Original subtitles

- Previously on SEAL Team... - Clay's medkit

got blown clean off. If I could flatten it all out

under my ballistic plate...

That's a pretty smart idea.

ERIC: You created one hell of a mess.

Left us no choice but to stand you down.

You put Bravo back in the field

and you can have my Trident.

In eight more weeks, then you're all ours.

RAY: Could be a chance to have more of an impact

than I've been having with my rifle.

Like, all the work that I have done

lately on myself, I found a balance.

I just feel like running back into the fire,

all that's just gonna destroy

the progress that I've made.

Colonel Decker-- he was assaulted last night.

(both grunt)

Investigation's underway.

- Not sure you all have met. - SONNY: Drew Franklin.

Thought he was an urban legend.

You all will be spending the next month

working with Swedish SOG.

There's a reporter doing a podcast

about "the House of Franklin."

But this could be your reputation on the line.

- (explosion) - (all groaning)

(gunfire)

(grunts)

(gunshot)

- (laughter) - Stop. I swear, Sonny,

if your legs moved half as fast as your mouth,

you wouldn't always finish last.

Well, sprinting out to that early lead

wasn't the humdinger of a plan I thought it was.

I don't know about that.

You know, crop-dusting the competition--

that was a John Tortorella move, my brother.

Using the best tool in his tool kit.

- (laughter) - Ah.

It's the world's deadliest janitorial staff.

(others groan, laugh)

Thought you guys were ordered back to your shore duty posts.

Yeah, we're still serving our time in limbo.

Just got together for a workout.

JASON: Thought you'd be off on your next Pro Dev.

- No, starts next week. - JASON: Tell you what.

Since you got some downtime,

tomorrow you want to join us for a run?

Individual sport, right up your alley.

SONNY: Or we could hit the MMA mats

and beat that shit-eating grin off your face.

(laughter)

I'll pass.

I've seen what Hayes can do

when he gets his hands on someone.

Keep enjoying yourselves.

If Command ever frees the Bravo Five,

you know, you might miss this.

# #

(electrical whirring, beeping)

(door opens)

You're home early.

Well, you know, I put some face time in at the supply depot,

did a run with the boys.

And I got about 20 seconds left on this TBI exercise.

Not just a cognitive workout

- but a fashion statement, too. - That's right.

- (fanfare plays on video game) - Oh. 50 out of 60.

Congratulations, new record.

How are everybody's spirits at base?

Same, you know-- Ray's counting down the days,

the rest are going stir-crazy.

Still no word about Bravo becoming deployable?

Nothing that I've heard of.

I'm sure Command appreciates you not going full Bravo 1 on them.

(chuckles): Look, Command's gonna do

what Command's gonna do with us.

I mean, there's no point battling with them.

All right? They're probably just gonna drag their feet,

like they did with the TBI.

Well, I'm glad you're so at ease with everything.

No night terrors since the one right after Sweden, right?

No. The only nightmare I have these days

is thinking about you overfeeding Cerby

with bacon and what that would do to my sofa.

(laughs)

- What you told me the other day... - Yeah?

...about how kitting up might set you back somehow?

- Yeah. - Maybe being out of the fight

does have its perks.

Well, I could, uh, think of a few.

Oh. Go on.

Yes, ma'am. So, what I was saying was...

Hey, I need to talk to you.

Finally. You've been ducking me

since I got back from Sweden.

We agreed to be discreet, remember?

Mmm.

You, uh, still on this kick about

us keeping our distance?

Yeah, more than ever.

I heard there's an open investigation

into the Decker assault.

They know that it was someone from the services.

Okay. After all this time, and that's all that they got?

Them Jimmy Hoffa investigators

are puffing their chests out somewhere.

They might know more. I can't exactly ask around.

The way that Command's treating Bravo,

if they had anything on me, anything,

they would've nailed me with it.

Well, I hope you're right.

RAY: And with all your success in manufacturing, Mr. Lettow,

I know you recognize good machinery.

And that's what we have here at Spenser House.

