately.

Mother tricked me into coming back,

it must be about the selection of a consort.

Stop !

Tie him up!

Notify all the young ladies

to come to the Regent's manor immediately!

Mother

, is

this really necessary?

You look just like me! When you were your age,

you were already old enough to run errands.

Does our Regent's manor

need someone to run errands?

Do we have to have our own son

give birth to one to run errands

? Why did we give birth to such a

useless child like

you? I know what people outside

are saying

about you having a hidden illness.

You dare let them

say it to my face?

Stop right there!

I'm going to fetch

today's princess.

You must choose one for me

! This brat

ran away

while I wasn't looking!

Didn't you say you had someone you liked?

I want to see

who this woman is

. There really is one!

This girl is as beautiful as snow! This brat

has good taste!

Wait , why does

this painting

look somewhat like the Emperor ? Could it be

that Zhou'er likes the Emperor?

He actually likes men!

Your Highness doesn't want to marry, so

you should gently persuade him.

Why resort to deception and even kidnapping

him

?

I've heard that in the Qing Kingdom,

the customs are open

, and it's common to see men with other men.

What do you think of this

? Won't it lead to childlessness?

If it were my son,

I'd beat him to death !

It's not that I'm not helping you,

it

's just that I won't allow it!

Now,

what if...

what if

a man

is in

love with your

son?

If His Majesty

is considering your feelings,

I'll reluctantly

let it go.

But it

also depends on whether Xi'er is willing.

Oh,

I knew you were a

sensible person.

They don't know that

my Xi'er

is a lovely girl.

If Xi'er is willing,

she will tell His Majesty

this secret herself

. The Old Princess Consort ordered her subordinates to convey that

whoever you like, you

should pursue and bring back.

That's what a good son of the Quan

family should do.

I didn't expect that my mother

would not

only not object

but also be willing to support me.

Your

Majesty,

Mother, on my behalf...

" I've chosen

my princess consort, and I'm about to get married.

Come drink with me

! Good!

I'll prepare

the best rewards

and gifts for you,

and I won't let you lose face.

Your Majesty, are you so happy that

you know I'm getting married

? Of course!

As your friend, I'm naturally happy that you

've

found

your beloved. Here

, this is my mother's

treasured daughter's red

wine.

Your Majesty, have a taste!

Let's drink

until we drop!

By the way, my tenth brother,

Jiang Yunzhe,

will arrive in the capital tomorrow

. Your Majesty , be careful!

This man is quite cunning .

My tenth brother is deeply favored by our father. He

was appointed General of the Border

at the age of fifteen.

Our father promised him that

when he returned,

he would be made a prince

. Your Majesty, do you think

I should make him a prince?

This matter is not important; it's just

a title. Whether

Your Majesty grants it or not is fine.

The problem now is that there are

rumors circulating

in the capital..." He said

the throne was originally intended for him,

but someone altered the will.

Tomorrow

I will host a banquet

to welcome him back;

then

we'll see his attitude.

I'm sorry,

Your Majesty,

I had no choice but to resort to this tactic. Your

Majesty is truly a woman;

the woman in my dreams

is indeed Your Majesty.

Since ancient times,

women have never been allowed to interfere in politics

, let alone ascend the throne. That's why Your

Majesty has kept this

a secret so tightly.

Your Majesty, rest assured

, I will do everything in my power

to protect you

and assist you in becoming

a wise and benevolent ruler who carries on the legacy of the past.

Jiang Yunzhe stationed five thousand personal guards

outside the capital.

He didn't attend the palace banquet I specially prepared;

he wanted to give me a

warning.

I apologize

for the long journey

back to the capital;

I overslept.

My stupid maids in my residence

didn't even call out to me.

It was my oversight; I

didn't expect

the Tenth Prince... The maids in the Prince's residence

are so stupid

and ill-mannered.

No wonder they're

the little foxes I like!

Not only did they secretly curse Jiang Yunzhe

for his lack of manners

, but they also maintained their regal bearing.

Beautiful!

Tenth Prince, you're really late!

The celebration banquet is almost over.

Congratulations on your return to court

, Tenth Prince! Grandfather promised you a title upon your return,

but

now the throne has changed hands

, and

it's uncertain whether

you'll be granted one or not

. Sixth Aunt, don't talk nonsense!

The Emperor has always been kind

to his brothers; he's a wise and loyal

ruler. Congratulations on

your return, Tenth Prince

! The granary outside the city has caught fire!

Did you do it?

I believe you did it.

I won't do anything

until he takes action

, but Jiang Yunzhe

will definitely think it was the Emperor.

It seems

someone is getting restless.

Since the Emperor has latched onto

my coattails,

then I will… I'll

protect you

no matter what the Tenth Prince wants to do

; he's just a clown. Tenth

Uncle,

how's the food?

