Previously on The Great Eight, the top eight drivers raced in Las Vegas, Nevada
for $10 ,000 and points toward the individual championship.
My first one, I'm already intimidated by everybody, you know.
In his first ever Great Eight appearance, Murder Nova put the entire
notice as he took out points leader, Kai Keller.
Then he went on to win a close race against Kayla Morton.
Going to the final.
I mean, we'll go try to get this win.
Nate Thaler had some good luck on his side as Damon Merchant's engine cut out
and gave him the win in round one.
They're going to get the win.
Then he took out Axeman in round two to meet Murder Nova in the finals.
Yeah, baby.
I'll get that money, baby.
Murder Nova gets the win.
Sean won his first grade eight event of the season and collected points towards
that individual championship.
To never be in a grade 8, come out the first time I was in grade 8 and win it
and beat all those people that are in the grade 8, there's no feeling like it.
Now today we're in Ohio where the top 8 drivers will battle it out once again.
Ohio, how you doing?
We are here at Dragway 42, located in West Salem, Ohio.
This is our first time here. It is a very beautiful facility. This track
its doors in 1957, and it is just an hour south of Cleveland.
We're a lot closer to sea level, which is a huge change after spending a few
weeks in the mountains and even in Vegas.
It's also cooler than the temperatures we've been dealing with.
Lower elevation and cooler temp means the engine can breathe easier and
more horsepower.
Every driver will have to make big adjustments to what they've been doing.
Right now, Kai Kelly is still sitting number one in points, but last week he
went out in the very first round, which means he gained no points whatsoever,
which allowed other drivers to make up some ground.
Here's how it works. If you win the grade A, you get 10 points. Plus, you
get $10 ,000.
If you runner up, you get seven. And if you make it to the semifinals, you will
get three.
Those points go towards an individual championship that will be worth $100
at the end of the season.
Here we go. Grade 8 driver's meeting starts now.
I would like to say, Kai Kelly really picked it up last weekend. Went out
round. So, yeah.
Murder Nova was our winner.
So you can do it again this weekend and catch up to him.
Robin Roberts, welcome to the great eight. Thank you. I noticed you're not
standing next to Nate Saylor, so that's kind of a little bit of a surprise.
Hopefully you all have mended the fences and are friends again, I would hope.
What happened?
They had a little debate.
They had a debate, guys. It wasn't an argument. It was a debate.
They measured it when they came and checked the car. Nobody measured that,
That's why we put the other thing on the bottom of it when they measured it,
because it was five inches.
I can put three fingers under mine, and I can put three fingers under yours. You
can't. You cannot put three fingers under yours, dude. I walked up and
it. Oh, you guys got in the car when I... Whatever.
I drag it past.
Then we get to the end of the track, and everybody... Oh, you're cheating.
You're cheating. So they said the fender on my car is too low.
Oh, jeez!
Good for you. Hey, good for you. You guys are illegal.
Good for you. Oh, neither is yours.
What, was both cars legal?
Yeah, I don't know.
Were they?
One was far off and one was just missing.
So I cheated, but not a lot. I didn't cheat as much as the other guy.
I cheated, but I didn't cheat as much as this guy, so I shouldn't be counting on
it. That's all I want to know if y 'all were past it. It sounds like you are.
You were both past it of what happened last weekend. That's good.
All right, let's go ahead and draw a chip.
Stop looking at me, Dave.
Are you red or blue?
All right.
Where are my number ones?
Damon Merchant and Lizzie Musi. All right. That's going to be a good one.
into the first round with Drew Lizzie. Haven't raced her in a while. I'm not
quite sure how Rogue stacks up against that new Bonnie. So we're just going to
go out there, race our race, do everything we can to get down the track
as possible.
Number twos.
I don't know, babe. Murder Nova. Oh, rematch. Murder Nova and Kai Kelly.
Keep doing it. I'm going to get you.
I drew Murder Nova again, the one that took me out last week, and hopefully we
can break that cycle. All right, number three,
Axeman and Robin Roberts.