Solid machinery that we can fuel

through support by generous contributors.

This intake area right here is where

our trained volunteers can assess a veteran's needs

and start to help them with a treatment plan.

Hey.

That's one of our brilliant new social workers

that just joined us. Matthew.

Marcus.

- Marcus. - Mm-hmm.

And we'd like to add five more Marcuses

with your help.

Upstairs, I can show you the brand-new

physical therapy room we just outfitted.

- It's a... - NAIMA: Uh, equipment arrives

next week, actually.

- Right. Right. - Right.

The most vital part of the machinery, Naima.

She keeps this place running.

While you're off, you know, protecting our country.

(Lettow chuckles)

Tell me about the namesake. Spenser House.

Um, Clay Spenser.

He was a Navy brother of mine we lost a few months ago.

Oh, he was the young man who was killed by

a veteran you were treating here?

No, that's,

uh, not what happened... what happened.

- Uh, Clay volunteered here. - Ah.

He truly believed in our mission.

Oh.

(phone beeps)

Uh, it's work.

- Okay. - I, uh...

have to go.

Excuse me, Mr. Lettow.

So, yeah, the equipment should be here next week.

- Okay. - And if you wanted to...

(sighs)

(lock beeps, latch clicks)

(sighs)

Ray, any idea why they're bringing us in?

No clue. Jace?

Well, Command's supply monkey

doesn't get read in early anymore.

Sending us off to another time-waster somewhere.

After, uh, how well Sweden went?

Maybe they lost patience with us,

found a reason to drop the hammer.

I am gonna be 2IC of an Applebee's somewhere.

Yeah, we've all been walking the line.

You gotta know that Bravo 1 has been up Command's ass

trying to get us back in the fire.

Damn right.

I bet Mr. "All In All the Time"

used our heroics in Umea to remind Command

what we can do when we're off the sidelines.

Well, whatever it is, we can handle it.

Ain't exactly "Win one for the Gipper," Jace.

- Let's go. - (claps hands)

(indistinct chatter)

They brought in the C.O.

I think we just walked the Green Mile.

As soon as the meeting's over,

report to personnel.

There's a couple visitors would like a word.

Why?

Just passing along the message.

When I received the honor of taking command of DEVGRU,

I assumed my time would be devoted

to guiding the most lethal fighting force on Earth,

but much of my bandwidth

has been consumed by the question:

What to do with Bravo Team?

Doesn't sound promising.

WALCH: Many within these walls see Bravo

as a bunch of washed-up renegades.

Disobeying orders in Sweden

by going off base seems only to have validated that view.

Well, Bravo's track record speaks for itself, sir.

We got a lot of wins under our belt.

But none on my watch.

You haven't earned any sweat equity with me.

So, consider this to be your best

and final chance to do so.

Lieutenant Davis.

(Jason clears throat)

DAVIS: Special Operations Command is undergoing

a shift away from counterterrorism

to broader deterrence of our most powerful rival nations.

As a part of this, Bravo Team will be partnering

with the DEA for a joint task force

focused on the fentanyl trade.

That's a lot of words to say we're going after drug dealers.

Trip south of the border, kicking cartel doors?

That works for us, right?

Tier One operators strapping with the DEA.

What's the value in that?

The value is that this op will allow the U.S.

to strike a blow against our most formidable rival.

China.

DAVIS: China produces the chemical precursors that become

the illicit fentanyl that killed over

100,000 Americans last year.

Although Chinese criminal syndicates

are the ones that are trafficking the precursors,

they do so with the direct support of their government.

Drugs sow chaos in the West,

it gives China an edge, but one team of frogmen

is not gonna be able to put a dent in that.

By targeting and disrupting a specific trafficking syndicate,

the Sai Lou, we hope to find evidence

that they are supported by CCP leadership in Beijing.

When nonaligned states in the region

are presented with that proof,

their allegiance will shift towards us.

So, make 'em see China as a sleazy dope dealer,

they cozy up to Uncle Sam.

