was injured in a fight.

The serpent goddess transformed herself into a young woman

to save Prince Chaiyawong.

They became so close that it turns into love.

The legend has it

that the prince fell head over heels for the goddess Anyawadee.

So he asked her to move with him to Intakhet.

But the king was discontent

for his son was bound to marry

Princess Kamyadfah of Katasila,

The serpent goddess turned into a monstrous snake

To stop the goddess, Phakam, the royal priest,

put an enchantment on her, making her wounded.

The goddess fled to her cave.

But General Norasingh and Phakam followed her in pursuit.

In the end, Phakam used the mantra of Nagaraja gems

to seal her spirit inside a statue.

The prince felt tremendously guilty

He offered his treasure and oblations to be put in her cave

and built this temple to house the goddess's fang.
