The White Base had engaged the Zanzibar commanded by Char,

but was unable to shoot it down.

However, the Gundam did manage to destroy the mobile armor Bigro.

Breakthrough Strategy

Breakthrough Strategy!

Did they get reinforcements?

Another mobile suit is approaching.

Are our pilots back from the shower yet?

They're running checks on their units at the launch decks.

Fraw Bow, send one or two of them to intercept.

Who should we send?

Whoever's in the best condition.

That's Hayato.

Tell him to hurry.

Hayato, launch the Guntank.

All units, remain on standby.

We're preparing the Guntank for launch.

Only one enemy machine?

Get going, Hayato!

Right!

We're only sending out the Guntank?

We'd send Kai, but he's still in the shower.

Okay.

I think I'll go with him.

Get Hayato to launch first.

He wants to launch in the Gundam, but is that okay?

That's fine.

Let him take off.

Sayla, why don't you get some rest?

You can use the room in the gravity block.

But what about the enemy?

Lieutenant Sleggar will relieve you.

Get some rest.

That's an order.

Yes, sir. Right away.

What were the results of Sayla's physical?

The results were normal.

She's healthy.

I see.

I'm taking a direct course!

I'll reach the enemy in 110 seconds!

Then I'll cut off the radio!

Is that it?

What's that?

That mobile armor isn't like the one from before.

Dimitri has taken off?

I warned him not to go.

Why did you let him leave?

And without my permission?

Sorry to disobey you,

but you would have never allowed him to avenge Ensign Tokwan.

Furthermore, Dimitri is the mobile armor Zakrello's test pilot.

I've never even heard of that mobile armor!

It was abandoned before combat testing.

However, Dimitri says the Zakrello's scattering beam cannon can...

Like I said, this is our own backyard.

Contact Dren's Patrol Team as soon as possible.

I understand now.

I know everyone admired Tokwan and must certainly miss him.

Dimitri must return as soon as he's satisfied.

Yes, sir! Thank you very much!

However, should anything like this ever happen again, you will be court-martialed, Lieutenant.

That's fast!

Is it different from the last one?

It's packing missiles too!

One more shot should do the trick for that knock-off mobile armor!

Did I miss?

I didn't hit it!

Hayato! Hang on!

Another mobile suit?

But that one's pretty fast.

What could possibly have such speed?

There you are!

This guy's getting on my nerves!

Okay! I'll take care of that knock-off first!

You're mine!

This fool is using the same moves.

No mistake.

That was a direct hit to his engine.

The computer was able to easily predict his moves.

What the heck was he trying to do?

Amuro, do you read me?

Destruction of mobile armor, confirmed.

Return at once.

At the moment, the enemy's movements have stalled.

Roger.

I was hit twice out there.

I'm doubling back now.

What's wrong?

Did two battles in a row tire you out?

No. The Gundam's right arm was damaged.

But we wiped out the enemy.

You should take some time to relax.

You're only saying that because you don't know Char, Lieutenant.

He'll be back to make his next move before you know it.

They throw his name around a lot on the bridge too.

Is he really that great?

He's always a step ahead.

He pilots mobile suits himself too.

He's formidable.

I'd love to meet this Char guy.

Shouldn't you be resting?

Y-Yes.

Amuro, take a break.

I'll handle things here.

Thanks.

I'll head up to the bridge.

Sayla.

Lieutenant, shouldn't you be at the main cannons?

What about it?

Mr. Bright will be angry.

We're in a battle, after all.

You're a pest, you know that?

Come on.

We'll talk when things quiet down.

Sure.

They're always talking about my brother.

Can we get in touch with the Camel Fleet?

Yes, sir.

The ship's route is on the computer, so we can use it to trace them.

Open a laser comm channel.

Yes, sir.

Captain.

I'm sorry about the situation with Dimitri.

Don't worry.

I couldn't care less about a weapon I wasn't even aware of.

Yes, sir.

You'll make it up to me someday, Mulligan.

Yes, sir.

We have established contact with Lieutenant Dren of the Camel Fleet, sir!

It's been too long, Commander Char!

Or rather, it's "Captain" now, isn't it?

