The prime suspect in the major

Shanghai financial scam case Dai Yichen, who had fled for 1 years,

Has finally revealed his tail.

Oh!

Great news!

Through the suspect we just captured in Thailand,

Tan Zuhui

We discovered a very important lead.

Dai Yichen IS now in Paris.

As for his exact location,

We are still searching.

Contact the Bureau of International Cooperation immediately,

Ask them to liaise

With the French Police for assistance.

Based on intel analysis,

The suspect has obtained a French Guiana passport.

This task won't be easy

Who's the lead?

Ye Jun.

In these past 7 years,

He has been in charge of this case.

No one knows Dai Yichen better than him.

We must apprehend Dai Yichen and bring him back.

To provide justice for the victims,

It will also serve as a strong deterrent

To fugitives overseas.

Now in both hardware and software,

We are different than ever before.

With the growth of our country

And the rise of our id:) national power,

We are now completely capable

Of declaring to all the criminals fled beyond borders:

No matter where they flee,

We will pursue them!

Are you all packed?

I haven't even unpacked my luggage since I got back.

I\'"l just stuff in two more heavyjackets when I go home.

Here you are

Not happy that I'm sending you away, huh?

You've just got k back, and now you are going again.

Have a a bite.

How long will it take this time again?

Don't be so upset!

Know you just got back.

It's only a few days!

How come everything I took today was out of focus?

How long have you been using it?

III buy you a new one after Paris.

Don't need it.

I'm used to this one, and it'l still work after a repair.

Look, still blurry.

Try one, it's super sweet.

Last night through diplomatic channels,

We've reached an agreement with the French Ministry of t the Interior.

On the grounds of s screening for potential financial risks,

They will freeze the Arc de Triomphe Fund temporarily.

The China-France Extradition Treaty will come into effect in 4 4 days.

This time, we must recover the illicit funds of 17. .48billion.

It's still the same three principles:

Stay safe!

Make no trouble!

Get things done!

Yes, sir!

With my experience as a criminal investigator,

Why dolget the feeling that Chief's three principles are contradictory?

Stay safe and make no trouble?

How can we ever get things done?

It's always to follow the first two, and then get things done.

Let H him figure it out I himself.

Money is Dai Yichen's lifeline.

Once we have his money, we'll have him.

PARIS FRANCE

Hello

Hello

Please come over here, thank you.

Please follow me, Sir.

What's wrong?

Your arms.

It's the special procedure for foreign police officers,

To comply with international practice

Of course.

Thanks.

Turn around

Sir, you have to go now.

Sure.

Okay.

The Chinese Police Liaison Officer in France

| see you now.

There you are

Counsellor Liu?

Hello Captain Ye!

Hello.

Hello, I'm Guo Xiaojia.

Hello.

Zhao Yi.

Hello! Is everything going well?

All is good

Car's over there.

Great.

Following the recent outbreak of multiple violent events in Paris,

The police have become more vigilant than usual.

Basedon the intel we gathered,

The sightings we had of Dai Yichen are all in rich neighborhoods.

But his accurate location is still to be found.

Time is running out,

We have to lock down the exact location as soon as possible.

Yes.

We'll narrow it down as best as we can.

As for this arrest operation,

The embassy will give its full support,

To be your strong backing.

MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR

William James is Dai Yichen.

He's on the list of international Red Notices.

The money he invested

Is illicit money from China.

The suspect we caught in Thailand

Helped him make the , transfers to France.

Economic crime is based on two elements:

Money.

Money and people. Any exchange comes with trace.

We investigated massive data with a special software,

Which clearly shows US

How Dai got his money illegally.

Being from the Ministry of Finance, I'd like to know

How much moneywe are talking about h here?

Micit money was 2.6 billion euros.

We'd like to - investigate Dai Yichen,

Then arrest and extradite him.

However, he has the right to appeal to the courtto discharge the freezing order,

Unless you can prove that those are not legal.

France will not cover any criminal acts.

The Director of Police at the French Ministry of the Interior: Victor

All departments here will actively assist you.

Got a question.

Let me introduce you Noel.

He will coordinate all the investigations

This guy just mentioned arrest and extradition,

But who is the subject of this investigation?

Are we talking about Dai Yichen, suspect in the International Red Notices' List?

Or about William James, the French Guiana citizen?

Henry?

Immigrationconfirmed that William James' passport is legal.

