One summer Sunday in 1860, Mr. Dufour,
owner of a Parisian hardware store,

borrowed a milk cart
and set off to commune with nature,

accompanied by his wife,
mother-in-law and daughter,

as well as his shop boy Anatole,
his future son-in-law and successor.