Is the fire under control?

Someone poured copper oil into the food.

Pouring water on it is useless.

Who started the fire ? Do you have any

leads?

Tenth Uncle

, your five thousand personal guards are without food;

their morale will inevitably collapse.

Think carefully,

Xin Xin, think carefully!

Who is the biggest beneficiary

? It must be

Jiang Yunxi.

He's wary of my military power

, afraid I'll threaten his throne, so he

burned my food

and forced me to retreat to the Northern Border.

Tenth Uncle, don't worry

, there's still a chance.

Why don't we take Sixth Aunt to the palace tomorrow

to see the Emperor

and ask him to

grant you a princely

title

according to the late Emperor's will ?

I'll figure out how to handle the food.

At this crucial moment

, only Xian is willing to help me.

As his uncle , I'm

grateful for

this favor. "

My late father

promised to bestow upon me the title of King.

I beg

Your Majesty to fulfill my father's dying wish.

My father did not inform me

of this

, nor did he leave a will.

Many of my brothers

and court officials are aware

of this . So,

summon all those who know this before me.

I know

this, but what proof do you have?

I heard you!

Tenth brother, you have served the border for three years.

Even if you have no merit,

you have still worked hard. Surely you

would

n't be so stingy as to not even grant me a title?

Our Great Jiang has always rewarded based on merit

. You just said

that my tenth brother

has no merit.

How then can I reward you?

Sixth sister,

the Prince Yu has already chosen

a suitable husband for you

. You should prepare to marry.

Stop interfering in court affairs.

This princess

will not marry anyone but

the Regent. The Regent heard everything.

Sixth sister

, you

insist on marrying me. Does that mean

I have to marry you?

Besides , Your

Majesty,

if you don't grant Jiang Yunzhe the title of King

..." I'm not afraid of him taking any action.

I want to tell him

that imperial power is in my hands.

I can appoint someone if I want

, and I can't appoint someone if I don't want to.

My beloved little good-for-

nothing is just so adorable.

Tenth brother,

that little good-for-nothing killed

third brother and sixth brother

. Maybe

he even killed Father Emperor.

You should lead troops into the palace

, kill that little good-for

-nothing, and set things right

. Sixth aunt

, you mustn't talk nonsense!

His Majesty is diligent in governing and loves the people,

combining kindness and severity.

With the support of the Regent,

the court has been stabilized.

Although

the ministers

have some complaints about the Regent's control of the court

, fortunately, no major chaos has occurred

. Tenth uncle

, you mustn't act rashly!

Regent, when did

the Jiang family's empire

ever belong to

Quan? Wait until you

kill that... "You little good-

for-nothing, I'll imprison the Regent

and make him grovel at my feet,

begging me in humility.

You go arrange for

assassinations of the

Emperor.

Your Highness

, are you planning to

do it yourself?

The Tenth Imperial Uncle still

hasn't made up his mind. Let me

help him make that decision.

Your Highness, are you really capable?

Why are you sick every other day ? Well, whether

I'm capable or not,

Your Majesty can try me

and we'll know.

Of course, we'll try.

I don't have a fever.

Why are you faking illness ?

Does Your Majesty want to hear

the truth or a lie?

You can say whatever you want.

Actually, it's all the truth.

I want to see if Your

Majesty will worry

if I'm sick .

What kind of truth is that?

I want to know

how Your Majesty perceives me."

How much weight does it actually carry

?

Secondly

, only by the Emperor leaving the palace

can the snake be lured out.

So that 's how it is.

Father said

this butterfly glass pendant

could help me find

the person who will protect me for life.

So that's what he meant

by Quan Jiuzhou.

The Tenth Prince

will definitely not let this go easily.

This tiger tally

can help the Emperor

gather the Imperial Guards

in the shortest time

. You truly are my strong support! You

've considered everything so carefully.

Your Majesty,

why are you

looking at me like that ? Your Highness is

so considerate.

I even want to take you into my harem.

She has feelings for me.

You're injured,

Your Highness.

Fortunately, you're

here. An Wushang,

immediately take men to find the assassin.

Even if you turn the entire capital upside down

, you must find the assassin

. I want

to live

. Two assassins were captured.

One bit his tongue and

committed suicide, while the other, unable to withstand torture,

confessed that he was working for the Sixth Princess.

Jiang Miaomiao

, however, didn't have that ability;

she was most likely being used as a pawn. "

Put her in jail first.

We

'll wait and see." "

Your

Majesty

, I heard that Sixth Aunt

was arrested for attempting to assassinate you.

There must be a misunderstanding.

Although she is arrogant

, she would never dare

to assassinate you.

She is only after avenging her Sixth Brother.