Then he's a French citizen.

So how / in fact are you expecting me

To arrest a French citizen and set him up for extradition?

Excuse me, captain.

Dai Yichen changed his identities many times.

He applied citizenship

In the third country with another people's name

Who has legal status.

Our latest evidence shows

That William James is also his fake name.

The extradition treaty will take effect in 4 days.

After 7 years of hunting,

We must catch him.

So there IS no rush.

Cause in4 4 days

France will still be a democratic country,

Just relax.

Of course.

I'm sure this Noel must have been bought by Dai Yichen.

Police cooperation between Europe and US has only just begun,

There are inherent differences in culture and ideology.

We've got company. Split up

Wait.

Hurry dn

Their leader is getting off.

Follow him.

He's fooling US.

Hello.

Hello.

Hello,may I help you?

Can I see this cell phone?

Which one?

I prefer black.

Yes

Thank you, and this one

Can I see the CCTV camera?

That one?

Yes, that one.

Thank you.

Got everything?

Yes.

Goodbye

What's wrong?

Nothing.

Let's go

It's here.

Great.

This is the hotel.

This car is for you guys to use

Thank you.

Stay in touch.

Thanks for your trouble.

It's my duty.

Goodbye. Everyone, have a good rest!

Bye, Counsellor!

Captain Ye, you take the biggest room over there.

Great.

Then which room IS mine?

Whichever thesmallest.

Xiaojia, order somefood.

Do you want Chinese or French food?

French! We are in Paris!

I"I order Chinese then.

French, please

Which one IS mine?

That's for Captain nYe.

II use this one then, so girlish.

Be careful and don't get i infected

This is a Trojan virus I just downloaded.

Must be all games inside, right?

I don't have that t hobby of yours.

Chief Cheng, the meeting didn't go well.

Captain Ye,t there's an extra note in my bag.

It's Dai Yichen's address.

Check it.

We've got some informants here in Paris just like our Chaoyang residents.

Chief Cheng, II stall Dai Yichen

Until the extradition comes into effect.

It's real.

It might be Dai's trap.

A trap can also be an opportunity.

How aboutlgo and scout first?

No.

You're too conspicuous. If : anyone should go, it should Ibe me.

Let's wait.

Captain Ye?

Since you are already here,

Why not come up and have a seat?

Let's go!

You must be Captain Ye!

Mr. Dai, pleasure!

Welcome to Paris.

Please come in.

This way

Make yourselves at home

Will do!

Very skilled with the knife

Looks like Mr. Dai cooks often.

It's been seven or eight years for us.

Finally, we meet.

Are you confident this time?

It hasn't been easy

Right.

Not easy indeed

You haven't eaten yet, have you?

Not yet.

Want a drink?

Let's drink!

Good for sleep

I haven't been sleeping well for t the past few years.

But I dare e not to take sleeping pills.

Afraid I might sleep too deeply.

My sleep isn't that good either.

Actually,l have a solution

For our mutual problem of insomnia.

Mr. Dai's solution is?

50 million yuan for each of you,

Including the lady in the car.

Dai Yichen!

You are bribing the police!

So what?

Need a smoke.

That's not the number I have in mind.

Then you name your price

Seventeen billion four hundred

And eighty million.

Fine.

I川I think about it.

My client is suing you for trespassing.

Hello, Counsellor Liu!

Ye Jun and Zhao Yi were just taken away by Noel.

What happened?

Im quite sure

He was bought off l by Dai Yichen long ago.

Shut t up!

No talking!

Where are you?

I'm outside Dai Yichen's place

That's bad. .You fell into his trap.

Ijust got a subpoena. We are going to court tomorrow.

Dai Yichen appealed to unfreeze his assets.

I'm coming over.

Okay. Be careful!

Understand.

L've sued them with breaking and entering

Into the house of a French Guiana passport holder,

As well as attempting to blackmail my client.

However, the Chinese embassy will certainly intervene.

The police will keep them for

24 hours at best.

I don't understand.

How could the Chinese cops find you sO fast?

Was sold out.

By who?

Have bad news.

The China-France Extradition Treaty

And the Criminal Investigation Cooperation Agreement

Will take effect in three days.

See.

And when that happens, when the account unfreezes,

Want to 06 with you.

Causes as a lawyer,

L've done too many dirty deeds fory you already

How could I leave you all alone?

Oh my God! Baby!

Like it?