I drew Robin Roberts.
Can't say that was my favorite pick. He just put me out at the last race in the
Invitational, so going into this, I kind of don't.
I know he's fast.
We're going to tune this hot rod up, roll up there, and give it hell.
Which means our fourth and final pair is Kayla Morton and Nate Taylor.
I've never even raced Nate, so honestly I'm kind of excited to see where we
stack up against each other because we're so close in points. So it should
pretty even matchup as long as both cars make the trip.
Y 'all know who you're racing. Go back into the pits. Get your cars ready.
That's all I got, guys. Good luck.
It's nasty enough.
Maintenance is nasty.
Sometimes, dirty job, you know? It's a dirty job.
Somebody's got to do it.
We had a long journey over here. We had a detour back to Oklahoma.
Had to get some work done.
Made some changes to the car.
Changed rods.
Got it for the beginning of this eastern swing.
Everything is slick.
Even though...
We may not have exactly an idea how the car's going to run in this air.
I think we can get a handle on it pretty quick.
God dang, I made a mess, bro.
Probably going to have to be like 900 on the bottles.
What is the air? Did we even look? It's got to be killer.
Probably now it's got better.
Forget it.
Oh, it's not even that bad.
Well, 2300.
pretty good yeah it's pretty good but i thought maybe it was like 900 or
something we came all the way back from the mountains now we're back to like
somewhat sea level which is nice for for the nitrous cars but you know actually
have damon merchant first round first pair out that's a rough draw for me
congrats on the win by the way yeah never really thought i'd get one of
don't say it shut up you're killing it you're killing it this year but to come
in
What? Like, after watching y 'all run for so long. Oh, well.
You worked your ass off to get where you are, so, you know.
It was a lot of uncertainty, I'll say that, and then to come in and do it. It
was a weird feeling.
I think it's badass.
Somebody told me the first one, you'll never get that feeling again.
Yeah, oh, it's huge.
It's definitely a cool feeling.
All right, good luck, you say?
Okay.
The weather is taking a little twist for us because it's cooler out, we make a
lot more power, so we know the track's good, the air's good, so I think we
detune it enough to make a good run.
But he's got to figure it out.
First pair here in this grade 8 first round race. It's going to be a good one.
Over in the right lane, that is Damon Merchant.
Damon Merchant in the right lane going up against Lizzie Mucey. Lizzie Mucey in
the left lane.
Grade 8 starts now.
Lucille, get the win. Damon Merchant goes red.
Hey,
that went in hard.
He jumped. It went too hard in, yeah.
Man, it was deep.
Stage, and he double bowled real quick, and I'm like, all right, fine. I go in
finally, and light turns green.
I leave, and it's fun to find out he went red, so I end up getting the win on
that one.
It is what it is. It's racing.
People go red. It happens.
Good.
I mean, it makes you feel, like, complete.
You're riding this high coming off of a race that you dominate, and you come
here and you run really good.
But, man, I wanted to get two more rounds in and take home that $10 ,000.
That's how I've been doing this, like getting into money, winning money, and
funding it through that, which nobody thought we would be able to do coming
into this deal.
It's our first year.
Nobody gave us a chance, and we proved them wrong, and we know we're killing
I mean, we know we've got a hot rod right now, and the team's been on point.
It's hard riding this high from Vegas to here, and then something like this
happens. I don't know.
Wish I had your luck, man.
Hey, what?
Hey, I've had nothing but bad luck the last three years, man. You deserve it.
You deserve it. I'm good with it, though. Like, I gave, I let him pick.
I took the trash and everything.
Coming off the win last weekend, I feel confident. You know, the car's fast.
I know now I can run with these cars. But there's one guy that always shines,
you know, Kai Kelly. And who do we draw? We draw him again first. I can't
believe that. Yeah.
Hey, we already know what can be done. Yeah, I know. We're going to see. But
telling you right now, he ain't going to underestimate us again. No. You know
what I mean? He did the first time. He did the first time. And I'm telling you
right now, I'll step it up this race too. It does kind of suck the fact that
last week, whenever I outran him, I believe he underestimated me.