How could she not

dare? " "

I am willing to share Your Majesty's burden and

find out who is behind this.

This matter

is entrusted to you.

Do not overlook any clues." "Received the

decree.

" Jiang Yunxi,

you would never have imagined

that I secretly bribed

Jiang Miaomiao's subordinates

to deliberately leave loopholes

pointing at her.

Jiang Miaomiao, in order to protect herself...

Jiang Yunzhe will surely be implicated.

In that desperate situation, Jiang Yunzhe

will have no choice but to rebel.

This great Jiang kingdom

originally belonged to my father and me;

I'm merely reclaiming

what is rightfully mine.

Jiang Yunxi,

you useless

fool! If I wanted

to kill you, I would have done so long ago.

Why wait until now?

Jiang Yunxi,

release me now

! If you agree to release me,

I'll tell you

who assassinated you.

You said

it was your tenth brother,

and you burned his provisions.

Of course, he hates you to the bone.

Then why were your men

the ones who did it?

It must be that he

bribed my men to

distance himself from the situation

. Xiao Shunzi

, I ordered Ying Buli to

monitor the tenth prince's movements.

Any news?

Your Majesty

, Ying Buli reports back

that the tenth prince

has been busy preparing provisions

and shouldn't have time for anything else.

Your Majesty,

I've found out that

Prince Yu lent

Jiang Yunzhe five days' worth of provisions.

The other princes also lent him some.

They've gathered some resources.

Right now,

they're

plotting in his residence.

If

the Tenth Prince isn't the mastermind,

then who is?

Prince Yu

, I believe

Jiang Yuxi will eventually slip up.

Your

Highness, why are you here again?

What nonsense are

you spouting? Your

Majesty

, you already took me

as a concubine yesterday.

I was just joking.

How could you take it seriously?

How could you not take it seriously ?

Your Majesty,

you can't abandon me after starting something!

Then I'll leave

. Your Majesty

, a palace coup may occur soon.

I can protect you.

I have secret

guards. They can't protect you personally,

but

I can. Your Majesty

, you can

sleep peacefully.

But

don't take advantage of the situation.

Your Majesty, rest assured,

I definitely won't

do anything to you

tonight

. Your Majesty,

last night someone broke into the death row

and rescued the Sixth Princess.

Who did it?

We only know they

went towards the Tenth Prince's residence.

Your Majesty, your

subordinates will immediately lead men

to arrest the Sixth Princess and the Tenth Prince.

No need , Your

Majesty. If

the Sixth Princess and the Tenth Prince

are not arrested now, they

will surely plot a rebellion.

If they don't rebel,

how can I wipe them out in one fell swoop?

The bigger the trouble they cause,

the heavier their crimes

will be, and the more reason

Your Majesty will have to deal with them.

Thank you, Your Majesty, for saving my life

. It wasn't me who sent people to save you.

It's fine if Your Majesty doesn't want to admit

it, but

since

you saved

me, the matter of you bribing my men

is wiped clean .

What bribery of your men? Your

Majesty, you don't need to say more.

I understand.

You can stay at my residence,

but I advise you

not to do

anything that will lead to your own destruction.

Otherwise ,

I can't protect you.

Rest assured

, I will not act rashly.

As long as I bring Quan Jiuzhou

to the Tenth Prince's residence,

even if he doesn't agree...

Once that little good-for-nothing finds out about

our collaboration

, he will definitely no longer believe that Quan Jiuzhou

can sow

discord between them

so easily.

My tenth brother is a coward

and a useless piece of trash.

Luckily, Prince Yu lent me

two experts.

Sixth Princess

, you've practically delivered yourself to my doorstep

! Regent

, marry me, and

I can eliminate

all the princes

and obtain the abdication edict.

Then

you'll be emperor,

and I'll be empress.

We'll create a new dynasty together!

Imprison people in

the death row

and keep them under strict guard

! Prince Yu , you've come to save me!

What are you doing? Aren't we

allies?

You're no longer of any use

. I'll use your death

to help me complete one last thing.

You'll suffer a terrible death!

The Emperor won't grant my brother the title of prince!

Your Majesty, I admit it,

but the death of the Sixth Princess has nothing to do with me.

I do not admit it.

I have been stationed in the Northern Border for many years.

Even if I have not made any great contributions, I have still worked hard.

I

implore Your Majesty

to grant me three years' worth of provisions.

I will

immediately lead my troops

back to the Northern Border.

You

have already broken the law

by leading your troops back

to the capital

without authorization. I have already shown you leniency by not punishing you. Do you

still dare to ask for

a reward? Without provisions, are you

expecting the soldiers to go to the battlefield hungry and

die? Military provisions are the responsibility of the Ministry of Revenue.

