=A Date With The Future=

=Episode 22= (Xu Lai Blocked Me)

I officially announce

that Xu Lai and I are dating.

Starting today,

you can call her sister-in-law.

Sister-in-law?

Sister-in-law!

Sister-in-law!

We've got a sister-in-law.

Sister-in-law!

Sister-in-law!

Attention!

Left turn!

Forward march!

Han Fang.

I'm talking to you.

Go on.

I said Jin Shichuan and I reconciled.

For how long this time?

Not everyone is like you.

We've agreed that we're never going to

break up anymore.

Do you think Jin Shichuan is the one?

Of course.

Jin Shichuan is the one I must marry.

Furthermore,

he told me I'm his family.

Family.

Anyway,

this is also

my ultimate goal in finding a husband.

Hello.

All right.

I'll be there.

I have some work.

I'm leaving now.

Talk to you again.

You heard everything.

As your friend,

I asked you out to...

Han Fang.

I don't feel like talking now.

Did you build all these?

This will be

our secret hideout in the future.

(Xu Lai's Hut)

Mr. Han.

Is Mr. Huo not in again?

Not yet.

I'll leave this to you.

Hello, Xu Lai.

Huo doesn't seem right these few days.

(He didn't come to work)

(and his phone is off too.)

(I can't reach him.)

Got it.

(Hello.)

(The subscriber you dialed is power off.)

(The subscriber you dialed is power off.)

Huo!

Hello.

You're finally answering my call.

I was out on duty just now.

I couldn't check my phone.

Is there anything?

I'm at Huo's place.

He did not answer any calls.

I'm worried.

(I was going to ask you to come too)

(but you didn't answer your phone.)

(So I came alone.)

Do you need me there?

It's okay.

You've been busy.

I'll just wait for a while.

If he's not back yet,

I'll just go back.

(Take care and be safe.)

(Let me know when you are back at home.)

I saw a very beautiful dress

when I was shopping today.

There were tassels on it,

you know?

Is it so?

What do you want today?

Anything.

The usual.

Is my ring pretty?

It is.

Shishi.

Isn't that your boyfriend?

Why is he drinking alone?

Did you both get in a fight?

Let him be.

It has nothing to do with me.

(Han Fang)

What is it?

Have you seen Huo Yanzong?

(I can't reach him.)

(I'm still looking for him.)

Why are you calling me then?

I have nothing to do with him.

All right.

Come on.

Why are you not drinking?

Mr. Huo.

Mr. Huo, are you all right?

Do you need someone

to send you back?

Mr. Huo.

Mr. Huo.

Are you all right?

It's fine. I got this.

Leave this to me.

You care so much about him

but you pretend you don't.

Why is it that

every time I see you, you're drunk?

Are you a drunkard?

Huo Yanzong. Wake up.

Get up.

Huo Yanzong. Wake up.

Get up.

Why are you here?

I want to know

why am I here too.

By this time,

I should be drinking and having fun

with my friends.

I didn't expect to send a drunkard home.

Do you think I like it?

Leave me at the side of the road.

I'll get a taxi home.

Forget it.

You are my boyfriend now.

If you get into trouble,

I will lose face too.

Just be here quietly.

We'll be home soon.

Huo. Where are you?

Everyone is worried about you.

Call me back.

What's wrong?

Did you get dumped again?

The CEO of Yunkai Group

is having a one-sided love.

What a joke.

Are you leaving just like that?

Not even a thank you?

Thanks for sending me home.

Is that all?

You're heartless.

I shouldn't have wasted my time on you.

Why did you act cool

and get warm all of a sudden?

I'm sorry.

Sorry for what?

Go home.

Drive safe.

Why are you here?

Why are you dressed so differently today?

It's unlike you.

How was it over there?

Over there?

Huo Yanzong?

He's with Yu Shishi.

They look good together.

I think I was overthinking.

But now, I can relax.

That's great.

Are you jealous

because I went to find Huo Yanzong

late at night?

No.

Is that why you're waiting for me here?

No.

Yes, you are.

No.

You are.

Let's hug.

Are you tired?

I have been on duty the whole day,

I'm exhausted.

I need you to recharge my energy.

In that case,

I'll give you a full charge.

I'm done recharging,

I'll go home first.

I'm leaving.

I am really leaving.

Go.

Be safe.

It's very cool.

(At this moment,)

(I feel bad and loved at the same time)

(watching Jin Shichuan's back.)

