Everybody remain calm, deep breath,

and focus on making sure

that we got those lighting cues tightened up.

- Hi, I'm Tamar.

- I'm Alex.

- And this is "Last Looks".

(upbeat music)

- Tonight, you are in for a treat. (chortles weirdly)

(upbeat music)

- [Tamar] Jeremy AKA Boris.

We called it the Vintage Horror Host

and I was really excited when Bruce pitched it.

Tell me all about the hair and makeup for Jeremy.

- [Alex] Our inspiration was horror host.

You look them up, they do their own makeup.

It's very poorly done.

There's no really shading, it's just blocking out features,

paling out their skin, big, black circle eyes.

And so we tried to mirror that a bit,

but elevated a little bit,

and so we did the custom facial hair.

There's a company named John Blake

that makes these like pre-made beards and wigs,

so we cut up a John Blake beard for the bottom half

and styled it in unique way. - [Tamar] Got it.

And then you had the idea to do kind

of these weird Salvador Dali

eyebrows. - [Alex] Eyebrows.

So those are something I personally made, I ventilate,

which is the process of individually tying each knot of hair

into a lace piece that can be a beard,

a mustache, a wig, a merkin.

It is a hand tied hairpiece.

And so with the eyebrows, I wanted that length.

- These eyebrows are just too much.

Ooh.

(upbeat music)

- [Tamar] Jeremy was one of our last talent to be cast

and I had seen him on the "Game Changer"

episode. - [Paul] Rulette.

- [Tamar] Rulette.

- Jeremy's been on my list for the last few seasons.

Fun fact, Jeremy was my economics tutor

when I first got to LA. - [Tamar] Really?

- Jeremy tutored me in economics and I failed.

I failed the class. And look at where we are now.

To me, you sort of look like a divorced magician.

- Some people are like that.

- [Vic] He, to me, is a very similar side of the coin

to like an Anna Garcia who was Zeke last season

and Princess Emily.

I think that they have a very similar play style

where it just comes from like this place of joy within them

and it's just like really infectious

and you can just tell they're having fun.

(Jeremy growling seductively)

- [Vic] Okay.

(Jeremy growling seductively) Okay, so.

- I thought the game that Jeremy chose to play,

which is that he was there looking for love

was such a like sweet and novel approach.

- [Vic] We could have every single character this season

that were just looking for love.

We could do an entire season that's all first dates.

- The lighting guy?

We sucked each other down and then talked about our parents.

(both laughing)

(upbeat music)

- This season you had an on-set therapist

who was played by Alex Fernie.

- Yes, it was such a dream having him this season.

He's sort of like my longest standing improv coach,

for having him on set

and be able to be sort of our on-set improv coach

as well as playing my therapist,

really was full circle for me and was such a dream.

My head. - You know, we're outta time

and I do have other patients, okay?

- Who?

- [Therapist] So I'm just gonna go.

- What are their names? - [Therapist] I'm not gonna

tell you their names. - What are their addresses?

Where do they live? - I'm not gonna

tell you their names. - All right. Yeah.

No, love you.

(upbeat music)

- [Alex] This show is really improv for the crew as well.

So when we found out what Jeremy was gonna be,

Danelle had pitched a lighting cue.

- Ay caramba lightning.

(rhythm music) (thunder rumbles)

- No, there's so many different lighting cues.

- While we were kissing, we programmed.

- I thought what was so interesting about that too

is like it wasn't pre-planned

that then I would call for lightning

and no lightning would appear. - Right, totally. (laughs)

- And it's perfect

'cause of course that's how the crew feels

about the host.

- Lightning. - No, no.

Well, I can do that also.

So Ready? Lightning.
