Kai picked up Damon Merchant, who helped
extend their point lead.

Ryan ended up picking up Nate Saylor. I
wasn't going to do this.

But then I heard Kai was going to do it.

Who won the entire event?

Sean's been trying to get Scott Taylor
for several weeks, but Mike Murillo was

not impressed with Sean's cash offer.

The weather is, you know what, it could
be hot, and it's not hot today, so I am

not complaining one bit.

All right, a little bit of wind, that's
okay. A little chilly. We got a lot of

racing that is going to happen here
today. You're going to love it. We're

to have a lot of fun.

We are here at Galat Motorsports Park,
and it is time for the Invitational

For the first time all season long.

Each round is now worth points and a
half, which means a racer wins a round,

they now get 15 points instead of 10.

Team Kai is coming into the event
sitting on top of the leaderboard, but

tight at the top. The gap between first
and fifth is only 260 points.

There are still enough points up for
grabs for any of the top teams to make a

run and take over that number one spot.

And with the big -name trade that Kai
and Ryan made last week, I bet Sean is

still thinking about how he can get
himself Scott Taylor.

So, we all know we've got to do as well
as we can with these points and a half.

We've got three races to either catch up
or get it. And at this point right now,

we're getting left behind.

Some of the teams are out of reach of
this championship. We are not.

Now is the time. So, we're going to do
whatever we can to get Scott Taylor on

our team. Last week, they wanted 10.

for just Scott, and it just wasn't
feasible.

I offered $7 ,500. I think he's going to
take that offer. We're going to have to

come up with the money.

Luckily, my team said that they'd all
pitch in, so it's doable now.

have to make a business decision, and

can't think with your heart every time.

because I know that me moving don't

luck around, so I'm looking for the
uphill climb now because we already went

back to the bottom.

It feels good to be this close to the
championship.

What sucks is I've always been number
two, so there was no stress.

There was nothing, no pressure.

You're just chasing that number one guy.
But now... It's way worse being in the

number one spot in these last couple
races, especially knowing that people's

going to be giving points and a half and
double points.

We've done good all year.

Started off the end of the year, me and
David and Lizzie took our team. We

stayed in first.

Then we picked up Jew. That was a big
help.

And then right here in the end, I think
we got the most solid team there is

here, as long as we can keep things
together.

You got Ryan with a lot of momentum and
his team, and you got a point and a

half. Point and a half, then double
point.

We need to stop Nate Taylor.

big trade. Murillo put up Scott Taylor

and Brandon James in exchange for Doc, B
-Rad, $7 ,500, and a scooter. The big

ticket items in the trade were very
strange, but look.

If these captains are trying to get
their angle into the championship, this

change could make a huge difference.

I think all five people on this team
could win at any moment. I think so,

That's a good thing. One of us needs to
win this event this weekend. It would be

With the addition of Scott and Brandon,
Team Murder Nova now has all five

drivers in the event.

leaving Team Murillo with none.

So that trade is already working out for
Sean. The top three teams in points,

Team Kai, Team Ryan, and Team Dave, also
have all five in, while Disco Dean,

Bodie, and Swanstrom each have four.

With this event being points and a half,
every driver in the field will earn 15

points just from making it into the
first round.

These captains know they've got to move
as many drivers as possible into the

later rounds in order to stay in
contention for the championship.

As you can see, we have a group of
drivers here on the starting line. This

of drivers is the 32 drivers that will
be competing for $40 ,000 today. There's

32 of them. These drivers are going to
have to each draw a chip out of the

bucket.

Let me pull you one out.

Round one, there are a couple matchups
to keep your eye on.

Scott Taylor's going up against Kyle
Canyon. Look, you've got to think Scott

really wanting to prove that he is worth
the money and the scooter that was put

up to get the trade.

Then you've got Damon going up against
Lizzie. Look, two new teammates, two

heavy hitters going up against each
other.

And then we've got Kai Kelly going up
against Axeman. Look, a lot of pressure

this race. Kai Kelly trying to keep his
team in first place. And Axeman sitting

on the second place team.

Invitational first round starts right
now. First pair. That's going to be Rich

Bruder going up against David Gates.

First pair out.

All right, he's coming now. Sorry,
David. We got it.

Round one, we got David Gates.

First round's a tough round, and we got
to put a pass to it up in it. We can't

take him late, so if we can knock him
out on this round, you know, that allows

us to get some more points, even though
it's one and a half points. So that's

it. We got to do what we got to do.

You know,

we got Rich Bruder. We're going to be
first pair out down the left lane.

And we're going to go out there and
we're going to let this thing go and get

the other end first, come back over
here, service the little girl, cool her

down, and be ready to go around today.

The goal when we got here is to go win
the thing, and after testing Friday

night. I feel like we got the car to
beat here this weekend, along with our

captain, Kyle Kelly. And we know where
we stand at now, and the car's reacting

to what we're doing to it. And I think
at the end of the night, I hope to be

standing here holding that trophy,
drinking cold beer.