And there's going to be no more of that.
He saw how well my car ran. He knows that I'm competitive with everybody.
And I think he's going to be loaded for Barry this time.
And we're going to do the same.
All right, bro. We'll see you in the staging lane.
Adam had blended brakes earlier and forgot to put that back on.
About to hit the wall.
I heard. It needs a little bit.
I didn't even get a chance to see
how mine and yours race was going. I just took off, and I stepped back, and
of a sudden, it's there.
Oh, it ran over the board. Oh.
Yeah.
We had a test pass. We had a cap come off the brake reservoir, and it got a
little brake fluid underneath the tire.
Kai Kelly has something break. I can still see pieces flying across the
Got a little fluid in the tire. It went left.
We saved the car, so I'm going to put the cap back on, put some new brake
in it, look at the data, and she'll go right down on the next pass.
Good?
Yeah, we left the cap off the brake. Yeah, no.
Did you change your pants over there? No, I didn't have a chance to. It
so quick. Real fast.
Yeah, I heard them say.
There's parts everywhere, and I went, oh, man.
Look, I want to win, but I don't want you to beat me.
We said it last week.
If you can't beat him now, you can't beat him in the final. So, honestly, it
doesn't really matter who I get.
I've said it a whole bunch. We don't really race the person. We race the
and we're going to go as fast as we can possibly go.
Yeah, yeah. Well, it's fixing problems.
Next pair coming at you right here. Going to be a good one.
Rematch from last week, folks.
Over in the left lane, that is going to be Kai Kelly going up against Murder
Nova in the right.
Who can't be amped whenever you outrun Kai Kelly, you know? Kai Kelly's on top
of his game right now.
I let go of the button.
I know I've got a lead. It is definitely not a comfortable lead because I know
the screw blowers make a lot of big end power, and chances are that car's going
to outmile and out me. But I just kept on waiting for him to come around me,
he never did.
Man, I made another good pass, and you outran me again.
I made a good pass.
That was close, though, man.
That was really close. I knew it was going to take an 82 to outrun you, man.
Hey, so we had to shoot for it. I had my wheels up almost the whole way. I know.
No, trust me. I could see your car.
Like, I knew it. Hey, and then there in the beginning, dude, whenever I thought
he was fixing to come around me, he was fixing to come around me, you didn't.
Yeah. We were stuck.
Yeah. No, it was a good race, man. I got to quit drawing you to where I don't
lose a straight eight.
Just like last week, it was a hell of a race between me and Sean, but he just
got me again. So right now he's got my number.
Sometimes that happens.
We're so close that I know he's not going to beat me every time. So next
race, we're going to swing for it, try to give him all we got. So last time,
whenever you said, man, we were stuck.
We were stuck this time.
We were stuck this time. Nice job, man. You too.
Oh, yeah.
Nah.
That housing may not be bent. Usually gears will last a while.
That's the other thing about a heavy car.
Gears don't last as long.
Every weekend, we knock a rear end out.
So we're here in Dragway 42 in Ohio.
We're going into the grade eight.
We changed everything on this hot rod from pistons, rods, gears, stator,
converter. I mean, everything's changed.
The rear end's making like a, when we go back down pit road, you hear a knocking
noise. So we switch the gear. Usually when that happens, the housing's bent.
So in Colorado, we had added compression to the engine and changed the stator.
So we just ran the same stuff in Vegas.
Coming here, the air's a lot better, so we're going back to our old setup.
And for some reason, the car keeps knocking the rear gear out every race.
The axle should just slide right out, so that's usually a sign something's
binding up.
Damn it.
Damn it, damn it, damn it. It's like it starts whining and knocking, so each
race we have to put a new one in.
So we're going in hopefully fresh.
So we got it to come out, so we're good.
The last couple grade 8s have been going out.
Like second round, I'm hoping this time I can pull off a win.
I want to move up in the grade eight, not stay still. I like moving up.
Robin put me out in Vegas.