It's a long way from kicking doors and chasing AQ dirtbags.

Operations like this are the next era of warfare.

Invisible tactics with global consequences.

Evolve or fall behind.

ERIC: Bravo will be based at the American consulate

in Bangkok, Thailand

and should expect to run operations

throughout the Golden Triangle of Southeast Asia.

Wheels up, 1100 tomorrow.

From deplorable to deployable.

Whatever you did worked, boss.

- Got what we wanted. - That's right.

Back in the fight.

Sir.

I have some serious concerns about this op.

Clearly, Bravo does, too.

You felt Jason and Ray's hesitation in there.

I'll admit they did seem a bit subdued.

Even Quinn. Didn't know he could do subdued.

Well, it seems like they're feeling

the same thing that I am.

That they're being set up to fail.

Excuse me?

This mission is critical to our cold war with China

and a proving ground for SOCOM's new methods.

Forcing it on the back of a team that is undermanned

and out of practice doesn't make sense.

They're the only team.

This pivot away from the war on terror

may loom large in your eyes,

but there's still plenty of skepticism here at DEVGRU.

Yes, that has been made very clear, sir.

You pick the op,

the skeptics in Command pick the team.

And with all the other units deployed

on what they consider to be higher priorities...

They put this op on a team

that has been mothballed for months.

Are we really letting a power play

by some DEVGRU dinosaurs

doom this initiative before it even starts?

Let me see what our options are.

(lock beeps, latch clicks)

Oh.

Between you and me,

sideline bench was starting to feel pretty cozy.

You know, Ray, nobody's gonna blink

if you want to just stay at home,

run out the clock.

No way I'm gonna pass on the chance to, uh,

end my career rolling hot with my brothers.

I do get the sense, uh,

that you're not so eager to slap on the war paint yourself,

with how you were shook after Sweden and all.

Nah, I'm good.

I'm solid.

Yeah, I'm just, uh,

more concerned about the fact that, uh,

this is happening in Southeast Asia,

you know, for you.

Last time we were there, man, you were spiraling.

You know, problems with the family,

drinking.

Only time I ever took a swing at you.

Which is really why--

I don't want to be ducking uppercuts

until you get to the finish line.

Going back there doesn't mean

returning to the man I was, brother.

Yeah.

You know, if this is the whole new way of

running Spec Ops...

...why do you think that they're trusting us

to launch this op?

Everyone else is deployed.

We're their only players.

And to think we trusted

those forward-thinkers to make a move on TBI.

You know, last time I went to see Blackburn

about, uh, Trent's punishment, Walch was there.

And I-I swear, the only thing he was thinking about

was not pissing off his SOCOM boss Rivas.

Whose pet project now rests on Bravo's shoulders.

What a difference a few hours makes.

The one thing that Walch cares about is in our hands.

And that gives us leverage.

Why don't we use it?

Yeah.

(knocking)

Petty Officer Quinn.

Yes, sir.

What's this regarding, sir?

My colleagues and I understand you've been

keeping something hidden from us.

Sir?

Apparently, you've taken it upon yourself

to pursue some extracurricular activity.

Um...

I'm not sure what you mean, sir.

It never fails to surprise me what our sailors are capable of.

The innovative ways in which they apply their training.

Innovative? Uh...

It's not a charge I've been slapped with before, sir.

The under-plate medkit you designed.

(chuckles)

This is about my medkit?

I heard it was a literal lifesaver

on a recent operation in Mosul.

We believe it has the potential to become a key addition

to every operator's equipment.

Would you be interested in working with R&D to develop it?

Shit yeah, sir.

Good.

WALCH: I'll grant there's some irony.

The urgency to deploy Bravo

when you haven't been winning hearts and minds inside Command.

But as Captain Walch said earlier,

this mission should serve as a reset

to put Bravo back in good standing.

Well, that's why we came to see you, sir.

We don't think that Bravo's deployable.

- Excuse me? - JASON: Oh, the TBI

that Command has been dragging its feet on,

it's-- I'm just concerned

that I could get a flare-up and I...

could be unfit for duty.

