Be careful.

Okay.

You two, be careful.

Mom.

Someone is here.

The top female detective from the Royal Information Agency.

Since you're here,

come in.

Dear,

It is snowing rarely.

Take the kids out to play.

Let's go.

The dare-to-die corp from the Phoenix Army,

Liao Xiaohu.

You are a smart person.

If I am really that smart,

I wouldn't have a wife and children with her.

Without them,

you couldn't have been hiding from us for this long.

Why are you doing this?

Without them,

I would have taken that poison.

But now,

I have to give it my all.

Dad!

Run!

♫In the sky, we'd be two lovebirds♫

♫On earth, we'd be two entwined trees♫

Impossible!

The Imperial Concubine Tang died in the summer,

how could it snow?

That's right.

It's snowing.

It is really snowing.

It's snowing.

Honey, hurry up.

Let's go home and bring our clothes inside.

Hey.

Don't go.

You don't like the romantic scenes.

I'll show you another lively one.

Guan Yu traveled thousands miles alone

and killed six generals after five passes .

Don't go!

Don't go!

Please, don't go!

I will show you the lively one,

whatever you like.

Don't go!

Honey.

When did you come?

My silly girl,

why didn't you get an umbrella when it is snowing?

No.

We can't escape.

You got seriously injured again.

This year is a good year.

The villagers make a lot of money

so they are generous about the tips.

I can't escape,

neither can you.

-Dad! -Dad!

Dad!

What happened, dad?

Dad, wake up!

-Mom! -Don't leave us.

Mom!

Daddy, what happened to you?

Dad!

Dad, wake up!

Mom!

Honey?

Do you have something to say to me?

Can we

leave here

and live somewhere else?

Leave?

I'm okay with this.

We can go wherever you want.

Wherever you are, it is home.

How about Yangzhou?

I heard that people there know opera well.

Even a humble envoy form the Liao is so bold.

How dare he assault the officials of the Royal Guesthouse?

If

we wage a war against the Northern Dynasty,

how well prepared are our soldiers and armaments?

Your Majesty,

after years of recuperating and building up strength,

there are total 100,000 soldiers

just in Daming-Hejian.

Horses are over 80,000.

And the food is sufficient for the war for five years.

Plus,

-Longde, Taiyuan. -It has been about a hundred years

since our ancestors allied with the Northern Dynasty.

Our people and the Northerns are living in peace. We should not go to war

until we have no other choices.

Yes.

Minister Zhang,

the envoy from the Northern Dynasty has come a long way.

Please send this thousand-armed Bodhisattva glazed lamp

to You'an Temple.

I hope you can reflect on yourself to the Buddha

and feel the people's joy at peace and fear of wars.

Assist your Majesty

to maintain peace.

I, the Prime Minister,

am loyal to our dynasty.

Heaven and earth can both witness it.

I didn't expect the Empress Dowager was an old fool

and humiliated me in public.

Protect Lord Zhang.

Yes.

Lord Zhang.

Help!

Lord Zhang was assassinated.

Evil God is killing people!

[Strange Door and Dark Blade]

Honey,

the water is hot enough.

Hurry up.

I have to get more wood.

Official from the Royal Information Agency is trespassing my house,

what brings you here?

I didn't expect the legendary top female detective

would become a housemaid.

Honey, who are you talking to?

No one.

It's just a rat.

You are a rat!

Honey.

Be careful.

Don't break my lanterns.

If you touch those lanterns again, I'll kill you.

Hya!

-Hya! -Hya!

Hya!

Hya!

Whoa!

Over there!

They seem to be fighting.

We can send anyone,

but why her?

Jesus!

What a giant rat!

Honey, be careful.

Stop it.

Honey! There is a pervert.

And it's a female pervert!

Honey,

she is the one who breaks in.

What a mess.

The top three masters from the Agency are all in my house.

What do you want?

To visit an old friend.

Can't we?

Oh my God,

so you are the officials of the Royal Information Agency.

I have heard so much about you guys.

Nice to meet you.

You're all wet.

Here, use a towel.

Don't catch a cold.

My lanterns!

My lanterns!

-Why are they all broken? -I heard that brother Zhou is a master at making lanterns.

Yes.

These are all my hard work.

Look at you all.

You can just walk into my house.

But you have to break everything!

-It took me a lot of effort. -What happened?

The murderer is everywhere.

The guards outside the palace only saw an shadow of the evil spirit with eight arms.

Shadow killer.

We think something must be fishy

about this lamp.

But

we can't find anything.