Okay, so we had some issues on Friday.
Worked really hard to get it back

together. The next three races are
extremely important.

It is Invitational Day. It's a very
important day because we do have points

a half. You can't help but be a little
nervous in these situations just because

points and a half can make you or break
you. I definitely have a little bubble

guts today.

It'll be a driver's wheel race and a
tuner's computer race.

It's definitely a different track, and
we tend to thrive on off -the -trailer

races, and I like our chances here.

Cool. Let's go do it.

We drew Bodie round one, which is a
pretty solid draw.

Chase always tells me, draw good before
I go, and I think we did just that.

Team got four in, man.

Everybody's car seems to be running
good.

We got some momentum going, man. I know
I got a tough fight, but I feel good,

man. I got the right lane. I liked it. I
wanted it. So I'm ready to go out there

and show what this car can do.

And Kayla Morton will take the win
there. Nice pass right down through

Bodie, you might have had to pedal
there.

Round one is always the most nerve
-wracking, so I'm really glad to get

over with. We had a lot of problems on
Friday that we had to fix, so I'm glad

she's back together and she's healthy.
And honestly, I was a little worried

about Bodie guessing, but he didn't.
And, yeah, on to round two, so smooth

sailing now.

All right, next pair coming up right
now. We've got Chuck Feitzinger going up

against your grade 8 winner.

Well, we finally got that monkey off our
back.

I wanted that grade 8 badly.

Badly.

Just got off the grade 8 last night. We
got our first grade 8 win. We're super

jacked about that.

We got a badass car right now. This
thing's flying.

We're ready for the invitation today to
collect some points.

Everything should stay the same. We got
the new pushrods in.

And we got more room on our table for
another trophy, so I really want to do

I was honestly afraid he was going to
jump on me just because he's kind of

for us. We've got all five of our team

We've all got to perform. We've at least
got to go two rounds. As long as we're

I care about.

We weren't able to race our way in. We
found some issues with the car. We

have found them earlier, but our
schedule is so grueling. We don't have

to test.

We got Clay Cole. Clay Cole's fast.

He beat me on the race your way in in
Colorado and went on to make it all the

way to the finals.

So I owe him one.

We're going to be one for three.

I'll take it today if I can.

Clay Cole.

He's a wild card. He can be fast, but
he's just a wild card. You never know

he's going to do. So we got Bobby.

He's Robin Roberts.

We blew this thing up last night, got it
back together.

It cranks. I know that much. So we're
about to see what the rest of it's going

to do. I'm going to try to tree him and
hope I stay out front of him and get the

W because I got to get me some freaking

The car shook just a little bit and then
hauled out the back door, so I knew it

was over and I never saw him.

I was the third team driver to go and
the third one to get the W for Team Ryan

Martin. We're in a great spot.

that's going to be Callie Mills going up

against Brandon James.

Go out there and quiver a little bit,

until you, you know, you know how far to

I actually raced Brandon James in the
grudge passes and pretty close race

I had to abort.

I know that my car is faster now than it
was when we raced him. So I think it

should be good as long as I can do my
job on the tree and not let him get out

me.

We broke a lot of things the other day.

I mean, everything's new.

Transmission's new. Third member's new.
So we can't really run it exactly how we

would normally run it. But we kind of
know about where she's at. So I'm

confident going into the first round.

What a drag right there.

All right, next pair, that's going to be
Chris Rankin going up against Jeff

Lutz.

Round one drivers meeting, I draw Chris
Rankin. I've raced him many times

before, and I've always come out with a
win, so I don't plan it any different.

But, hey, he's getting better. His car's
fast.

He's one to watch out for. I just don't
know if it's going to be today.

Somehow we've raked in three times now
in the Invitational.

Hopefully third time's a charm. We can
get over one of them on this one, and we

need it. They've got a fast hot rod, and
they're pretty damn consistent.

So we're going to have a work cut out
for us, but you've got to beat the best

guys here. You've got to beat that, and

he's one of them.

blues. We're on a new team, Team Murder

Nova now, and we've been thinking for
about six races, and it's time to turn

that around.

last two races have been gone. Making

up pretty fast was points and a half
today.

I know Dave's counting on us to go
rounds, and he was missing us the last

races. So we've got a good hot rod.

He's just not comfortable in the car,

Been there, though. Whenever you lose so
much, man, you're just not confident in

the car. I think that's the problem.

Because he shouldn't have went up on the

It seems like no matter how much we
test, the first round is just killing

transmission line blows off.

Thankfully,

you know, if we're going to look at any
kind of luck, at least it didn't burn

me. It sprayed to the right side of the
car.

Honestly, that's pretty lucky. I'm not
going to the hospital right now, so I'm

going to take it as a win.

You know, I'm healthy.

I can watch my friends race, and we'll
try to be the ones they're watching next

week.