Then I draw him first round this race.
That's not a good feeling.
Hopefully I can get a little redemption.
Okay, we good?
Fuel, air, you good to go?
Here we are, Dragway 42, event 10. For us, this is the business end of the
season. Like, this is our chance to shine and rise up. We've been chipping
at the points. Now we've got to take it home.
Ready? Let's go show them.
The car is hauling ass.
It's super smooth. It's running the way it should.
We need to get just a little more power out of the backside, and we talked about
some things to do that. So I'm happy with our combo. I'm happy with where we
are. Now's a good time to just go show them.
All right, this third pair here in the great eight.
Another good one. Over in the left lane, that's going to be Robin Roberts.
Going up against Axeman, Larry Roach.
Makes a great pass there. We'll get the win.
Roll up in their lights, and they just went straight as an arrow.
I never saw him, so I don't know if he had problems. I don't know what
but now we finally got some great eight points on the board.
Now we're trying to get more. We're trying to get 10 tonight.
Close up on them guys.
Damn it, damn it, damn it, man.
After everything I felt like I had working against me, I got real
thought, all right, we got this. We got this. All we got to do is kill a tree
and stand in the red track and get this win.
I let out a button that pinned me to the seat. I said, man, it feels good. And
all of a sudden, I felt this wobble of the tires.
I went to pedal, and there Robin goes.
The show was over.
I've not had to abandon one pass, and I've not had to abandon two in a row.
Yeah, we got video, right?
Okay, yeah, I'll send you some video.
Yeah, it honestly was pretty good. I mean, I would have been happy with that
run. We came here and tested. We put a tune -up in the car, and we went
down.
And Nate Taylor turns on the wind light. Nice job.
Car made just a little bit of a move there at the 330.
Stayed with it. The only hiccup we had is on the gear change from 2 -3. It got
little squirrely, tried to take me out of the groove, but I steered her back
quick, and she went right through the traps.
No, track temp was 94.
But I'll do it.
Perfect.
First round, grade 8 here in Ohio. We got Kayla Morton. We're pretty excited
about it. We got a good race car.
I know they do, too. They run the same setup we do. So we're going to bring our
A game, and they'll have to do the same.
Let me go make sure the battery charger's hooked up.
And I need to get the fan on the transmission right.
Ohio, obviously one of my favorite states for reasons like I won here the
first race. I drew Nate Saylor. We are friends, but we've never got to race
other. So I'm excited to race Nate to see kind of where we stack up. Both cars
are very fast.
This will be the last pair of the grade A first round over in the left lane.
That's going to be Nate Saylor going up against Kayla Morton in the right.
it for the first round of the grade eight let
me pull my shoe you got mine
who'd they say won kayla won i went red no way
good race it was a beautiful race i didn't see him go red
so i was disappointed at first but they told me in my ears that he went red so
final four um chipping away at those points um i know kai went out first
so man sean's got his number on friday night and that does nothing but help us
so yeah w for us man we'll take it i didn't know he went red
We're going to go ahead and do our great eight semifinals drivers meeting. We
started with eight drivers.
We are now down to four.
So for my four drivers here, you're at least guaranteed three points in the
individual championship for the great eight.
If you haven't noticed, points leader Kai Kelly is not in the race anymore.
Murder Nova ended up taking him out in the first round again.
My gosh. Are you Kai Kelly's kryptonite? That is the question.
I don't think I'm anybody's kryptonite. I don't know. We took a shot at it, and
it paid off.
Well, yeah, it sure did. You put Kai Kelly on the trailer again.
So that means with Kai Kelly, the points leader, not being in this race right
now, this is a chance for everybody else to make up some ground.
All right, so take advantage of that.
Let's go ahead and draw chips and see who is racing who here in this semifinal
round.
I forgot. You're representing Lizzie, so you get to draw now.
All right, number one, step forward.
Robin Roberts and Murder Nova will be the first pair, which means my second
will be Lizzie Muthie versus Kayla Morton.
Oh, boy.