You don't need to say anything more

. You may

leave. Your Majesty

, you are forcing your son to commit treason.

Tenth Prince, you

are drunk and talking nonsense. I will

go back and talk to him properly.

Go!

Tenth Prince,

this cup is for you.

Fill it up!

Tenth Prince,

tonight your nephew

will drink with you until we are drunk.

Let me tell you,

that little good-for-nothing , I

will chop off his head

sooner or later.

Shh,

Tenth Prince,

keep your voice down.

There's only one.

"You skinny little good-for-nothing,

do you think I'm afraid of him?

The Regent

has raised several thousand private soldiers

in the

outskirts of

the capital.

Your five thousand elite soldiers

probably can't handle it

unless

you can bring in a large army from

the north.

My nephew is right.

I'll

go back now.

I 'll send a message by carrier pigeon

and mobilize the

troops. Wait for me!

I can still drink! Hey, Tenth Imperial Uncle, slow down!

Tenth Imperial Uncle, I've paved the way for your

rebellion!

Why did Your Majesty invite me

to dinner here? It's better for the

Regent and I to be outside the palace

to lure the snake out of its hole.

This is

wine from the Western Regions . Your Highness

certainly knows its stuff!

If one day

I am no longer the emperor,

will Your Highness still

assist the new emperor ?

If Your Majesty really abandons you one day,

then

I

will usurp

the throne. I don't care about

assisting others

." In this life,

I will only ever be subordinate to you.

That's wrong of you, Your Highness.

Serving someone is

different ,

Your Majesty. You, the Emperor, are to

be with me for life,

through thick and thin.

I am a man,

how can I be with Your Highness

through

life and death?

This is my

last indulgence.

This is Jiang Yunzhe's token.

Who sent you here

? Hmph

, don't be so smug.

Once the border army arrives,

you're all doomed.

Jiang Yuxi,

I've been waiting for you for a long time.

You think you

can rebel with this

rabble ? Don't be

so hasty.

Let's give you two some appetizers first.

The real show is yet to come.

Please treat the Emperor

and the Regent well

. Jiang Yuxi

, aren't you curious

why Jiang Yunzhe helped me

? Your Majesty, I'm late.

Please forgive me

. Uncle,

where are your troops?

As long as you kill that little good-for-nothing

and Quan Jiuzhou,

the world will be yours!

My tenth brother and I have long since

reconciled.

That big argument

in the Imperial Study that day

was just an act for you.

Your

Majesty, I previously listened to Yi Yan and harbored

many grievances and disrespect towards you.

I am guilty

and willing to accept punishment

, but I

never intended to

send anyone to assassinate Your Majesty.

I will thoroughly investigate

and clear your name.

I also did not send anyone

to burn your provisions.

Someone must have secretly plotted

to sow discord

between us and

force you to rebel.

Jiang Yuxi

, I told you before that

the foreign army would secretly enter the city

tonight .

You came to kill His Majesty first,

and then I led my troops to help you.

Very well

, you fell for the trap

. You are truly cunning!

Seize Jiang Yuxi

and throw her into the death row

!

Let me out!

The assassinations at

the late emperor's funeral and enthronement ceremony

were all your doing.

You burned Jiang Yunzhe's provisions.

You killed the Sixth Princess.

What else do you have to say

? I didn't do it!

You fabricated all

this evidence !

You're stoic and jealous , but

I already suspected you

after you

shielded me from the sword.

If you don't confess,

your wife and children

will suffer the same fate as you.

I was

favored by my grandfather

from a young age.

He even groomed me as the crown prince

. He even told me

personally that

he would pass the throne to me.

But why,

why did my father's mistakes

involve me?

Why does my grandfather refuse to see me

? Why does he hate me ?

If he truly didn't care about you,

he would have banished you from the capital long ago.

Let

me tell you

, the throne is mine

. I'm taking back what belongs to me.

What wrong have I done?

Your crimes

are too numerous to

recount. Go to the underworld and confess to my father.

I don't want to die.

"Your Majesty

, I know

a great secret

. I beg you,

I beg you, spare my life!

But then we'll see

how valuable this secret is.

When my grandfather was buried

, there was no body

in the coffin

. It's very likely he

faked his death.

I will investigate

this matter

myself. Your

Majesty

, everything I've said is true

! Your Majesty, everything is true! Your

Majesty,

is Father truly still alive?

But why did he fake his death

? Why did he pass the throne to me?

We brothers are killing each other.

Is this what he wanted?"

The late Emperor was wise

; he must have had his reasons.

Some time ago

, a scout saw a man

in the suburbs

who resembled the late Emperor.

I will arrange for

a secret investigation. The late Emperor

was always by

my side . Father might still be alive.

Go to the imperial mausoleum to investigate.

