Thomas would get fixated on things.

I have to say this.

Thomas is unstable.

You say you love Zoe.

She's freaking out.

He's still in London, and he's trying to keep busy.

He's trying to work.

But he is absolutely traumatized by what he did that night on

Catalina.

He is terrified of this getting out, because he knows we will

all go to prison.

And he doesn't want that.

He knows it's his fault.

So now we're all in it just as deep as he is.

There are way too many consequences, and not just for

us, if we tell the truth.

>> Hope: This engagement isn't about Thomas getting

Thomas' focus has been completely on you for months.

>> Hope: He just wants to build a family for Douglas.

His motivation may be completely different.

But that is not what is happening now.

Making a stable home environment for that little boy is not

I mean, Thomas hasn't even been in L.A. that long, and -- and

Douglas is still grieving his mother.

>> Brooke: This isn't the right time to start up a new

relationship.

[ Sighs ] Losing my child changed me.

And I will be grieving the loss of Beth for the rest of my life.

And when I married Liam, I felt like we finally overcame

all of our obstacles.

But I did not know what was to come.

And I know that you're scared that this marriage isn't going

to be an expression of love, but it will be.

Because love is the reason that I said yes.

Because of my love for Douglas.

Because of my love for Kelly.

Because of my love for Phoebe.

And because of the mother that I want to be.

Now, I -- I love Liam.

And I will cherish the time that we spent together.

And I will miss Beth every single day for the

rest of my life.

But this is a way I can honor her.

By giving Douglas the mother that he needs.

could come up to the house, and we could make our engagement

official.

>> Hope: Well, I-I think we should tell Douglas first.

>> Thomas: Oh, well, that's what I meant.

But I like where your head's at.

>> Hope: [ Chuckles ] Um... I just --

I think we should, uh, make it special, and maybe

go to a restaurant.

>> Thomas: Oh.

I was thinking we could order in.

You know, have a bottle of champagne.

>> Hope: Or cake.

And ice cream.

Douglas will want to be a part of the celebration.

>> Thomas: He's gonna be so excited.

And then, once he goes to bed, well, we can celebrate on our

own, just the two of us.

>> Hope: Thomas...heh...

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. I just -- I think we should wait

until our wedding night.

>> Brooke: Ugh! God.

I don't know what else I could have said.

>> Donna: Hope seems to have convinced herself that marrying

Thomas is the right thing to do.

>> Brooke: [ Huffs ] She's being manipulated.

Ridge believes that this relationship will be great for

Thomas, and for Hope.

I don't think it's gonna be good for any of them.

>> Katie: Does Ridge know that Hope is still in love with Liam?

But he doesn't care.

I mean, he think this is all working out the way it should.

Hope got the annulment from Liam.

Liam is now with Steffy, and Thomas and Hope are engaged.

Of course, that was orchestrated.

>> Katie: Yeah. I agree.

>> Brooke: And Hope, she's just being swept up in the momentum.

She doesn't even know what's happening.

But Thomas knows the kind of woman she is.

She always feels the need to help.

She feels the need to make a difference.

>> Katie: Those are some of her best qualities.

>> Brooke: Yes.

And they're being used against her.

And I-I don't know what to do about it.

But that is what's happening.

And Ridge, he called me Stephanie.

He thinks that I'm doing what Stephanie did to Ridge and me

when were younger.

He thinks that this is all meant to be, and now he's got Hope

thinking that way, too.

She doesn't even realize what he's doing.

something really important to talk to you about.

But first, someone needs to clean up their room.