All right, y 'all. You know who you're racing. You know what you got to do. Go
back to the pit. Get your cars in the station lane.
We got $10 ,000 to give away.
I'm definitely ready.
It's going to be a tough one.
It's going to be a tough one.
I think he's definitely the fastest.
Yeah, he knows we are, too. He's going to throw the house at it.
He's going to throw everything at it, which that may play in our favor, too.
Look, that's what Axeman did last round. He shook the tires.
Round two of the grade eight, and I drew Muranoma, Sean.
This is the toughest draw. When I looked across the crowd, I thought, that's the
one guy I don't want to draw. I want to meet him in the finals.
He struggled a little bit at first.
Now he's really come up. He's doing incredibly well.
It's going to be a hell of a run.
I have a lot of respect for him. I love Sean, but we're going to try and do our
best to beat him. We're going to go on to the next round. It's our turn to take
one and come up in points.
I mean, just to be real, if we can get past Sean, this might be our night.
You'd think I'd pay attention a little bit.
Just drive.
I drew Robin Roberts.
I'm not real sure we've ever got the win light against him.
Hey, good luck, guys.
Good luck,
man. You too, brother.
I told him, man. Yeah, I know. We've become good friends. I said it was
whenever I didn't like him. You know what I mean? I said.
No, I'm going to try to knock his head off just the same way he's going to try
to knock his head off. And then we're going to shake hands at the big end, and
everything's going to be cool.
So, good luck, man. Love you, man. You too.
Blower car or turbo cars.
He's always had our number, you know, and I'm going to change that tonight.
Here we go.
Over in the right lane, that is going to be Robin Roberts.
going up against Murder Nova.
Here we go. Over in the right lane, that is going to be Robin Roberts going up
against Murder Nova.
I let go of the button.
He got out on me a little bit. I start pulling on him. He didn't disappear. He
was close, but we took the win.
The car rolled out on that path. It ran every bit of what we wanted it to run
and probably a little bit more. We have a competitive car.
So when you talk about who possibly has a chance at winning from here on out, I
need Murder Nova to come out of people's mouths.
Killer run, dude. Thank you, bro.
Thank you, bro.
Thank you. I think that's the first time I've ever turned the wind light on
against you. Hey, pro charger, turbo, anything.
I think that's the first time.
Yeah, you got us pretty good, though. Good run. Good race, man. Great run.
race. Good for him. Great pass, man. He really just whooped us, though.
Man, he's running good.
We'll just have to get him tomorrow.
Hey, we are on the board for the individual deal. Right. So, I mean,
many people on that board. No.
No.
And tomorrow we've just got to solidify our position.
Try and slide up a notch or two again.
Take the rates, man. Take the $40 ,000.
That'd be the big deal.
Take the payday so we can buy some more crap.
Keep blowing it up.
Hey, I'll be right back, fam.
Thank you, man. I appreciate it. I appreciate it. One more, right? One
Thank you, brother. I thank you, man. Thank you.
I got it. That's what I would say. Good. If you think you're good, then you're
100 % fine. Good. Second round, I end up drawing Kayla.
Feeling a little sick today.
Normally a third day after chemo is my worst day, but I'm making it and getting
in this car and doing my thing.
I think we tweaked a little bit enough. We took some rear steer out of the car,
kind of maybe hopefully a little straighten it out on the path.
So we feel good about it. Hopefully we fixed the issue and hopefully kicked
ass.
It's on now?
Yeah.
And on?
Still on. That's still on?
So it's with my taillights.
Okay.
Yeah, give it a knee.
Nice, swift knee.
Ready?
Oh, good. You made a really solid pass, round one.
Just chipping away at those little points.
And I would really like to see a final with Murder Nova today.
So we got to get past Lizzie first.
Track is going to be killer at this point. She does very well on a good
So we got to be on our game.
All right, folks, here we go. This will be the last pair of the semifinals for
the grade eight over in the left lane. That is going to be Lizzie Mucey.
Lizzie Mucey going up against Kayla Morton in the right lane.
Nitrous in the left. Procharger in the right.