Isn't it weird?

The Bodhisattva knows.

Everyone,

please calm down.

All right.

The case is not solved yet,

and the evidence has been destroyed.

No, no.

Oil lamp.

Curtain.

I need them.

Honey.

Move aside.

Miss Sai,

As a professional shadow player,

I can promise you with all my heart.

Shadows

will never be able to kill anyone.

According to witnesses,

the Evil God also has weapons in its hands.

The weapon is here.

Not only a knife,

but also

a sword.

Come closer to me.

Watch it carefully.

The workmanship of the glass on it

is

really exquisite.

Brother Zhou,

you shall continue investigating it.

Wait for me,

I'll be right back.

Honey.

Miss Sai,

look at the phoenix pattern.

No.

Excuse me.

You guys

don't know how to appreciate art.

Hey man,

His Majesty's coming-of-age ceremony is near,

however the Prime Minister Zhang is now oddly dead.

After days of investigation,

many clues are

leading to the Phoenix Army.

Your favorite green phoenix marrow tea.

Thank you.

You were in charge of

the case of the Phoenix Army.

Now, it is critical.

I'm afraid

it must be you now.

Since Liao Xiaohu resisted arrest and was killed,

the Phoenix Army had been in the dark.

Indeed, it is really tricky.

Can you come back

and help me?

I understand.

I understand your determination to retire.

Think of it as

helping me one last time.

That light?

Is it a toy bow?

I didn't break it.

You're indeed a master.

I have heard so much about you.

I'm impressed.

You're Han Sanjian, right?

I heard about you from my wife.

Then...

where is the last arrow?

The third arrow must be able to shed blood.

You look like you could shed some blood.

Sorry. Sorry for disturbing.

I've washed it.

I've been keeping it for you.

I've washed it for three times.

Too much blood tainting on it.

So the smell can't be washed off.

Thank you.

So this is how you're going to play.

There's something on your head.

When I came to the capital,

I've decided that

I should pay my visit to the Royal Information Agency.

You are old.

You don't have to take the risk yourself.

Waking a sleeping dog

is one of the Thirty-Six Stratagems.

Now,

we have every thing in place.

You're better than me.

It seems like

you've surpassed me.

Please

tell me the next plan.

I,

I am sorry.

Do what you should do.

I want to see

the last scene

of the Southern Dynasty.

Honey, do we have to leave overnight?

Yes.

But,

why?

I'll explain to you later.

Go pack your things. Hurry.

Okay, I'll listen to you.

I'll go wherever you go.

Darling, it's getting late.

Let's rest early.

Detective Tang,

it's me.

What are you doing here again?

We just caught the leader of the Phoenix Army.

He stated that he would only speak if you go there.

Hya!

I heard that the leader of the Phoenix Army was very mysterious,

how did you manage to catch him?

It's strange.

We found his trace during the routine checking.

These dare-to-die assassins

are the descendants of the Northern dynasty soldiers who have died in war.

They have a blood feud with our dynasty.

He must be up to something

for showing up now.

-Hya! -Hya!

The person you want to see is here.

Tell me,

what is your motive?

To kill someone.

Who?

The envoy from the Northern Dynasty who attended the coming-of-age ceremony of the young emperor.

The Northern Dynasty emperor's younger brother?

Yes.

Why would you kill your own people?

That is because if

he died in your territory,

someone will

take revenge on you.

You want to instigate war between the two dynasties?

How many assassins have you sent?

No one yet.

No one yet?

Not until a moment ago.

Now,

I am going to send them.

Tang Ziyan, dare-to-die corps of the Phoenix Army, listen up!

I order you to kill the envoy from the Northern Dynasty, the emperor's younger brother.

Complete it within three days,

and fight to the last gasp!

Do you really believe him?

Then how did he know your name?

He might have known everyone

in the Royal Information Agency.

If she really works for you,

why are you telling us now?

That is because

she is my best disciple among all.

That is because I want you to know

Even if you know in advance

who the Phoenix Army wants to kill,

you can't stop the killing.

Guards!

Take him away.

The phoenix are at play on their terrace.

The phoenix are gone, the river flows on alone.

Flowers and grass bury desolate footpath at Wu Palace.

Dignitaries of Jin Dynasty are now inside tomb mounds.

That's ridiculous.

If Detective Tang really works for them,

why would he expose her?

The art of war says, "Things aren't always what they seem."

That's what he wants us to think.

Alright.

Han Bing.

Yes.

Keep an eye on that old man.

Sir,

what about her?