Iove it.

The second day

Get t the horse ready immediately.

My little daughter insists on riding the champion horse.

What's going on?

You've done something very foolish.

Do you really think you can get rid of me

By telling the Chinese where I live?

I don't understand what you're talking about.

We are partners; it would op me no good.

Bastien!

If l get : arrested

Make sure you go down with me

William, there must have been some misunderstanding.

Your uncle's here.

Hello uncle!

Good morning, Captain!

This is the release document from the Ministry of Interior.

You guys know too well that

In France, Chinese police are not allowed to enforce the law without authorization.

They are not allowed to come into contact with suspects

Without their French counterparts present.

This was obviously a trap.

They entered upon his invitation,

It's not trespassing.

Excuse me, for me it's all about the evidence.

It's the law!

Guarantee

This won't be happening again.

Ialso urge you to understand

The importance of Ye Jun's appearance in court today.

The Chinese cops were taken away by Ministry of Justice.

When? Right now.

What's going on?

Let's go!

In accordance with the request for legal assistance in criminal cases

Made by the Chinese justice Department on July 13th this year,

Which was also approved by the French Ministry of Justice,

An asset freezing order has been activatedon the accounts

And assets owned by Mr. William James.

The appeal Mr. James

Submitted to this court states as follows:

The concerned assets are his lawful property.

Therefore, a motion has been filed

For judicial counter-investigation against his frozen assets.

The court is now in session.

Thank you, your honor.

We've noticed a wave of money laundering,

Spreading around the globe, disturbing the international financial market.

Through this trial,

We sincerely hope both

China and France can work together,

To create an effective way

To cut off the flow of

Illegal money,

As well as improving international financial regulations.

Without any money flow,

How can we achieve economic globalization?

The reason why my client invested his assets abroad

Is because China imposed very strict foreign currency control policies.

But this is not E Beijing.

We are in Paris.

And we trust that this court's verdict

Shall bring US justice!

Okay, copy

What's going on?

They did not s send anyone to take them.

So they are not real police?

Definitely.

These diagrams clearly demonstrate

A money outflow from Cayman,

In the form of 15 transactions.

AIl transacted by Mr. William James,

With different identities

And different companies.

This is fully consistent with the pattern of money laundering.

Objection! Your H honor!

Prosecution needs to present the evidence

Of course, we have evidence

Regarding the actual nature of the capital invested into this Cayman company.

We can prove

There are buying high and selling low

Anomalies in at least 10 of these transactions.

So you are actually saying

That there is not enough evidence

Regarding the source of the funding of this Cayman company?

On the question of buy-high and sell-low,

Want the defendant to answer.

Well, I'm 1no good at business.

I didn't want to lose everything.

So Ihad to sell.

They are over there!

Call for backup.

Dispatch, we need backup.

We are at Fraternity Road, heading for Porte des Lilas.

We need to intercept a grey sedan and d a police escort vehicle.

We're exposed

The real question here is

Whether or not my client paid his taxes to the state,

And whether or not these deals

Got into the admittance criteria of t the French commerce standards.

If all this turns out to be true,

Then the transactions are 100% legal,

And therefore, there shouldn't be any accusations.

Mr. William James is protected k by the French 1 Law,

And is a proud tax payer.

AIl his investments are legitimate.

Drop the gun!

In accordance with the appeal filed I by Mr. William James

For the protection of his personal assets,

This court hereby

Rules against the freezing order.

What are you police doing?

Stop!

What's wrong?

Give me your gun.

TwO men are dead.

They were acting in self-defense

Check the origin of this gun.

It concerns the fate of all of us.

L'd like to take care of it.

Think I agree with your proposal.

You only have two days

Before the extradition.

That's enough.

There are only two beds here

You two inside, "I take the couch.

Put you on the couch? That's not fair to you.

Compared to the injustice I got c on court today,

This s is nothing.

The power Dai Yichen has in France

Is much greater than what we estimated

What's your read on Noel?

Ihave zero trust in this guy.

The cop who followed me yesterday was the same one who was on the scene today.

What do you think, Xiaojia?

Yesterday outside Dai's place,

Noel saw me in the car.

Are you sure?

Hmm.

Here you go.

This is the new number.

Let's s take him to dinner then.

Why op you want to take him to dinner?

I don't want to go.

He's here.

Noel! This way!

How are you?

Hello.

Hello.

What do o you like to drink?