Who will move on to face Murder Nova?
Lizzie Mucey gets there first, turns on the wind light.
So your grade eight finals will be Murder Nova versus Lizzie Mucey for $10
After my burnout, backing up, I hear the car.
It's like, it's just off, knocking it a little bit. And my dad's like, it's a
rock arm lift. And I was like, I know, I hear it, I hear it. He's like, just run
it, just run it. I'm like, okay.
All right, it's either going to not make it all the way or it's going to make it
just right at the finish line. So as I'm getting ready to stage, to light, turn,
screen, let go of the button, the car is trucking down there. I'm like, oh, my
God, it's going to freaking make it. Let's do this, you know? And all of a
sudden, right before the finish line, this freaking big -ass ball of flame
my hood scoop up into orbit.
I'm like, not a good situation.
Yeah, I couldn't see the scoreboard, honestly, but, like, after, like, the
explosion thing, I got sidetracked out of that.
Kayla, she was, like, right next to me. She was kind of close coming in.
I think she got a little loose on that run, but I didn't know if I won or not,
to be honest with you.
My guys had to tell me on top, and I'm like, holy, okay, let's go. I heard it.
was like, I know that's me. That ain't her. It sounds so bad.
I'm surprised they made it that far. Me too.
without the rocker arm being in place it'll be all out of sync so it
throws the motor off and yeah timing everything just that's what you get that
big ball fire pretty much backfire
All right, here we go. We're going to go ahead and do our grade eight final
driver's meeting real quick.
First and foremost, Lizzie Muses, you find yourself here in the finals for $10
,000. And it's your first grade eight finals of the season. So great job
But I have bad news.
You're going up against Murder Nova, who is trying to make it two in a row for
grade eight wins. As you know, he won last week.
In Las Vegas, grade eight finals, $10 ,000.
We're going to flip a coin for lane choice.
Are you going to let Lizzie call it? Absolutely.
Okay. It's only the right thing to do.
Lizzie, call it a year.
Heads. Heads is the call.
It is.
Heads. I actually changed it up.
Look at that.
Lizzie, it is your lane.
Left lane.
Left lane is the call. Good luck, y 'all.
Go ahead and get suited up.
Still racing, all right? $10 ,000 to win.
Let's do it.
Hey, what happened to you and Robin?
Well, he lost by like a car, car and a half, and then decided to protest the
height of my fender.
Oh, for real?
That ain't three inches.
Well, I don't know what to tell you.
They measured it when they came and teched the car. Nobody measured that,
I can put three fingers under mine, and I can put three fingers under yours. You
could not put three fingers under yours, dude. I walked up and looked at it. I
wish I would have been involved. I would have won that one. I could have won
that race.
I think I could have won that race.
Yeah. No, we won, and we won fair and square, and we won by a lot. So they
a technicality, and they were trying to, you know, get an opportunity off of it,
and it didn't work because he was telling me my was too low, and I was
dude, yours is lower than mine. See, I got to argue it over.
It was lower, so I won.
What would you have done if his big ass were to grab a whole figure?
What? He might have kicked my ass, but he didn't know what his jaw hurt the
day. You would have gave him a fight. Oh, yeah.
That's what I was hoping.
How are you? I could be better.
I feel like I'm having a little rough time right now. The third day, it's
rough for me.
That's what, we're around Mallory a lot, you know, and she's always like, she
always says the third day's the day I don't want to get out of bed.
Yeah, it's weird. Like, it hits me like a brake train. That's what she said.
Every run, I'm like, I have to go, like, lay down because it's bad.
Got Sean Mertanova in the finals. He won the last grade eight, and he's hauling
ass. So, you know, I'm a little tired, but I really want to kick his ass. I'm
ready. I'm ready for anything.
I don't know. My car was making a really killer run. We looked on the race pack.
It looked killer. So, minus the fact of it, you know, backfiring and a freaking
big ball of fire, you know, we're not quite sure why it did what it did. It
could. It happens when it gets cold temperatures like this. We place the
and the pushrod in that side.