You haven't changed a bit, Dren.

Yes, sir.

We're after the Trojan Horse.

You should be able to intercept them from your fleet's current position.

You can't get free of that thing, can you?

Understood.

Can you catch up with us?

Who do you think you're talking to, Dren?

Please forgive me, Captain!

Change course! Minus 110!

We're going after the Trojan Horse!

I can never forgive the Zabi family, Artesia.

Don't try to get in my way.

I don't approve of what you're doing, Brother.

Looks like some other sections were severed as well.

Replace the TC-17 block too.

It's damaged.

Okay!

What's up?

Can we talk for a minute?

Sure, no problem.

What do I have to do to quickly become a good pilot?

But you're already a good pilot, Sayla.

I'm not looking for compliments, Amuro.

I just want to survive this war and keep living.

You've been acting weird lately.

I think I can take on Char.

No way!

Back when he was using the Zaku, somehow I kept up with him.

But now...

It was just a thought, Amuro.

If only I were like you.

Fraw Bow!

Hold on! I'm verifying the information.

Three enemy battleships at one o'clock bearing thirty degrees overhead!

It looks like they're Musais!

Three Musais detected!

Please go to combat status immediately!

The Zanzibar is behind us and those Musais are in front.

We have no choice but to break through them!

All hands, go to level one battle stations!

Entering level one combat speed.

Check all defense mechanisms!

ECM and the laser searcher are at maximum!

Dispersing Minovsky particles at combat levels!

Here we go again.

Level one battle stations! Let's go!

Open all gun turrets, main cannons and mega particle cannons.

Attention! We'll be using the same strategy as Captain Char!

All six Rick Dom units, the Camel and the Tokmel!

Commence your attack on the Trojan Horse!

Our old friends the Trojan Horse and the Gundam.

All vessels, full speed ahead!

Targets have passed the F-line.

They're Dom mobile suits.

The kind with skirts.

Fraw Bow! Send Lieutenant Sleggar out in the backup G-Fighter!

Yes, sir.

Lieutenant Sleggar! Proceed to Deck 2 to pilot the G-Fighter.

I thought I was supposed to be on the main cannons.

This is Hayato! Guntank, launching!

Make way for the mighty Petty Officer Hayato.

I'm up next.

Think you've got it down?

Don't rely too much on the computer.

It's only accessible in G-Armor mode.

So you're saying the G-Fighter is manually operated?

Yes, sir.

That suits me just fine!

Good luck!

Thanks!

Bright, do you think Lieutenant Sleggar will be all right?

The Guntank and Guncannon aren't suited for high-speed combat.

The more weapons we deploy, the better our chances.

We'll reach the enemy in 90 seconds!

The Musais are approaching at maximum combat speed!

Sayla! It's time to wake up.

Sayla is already on Deck 2.

She's ready to launch.

I see.

Is she all right?

Are you going to be okay?

I'll be fine, Amuro.

They're not the mobile suits that launched from the Zanzibar, right?

I think a little action should do me some good.

Sayla, you're acting strange.

You think so?

I'm feeling a lot better.

I'll be fine.

Just be careful.

Whatever you say.

What's the status of the Trojan Horse?

They seem to have detected the Musais.

They're increasing speed, but they're still on the same course.

Nice move. They're trying to break through the Musais.

Order the Camel to concentrate all of its fire on the Trojan Horse.

Transmitting now.

Accelerate the Zanzibar ten percent!

Maintain course and pursue the Trojan Horse!

Meanwhile, the 2nd Combined Fleet, commanded by Admiral Tianem,

had launched from Jaburo in South America and was passing through the atmosphere.

They were taking a direct route to Luna II.

Go away.

Now's my chance to show them what a great pilot I am.

All right!

Here goes nothing!

Was that you, Sleggar?

Too soon, man!

Rushing in too soon will only get you shot down.

They've split up into two groups.

We have no choice.

Okay then.

If Hayato's going left, then I'm going...

Kai!

Lieutenant Sleggar is moving away from the Guntank too!

If we all split up, then we don't stand a chance!

Sayla!

Hayato, can you hear me?