Beer.

Beer?

Beer, please

No talk about work tonight, right?

Yes. Just drinking.

Yes!

Cheers!

This is Chinese liquor.

Strong.

Very strong.

Iike Chinese liquor.

Okay.

Let me try.

Are you sure?

Just give e it to me!

Cheers!

Splendid!

Bravo!

Do you like it?

Noel,

You're my friend

I'm very grateful to you for saving my life.

That's my job.

Let's not talk about work.

Remember?

So.

You two

Drink this up

Two beers, please!

Come on, Captain!

Cheers!

Cheers!

What's that?

YouS should drink three glasses.

No, I can't.

It's too much.

This is Chinese tradition.

Cheers!

OK, let's do this in French style.

Roll.

Smell.

Stop!

In France,

It's very important to look in the eyes.

Perfect!

Perfect!

Cheers!

You are up! Cheers!

Your turn!

Come on!

You used your own credit card to pay for the wine.

Switch it up!

No more money!

It's on me.

Just : a minute,please

You have good eyes.

And my wife is also a cop.

Wow, she's beautiful

She's pregnant.

We are expecting a child, our third one

Wow, it'sa h happy family.

Yeah, we are professionals.

Such a deep affection..

I can't believe it, he can sing.

It's first time.

Yeah, he's good!

Such a deep affection..

Has kept me thinking of you until now.

On the Champs-Elysées,

On the Champs-Elysées,

Noel, come on!

On the Champs-Elysées,

In the sun,in the rain, at noon or midnight,

Everything you could want is on the Champs-Elysées.

On the Champs-Elysées,

On the Champs-Elysées,

In the sun,in the rain, at noon or midnight,

Everything you could want is on the Champs-Elysées.

It's Renault.

Yes?

This Chinese man is very charming.

Rich too.

But he's the devil.

He indeed is the devil.

But he can satisfy all the desires ofa woman.

Yes.

He's like a drug dealer. Because anything he gives,

You'll pay for it.

Nothing in this wide world is free.

Since you work for him,

It looks like I need to hire a new lawyer.

Before you find a new one;

II still be happy to work for you.

They are with me

The fake cops today were mercenaries recently entered into French soil,

But the guns came from Bastien's arsenal.

Captain.

This guy

Was the arsenal administrator of Bastien's security company.

You guys wait outside

Killed himself with a gun.

Idon't think sO.

Eyes wide open,

Iooks frightened,

Definitely not suicide.

Chinese liquor is awesome?

You are not drunk?

Grew up drinking Chinese liquor.

You are lucky

Have an idea.

But I need your cooperation.

AS long as I don't have to drink your Chinese thing again,

It's ( okay.

It's ( okay.

Since Bastien's arsenal manwas murdered,

Iet's use it to our advantage

Call the lawyer.

The open arrest of Bastien

Is having a significant impact on the French stock market.

The third day

Do you really have sufficient evidence?

I'm very sorry.

Ⅱ have an answer for you as soon as possible.

L've been receiving calls since the morning,

Demanding Bastien's release

You are a real troublemaker.

Don't care.

So,how much funding are we giving to the police department this time?

Whatever they need, we'll provide.

IS the kidnapping of the Chinese police officers connected to you?

Mr. Bastien, why were you arrested d by the police?

What are the charges for your arrest?

Is it related to the Arc de Triomphe Fund?

What's your reaction to the sharp drop in the stock price of your fund today?

Hey, ,what are you doing?

Two thousand, please

Did I bet with you?

If I tell Zhao Yi, I can n get a share e too

If you don't, you can get the lion's share

Then keep it safe

Go on with what you're doing.

Bastien!

It's you who killed my arsenal man,

And set me up for kidnapping the Chinese police.

Obviously yes!

You asked for it!

I hate betrayal.

Paris is my turf.

You despicable bastard!

Don't you want to live?

Boss! Shut up!

I'm not your boss.

Okay, tell me.

What op you want?

You know what want.

AII of it?

Including the 1 billion I have invested?

That's the price of your daughter.

And do o you think my friends in the government

Are just for s show?

You mean Bruno or Bertrand?

Call them!

Take their advice!

Let me know by tomorrow.

Goodbye, boss

Regarding the losses incurred from the hindered listing of ArC de Triomphe,

Our intelligence team has fully analyzed d it.

The extradition treaty will come into effect in just one day.

