I'm proud of myself 'cause I didn't think I was

I just think you really have to address

why you're so addicted to it.

Well, I think it's because there's nicotine,

and they're just like so easy to use.

I mean, it smells nice.

I am in awe every single day of how she juggles

all that she does, her business, her acting, her children,

and then to still decide that she wanted to take on this huge thing.

This is a monster.

I'm so proud of her that represents so much

of what she's really made of.

Kim Kardashian walked into this program

with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice.

This whole process of law school has taken a village.

It really started with Van Jones

who recommended I do this program.

Then it went into my attorneys, Jessica and Erin,

who really mentored me in reform work.

So it just means a lot to me that everyone

that's been on this six-year journey with me is here.

Kim has dedicated 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year

for six straight years.

That's a total of 5,184 hours of legal study.

[Kim] This month has been insane.

The only thing on my mind is taking the baby bar.

You are only allowed to take the baby bar

a certain amount of times.

This was the last time I could ever take it.

Alright, guys, I love you all, but I'm kicking you out

'cause I have to study.

I feel like a [bleep] zombie.

I haven't gotten out of my pajamas.

And once I realized that I can make a difference,

it was really kind of hard to stop.

We need the faith leaders to get to the governor.

I talked to ChatGPT, and I asked them

how many people has Kim Kardashian helped free?

Anywhere from 500 to 70,000,

and they are home free because of you.

Kim has always had such a sense of fairness and justice,

and that's why I think she got so involved

and is so involved in prison reform.

He's at risk of being executed.

[reporter] This morning, a death row inmate

who's claimed his innocence for more than 20 years

is set to be executed.

Unless Oklahoma's governor intervenes.

[Kim] This is a life-or-death situation.

The system is broken.

[Scott Budnick] [over phone] The governor commuted his sentence.

Oh, my God, are you serious?

[Scott Budnick] Like, last possible freakin' minute.

No one's ever really respected, you know, a reality star.

And I've always had to, like, break through this stigma

and, like, I wanna prove this to myself that I can do it.

And ultimately a huge like [bleep] you to everybody, too,

that thought that I can't grow

or move beyond where I was.

For nearly three years, Kim worked to helped to get me free.

Kim, I want to tell you, thank you.

I got two daughters, um, seven grandchildren.

This isn't just about one person.

This is about an entire family's life

who got completely ripped apart.

Then they'd say he should have been executed.

They don't have to worry, 'cause I've been executed tons of times.

[Charles Keith] When you see something that's wrong

and you say, "I can't accept it, I've gotta say something."

Absolutely.

Well, I'm here to say something.

After 25 years

and nine months behind bars,

her belief in me and her dedication to justice helped bring me home.

Your mother is literally in history books now,

as a person that championed my case

and humanized it.

You gave me, like, purpose.

You gave me freedom.

Kim has an "S" on her chest.

She's a super mom,

she's a super businesswoman,

and she's a super advocate and soon to be a super attorney.

Hearing these speeches and taking it all in

and understanding how supported I feel...

that really helped me get to this place

really is giving me the fuel that I'll need

to go into the bar.

If a second chance ever does come then I'm well prepared,

that I know today that I'll never harm another individual again.

I-- I really hope you get that second chance

'cause you are worthy of that.

Seven years ago when you were working on criminal justice,

you were not embraced by anybody.

It's a lonely fight.

You get the smallest grants,

your phone call gets returned last, if at all.

And then a miracle happened.

The biggest star in the world...

a household name.

If you go to Antarctica, the penguins know

going to law school.

And she's doing so many things

in order for the whole system to change.

40,000 human beings right now are free

because of just one of the things that Kim did.

and made an effort and went there to support Kim,