This must be done secretly,

without making a fuss.

Your Majesty, the late

Emperor's coffin

is

indeed empty.

Go and send Father's portrait

to the brothers in our alliance

, let them

search for Father's whereabouts

. The

Qing Kingdom suddenly launched an attack

and captured three cities

in just three days .

The commander of the Qing army this time

is Crown Prince Dan,

a cunning and cruel man

who should not be underestimated.

I hereby issue an imperial edict

ordering the Tenth Prince, Jiang Yunzhe,

to return to the northern border immediately

and annihilate the Qing army

. Upon his triumphant return,

I will report to the Emperor.

A report

has come from the death row

that he is dead. How did he die?

He said he couldn't sleep at night

and asked the jailer for sedatives several times.

He then had his body

taken to the outskirts and burned.

This battle lasted two months,

and our Great Jiang achieved a great victory.

Yunzhe

not only reclaimed the lost cities

but also severely humiliated

the Qing commander.

It was truly satisfying!

However, I heard that the Qing Kingdom has sent an envoy

to negotiate peace

and will send a princess for a marriage alliance. They should be

choosing a consort

from among the princes,

right? Please, please don't choose Xi'er!

Madam,

this young lady

claims to be a princess of the Qing Kingdom.

Are you really a princess of the Qing Kingdom?

Wasn't it said that the Qing envoy

would arrive in the capital

in two days ?

This princess is very... Missing Jiuzhou,

I must hurry

to see him!

Princess, my son and I met

two years ago

when Jiuzhou was an envoy

to Qing. We fell in love

at first sight and pledged our lives to each other upon our second

meeting. But you can't just say that.

My son could not possibly

pledge his life to you

, much less

be interested in a woman from Qing.

My father intends

to forge a marriage alliance with Jiang. My

younger sister

is deeply in love with the Regent.

If Your Majesty

is willing to facilitate this marriage,

our two countries can open trade routes and

live in harmony

for the next fifty years,

working together for mutual development.

Your

Majesty, I have longed for Jiuzhou for two years, and I will

marry no one but him . I humbly request Your

Majesty to grant us this marriage alliance.

I would be delighted to see it

happen

, but the Regent

has rendered

meritorious service to the court and the nation.

I cannot make decisions for him without

his consent

. We must ask for

his own wishes.

Jiuzhou's appearance

is truly captivating!

Jiuzhou saved my life,

so naturally he is in love with me. Even if Your

Majesty

were just a

child, I would still have come to your

aid. "I have no romantic feelings

for the Princess of Qing.

I already have

someone I love

, and I will marry no one but her.

Regent, are you really going to

ruin the peace talks between our two countries

for a woman of insignificance ?

Crown Prince of Qing

, don't forget

that it was you who begged us for peace talks.

This princess is proficient in all eighteen martial arts.

Send your

three most skilled women

to compete with me in three rounds.

If I win,

then

all women of Jiang

will have to kneel and bow before

me, the women of Qing.

Your

Majesty, I am willing to fight.

Who else is willing

? I am willing to share Your Majesty 's burdens.

Consort Liu is a daughter of a

military family and her

martial arts are extraordinary.

Why is she not in her place

today ? Bring Consort Liu

here. Your Majesty

, I am

a guest.

It is not unreasonable

for me to decide the competition

.

Let's compete in

chess,

music

, and swordsmanship.

Consort Liu's old ailment has relapsed,

and her back injury has

worsened. She should return to her palace to rest.

Besides Consort Liu,

the only woman in the palace with martial arts skills

is me . The first two rounds

ended in a draw."

The two sides are evenly matched,

so let's see

how

this final match goes.

Your Majesty,

Regent,

how come there isn't a single woman

in the

mighty Jiang Kingdom who dares to challenge this princess in swordsmanship?

My dear sister,

I've heard that

the women of Jiang are

so weak and frail that you could slap them into the street with

your bare hands

. So the women of Jiang are really that pitiful

, unable to learn

martial arts ?

We women of Jiang are free

; we can

learn whatever we want. Regent , then why not invite your beloved

to challenge this princess in swordsmanship?

Even using only my left hand

, I will surely win within three moves.

Princess, please rest for a moment.

The third match

will begin soon.

I will personally go and invite the challenger.

Her face is exactly

the same as Your Majesty's.

She actually wants to challenge Su Xiyue.

Your Majesty, does this mean you acknowledge Su Xiyue

's earlier

words about her beloved? Your

Highness, this servant has come on His Majesty's orders to...

Princess of Qing,

be careful

in your swordsmanship contest!

Protect yourself!

Why are you only now bringing

a soft sword? You

're really arrogant!

I advise you

to surrender now, it's not too late

, otherwise

your life will be in danger.