(I feel bad that he had a hard day.)

(I feel loved)

(because he still thought about me)

(and even came to see me.)

(Perhaps,)

(this is the gentleness specific to him.)

(A strong man's gentle love)

(is especially moving.)

(As I watch his back)

(fade into the night,)

(my heart also melts with)

(this beautiful night.)

(Dear Customer. Your monthly benefit is...)

What is wrong with him?

He just kissed me and left.

Could it be...

Is he feeling shy

and waiting for me to make a move?

You've made your move so many times.

Another move?

We're celebrities.

Can you please

show your dignity as a celebrity?

What's wrong with being celebrities?

Aren't celebrities humans too?

A celebrity's happiness is in her hands.

Sure.

As long as you're happy.

Why are you here?

Is there something?

Yes.

I think you're missing me.

You're pressing on my documents.

Well...

Don't you have anything to say

about what happened last time?

What happened last time?

Did you forget already?

That day...

At your house...

You kissed me.

That was a reason for that.

Don't overthink.

Mr. Huo.

Don't you think your behaviour

is beyond the limits of a friend?

Of course.

I can understand.

Not many men

can resist a woman like me.

Don't worry.

I'm one of them.

I need an explanation!

Do you want to hear the truth?

Of course.

I used you.

You used me?

What do you mean?

You don't have to know.

I'll admit.

I overdid it.

Besides that,

don't have any expectations.

Huo Yanzong.

You're a jerk.

Shishi.

Huo Yanzong said he was using me.

What is he using me for?

You should ask Huo Yanzong.

Why are you asking me?

You're with him every day.

I'm sure you know.

Are you telling me or not?

I'm telling you.

I, Han Fang, am loyal to friends.

I won't do anything to betray my brothers.

I'm not telling you even if you beat me to death.

What is it?

Mr. Han.

You should know that you're a player by name, right?

What do you think

people will say when they see this

after I called for help?

Moreover,

there are cameras all around.

Help...

I'll tell you.

Huo is using you

to keep Xu Lai from worrying,

so he could remain friends with her.

Are you telling the truth?

A missing person has been found.

I've been busy with work lately.

I want to take a break

so I turned my phone off.

I just saw your message.

You should really go on a vacation.

By the way,

don't you have something to talk to me about?

What is it?

Nothing.

I just wanted to know if you're all right.

You can still care about me now.

Do you have time tonight?

Let's have dinner.

Ask Jin Shichuan too.

I'll ask Shishi.

Sure.

Let me know once you've decided on a place.

Okay.

Bye.

You've been quiet along the way.

What is it?

Did Huo Yanzong make you mad?

Don't mention that jerk.

Control your expressions.

All right. I won't mention him.

Let's not get mad because of a jerk.

You'd get wrinkles from getting mad.

I'm getting wrinkles.

It's not worth it

for the jerk.

But Shishi,

what happened that made you mad?

I, Yu Shishi,

have always been

the centre of attention no matter where I go.

I've never been humiliated

like today.

Let me tell you this.

I'm just a side character to him!

Dream on!

I will not meet him anymore.

I will never pick up

his phone calls anymore.

You will never pick up his calls?

(Huo Yanzong) Huo Yanzong's calling. Will you answer?

Should I hang up for you instead?

Three.

Two.

One.

No.

I think

he's calling to apologize.

Hello.

Hello.

Hello. What is it?

Hello.

Let's have dinner tonight.

I've sent you the address.

I don't have an appetite.

Don't eat then.

Just sit next to me.

Huo Yanzong.

Is this the attitude when you apologize?

Who said I am apologizing?

(It's not only the two of us.)

(Jin Shichuan and Xu Lai are coming too.)

Then I won't be there. I'm busy.

No way.

You must go.

You cannot refuse.

Huo Yanzong.

Who am I to you?

Your assistant who is 24 hours on standby?

I said I'm not free.

Are you blind or deaf?

I'm already acting at work.

Are you asking me to act off-work too?

Get someone else. I quit.

No way.

I have to go.

If I don't go,

how will I let Huo Yanzong know

that I'm the lead?

I'm already here.

Come straight in.

I sent you the room number.

All right.

Didn't you say you were busy?

As the female lead,

how can I be missing?

Moreover, a devoted actress like myself

will surely help you out

since I've made a promise.

Sorry for making you wait.

You're here.

Yanzong insists that I wear this dress.