Sir, you don't need to make things difficult for yourself.

I'm suspicious,

and should be detained.

This is a serious matter,

I'm sorry to have made you go through all this for now.

But I believe

your innocence will be proved soon.

Sir,

I have a request.

Please take good care of my husband.

Don't worry.

I'll supervise and handle it myself.

Thank you.

Let's go.

Do I still need to take them off?

All of them.

Who knows if a female assassin like you

will have any hidden weapons with you or not.

You're avenging me personally under guise of public justice.

Yes.

So what?

Take it off!

Chase after him!

Chase after him!

Bad news!

Yang Shenghan had run away!

What?

If Yang Shenghan runs away,

-my husband will be in danger. -Bad news!

-What does it have to do with me? -Yang Shenghan had run away!

You...

you really are an assassin!

I must go home to save my husband.

Sorry.

Open the door!

I'm sorry.

Open the door!

Come back!

Open the door!

You!

Help!

Help!

Split up.

Yes.

Detective Tang!

Detective Tang!

No!

Stop!

Stop!

Don't move! Stop!

Detective Tang,

come back with me.

I must go home to save my husband,

I'm sorry.

Move!

Shoot!

Han Bing!

Where is she?

Why are you still standing here?

Go after her!

Stop.

I'm sorry for my incompetence,

please...

please punish me.

At this point,

the safety of the emperor's younger brother is our priority.

We must stay by the side of the emperor's younger brother

when he travel tomorrow.

-Yes, sir. -Yes.

Who are you?

What are you doing?

Move.

Go!

There's a swing within the walls, and a path outside the walls.

The passer-by outside the walls,

could hear the laughter of a beauty within the walls.

-The ringing laughter fades to silence by and by, -Where is your cape?

-the passionate one can only sigh for the heartless one. -None of your business.

Li...

Yes, Your Majesty.

There are so many people outside.

There's a high chance that the assassins are hiding inside.

How can I feel safe in the car?

Send a master here

to protect me.

Yes.

Sir Li,

change him with a woman.

Hya!

Close protection?

Of course we should get close to each other.

Step back! Don't move!

-Stop pushing! -Back off!

Why are there so many people?

They have come to see me?

They're here to watch the women's fighting.

Oh.

Why don't they go in?

To be safe,

the performance today will be exclusively for you.

The wiseman said, "It is much more joyful to share the joy than enjoying alone.”

Life is short,

play while you can.

Sir Li,

let everyone in.

Today, I'm going to have fun with the people of the Southern Dynasty!

This...

By the way,

the bill is on me!

Have fun!

Enjoy!

Sir,

this way, please.

According to Sir Li's order,

the private room is ready for you.

This place is not bad.

Sir,

please go upstairs.

To have fun with the people,

I must sit with them definitely.

I want to sit there.

Your Royal Highness,

The first floor is not safe.

You all are martial masters from the Royal Information Agency.

I trust you guys.

Sir, what should we do?

Given the situation,

patrol around and inspect the place.

-Yes. -Yes.

Hurry up!

It's starting!

What took you so long?

The guests are waiting!

Start!

You're blocking me!

Take off your armor and drink.

Sir,

sunflower seeds, snacks, and cakes.

Have a look! Snacks and sunflower seeds!

What's wrong with you?

I asked you to get some wine,

but why are you so slow?

What happened?

Don't worry,

It's just that the person in charge for taking the wine is slow.

Wine? Where is the place to get wine?

There's a wine cellar below.

Why didn't you tell me earlier there's a wine cellar?

Take me there.

it's right under the stage.

Protect the emperor's younger brother!

Here.

We are incompetent,

please punish us.

This is not the time for punishing,

our top priority

is to catch the assassin of the Northern Dynasty emperor's younger brother,

and give the Northern Dynasty an explanation

to avoid us subjected for ridicule.

We have found out that

the death of Minister Zhang and the emperor's younger brother are all related to the Phoenix Army.

The Phoenix Army is evil and elusive.

I would like to humbly request some extra men

in order to catch them all.

I'll send a troop of imperial guards

for your deployment.

Arresting the Phoenix Army is important,

but don't forget,

My coming-of-age ceremony

is in three days.

-Wen Xi. -The most important thing is to make sure nothing goes wrong during the ceremony.

Yes, Your Majesty.

You should assist Li Qing too.

Yes, Your Majesty.

The Tang family has been against us, Phoenix Army.

They now has been wiped out by our people.

You can take this opportunity to hide here

and wait for your call.

From now on, your surname is Tang.

Tang Ziyan.

