which broke out on June 25, 1950 and raged for three years.

Most of the events of the Korean War have been dramatically recreated

and do not reflect any actual individuals or troops.

After participating in taking down North Korean guerrilla fighters,

Jang Woo returned to his hometown

and learns of his beloved Su Yeon's plan to marry.

After 2 long years,

the couple's poignant meeting lasted just one day.

The Korean War broke out,

and the couple had no choice, but to part again.

Burning with intense jealousy, Tae Ho

becomes determined to put Jang Woo in detention,

after Jang Woo disobeys his order during a local draft.

Ultimately, Jang Woo gets sent to training

to become what was referred to at the time as a human bullet shield Platoon Leader.
