We're at the Monster Dome for a big race.

And some of our best friends are going to race with us.

- Oh boy, look at all those jumps and loop de loops.

This race is going to be a blast!

my Far, Far Away Machine.

It's a machine that can take you

to places no one's been in a long time,

places like the Ice Age.

- Whoa. - Wow.

- Or you can visit ancient Egypt.

- Or you can even go here.

[machine whooshes]

Whoa. What's that?

A castle, yeah.

That must be a medieval kingdom!

- Wow!

Gabby, your Far, Far Away Machine is super cool!

- Thanks! Maybe later we can give it a try.

But for now, what do you say we do some racing?

- Yeah! - Let's do it!

[engine roars]

- [giggles] I've got a good feeling

about this race, Pickle. - Oh, yeah!

No one's fast enough to beat you, Crusher,

except maybe Stripes, Watts, and Darington.

- Yeah! Whoo-hoo! - Yipee!

- Oh, I wish I had some way to get rid of those other racers,

like with a machine that could send them

far, far away, a machine like that!

[laughs]

OK, Far, Far Away Machine, do your thing!

[machine beeping]

- Whoa.

[pulse whooshing]

- Huh? - What was that?

- [chuckles]

- [gasps] It's Crusher!

- Going far, far, far away!

- He's using my Far, Far Away Machine

to try and send the other racers far, far away.

- [laughing] [screams]

- [laughs] Those other racers can't beat me now

that they're all far, far awa... [screams]

[groans]

- Oh, man.

Stripes, Watts, and Darington are in trouble!

- They're lost in those faraway places

and need help to get back.

- Hey, I've got an idea how we can help.

We can use the Far, Far Away Machine

to send us to those faraway places.

- Yeah! Then we can rescue our friends

and get them back in time for the race.

- Let's do it!

- Give it a spin, Gabby.

Far, far away, here we come!

[together] ? We're going far, far away

- Remember, three of our friends

got sent to faraway places.

- And first, we're in the Ice Age to rescue Stripes.

- The Ice Age was a time when ice

covered huge areas of the Earth.

- I wonder where we're going to find Stripes

in a place like this.

[deep thudding]

- I don't know, but something tells me he might.

- Whoa! - It's a woolly mammoth!

- [grunts, laughs]

- Hey there, Woolly.

Have you seen our friend Stripes?

- Mm-hmm.

- He's pointing to that icy cave.

- Let's look inside.

When you see Stripes, say Stripes.

Stripes!

- Hello! [ice cracking]

Stripes is sliding away on the ice!

We've got to go after him.

- I think Woolly's going to give us a ride.

- Look, there's Stripes.

[ice rumbling]

- But to save him, we've got to get

past those giant icicles.

- Hey, I've got an idea.

Let's use a tool to break apart those icicles,

a tool they had all the way back in the Ice Age, a wedge!

- Yeah! Check it out.

When you push on the flat side of a wedge,

all that force goes to the pointy end,

and that makes it easier to split things apart.

- Quick, let's figure out how many icicles

we need to break with our wedge.

How many icicles are there?

Three, right!

- [laughs]

- One, two, three!

- Mm-hmm! - We did it!

- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Ah. Whoo-hoo!

- And there's Stripes!

[ice crashing]

- Get ready. More icicles up ahead.

- How many icicles are there this time?

Four, yeah!

- [grunts]

- We've almost caught up with Stripes!

- We've just got to get past these last icicles.

- Those are pyramids, Stripes, which means

we must be in ancient Egypt!

- [gasps] It's Watts.

- [roars] She must be stuck inside one of those pyramids.

- Yeah, the one that's still being built.

- Come on, everyone. This way.

[engines roaring]

- Watts! Up here!

- Gabby, friends, you found me!

- Hang on, Watts.

We're going to get you out of there.

- And I know just the tool that can help us, a pulley!

- Yeah! Pulleys were used in ancient Egypt

to help build the pyramids.

- Check it out.

A pulley makes it easier to lift things with less force.

If we put enough heavy things on this side of the pulley...

- It'll go down, and Watts will come up.

- Let's do it!

- [roars] Hey, look.

I found something heavy, these stones!

[grunts]

- Good going, Stripes!

- To lift Watts with our pulley,

we need that side to weigh ten.

No, that's only three.

To rescue Watts, we need to make this side

of the pulley even heavier.

- Here, let's add this vase to the pulley.

- Yeah. It's pretty heavy.

- Ooh, give it a try.

- [grunts]

- Look, now our side of the pulley weighs this much.

No, that's six.

- To save Watts, we need to make the pulley even heavier.

- And I sure hope you do it fast

'cause this pyramid is full of pinching crabs.

- Quick, we need all the heavy stuff we can find.

- [snarls] - [grunts]

Now our side of the pulley weighs this much.

- So long little crabs.

[crabs giggling]

- But we saved two of them.

How many friends still need our help?

We just need to rescue Darington,

then we can all go back to the race.

- Last stop, the medieval kingdom.

[machine beeping]

Gee, Crusher, you sure don't seem like

you're in a big hurry to finish this race.

- Why should I be?

I've got all the time in the world.

So how about you grab that camera

and take a picture of me on that loop de loop?

- [chuckles] Sure.

Though you'd look even better if you were a little higher.

I'm going to go even higher.

- Ha! Amazing.

I'm locked in this medieval castle,

and I can't get out!

We're going to get you out of there.

how to get inside that castle.

[royal fanfare]

- Huzzah! - We can help with that.

- Whoa! Those look like knights in shining armor.

- Indeed, we are.

- Now listen carefully.

- To come inside our castle,

you must give us something special.

- We want our favorite snack.

- [snarls] Well, what snack is that?

[together] Apples!

- Aha! So if we launch these apples to the knights,

they'll let us into the castle.

- And we know the perfect medieval tool

for launching things, a catapult.

- Yeah.

A catapult has a long lever arm.

And the more you pull it back, the more energy it has

to launch things into the air.

- Come on. Let's give it a try.

- [snarls] Loading the first apple.

[engine rumbles]

[energetic music]

[all grunt]

Now, let's launch this apple to one of those hungry knights.

Look carefully.

When you see a knight, say knight.

[cow moos]

[chicken clucks]

Knight!

- Hmm, most enjoyable!

- We did it! We fed the knight an apple.

- And to thank you for this apple,

I shall lower the drawbridge!

[all cheering]

- Great work, friends.

But remember, to get inside the castle,

you've got to feed apples to all three knights!

- Another apple ready for launch.

[all grunt]

- Look carefully.

When you see another knight, say knight.

[cat meows]

Knight!

- Delicious. [chuckles]

And now I shall lower the drawbridge!

[all cheering]

- To get inside the castle,

you just need to feed one more knight!

- And we better make it count.

This is our last apple!

[all grunt]

- Help us look for the last knight.

When you see the knight, say knight.

[bird tweets]

[skunk chirps]

Knight!

- Mmm!

Congratulations, Monster Machines!

You may now enter the castle.

[all cheering]

- We did it! We fed all the hungry knights.

- Now let's go save Darington.

[all cheering]

[musical car horn honking]

- You did it, friends. I'm free!

- [laughs] Good to have you back, Darington.

- And now that everyone's been rescued,

we can use the Far, Far Away Machine

to get back to the race.

[machine beeping]

Oh. There it is, the racetrack!

- [giggles]

- Uh-oh, but Crusher's almost at the finish line.

- Well, we didn't come this far to give up now.

It's time to use blazing speed.

[engine roars]

[all cheering]

- To give us blazing speed, say, let's blaze!

[together] Let's blaze!

[engines roaring]

Get a picture of me winning the race.