You never let me down.

You taught me well.

But you shouldn't have got married.

With him,

I can hide myself deeper

and safer.

Maybe.

But he could be your weakness.

You always say,

soldiers are deceitful.

He may be my weakness.

or not.

Being fake and true at the same time,

being true and fake at the same time.

This might be my advantage.

Well said.

Come on.

Now let's see your strength.

You are also a craftsman who are used to master mysterious skills and techniques,

and the manipulation of light and shadow.

If you can escape from my Glass Labyrinth,

I'll let you out.

Honey,

don't worry.

I'm fine here.

Honey.

Look.

I made it...

Honey.

We

can go home now.

Good archery skills. Teacher.

To our hero!

To our hero!

They really think that we Central Plains have no weapons？

Both dynasties have their own borders.

Those who cross the borders should all be killed.

It's common sense.

But their emperor's younger brother was attacked by an assassin in our place.

It's our fault after all.

I think

the death of his younger brother

solved one of his torubles instead.

Maybe

he thanked that assassin in his heart.

But that doesn't prevent them from starting disputes on the borders

with this reason.

Empress Dowager, Your Majesty.

The envoy from the Northern Dynasty wants to see you.

Bring him in.

Bring the envoy from the Northern Dynasty in.

Brothers of the Phoenix Army.

The younger brother

of the stupid emperor of the Northern Dynasty is dead.

We just need to light a fire.

Then, there must be a war between the two dynasties.

I

finally fulfilled my promise.

I can avenge you.

I'm old.

I can't

hold as much liquor as before.

Thanks to the shadow killer that day.

Do you know who he is?

It's not the time yet.

So,

you have another plan, teacher?

In three days,

everything will be clear.

In three days?

Could it be...

the Emperor's coming-of-age ceremony?

Let's not talk about this.

You've completed the mission successfully.

You should be rewarded.

The fire of the Phonix burns the praire.

It grows continually.

Don't stand on ceremony.

You are pregnant!

Great

things

must

be done.

As long as I'm here,

it won't be done.

Empress Dowager.

Your Majesty.

You are still alive!

So, Your Majesty still cares about me.

Don't worry. Don't worry.

My body is unhurt.

Li Jiye.

Yes, Your Majesty.

What's going on?

Empress Dowager, don't blame the Royal Information Agency.

This has nothing to do with them.

You're daydreaming.

I never refuse a beauty's request.

I'll do as you say.

I forgot to ask.

Does it hurt?

I'm worried that my face will have a scar.

It doesn't hurt.

She did this

only to save her husband.

She's such a loyal woman.

Of course I have to help her.

Besides,

doesn't Your Majesty want to use her

to wipe out the Phoenix Army?

Come down!

Come down if you dare.

Come down!

Get down!

God bless us!

Bodhisattva bless me!

I have nothing to do

with the death of these people.

I just passed by

and bumped into them.

They are so pitiful,

so I help them rest in peace.

They died so young.

What a pity.

I'm just a passer-by. Don't scare me. I'm just a passer-by.

Don't scare me.

Help me!

Help me!

You're not dead?

Here.

I'll take you to the doctor.

Anybody? Come here!

Coming.

Come here and help me.

His Majesty ordered people to hire many skilled craftsmen

to build it together.

It's called

Yanyun Wonderland.

One, two.

Harder.

One, two.

Go.

One, two.

Go.

Eunuch Wen Xi.

His Majesty's observatory is over there.

The emperor's younger brother

will be over there.

All the officials and envoys are on the first floor.

We will send more people

to His Majesty and Empress Dowager

I will also keep close to the Empress Dowager and protect her.

If we take back the Empress Dowager's seat half a step,

her view will be slightly affected.

But it can prevent snipers from attacking from both sides.

What do you think, Eunuch Wen Xi?

I think

the view of the Empress Dowager is more important.

As for the extra manpower,

we can just skip it.

As for this female detective,

since the Royal Information Agency is short of staff,

she can help Sir Li protect His Majesty.

I

got here.

Maybe

you can use this lamp as the aim

and show yourself

Eunuch Wen Xi.

I'm sorry.

Nice bow.

Let me try.

Eunuch Wen Xi is right.

Please forgive me

for what I did just now.

It's been a while since you came here last time.

Why are you drinking alone?

The ceremony is coming.

You still want me.

During tomorrow's ceremony,

will you stay by His Majesty

or the Empress Dowager?

Can I see you?

Don't say what you shouldn't say.

Don't ask

what you shouldn't ask.