And after that mall attack in Sweden,

my PTS might rear its ugly head again.

(chuckles) Let me guess.

If steps were taken on the warfighter health front,

it might ease both your symptoms?

Otherwise you're gonna have to inform Admiral Rivas

that his initiative's first op

can't be executed.

Felt more genuine when you offered up your Trident

in exchange for Bravo being reinstated, Hayes.

Lucky for you two,

the hand you're trying to force

is one I've been pressing for myself.

I informed you, Master Chief,

Lieutenant Blackburn had a TBI proposal on my desk.

Next week there's a meeting

to discuss earmarked funds for exactly that proposal.

Not good enough.

Sailors, you are way out of line

- trying to shake down the... - Okay, okay.

(sighs)

Let's make that meeting happen today.

It won't just be talk.

You have my word.

Satisfied?

I'm feeling better already.

Sir.

(music playing faintly)

(phone chimes)

CHELSEA: Drew.

- Chelsea. - Hey, Chelsea.

I've been, uh, I've been hoping we'd run into each other.

You have?

Yeah, you know, I lost my phone after we, uh,

you know, we met.

Does that actually ever work?

We've never met before, have we?

You'd remember if we had.

Hmm.

You're the podcaster my sister warned me about.

Not really sure a Navy SEAL needs to be warned about me.

I just want to talk to you about your family.

Why?

It's been 200 years since a Franklin

did anything worthwhile.

The Franklins have been a fixture

of American business and politics

since the 19th century.

My project is a deep dive across the family saga,

across generations right up to the present.

You seem to be an outlier in the clan.

You mean you've heard I have enough of an axe to grind

that I'll spill all the tea.

Oh, I've dug up plenty of juicy stuff myself.

- Mm. - You know your great-great-uncle Thaddeus

founded a Vermont sex cult?

(phone beeps)

Well, enticing as this sounds,

I'm being called in to work.

Hey, meet me here tomorrow morning.

8:00.

And you can try to convince me to help you.

Here's my number.

Just in case you lose your phone again.

You called in to see Blackburn, too?

Got creative with some demo charges.

I'm hoping they don't ding me too hard.

Yeah, you want to help your case,

don't let 'em see you anywhere near me.

Come on in.

Some news, Petty Officer.

Sir.

You're being assigned full-time to Bravo Team.

Sir, I'm...

I'm committed to an intensive Pro Dev itinerary.

Lockpicking school and tactical Jet Ski training?

It's crucial skills for a well-rounded frogman.

Or evasive actions

by one who has dodged

being part of a team for much of his tenure at DEVGRU.

That ends now.

Report to your team leader Master Chief Hayes.

Well, you ever hear the one about my dad

being a senator, sir?

You're a great operator, Drew.

But it's been long enough since you've been a team guy.

Like it or not, you're part of Bravo now.

Hey, Davis, wait up.

Ah, so much for discretion. (chuckles)

Uh, the Navy brass meeting wasn't about Decker at all.

What meeting? What Navy brass?

Uh, don't worry.

Turns out, they're...

more interested in my brain than my brawn.

Sonny, I'm not following.

The under-the-plate medkit that I was tinkering on after Mali?

Well, they, uh, maybe want to start using it.

- Sonny, that is amazing. - I know, right?

In caveman days, the ability to make tools

was a big step up from flinging feces.

- I'm proud of you. - (chuckles)

And Clay would be, too.

Thanks.

Um...

(clears throat)

The Decker investigation?

It's still active.

And Bravo is, too.

Finally.

You know that, uh, that gig you set up for us?

It's a worthy comeback.

Well, just stay smart.

You know, the brass kind of sees me as,

like, an Einstein with an M4 now.

Just saying.

(lock beeps, latch clicks)

Trent Warfare.

You're back. What's up, brother?

Hey, man, good to see you.

Well, Blackburn wanted to plus up Bravo.

So, got me an early release from LOGSU.

(chuckles): Yeah.