We decided to leave the hood scoop off in case it decides to happen again in
finals. The car is running good, so we feel good about it. Hopefully we fix the
issue, and we're going to go up there for the finals and hopefully kick some
ass. Trying, trying the best I can.
Yeah, you're killing it. You're killing it.
You're hauling ass, too.
Well, we'll see.
We'll see. Last time you drove out of my life. Oh, whatever. So we'll see if
it's any different.
We're racing Lizzie. Unfortunately, last time we raced her, she drove out of my
lap.
And Lizzie Busey gets the win.
Wow. It was really close, and then she locked it up, and she just started kind
of pulling away, man. I was like, oh, no.
It was pretty humbling in the car.
I felt like we were on a pretty decent path.
But it wasn't the greatest air for Pro Chargers.
It was a little bit favorable for the nitrous stuff. But Lindsey's back.
She goes to a lot of finals. She wins a lot of races. And it's just like anybody
else in the Grade 8. We can't underestimate her. She's going to go out
and Pat is going to do anything he's got to do to win this race.
And we're going to try to do anything we can for them not to win it.
All right, folks, here we go. This will be the last race of the night. This is
your Grade 8 finals.
Backing up that nitrous -powered Camaro, that is Lizzie Mucey. She is going up
against none other than Murder Nova. Murder Nova over in the right lane.
This race right here for $10 ,000.
And very important points towards that individual championship.
Congratulations to him.
Damn, son.
There's a bump right here.
Two times in the grade eight and two wins. You know, the car's rolling. We
stumbled upon something, you know, some sort of a magic tune that's going down,
and it's going down fast, you know, and the track is taking it. Two in a row,
dog. You like an old hat at this.
You like an old hat.
Damn, dude. Damn.
Good job.
Good job, good job.
Car's working well.
Motor's producing all the power.
And we're winning races, you know. Couldn't be happier. This is what we
for every time we work on the car, every time we make a pass on the car, every
time we spend money on the car. This is what we do it for.
It's been a long time since we've had this winning feeling.
And we love it, you know. And we're not going to sleep until we get an
invitation to win.
Tell me about the grade 8. Is it pretty fun?
Man. I mean.
Good job. Thank you. Good job.
Good job. Good job. Proud of you. Oh, dude.
Thank you. Hey, but you guys know I couldn't have done it without y 'all.
You know that. Hey, man.
We help each other. That's the way I look at it. Huh? Did you even have a
to see her fireball?
Fireball? On that pass? Did she nuke it?
It went early.
That sucks. I'm going to go back and talk to her. Where's she at?
Oh, is she up front?
Oh.
Yeah. If it would have had a scoop on it.
All I know is that we made a killer pass and I didn't see her.
Thank you.
I went in really fast.
She lit the top bulbs. I went in with the other two. She was purging her car.
It was a really quick light.
I was ready for it.
I'm not real sure she was. So I let go of the button. I knew I left out before
her. Car 60 -footed like we told it to, and we made a hell of a pass. I could
see her for a little bit, and then all of a sudden she fell back, and we took
the wind light.
I got blinded by the light.
All right. I know.
I don't know what's causing it, but praise God.
Yeah, I know.
Yeah, I'll leave that up to them.
Good job, Sean.
You're cruising the clock back to lose me.
Okay.
At the end of the night, Sean was able to win yet another grade eight event.
That is two in a row.
Plus, he took out Kai Kelly in round one, which made it so where he could not
extend his lead.
That landed him fourth on the leaderboard, and there's plenty of races
him to catch up.
Next time.
This is the grade eight. Sean, you've won two grade eights in a row, man.
Kai's been struggling a little bit on Fridays.
He's going to struggle. We need to capitalize on it. We actually broke the
transmission, so we have an hour to put a new transmission in the car. I think
we can change the tranny in an hour.
I just got to worry about Murder Nova on his little killing spree he's doing
because he keeps winning every weekend. He's going to catch me.
At this point, we have to get coins to every grade 8 if we're going to catch
Kai.