He said I looked best in it

so we are a little late.

It's fine. Take a seat.

When did I buy you a dress?

It's part of the show.

This is a beautiful dress.

Huo has better taste now

after he's in a relationship.

Everyone is here.

Should we order?

What do you like...

Sweet and Sour Ribs.

Stir-Fried Green Beans.

Let's have fish.

I want it braised.

I remember Xu Lai loves them.

Yes.

What you ordered aren't my favourite.

Reorder.

Here.

Here, Shishi.

Yanzong doesn't know what I like to eat.

I don't quite know

what you like to eat too.

But, tell me.

I will remember them.

Really?

I also like Kung Pao Chicken.

Spicy or not spicy.

Spicy, of course.

The spicier, the better.

What else?

Sliced Beef in Chilli Oil.

You can make it more obvious

so we don't have to act anymore.

All right?

Vinegar cucumber.

Extra vinegar, please.

I like it sour.

Sure.

Xu Lai likes the fish cheeks.

Xu Lai, a toast to you.

Sure.

Gosh.

I'm sorry.

It's fine.

I'll take you to the toilet to fix this.

It's fine. I'll just wipe it.

No. Let's go.

Let me fix it for you.

I think I need to

make something clear.

I thought I was going to be disabled

so I let her go.

Now that I've recovered,

I will not let go anymore.

Xu Lai is very important to me.

I will not give up on her.

Sometimes I really don't know

if you're a fool or just pretending to be one.

What do you mean?

No wonder.

You don't care about Huo Yanzong at all.

How would you notice

his feelings for you?

It's pathetic that he spent so much effort

getting me involved to put on a show.

A show?

What do you mean?

To tell you the truth,

the relationship between Huo Yanzong and I is fake.

He doesn't want you to overthink

so he can stay by your side

without any suspicions.

Is it true?

If you don't believe me,

you can ask Huo Yanzong.

Now that you know about it,

Xu Lai,

please don't be friends

with him anymore.

You might not be tired of it

but I'm sick of acting.

You left in the middle of the meal.

Are you unhappy or

did something happen?

Shishi told me

her relationship with Huo is fake.

They have been acting.

You knew everything?

Did you know it all this while?

Huo Yanzong came to the hospital to see me.

He told me.

Why didn't you tell me about it?

When was it?

What else did he say?

That was when we were having our fight.

He came to see me and told me about

his fake relationship with Shishi.

I could tell that

he had a strong feeling for you.

At that time,

I thought my leg wasn't going to heal.

I might not be able to protect you.

Perhaps, he...

Perhaps...

Perhaps, what?

Perhaps, he can take care of you in my place.

Are you out of your mind?

Did you also asked him to come on the day

we broke up at the hospital?

You were also lying to me.

Both of you.

One of you is the person I care about most.

The other one is the friend I trust most

but all of you treat me like a fool.

I didn't want to hide this from you.

Listen to me. It's because...

Jin Shichuan.

You are so full of yourself.

You knew clearly

about the feelings I had for you,

and yet you tried to push me to another man.

Have you respected me?

I have always been respectful.

Let me explain.

Did you know

how sad I was

when you tried to push me away

to hide your injury?

Because I liked you so much,

I went to make up with you

because I could understand

that you were trying to protect me.

But pushing me to Huo Yanzong

and lying to me with him...

is something I cannot understand or accept.

I really like you

but that doesn't mean

my love is inferior.

I won't let you belittle it.

Xu Lai.

Let go.

Let go!

Yu Shishi.

What did you say to Xu Lai?

Why did she leave after you both

went to the washroom?

Yu Shishi!

I like how you are

chasing after me right now.

I'm asking you.

What did you tell Xu Lai?

I told her everything.

What?

I told her our relationship is fake.

You did all of these for her.

Why did you do that?

Because I don't want to see

you acting like a fool,

sacrificing so much for her

but she'll never see you the same way.

Moreover,

I don't want to pretend anymore

because the beginning of this story

is fated to end badly.

Can't you tell

the feelings Xu Lai has for Jin Shichuan?

Huo Yanzong.

The both of you will never be together.

You better give up.

I'm helping you.

I don't need your help.

You just need to play your part.

Okay.

From now on,

I will not act anymore

because I'll be showing you my true feelings.

I'm in love with you.

Nonsense.

Huo Yanzong, listen up.

Since, I, Yu Shishi, am in love with you,

I'll be involved in all your matters.