I think I'll make the same pass I made

Here in Galap, we drew Dave again. We
get a little chance to redeem ourselves

today, first round again. So that'll put
a little hurting on those guys if we

can take him out. And with this points
deal, I think it's going to get pretty

interesting the next three races.

We got really good test passes in the
other night.

We freshened the motor up. Everything
should be good to go. I got Larry Larson

again. We've met up quite a few times
this season, and he hasn't outran me

So I want to keep that streak going and
see if we can go into the second round.

say, aggravating.

Larry, if you think I jumped on you, I
apologize. I had no intention of getting

it. The crappy part about it is, if
you're going to jump, admit you jumped.

I'm pretty sure I did not.

They've had some struggles here lately,

when that car makes a good rip, it's
usually fat.

I drew Jim Howe, and he's probably one
of the five cars I wouldn't wish for in

first round.

But, hey, eventually you're going to
have to draw somebody fast, and I think

we've got the car that can beat him. I'm
going to try to leave on him, and if I

can leave on him, I think we've got it
covered.

Next pair, you got Chuck 55 going up
against Jim Howard.

And Chuck 55 with a great pass gets the
win.

Damon was definitely not the one I
wanted to draw first round for

especially he's on our team.

And, you know, he's fat.

It don't sound right, does it? No, it

It sounded like it was missing a couple.

Nah, she would never come up here hurt
on purpose.

And Merchant hits her on the tree, never
looks back.

Car made a phenomenal pass, so I'm super
pumped about that.

The guys have been working their ass
off, and we're heading in the right

direction right now. We've got a hot rod
that can win this thing.

been running away with this deal this
year, and we need to go get him. And

is our chance to make a big move. So all
it's going to take is a couple of us to

get in the finals, which means we've got
to have good cars that run good. We

stay away from each other.

We're in North Carolina, getting ready
to run the first round of the

Invitational. We made it in yesterday.

we've got something for him, though. We

Friday night. Our car ran the three best
passes it's ever ran.

important thing is just to keep going
and collecting points. My team's sitting

the last one standing.

Round one, I drew X -Man. X -Man's been
guessing on everybody, but I feel like

me and him's good enough buddies that I
think he'll give me a straight -up race.

So I'm going to go up there and run my
race. I'm not going to guess on him.

I'm going to leave on green and see what
happens.

that kind of dumbass happening.

is going to catch us today.

don't want to take it. I'm just pissed

off, feeling sorry for myself, and

The team is in a real good position. We
got all five drivers in. We got points

Feeling good about the car. It's right
where it needs to be.

As long as we make a nice, clean run, I
feel like we can be just on the ground.

This weekend was short on hands. My dad
had some work issues come up. This will

be my first race racing without him. So
that definitely sucks, but I've called

him every pass that we've made. He's
watching it on live feed. He's trying to

coach me through.

I made three passes Friday night, and
the car was steadily, gradually driving

left. We had to put some preload in the
car, and I called him on the phone, and

he talked me through on how to get
everything ready, so hopefully this car

drive back straighter.

He's going to get the win there. Justin

I went out there.

This car out of nowhere, it just snapped
sideways.

If my dad was here, he probably could
have read the track a little bit better

than I did.

You know, I tried my best, but it just
wasn't good enough.

Hey, do you see a little starstruck race
to Murder Nova or is it old hat at this

going to go easy on them. This will be a
great rematch.

And we got the new motor in that car, so
we're meeting business here. No easy

going for Murder Nova.

I know what she has because it's the
same thing that I have. And I don't know

how much they're unleashing that car at
this point. But I know what the car's

capable of. And that's the only thing I
can go off of. So I'm not going to

underestimate her.

the trip all the way down the racetrack

I don't know if I've raced him yet this
season. At the beginning of the season,

he was on fire. His car was one of the
fastest on the property. He had a little

bit of problems with it, and I actually
think he's back now.

He's been running good. He raced his way
in. He's been taking out some big -name

cars, and he's fast.

We tweak the tune just a little bit off
the first pass, try to go a little bit

faster. We have to go as fast as we
possibly can.

Takes the win with a great pass there in
that left lane. Mike Bowman right there

with him, but not enough.

I left on him, and I never looked back
after that. We got the win light. It was

a pretty close race, but on to the third
round.

hopefully I can continue on and carry

God, I raced with her dad. I watched her
dad growing up.

Kaylee's watched me race as she grew up.
It's kind of cool to actually race one

of the guys' daughters.

And she's doing really good. The car is
really fast. So it should be a really,

really good race.

From him, Callie Mills also made a great
rip there in the right lane, but just

not quite enough.

Car's good. That was a really, really
fast pass.

I got off and down it for that one, so
we're only going to go faster from here.

But the bad part is, going into the
third round, there's no ducks. I mean,

everybody's there for a reason.
Everybody's fast, so let's get a good
