I started swinging super wide
out and around.

Then it started going in
and then it just kind of caught

and pulled me all over.

I could have been slammed
into the creek face-first.

I do a risky job.

And once in a while,
you get a reminder

that, yeah, it's really risky.

People die doing this.

They gotta find someone
to bring something out to us.

That's gonna take time.

It's like it's not an easy fix.

to call for rescue.

And I'm getting
extremely nervous.

You know, we've done this
for decades.

This has been one
of the bleakest

winters
I've had in recent memory.

The pressure is on, and I'm--

right to the balls.

gambling on a new strategy

to save the company.

to salvage the season

by pivoting the business

winter has forced us to do.

the road's going to close soon
due to weather.

the convoy needs a plan.

In theory.

This is all theory.

I didn't pass much schooling.

I came up with an idea.

We're gonna try it.

So right now,

we're going to anchor
this winch truck to my truck.

Winch that top corner
of that camp shack.

That's gonna take the pressure.

Maybe put a little bit more.

Pull that shack back a bit.

They'll pull the truck out
and let that shack drop there.

Perfect.

That's the theory in place.

Whether it works, I don't know.

Depending on what scenario
you're in,

you will have to do the most
extreme, most unorthodox things

in order to make it work.

We're going
to pull the camp back

and you forward
at the same time.

narrator: Scooter's plan is
to pull the shack backward

off of Lisa's trailer

while pulling Lisa's truck
forward out of the creek

and onto the road.

and unbind it.

the two chains holding the
2-ton shack to the trailer.

it just gets the job
done quicker.

So far, the truck's

I think part of that's
because of driver knowledge.

I know just how hard to push it
without breaking it.

You can just see the trailer
just trying to take off,

just sliding.

We want to make enough money
this year to buy a log truck.

I'm putting a little bit aside

out of every one of my
paychecks from up here.

We're kind of a family
on the roads.

And it's so cool.

Makes all the trouble