What the hell's this?

What the hell you doing here, huh?

- Jace? - Yeah?

What's the Lone Ranger doing here?

Drew's also been assigned full-time to us.

Yeah, our one-night stand became a shotgun wedding.

How many steps has Bravo lost

if Command is looking to me to plus you up?

Well, maybe Bravo 1 will straighten you out.

What we need is a solid shooter with sniper skills.

Take any open cage you want.

- Already got one. - What? Where?

Just tell me what time to be on the tarmac tomorrow.

So, you gonna bleed Bravo?

Take that full metal jacket off and stay a while.

Wheels up at 1100.

# #

(scoffs)

One minute you're counting supplies,

the next you're leading the tip of the spear.

Mm-hmm.

The Navy's sense of timing remains unmatched.

Well, the guys don't seem to mind.

And what about you?

Oh... I'm great. I mean...

the fact that, uh, you know, Walch

is taking this whole TBI thing seriously now

because of this mission, I'm good.

(Cerberus whines)

And I know how important that win is for you,

but I mean, you've actually been enjoying your downtime.

I can't imagine you're eager

to ramp back into battle so fast.

No, no, no, no, no. No battling.

I mean, according to Davis, this is a whole new era of warfare.

Okay, but Sweden was supposed to be safe, too.

- Right? - Mm-hmm.

You came home worried about what being

back downrange could do to the balance you found.

I was just rattled from being on the sidelines

for too long, that's why.

It's not like I'm going to Fallujah here.

(chuckles) Right?

And if Davis is right,

then it's not going to affect the progress that I've made.

Okay.

(Mandy sighs)

Kids are knocked out.

- Yeah? - Yeah.

They wanted me to, uh,

promise this'll be the last time I leave.

And?

I said six weeks from now,

I'm home forever.

All right.

I just, uh...

wish I could stick around to rustle up more

Spenser House funding after I blew that pitch this morning.

You didn't blow anything, babe.

Besides, you're not the only one in the family

- who can press the flesh. - Mm.

I'll keep the checks coming in while you're deployed.

I know you will.

Mmm.

But it did kind of feel like you'd rather face bullets

than Mr. Lettow's questions.

Babe... between shore duty

and getting my retirement in order,

touring him around just reminded me of how much I missed out on.

Okay.

Well, once you're done with Bravo,

it'll be good for you to spend more time actually

at Spenser House.

See the impact you're making.

- Right. - Yeah.

I'll be there.

Soon, baby.

- Okay. - Soon.

(gunshot)

- (muffled groaning) - (gunfire)

(woman screaming)

(gasps): Geez!

Fuck.

(grunts, exhales)

(groans)

(exhaling deeply)

(music playing faintly)

Does the Navy mind when you show up 20 minutes late?

Much like you, they clearly think I'm worth waiting for.

So, I wrote up some of the topics

I'd like to get into with you.

Just to be transparent.

Inbreeding, substance abuse,

corporate malfeasance...

...and satanism.

No, I might have to listen to this.

I know there's a lot of questions

surrounding your mother, so I was thinking...

I'm being shipped overseas today.

For how long?

Long enough for you to need a new family informant.

Then why are you here?

If this isn't my chance to convince you of an interview...

what is it?

Oh, it's two attractive people with a couple of free hours

you know, before one of them heroically flies off

to put his life in danger?

No, you're a journalist,

and you see the possibilities.

This is exactly what I was warned to expect from you.

Yeah?

And what else did you hear?

In and out of elite boarding schools since the fourth grade.

At 19, you finally cut ties with your family

to find a new one with the Navy.

The question I had was how that worked out for you.

Have a nice trip.

When I get back...

...you know, maybe you can ask me some questions.

(jet screeching overhead)

Hmm.

(lock beeps, latch clicks)

- You ready to roll? - Yeah.

RAY: You know, deployment might be a blessing in disguise.

Help you whip Bravo back into shape before I pop smoke.

Yeah. Hey, listen, man, can you do something else for me?

Yeah.