If we don't coordinate with the others, we're finished!

If we don't coordinate with the others, we're finished!

They think they can defeat the enemy on their own!

Roger that.

The two of us will move in behind Kai and Sleggar's plane.

Roger.

Bastard!

I have to lure him closer.

Where is he?

Take this!

I got him!

You sure are a lot calmer than I would've figured.

I guess I was wrong about you.

Wait.

O-Oh, no!

Let's do it!

They're good!

Where's the other one?

Fire at the area where the Doms were destroyed!

Charge the Trojan Horse now!

White Base, do you read me?

This is Sayla.

We're turning to support the White Base.

Thanks.

We need to take out the skirts before we can attack the Musais.

Hurry!

Block six has been hit!

That makes four hits in all!

The barrage is too weak!

The enemy is moving around too much!

Tell them to make every shot count!

Fraw! Where's the Gundam?

Almost there!

Just a little longer!

The Musais have passed the F-line!

Incoming beams!

I'll leave the evasive action to you.

Yes, sir!

Hard to starboard!

Main cannons and mega particle cannons, aim for the Musai's bridge or engines!

Fire!

Don't just fire a lot of shots at them!

You have to aim!

Direct hit!

The portside Musai!

Why are you aiming at their turrets?

If we destroy their engines, they won't be able to use their beam cannons!

Concentrate your fire!

Direct all firepower to the portside Musai!

Don't even look at the others!

Sorry for the delay!

The Gundam is ready to launch!

Hurry! We're after the Musais!

Don't worry about the skirted mobile suits!

Roger!

I'm heading out!

A skirted mobile suit!

The Tokmel!

Pull those two Rick Doms back!

They're blocking our fire!

The Camel and Swamel will shoot down the Trojan Horse!

We must finish them off before Captain Char arrives!

Two Musais, incoming!

Attention all gunners!

Only aim at the portside Musai!

Forget about the one to starboard!

What?! I didn't hear you!

They don't see the Gundam out there!

Who's in that Rick Dom?

Fraci, sir!

He says he doesn't see the Gundam!

Impossible! Then where is it?!

Did we get it?!

No. We hit one of their mobile suits.

We're almost have them!

Don't let up!

That's impossible!

The Gundam should be here somewhere!

But where?

Lieutenant Dren!

What?!

Object approaching at twelve o'clock!

What?

It looks like a mobile suit!

Heat sources, closing fast!

Missiles?

They're not headed for this ship, sir!

The Swamel?!

Swamel! Get out of the way!

The Gundam!

That white monster!

It's the Gundam!

Above or below?

Below!

Only one Musai left!

Dren couldn't hold his own until I arrived.

What's the Trojan Horse's course?

Are you sure about that?

Yes, sir.

If we take a direct route to Luna II from here,

there's a 98 percent chance we'll run into the Zanzibar.

All right. Head for Side 6.

Nice moves, Ensign.

I'm sorry I got the G-Fighter damaged.

Chief Petty Officer Amuro chewed me out.

Are you in a hurry to make a name for yourself?

You could say that.

But Bright, they didn't say anything about going to Side 6.

In our current condition, we wouldn't stand a chance if we engaged the Zanzibar.

He's right.

Even from the outside, it's obvious how bad the White Base is damaged.

Is there a problem, Mirai?

N-No, sir.

Side 6 is a neutral colony.

The Antarctic Treaty prohibits any kind of warfare there.

With some luck, we might even get the White Base repaired.

However, there's also the possibility that we'll be surrounded by Zeons.

Can't help that.

We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I can't believe this.

Changing course!

The White Base is heading for Side 6!

Side 6.

Out of all of the Sides that were constructed,

it is the only one that does not belong to the Principality of Zeon or the Earth Federation.

It is not participating in the war.

Additionally, all battles are strictly prohibited within Side 6's territory.

Side 6, the place where several people are about to be reunited.

Mirai with Cameron.

Amuro with his father.

In war, are people inevitably forced to shed tears?

And then, Conscon ridicules Char for his incompetence.

Mobile Suit Gundam.

Next time, "Conscon's Assault."

Next Time

Conscon's Assault

Can you survive?
