You're, uh, still sort of flipped out about

the TV last night, aren't you, Mentor?

Well, it's not like I watched what I wanted to watch.

It's not my fault they scheduled a documentary

opposite the baseball game.

Hey, I'll tell you what.

'Tonight, we'll both watch what you wanna watch.'

There's a double header tonight

that should be sensational. Heh.

Hm. Just don't tell my network I watched a rival channel.

[beeping]

Uh-oh. Hey, it's time to contact the elders.

[dramatic music]

Station was robbed last night, Jackie.

'By someone with a key.'

There was no sign of forced entry.

I didn't do it.

Mr. Spencer, I wouldn't do that to you, honest.

[sighs]

See what I mean, Mellie?

[dramatic music]

[tires screeching]

[siren wailing]

They must be after that kid.

[music continues]

[siren wailing]

- Ugh. - Now, there he is. Let's go.

- Hey, wait. - Let...go off me, man.

- I gotta find 'em. - Well, find who?

What's this all about?

[sighs]

[music continues]

Why are you running away?

Jackie, I'm afraid

we're gonna have to take you in for questioning.

[both sigh]

Do you mind if I ask what's going on?

They think he robbed the gas station..

...just because he was put away for robbing one before.

(Vinnie) 'Mellie.'

Now, Mellie.

[dramatic music]

(Vinnie) 'Hey, hey.'

Dig, the big hero.

[scoffs] You must do a lot of reading

about those knights dueling dragons and all that.

Well, in my book, hero

the dragon cops the prize.

Now that the police have released Jackie

I got a funny feeling he'll come looking for Vinnie.

It seems we have a reception committee.

Sure, that's why you held me for the cops.

Let's put it this way, we're not enemies.

Look, the last time we spoke

you said something about finding him. Who?

Whoever's trying to frame me, that's who.

'Look, I made a mistake'

and I paid with a year in reform school.

Every time a little job gets pulled

it's easy to make the police think that I did it.

He has to fight against people that won't let him

forget his past. And I like him.

You like him, so you refuse to believe that he might be guilty.

who don't like him because of his past, who refuse to believe

that he might be innocent.

Billy, be careful about letting your emotions

cloud your reason.

[dramatic music]

I was becoming vulnerable to my own feelings.

[dramatic music]

Mellie, we've got to talk to you about Vinnie.

You don't understand, Billy, Vinnie's my brother and..

He's your brother, but Jackie's innocent.

And I think it's just reached the point

we've got to make a choice, Mellie.

'Between loyalty to your brother or to Jackie.'

Big hero found himself a princess to rescue.

well, I've sort of been letting the scene roll all over me

instead of trying to prove that I belong in the scene.

I'll help you prove it.

We'll go to the cops. I'll tell them Vinnie admitted everything.

Jackie, wait!

Billy, he's going after Vinnie. We gotta stop him, please.

- Mellie, where you going? - To get the cops!

[intense music]

There's no sign of either of 'em.

We'll find 'em.

Well, I've got a feeling we're gonna be too late, Mentor.

is in there right now, uh, burning the evidence.

for a mistake he made once.

they're making all sorts of noises.

(Samuels) Could be.

Maybe we ought to spend some more time in this area, Billy.

Hey, there's a good game on television tonight.

I wanted to watch the movie.

- Baseball. - Movie.

Billy...I don't wanna make

a big thing out of the generation gap

but it will save a lot of discussion.

I am an adult, you are a youth.

In matters of home management, and this is our home

the leader dog makes the decisions.