I heard that His Majesty also invited some women to show their fighting skills today.

Yes.

I know it.

His Majesty still cares about me.

He knows I like this.

Bravo!

Miss Sai, I'm here.

Here!

Bravo!

His Majesty said

he invited the most popular women in the city to perform.

Wenxi.

When will they perform?

They are the next.

Bravo!

Bravo!

Bravo!

Bravo!!

Bravo!

Bravo!

Nice show!

Allow me to congratulate you on your birthday, Your Majesty.

Rise, please.

Come!

Reward them!

Assassin!

Protect His Majesty!

Shoot!

Take His Majesty and leave now.

Let me.

Go and protect His Majesty.

Just go!

Stop!

Stop her!

Stop!

Stop!

Stop her!

Are we going to help?

No.

Wen Xi is impenetrable.

No one in the imperial city can hurt him.

These poor young women.

Them came here only

to die.

Not necessarily.

Yang Shenghan's plan

is not that simple.

Evil God with Eight Arms.

I see.

Wen Xi is the best soldier around the Empress Dowager.

The Empress Dowager is the one they want to kill.

That makes sense.

That's all I can do for you.

From now on,

you are on your own.

Wrong person. She's there.

Sorry about the mistake.

Go now. Take care.

Let's go.

Find the way.

So,

it's you.

How is His Majesty?

Don't worry, Your Majesty.

His Majesty is safe.

His Majesty is under the protection of imperial guards.

His Majesty is worried about your safety.

So, we are sent here.

I thought you ran away.

Why did you come back?

To catch the Evil God.

It's none of your business.

Protect the Empress Dowager.

Don't go!

Protect Empress Dowager first!

I know what to do.

Your Majesty.

This way.

Han Bing.

Yes.

I'll protect the Empress Dowager.

Go and help the two of them.

Yes, Sir.

Sir.

You've just arrived.

How did you know there are two people?

Keep your third arrow

for yourself.

I told you.

The third arrow

ends this in blood.

My silly girl.

It's dark here.

The darkest place is under the candlestick.

The sunlight can't reach every corner.

-I knew it's you. -Why are you here?

Mr Li.

His Majesty has always treated you like his henchman.

Why did you do such a treacherous thing?

His Majesty...

has long been impatient with your criticism.

Without you,

no one can stop him from destroying the peace treaty

and send the troops north.

I did him a favor

by doing this.

You want to provoke a war between the two dynasties?

Who are you exactly?

Even if you kill me,

His Majesty will know who you really are.

You won't get what you want.

It's not me who will kill you.

It's the assassin from the Northern Dynasty.

The emperor avenging his mother,

is perfectly justifiable.

Get down.

What about me?

So, you also assassinated Lord Zhang.

It's too late for you

to understand.

Stop!

Your Majesty, run!

It's you.

Thanks to the shadow killer for helping out that day.

But he is...

You have grown beyond me.

It seems that

you've surpassed me.

Please, teacher.

Tell the next plan.

Finally.

It's just a small trick.

My husband already saw through it.

Stop flattering him.

After all,

he's just a sheep.

But you are a wolf.

No matter how long you wear the sheep skin,

you're still a wolf who is fed by blood and meat.

The Ring of Phoenix Fire.

Since the teacher has passed the Ring to you,

you should know your mission.

Which is to kill you all to avenge my husband.

You betrayed the teacher

and me!

The Empress Dowager is inside.

Go get her!

Your Majesty, I'm sorry.

Over there.

Check there. Hurry!

I'll leave her to you.

Shadow?

You can't catch up with my husband on this.

You concealed what you knew and deceived me.

You should have been executed.

I'm sorry, Your Majesty.

But considering you were eager to save your husband,

and successfully protected the Empress Dowager,

you can be exonerated.

I hope you will

work harder

and lead the Royal Information Agency

to protect the capital.

It's His Majesty's reward.

You should thank His Majesty.

Thank you for your recognition, Your Majesty.

However,

My only wish is

to go home and be an ordinary person.

Are you disobeying the imperial edict?

Let her be.

When the imperial physician treated her,

she was found pregnant.

Let her go home.

From now on,

even if you are alone,

you should be patient

with your child.

No matter how naughty the child is,

he will grow up one day.

I

will remember your words.

Take a look.

Sesame seed cakes.

Delicious cakes.

Mother.

What are you playing today?

What do you want to watch?

Guan Yu rides a thousand miles alone,

and overcomes many difficulties.

Okay.

Let's play Guan Yu.

Bravo!

Bravo!