Can you, uh, put this in my burn box for me, will you?

- What is it? - Nothing.

Kind of "nothing" you need me to torch

- if you don't come back? - It's nothing, Ray.

Just put it in my burn box, will you?

All right.

But last week

you were making plans for family trips, and...

now something's got you thinking about the end of the line?

Come on, let's go. Put it in the burn box, will you?

- All right. - Thanks.

Let's roll.

All right.

# #

MILES: Welcome to Thailand.

I'm Special Agent in Charge Samantha Miles.

DEA's happy to have your support.

Well, happy to be here.

Well, between Bangkok, the Phi Phi Islands, and Phuket,

expect more laughs than a hotter night

- at the chuckle hut. - To be clear,

low-hanging fruit's for Sonny's jokes,

- not our ops. - Oh, I've experienced SEAL "sense of humor."

It's why I had them bolt down most of the furniture here.

(lock chimes)

- (beeps) - Thank you.

Bravo's living and working quarters.

And my office is just down the hall.

I'll let you settle in,

then come back and brief you up.

- Oh. - Whatever works for you.

Suspiciously accommodating for a Tier One unit.

Oh, he's playing nice 'cause Bravo just got off house arrest.

- More of that trademark SEAL humor. - Mm.

Yeah, Bravo 1 is usually pretty quick to mark his territory

on these, uh, joint ops, and him and Ray,

well, they just rolled over to our DEA handler.

Old dogs might've lost a little bite

while we were leashed up.

Well, I think it's gonna be up to me and you

to keep the Bravo pack strong.

Starting with getting Drew

- off Loner Island. - (scoffs)

I sat next to him on the 20-hour flight.

Somehow I know less about him than when we took off.

Okay, hundred bucks to the first person

that gets him to tell us something real about himself.

(laughs) I have been on the receiving end

of your welcome committee. No way he tells you shit.

- You make that $200. - Yeah.

- 200 bucks? - You got it.

After you.

Oh, uh, Brock's securing our gear.

We'll fill him in after.

I take it your in-flight reading

caught you up on the Sai Lou Syndicate?

Yes, Chinese triad that ships precursor chemicals

from the mainland down to Mexico,

where the cartels turn it into fentanyl.

MILES: One of the shipping routes used by the Sai Lou traffickers

stops to refuel here.

Heron Reef, among the Spratly Islands

in the South China Sea.

Your mission will be to find a way

to exploit the Sai Lou ship

to gain further intel into their trafficking operations.

Intel our bosses at SOCOM can mine for proof

the Chinese government is tied into the fentanyl trade.

MILES: Along with helping the DEA clamp down

- on the flow of drugs. - You're hoping SEALs will reduce drug flow?

Must not get theTimes over here.

S.A. op targeting a cargo ship. That's no problem.

Problem is, Heron Reef is a contested island,

with China claiming it as their own.

They've built infrastructure,

they patrol it with security boats.

It is effectively Chinese territory.

Which means a Chinese-sized fallout if anything goes wrong.

MILES: Any hint of your presence will likely be seen as an act of war.

So this must be zero-footprint, with no shots fired.

Well, it just depends how big the trouble gets

- in little China... - You heard her.

No shots fired. Got it?

We'll stay in the shadows.

You all understand what you're up against.

I'll leave you to it.

Look, I'm telling you, simplest option--

just dive from an indig boat

and attach an RFID to the ship's hull.

Allows tracking of its movements,

even if the ship is spoofing GPS and sat signals.

What if they get sly with the cargo,

swap the barrels of precursor to another ship along the way?

We need trackers on the barrels themselves.

That means boarding and getting all the way

down to the cargo hold.

It just dials up the risk of discovery.

Not for ninjas like us. Even while holding fire.

Come on. 100,000 dead Americans a year.

Be nice to know where this poison's headed.

All right, look, we're on two teams then.

One dives, attaches the tracker to the bottom of the hull,

the other does a hook-and-climb, finds the barrels and tags them.

All right, the boarding team

should also carry a cell sniffer.