Let me remind you,

if your skills

are not up to par and you lose,

it won't be a good look.

Someone

like you dares

to challenge me!

I'm going to kill you!

That's exactly what I want!

The more

flaws you make, the more thoroughly you'll lose!

You audacious maid

, you dare to assassinate my sister

! Guards, seize her!

Who dares to touch my people?

The contest

was proposed by the princess,

and now that she's injured,

you want to fight and kill

her? The princess

can't accept defeat!

A bet is a bet!

From now on,

all women of Qing

must bow and pay respects to

women of Jiang!

A bet is a bet!

After returning home,

you will naturally report the truth to your father.

I

dare not accept this! "Showing her true face, her

actions must be a trap

. Your Majesty is meticulous

and must have already devised

a plan.

Turns out she's an ugly monster

, she

's an

eyesore! Get out of here!

The fragrance on this woman is exactly the same as Your Majesty's.

Could it be that

Your Majesty is a woman?

Quan Jiuzhou should be very concerned

about this news.

This

is going to be interesting .

Regent, you came to see me

because you have important matters to discuss?

Regent,

this is the Imperial Study.

Doesn't Your Highness have someone in your heart?

What are you doing ?

Your Majesty , there's no need to be jealous.

My beloved has

always been Your Majesty.

I can never refuse him.

Quan Jiuzhou

, wait a moment.

This princess has something important

to tell you.

I have official duties

and no time to chat with you.

Then leave!

I'll turn around and spread Your Majesty's secret

to everyone.

What secret?

Jiang Yunxi" "I am a female

regent.

As long as you marry me,

I guarantee I will keep your secret.

Nonsense!

Princess,

do you have any evidence? If I didn't have evidence

, how would I dare to blackmail you? I

have bathed with the Emperor.

I know better than anyone whether

the Emperor is male or female.

You ,

Quan Jiuzhou,

are mine.

You can't escape!

" Su Xiyue is audacious enough

to kidnap my mother and Consort Ka.

I will make her pay the price!

Where are my mother

and Consort Ka?

The old

lady and Consort

Ka are elders.

How could I be disrespectful to them?

I merely invited them to taste

the delicacies of Qing Kingdom.

As long as you

cooperate obediently,

they will definitely be fine.

You think

I wouldn't dare to kill you?

Why are you suddenly so hot

? You must have fallen for Su Xiyue's trick.

I

added Love Silk

to the incense burner.

If I don't

detoxify you

, you

will become a cripple.

Quan Jiuzhou said

he had important matters to discuss with me today,

so why hasn't he returned yet?

Your Highness, what's wrong?

Quickly take me back!

"Qing Si Rao"

is an extremely potent aphrodisiac.

Although I used acupuncture

to remove half of the toxins

, his internal strength is profound,

and the effects of Qing Si Rao

have been amplified several times.

Even if he takes the antidote in time,

his internal organs will still be damaged.

Yunxi,

I'm so hot!

Quan Jiuzhou

, I don't want anything

to happen to you.

Your Majesty, are you pitying me ?

I don't need your pity.

I won't sacrifice myself

to save anyone.

Your

Highness once said

that I am the one you

love, and I also love you.

I will favor you,

and I will serve you in bed.

This dog... The man

had already undone the entanglements of love,

yet he still tormented me until dawn.

I know

Your Highness has the people

and the common folk

in your heart , and you would never use

my being a woman

to threaten me,

would you?

Of course not

. I only

act as a traitor

in the Emperor's bed.

Did you already know

I was a woman

? I knew

when the Emperor was drunk that time.

You teased me,

but I didn't say

anything because I didn't know if the Emperor

liked me.

I was afraid that if I revealed it,

the Emperor wouldn't let me get close.

Let me go back. I

want to return to the palace.

Yunxi,

if

I cannot marry you in this life

, then I will marry you.

When the time is right,

I want to reveal this secret.

No rush.

Last night I was not in my right mind.

It doesn't count anymore.

Now it's time for the real night service.

It turns out the Emperor is a woman.

They

've consummated

their marriage! We can choose

an auspicious day

to hold their wedding. Then

we can hold our grandson!

That's exactly what I wanted to say!

Then everything that needs to be done must be done.

Yes

, yes, yes, such a perfect plan,

yet Quan Jiuzhou

still managed to get away

with it. I wonder who benefited.

I'm so angry!

Crown Prince,

the Emperor of Jiang Kingdom is a woman. That ugly woman

who fought with me that day

was her. Is there

any evidence

? The fragrance

on their bodies

is the same

. There's no mistake.

If the ministers of Jiang Kingdom knew that

the Emperor they kneel to every day

was a woman,

they would definitely pull her off the throne.