Dai Yichen is anxious to protect t his assets.

He's already begun transferring funds through various channels.

This is → Dai Yichen's typical mindset.

These are the distribution maps of all his funds.

There are even regions in Africa,

With various kinds of projects,

All aimed at high returns.

Xiaojia,

Youtruly deserve the lion's share!

It seems my all-nighter wasn't in vain.

Definitely not in vain.

But all his returns on capital,

Aren't flowing back to Arc de Triomphe.

British Virgin lslands in the Caribbean.

Offshore bank.

I'm back.

What's the situation?

Zhao Yi!

L've just figured out how Dai Yichen

Is using Arc de Triomphe as the parent company

To conduct transactions and d transfer funds through multiple projects.

Take a look.

Since we've already caught Dai Yichen's s tail,

Why distract ourselves by targeting Bastien?

Let me show you something.

Where did you get this?

Noel just sent it over.

L've already cleared it with the French authorities.

Want to take a risk.

Is Noel here?

He's here.

They can hear everything.

We've got a tail.

Hello.

Have a look.

What op you want?

These girls were used I by Dai Yichen.

Now they are all missing.

Ionly want Dai Yichen.

And his account information from Virgin lslands.

William doesn't trust anyone

He keeps all 1 his accounts.

Can't get that information.

He's a cunning fox.

It's not gonna end well for you.

You know too much.

French police can help turn you into a witness.

Can't.

Considering our friendship and the reality of the situation,

Iaccept your t terms

I'm SO pleased, my friend!

You havefinally made the right decision.

Yeah.

Ihave good news

We can start our fund in New York next week.

Good!

Happy?

Very happy.

Lots of money!

Yes, absolutely.

Let's celebrate after t the game

Sure.

Madam Elsa.

As the new chairwoman of Arc de Triomphe Fund,

Will you continue representing Mr. Bastien?

Mr.Bastien and I are still good friends.

Madam Elsa.

After the incident where the Chinese police were kidnapped,

Mr. Bastien was investigated

Which caused his company's stock price to plummet.

Is this the reason for the change of chairperson?

There is info that one big shareholder has got a criminal record back in China.

Are you aware ofit?

What's the nature of your relationship?

The press has obtained photos of you two being seen together frequently.

Did you receive any help from him in transitioning

From a private lawyer to the fund's chairwoman?

We are now in the square outside the Paris Stock Exchange,

Waiting for Mr. Bastien to come out.

He has just signed an agreement, giving up the entire Arc de Triomphe Fund.

Why did you step down from the chair?

Would you give US an answer?

There is a rumor that you were removed

From the chair by your partner and your lawyer.

Are your Chinese partner and your lawyer in a romantic relationship?

The fourth day

What op we op with all the money?

Pute everything into this account.

Okay.

Got it?

Yep.

William doesn't trust anyone

Cause as a lawyer,

L've done too many dirty deeds for you already.

You know too much.

French police can help turn you into a witness.

Elsa is syncing Dai's account info over to uS.

Pass it to the French immediately,

And ask them to cooperate.

Are you okay?

Yes.

You don't look SO good.

Oh! ! It's really hot in here, no?

Right.

Maybe we can do this later.

Sure.

Wanna take a shower?

Yeah.

The French bypassed their firewalls.

The server backend could easily trigger alarms, right?

During synchronization, we installed a malware called FOX.

When it detects interference with the smart processor,

3 MONTHS LATER SHANGHAI

Dai Yichen, let's just consider this matter closed.

Let's go now.

Fox's peeking, careful watching,

Action's starting, back's turning.

Fox's peeking, careful watching,

Hunter's holding,deeply hiding.

Action's starting,back's turning,

Trap's thrown out, chance e is in hand.

On October 15 2017

Dai Yichen was extradited back to China to face legal sanctions,

And was ultimately sentenced to life imprisonment.

The operation "Fox Hunt" has recovered

The entire sum of 17.48 billion yuan in stolen funds

And returned them to the victims who were deceived while purchasing funds.

Cases of overseas fugitive pursuit are happening all the time,

And the "Fox Hunt" operation has never stopped, , it is always ongoing.

No matter how far the fugitive may flee, we will pursue them to the ends of the earth.

This production is solemnly dedicated to the esteemed Chinese People's Police.

We are all people who don't follow the usual rules.

When facing Boss Dai,

Ican only abandon common sense.

Sleep tight.
