(Jim) 'Alright.'

There. That should do it, Kathy.

Just a couple more shots around town

and our film documentary will be finished.

You know, we're gonna win that $1000 scholarship

at the Young Filmmaker's Film Festival.

Okay?

Here, Len, that's the last of the hi-fi gear.

Now, let's get out of here before we're spotted.

- Okay. - Oh.

What's the matter, Marty?

(Marty) 'It's the two filmmakers.'

Hey, they must've been filming Main Street.

(Marty) 'Yeah, and, maybe us.'

'Come on.'

[dramatic music]

[engine revving]

[tires screeching]

Now, I have one for you.

Alright, and if I guess it

- Shoot. - 'Okay.'

They're very famous all over the world.

And as a group, they are

very important to a particular person

other than themselves.

Speaking of the Elders..

[engine revving]

[beeping continues]

Oh, Elders, fleet and strong and wise

appear before my seeking eyes.

Billy, you understand that winning

Such as they walk in disgrace

and perhaps even in danger.

I don't know, it sure is an out-of-place word

on a lazy day like today.

But then again, the Elders are usually

right on the nose with their messages.

And in this instance

- 'Well, what's wrong?' - Len and Marty, they chased us.

- They've got Jim. - Wait a minute.

Back up a minute. Who is Len and Marty?

They've got him down at the old rail road yard.

Now, I ran away to get help.

Well, alright, that's what you've got.

We'll discuss the details later, okay?

We're never gonna get there in time.

Alright, look, you take her to the rail road yard.

[thunder rumbling]

Listen, we want that film.

Look, I keep telling you, it's just film

for my documentary.

- It doesn't concern you. - Maybe not.

We don't want to make our starring debut

at the police station film festival.

Kathy and I just passed a police car on Main Street.

It seems there was a break-in in the local hi-fi store.

This certainly is an active little town.

You know, it must've happened right after

we shot our footage on Main Street.

We might've caught the break-in on film.

(Billy) 'Young Filmmaker's Festival.'

One thousand dollars scholarship, huh?

Well, I guess that explains the film that Jim and Kathy

were making on Main Street today.

And I bet I know how Len and Marty fit into it.

You think you know how they fit into it.

Circumstantial evidence doesn't necessarily mean

that the fly you catch will be the right one.

I hope you're not thinking of entering that film festival.

to shoot for your documentary.

the film over to the proper authorities.

The authorities have film labs.

(Kathy) 'Len and Marty!'

[engine revving]

This is blank as it can be.

They gave us the wrong film for the police to develop.

Yeah, and the police were right when they said

they couldn't act on our word alone.

We don't even know if the real film

does show the break-in.

Billy! Mr. Mentor!

What's wrong, Kathy?

Jim, he gave you the wrong film.

Oh, boy, do we know that.

Now, Len and Marty are after him for the real film.

I was coming to get the police.

Why is he being so foolish?

All of a sudden, all he cared about was winning.

It didn't matter if he hurt someone

'or ignored his sense of duty and he'd lie to you two.'

They must've gone on on foot.

mean so much to me?

I mean, I hurt Kathy

and I-I lied to Billy and Mentor

and, and I even refused to go to the authorities.

And now they're trapped in there.

but maybe you've learned a valuable lesson.

Right now, the main thing is to get

Len and Marty out of that cave.

(Andrea) 'Now, he's polishing the glass disc'

(Mentor) 'Huge magnifying glass.'

[instrumental music]

Yeah, but what good will that do?

With a magnifying glass this large

I can magnify the sun's rays

into a laser beam intensity.

And a laser beam can burn

right through those large boulders

without causing any vibration.

Yes, but, unfortunately, not even Captain Marvel

can think up sunshine.

[thunder rumbling]

Andrea, you're a science teacher.

'You must know someone with a laser.'

You can use the radio on Mentor's motor home

to call someone.

[instrumental music]

[dramatic music]

I really thought we were goners.

You know, all this taught me a lesson.

Winning means nothing at all

if you do anything just to win.

that you and Kathy shot?

just in case there is any evidence in it.

I wouldn't wanna show it at the festival now, anyway.

Not after what it almost made me do.

It's a shame, Jim, that you won't have

a documentary in the festival.

I know that you and Kathy really looked forward to that.

Who says we won't have a documentary at the festival?

We've all been faced by temptation.

Chance to win a contest, maybe cheat on an exam

or make some easy money in some dishonest way

but most of us know better than to fall for things like that.

In today's story, Jim found out what Zeus meant when he said

"Those who act dishonestly to win

"walk in disgrace

perhaps even in danger."

So, play it safe and play it smart.

Don't be fooled by temptation.

The honest wayis the best way.