If I marry Jiang Yunxi

as the Crown Princess

, it would be the greatest humiliation for Jiang Kingdom.

Mr. Jiang,

what do you think? Your

Highness

, if you can't strike with a single blow, all

your previous efforts will be in vain.

I do have a reckless plan.

Put this medicine into the city's wells

, and then, when the capital is in chaos,

reveal her identity as a woman.

This

is the best plan.

Good idea

, Mr. Jiang, you've thought it through.

At that time, I, the Crown Prince, will personally lead a large army

to annihilate Jiang Kingdom.

I faked my death and escaped this calamity.

I will definitely personally

take down Jiang Yunxi.

Yesterday, a sudden outbreak of canine plague struck the city

, and it has spread rapidly.

Dozens have already been infected.

Infected people crawl

on all fours,

biting anyone they see.

Everyone in the city

is living in

fear. I implore

Your Majesty to

immediately order

the culling of all dogs in the city

to eliminate the source of infection.

This matter is quite strange

. I will make a decision after

examining the patients

. Your Majesty is skilled in medicine.

Can you confirm that it is canine plague?

The incubation period for canine plague

is one or two decades.

These people

are afraid of wind

, light

, and water , but their

symptoms are all acute.

I suspect it is some other illness.

Your Majesty,

I just went to the clinic. Upon inspection, it was

discovered that a patient

was biting civilians in the city.

During the subjugation process,

it was found

that the civilians felt no pain whatsoever.

An order was issued to

declare martial law throughout

the city and

establish epidemic stations

to shelter and treat infected civilians.

Heavy security was

imposed, allowing entry but not exit

to prevent the spread of the epidemic

. I have been residing in the Prince's residence these past few days

to facilitate timely monitoring of the epidemic.

Your Majesty loves the people like your own children. The late

Emperor had unique vision,

not bound by ancestral rules and laws, and

was a wise ruler who carried

on the legacy of the Jiang Kingdom.

What's wrong

? I'm wondering

if the Qing Kingdom's delegation,

having only been in the capital for a few days

, was poisoned?

Could it be related to them? The situation

is still too complex to draw conclusions.

The fact that people

in various districts of the city have

been poisoned indicates that poisoning has been carried out everywhere.

This person

must be extremely familiar with the capital

. Your Highness, order the

retrieval of well water from

various districts of the capital.

I need to test for poison.

Also, please

fetch two sets of coarse linen clothing.

What does

Your Majesty intend to do? Your Highness, would you like to come with me

to the inn where the Qing Kingdom delegation is staying

to investigate?

What are you doing,

Your Highness?

I am a vegetable deliveryman.

I just borrowed a room

and couldn't find my way back.

People like you

lowly ants

must be here to steal. You think you can fool me

, Your Highness?

I really didn't steal anything! I really didn't steal anything!

I searched you and found

nothing

. Throw them out!

Don't let me see such people again

! Your Majesty, what have

you

discovered?

The entire Qing Kingdom delegation

is hiding inside the inn,

too afraid to go out

. It's too dangerous outside.

They've taken precautions;

there

must be something fishy going on.

Let's go back first. You've

had a long day, Your Majesty.

Please eat something

and rest.

This prescription

will be effective against the virus.

An Wushang , personally deliver

this prescription

to Physician Gu. This

humble

servant has already

given the prescription to Physician Gu.

He has summoned everyone from the Imperial Hospital

to do their utmost. We are preparing medicinal soup

and sending it to the people

in the hope that

the epidemic

can be brought under control as soon as possible.

There are rumors circulating outside

that the Emperor is a woman,

and the people are being bullied and

scolded. They say the Emperor is deceiving the court

and even

conspiring with Your Highness.

They say the people

have angered Heaven,

which is

why this

disaster has occurred

. We must quickly

investigate

where these rumors are coming from.

Regent ,

we want to see the Emperor!

Please see him immediately! The Emperor has been working

tirelessly to save the people and has just gone to sleep.

Prime Minister Xiao,

you are the head of all officials;

you must prioritize tasks.

Hahaha! Doesn't

your Jiang Kingdom's royal family

have any men?

You've let an ignorant woman...

It's laughable that

a mere child emperor

could trample the entire court underfoot.

Jiang Yunxi, a woman

, impersonated a prince

to usurp

the throne, angering

the heavens. If

she were willing to abdicate

, the people of Jiang

could safely weather this calamity.

If the emperor refuses to abdicate,

I will call upon

the entire court

to cease proceedings.

Regardless of

whether the emperor is male or female

, even if she is

, her

magnanimity, courage, and strategy

are in no way inferior to any man

. When the late emperor passed away

, the court was in turmoil, with princes vying

for the throne. It was the emperor who, in a time of crisis, took the reins

and single-handedly

stabilized the court and the situation.