We get close to any of the Chinese crew,

ripping their phone might give us

some additional intel, eh?

Now, this dock's a good spot

for me to take overwatch.

(chuckling): Oh, my God.

Always angling for a party of one.

Too bad we don't need overwatch.

And I'd rather plus up the boarding team.

DREW: One team's underwater,

the other's burrowed below deck.

Like you need someone watching out for you.

That right, Bravo 1?

Ray, with Drew on overwatch.

- (Ray affirms) - Thank you.

What?

Ringo is going solo here, and we also lose Paul?

Are you fucking serious?

One is none. Set of eyes for each team.

Call signs.

- (tapping on table) - Drew, uh...

(clears throat)

Bravo 6.

(tapping on table)

I hate it.

I fucking hate it, but, uh...

Bravo can't live with a, a hole in its lineup.

# #

- Moving out in five. - All right. Um...

Uh, look, before we go, uh...

Jason and Drew.

Seem like Bravo 1's giving him

a much softer new guy welcome than usual?

(chuckles) With Jason's TBI as public knowledge now,

Drew's not the threat that you were.

Yeah.

Are you sure that's all?

I've seen him manage guys differently

based on what they need.

Or what Jason needs, at any given time.

What does Jason need right now?

'Cause, um, as his 2IC,

it's on me to back him up.

(locks case)

Look... (sighs)

I know it may seem like

I'm on the world's longest retirement tour.

- (chuckles) - But, uh,

this will be you and Jason's show

soon enough, okay?

- Yeah. - Come on.

Almost 20 years with the man,

and he's still a puzzle to me some days.

But if he drops any hints, I'll be sure to let you know.

- Yeah. (chuckles) - All right?

- All right. - Let's go.

(boat horn blowing)

# #

They should be surfacing any second.

Overwatch, this is 1.

Derigged and boarding.

Copy that, 1, we got you covered.

Overwatch, this is Bravo 4. Tracker is on the hull.

Copy, Bravo 4.

(ship crew conversing in Mandarin)

# #

# #

(hinge creaks)

Jackpot. Gallons of chemical painkiller.

Emphasis on "killer."

JASON: Tag the barrels, let's roll.

Trent and Brock are below 100 bars on their air.

And they can't tread water forever.

Come on, Jason.

(crew speaking Mandarin)

You okay, boss?

No, they're loading up more of the fentanyl chemical on board.

Well, we already used all our trackers. We're good.

Yeah, but where is it coming from?

This ain't the time or place for pondering.

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.

The ship's doing more than refueling.

Mako 1, where's this cargo coming from?

Bravo 1, coming from a smaller vessel docked nearby.

You need to exfil, Bravo 1.

JASON: Negative, Mako 1.

(crew speaking Mandarin)

We're not done here yet.

(liquid sloshing)

Give me the sniffer.

Bravo 1, we're pressing hard for time on target.

Advise we exfil now.

One mike, Mako 1.

I'm ripping phones here.

(beeping quietly)

(cart wheels rumbling)

Come on.

(patrolmen speaking Mandarin)

Bravo 1, we got a problem.

Patrol boat incoming.

Still downloading. Come on...

Come on, come on.

That spotlight's digging into every corner.

There's no way it misses them.

JASON: Got what we need, we're ready to move.

Bravo 1, hold what you got.

Light's gonna catch you if you move.

We're sitting Peking ducks.

Maybe shore duty wasn't so bad.

Son of a bitch.

We got to draw that patrol boat away from them.

DREW: I could take a shot at that crane.

Snap the cable.

A crashing payload could get the boat's attention.

Subsonic round won't sever that cable.

Unsuppressed just draws more attention. No shots fired.

I got an idea.

Be right back.

Where the hell are you going?

Drew, where you going?

(speaking Mandarin)

# #

(engine starts)

(tires squealing)

What the hell was that?

(patrolman speaks Mandarin)

(crew speaking Mandarin)

JASON: Now's our chance to move.

Move. Move.

(patrolmen speak Mandarin)

Come on, Drew.

Come on, Drew, where are you?

DREW: Okay.

(sighs)

The next time you try something that crazy,

you run it by us first.

Would you rather have six opinions weighing in

or seven guys swimming out?

JASON: Mako 1, this is Bravo 1. We're good.

Copy, Bravo 1.

- (rock music playing) - (groaning)

SONNY: You know, I, uh, I washed up in here once

when I was a pollywog, they had a--

they had a boxing ring out here

and they had these freaking cobras.

- (laughter) - Yeah. Yeah.

And they'd go after each other.

What?

No, no, no. I saw it, too.

I saw it, too, yeah.

One of them even had a little Don King wig on it.

- He did not. - Yeah, yeah, yes, he did. - No.

A Don King wig. (laughs)

- He stole the other snakes' money. True story. - (laughter)

- It happened! - (laughter continues)

Here's to this old-ass bar and to this new era of warfare.

- Yep. - Cheers to that.

- Cheers. - To Bravo.

- Oh, Bravo. - (chuckling)

Whoo! All right.

Another round, I'll fill us up. You guys good?

- Yep. - All right.

Drew, you good?

- Hey. Hey. (whistles) - BARTENDER: Coming up.

Fill that up there.

- Thanks, man. - You got it.

I just cannot figure Drew out.

I mean, he's sitting over there all cactus-prickly

after going full send to impress us on the op.

I don't think he's looking to impress us, Ray.

RAY: What do you mean?

What, you see something I don't?

Tell you what. Put this on his tab, okay?

- No, you-- No. - Yeah.

He's got a whole new retirement fund coming.

You don't need to do that.

I don't think there have been two of us on a team before.

"Us"?

I have been sober six years.

Well, good for you.

Or condolences. Whichever.

(chuckles) It isn't easy, right?

I mean, turning down a beer on the team

will get you more sideways looks than an ISIS tattoo.

I never noticed.

(clears throat) No doubt it's worth it.

Me? I-I'm never going back to before.

Marriage imploding, you know, everybody getting hurt.

Listen, you ever need a shoulder to lean on...

- Well, thanks. - Mm.

Can I get a double whiskey neat?

Mm, mm.

What's going on here, fellas?

Some deep personal revelations, hmm?

Some... Hmm?

- Some enriching conversations? - Here you are.

I'm gonna dump my trash

and check the jukebox for something loud and drowny.

Wait, oh, look at these. What do we have here?

Some fries. You mind if I, if I dip into these?

- These last fries of yours? - Knock yourself out.

That's pretty good, man.

Pretty good.

(grunts)

I didn't get shit. Guy's a piece of work.

Piece of work that I just bonded with.

- What? - Oh, yeah.

I can feel it. (whoops)

- Where? - Right in my back pocket where that money's going.

(laughter)

(quiet chatter)

The trackers on the Sai Lou ship

and the barrels of fentanyl precursor

are all live and transmitting.

Bravo delivered.

ANAYLST: They also managed to hack

the cell phones of three traffickers.

And you're mining that data?

Which looks promising. Travel patterns, contacts...

Operators went above and beyond.

Good work, IS-2.

If the skeptics in Command thought that tossing

a struggling team into this initiative would undermine it...

Bravo just took round one.

(country music playing)

If you're gonna thank me for saving you again, no need.

You know, that, uh...

that move that you, uh,

you pulled with the truck back on that last op,

you know, it's a fine line between

being brave and reckless.

Yeah, it wasn't either of those.

You really think I'd martyr myself for this group?

You know, I know what happened to you.

Back in your past.

Well, that's fucking great.

And so you're all gonna be even more up in my shit?

No. They don't need to know anything.

It's none of their business.

Then what is this?

I just need to know that your past and your demons

aren't calling the shots here.

According to DEVGRU legend,

you know, Bravo 1 crushes skulls,

but he doesn't shrink 'em.

You know something?

You're not the only one carrying something heavy.

I'm walking back.

On my own.