Now, in the city...

The rampant canine plague has brought suffering to the people;

this is a warning from Heaven.

If we do not correct the chaos in time

and establish a new

ruler , I fear

even greater calamities will befall us.

At that time, the Jiang Kingdom

will likely perish. It

is not the canine plague

, but man-made;

it is not a disaster from Heaven

, but someone deliberately plotting

to harm the people of my Jiang Kingdom.

Is this true?

Is there any evidence?

Jiang Yunxi,

today is your death day.

My beloved ministers, do not be anxious.

I will first introduce someone to you.

How have you been?

How could she possibly recognize me

? Impossible!

She must be bluffing me

! Haha,

Your Majesty, you are joking.

This is my strategist

, Mr. Jiang

. Jiang Yuxi,

you are still alive!

I have been diligent and hardworking since childhood,

studying the art of governance under the Grand Tutor. I am

the true dragon emperor,

the one everyone hopes for

. Are you willing to bow down to a woman

for the rest of your lives?

As long as you

support my ascension

to the throne,

I guarantee

you will all be promoted and ennobled!

Hahaha,

Mr. Jiang is my good friend. I will

definitely

do my best to help you succeed.

Jiang Yuxi,

you have already fallen... Even as a prisoner,

why continue to win hearts and minds?

Prime Minister Xiao, you 've always been

discreet and are my father-in-law.

Surely you wouldn't

be fooled by the words

of a traitor .

Lan'er is still in the palace

; I can't harm her!

Prime Minister Xiao,

what are you waiting for?

Jiang Yunxi is a good-for-nothing

, and a woman at that

. What right does she have to compete with me for the throne

? What right does she have

? Let me tell you,

I've been sending people to search for

my grandfather's whereabouts.

I never expected

him

to return at this crucial

moment. We pay our respects to Your Majesty.

Father,

son, I knew you were still alive.

You want to know why?

Let me tell you.

Your father committed a grave error.

I

originally intended to make you the Crown Prince,

but you

cruelly murdered

the prison guards

who protected your father.

This shows that your

usual

kindness and humility are just a facade;

selfishness and cruelty are your true nature.

How can I entrust the throne

to someone like you

?

Grandfather

, you can't treat your grandson like this!

Grandfather,

what he did

... "Completely unaware

, it has nothing to do with me.

I will not participate in

the affairs of your Jiang Kingdom.

Telegram 88: Your

Majesty, Regent

, a few nights ago

, I saw the servants of Qing Kingdom

secretly leaving the post station

and returning at dawn

. I heard them talking about

poisoning the water source in the city. The Crown

Prince of Qing Kingdom

has witnesses and physical evidence.

What do you have to say?

I am the Crown Prince of Qing Kingdom.

If you dare to harm

my father, he will surely raise an army to attack.

You have killed countless of my people

. Even if

I cut off your head now,

the Emperor of Qing Kingdom

would not dare to say a word.

I will send an envoy

with a letter to the Emperor of Qing Kingdom.

You only need 30 million taels of silver

to ransom me.

30 million taels?

You might as well go and rob

the Crown Prince of Qing Kingdom.

I advise you

to recognize reality

and stop making futile struggles.

30 million taels

is too much.

The national treasury cannot produce that much silver

.

If you sign

a treaty of peace and friendship

between Jiang and Qing Kingdoms and guarantee that

you will not raise an army to attack

within a hundred years, 10 million

taels will be enough." "Two things are

good

. Xi'er is intelligent, cunning,

and adept at winning hearts.

She has perfectly inherited

the advantages of both me and Consort Jia

. Your Majesty, we respectfully request your

return to court.

I have lived in this palace for decades and

am long tired of it. Moreover

,

Xi'er

is no less capable

than

any

man.

You all

must not be bound by conventions

but

must broaden your horizons.

Only in this way

can the Jiang Kingdom prosper and create a glorious era

. Your Majesty,

I entrust

my daughter and the country

to you,

my Regent.

How have you been lately?

Quan Jiuzhou, how dare you be so

disrespectful! I have

no choice

but to spend my days serving Your Majesty.

Have you

dreamt of me recently? If Your Majesty

encounters any inconvenience

in the future

, you can use this token to mobilize

troops from the Four Seas Rice Merchants in various places.

You

are indeed hiding your strength!

Your Majesty, when you gave me this glass

butterfly pendant, you

wanted to match me with Your Majesty, didn't you?

I

did not misjudge you.

You are indeed a good match for Xi'er.

So what is so special

about this butterfly pendant ?

This glass butterfly pendant

is originally a pair,

an ancient artifact.

It can make

the man and woman who possess the glass butterfly pendant

have the same

dream of love.

You must have guessed

that..."
