Welcome to this video in this series “how
to”.

We have talked about how to set people free,
how to heal the sick, how to hear the voice

of God.

And today we are going to talk about how to
speak in tongues.

And this is a very practical teaching,
very practical video, where I come with a

lot of practical advice.

And I end
up praying for all of you out there and praying

with all of you out there.

When I talk about how to speak in tongues
like everything

else what is important is the truth.

Truth, not tradition.

We need the truth.

We need to know what do the word say, not
what do our traditions say?

I grew up in a tradition where there were
no tongues at all.

But it did not mean that my traditions were
right.

In this case, my tradition was wrong.

The word is the truth.

And when
I talk about tongues, we need to go in and

look at
what the word says.

And it's important you understand it and the
big picture and also how there are different

kinds of tongues and how do you receive the
Holy Spirit?

This video series is very practical, so I
will not in this series go very, very deep

into the doctrines, but I will start there
to do a little commercial for another series

I've done called: fighting for the true gospel.

of the Holy Spirit.

I have one about the Holy Spirit.

I have one about the power of the Holy Spirit,
and then I have an hour teaching about how

to receive the Holy Spirit.

here, but this video here is not so much about

deep doctrines and what the word is saying,
it is more practical.

How does it work?

How do we speak in tongues?

How do we use tongues?

What is the idea with tongues?

I want to say there also, when talking about
the truth in the beginning, I

believe the truth is the tongues, the personal
tongues I'm going to talk about, is for everyone.

It is for everyone.

I know the Bible is also saying, but it's
not everyone who speak in tongues.

But what you need to understand is, that there
are four different kind of tongues, as I see

it, four different kind of tongues.

And one of the tongues or two of the tongues,
I believe, is for everyone.

When you're born again, you have it.

But then there are some tongues it's not for
everyone the same way.

And let me explain it very, very short.

So for you to not get lost in tongues there
are four different kind of tongues, as I see

it.

If I look at those four tongues, the first
is actually what I do now because tongues

mean languages.

I speak in tongues now.

This is what the Greek word is.

It's actually just speaking with your tongues.

It is speaking a language.

When you are born in the natural, when I am
born, when we got born in the flesh, in the

natural, we got a tongues.

And that first tongues, as I say, that tongues
was to communicate with our father, our earthly

father and, of course, every other person
around us.

So we got a natural tongues, a tongues to
communicate with our father here on Earth.

But there is another tongues that is the spiritual
tongues that is…

I believe it is for everyone who's born by
this spirit.

They get this spiritual tongues where they
also can communicate with their father.

But now with
our heavenly father.

So like, the natural tongues is for us to
communicate with our natural father, our earthly

father, and of course, everyone else, our
spiritual tongues is to communicate with our

spiritual father…that
is, where I do not speak on to man because

man do not understand me.

I speak mysteries.

I speak to my father in heaven.

I speak to God.

But there is another tongues again where you
do not just speak directly to

God and you do not speak directly to man,
but you speak to the body of Christ.

Or that is that tongues where the Bible says
it need to be interpreted.

And there is a very clear order when you come
together only speak two and three at a time.

And then we need somebody to come with the
interpretation so it can build up the body.

So this is to speak with our father in heaven
correction on Earth, with our father in heaven

or to build up ourselves and this is to build
up the body.

And the last one is to reach the lost.

And that is also what we saw in acts 2 when
people spoke in other languages, no, people

spoke in tongues and people from other nations
understood what they are saying.

I tried all of it, I tried, I speak this tongue
of course, I do it to you now.

I often speak this tongue to my heavenly father….every
day.

I often have experienced to speak in tongues,
where it is to edify the body, we did a few

days ago, we had a meeting and there came
a tongue and an interpretation.

And I tried this where I got a tongues where
people from other nations understood what

I was saying.

There are four different kind of tongues.

I have a video where I go much, much deeper
into that.

I don't want to do that in this video, but
if you want to know the difference and how

it works, I put a link in together with this
video where you can go in and see how the

different tongues are.

In this video, I'm going to focus on this,
the personal tongues and that I believe is

for everyone.

I believe, when you are born by this spirit,
that tongues you will get, it is a gift to

you, to all of us, thereby not saying that
if you don't speak in songs, you are not born

again.

But if you are born again, you have tongues,
you have the gift, but you need to open your

mouth and start to use it.

And then if you don't open your mouth and
start to use it and that was the same with

me.

I got the Holy Spirit.

I got born again in April, or the Holy Spirit
came into me, changed my

life.

But that was several weeks before I understood
that I already had tongues and I need to open

it, and that was April many years ago,
but we are going to focus on the

personal prayer language, the spiritual, the
tongues… where I speak… not to man, but

I speak to God.

I speak mysteries to God and it is a tongues
I will not stand up in church and speak for

one hour nonstop because then people in church
will not understand what I'm saying.

There I better speak five words with my mouth
and then edifying the church.

So this prayer language is for you between
you and God and not in church, and you don't

go out to the lost on the street and start
to speak to them there, because they will

not understand it, unless you experience this
kind of tongues where the Holy Spirit come

over you and you get a tongue where people
actually understand you.

And I want to say, I want to say about this
tongues, that personal tongues, that personal

prayer language,
this is powerful.

There is a
secret behind that, there is so much more

in that personal prayer language than people
understand today.

If we take a person like Paul, Paul, he said,
I thank

God in Corinthians 14, 18.

I thank God that I speak more in tongues than
anyone else.

Paul, he spoke in tongues all the time.

He spoke in tongues more than anyone else.

And I think that was the secret to his life.

If you look at Paul, Paul was the one in 1.

Corinthians 11,1 who said, Imitate me as I
imitate Christ or follow me as I follow Christ.

Paul said, Imitate me, look at my life
and follow me like I follow Christ.

Paul had a very, very strong relationship
with Jesus, and we all know that, also read

the Bible.

It is interesting it was Paul who said it,
not John, not James, not Peter.

Do you know John, James and Peter and the
rest of the 12 was walking

with Jesus here on Earth.

They saw Jesus do miracles.

Paul never saw that.

They went to Jesus house.

Paul never went to Jesus house.

They did Q&A with Jesus.

Paul never did that.

They walked with Jesus for three years in
the flesh.

Paul never did that.

But Paul was the guy who wrote most of the
New Testament, and Paul was the guy who said:

Imitate me as I imitate Christ.

Paul, if you never walked with Jesus in the
flesh, if you never went to Jesus house, if

you never saw Jesus do one miracle, how can
you know Jesus the way he did it?

By the spirit.

Paul, what is the secret?

I don't know, but I know one thing, he spoke,
in tongues more than anyone else, and this

is how it should be.

We should speak
in tongues as much as we can, because there

is a big, big secret there to our personal
life with God.

But after Paul said, I speak in tongues more
than anyone else, he then said in church,

I read or speak five words you understand
than 10000 words in tongues.

I even not stand up for one hour and speak
non-stop in tongues to people, in church he

spoke a language people understood and the
same of course I'm doing in this video.

I will not I will not do a half hour video
where I speak in tongues, you will not get

anything out of it.

But in my prayer life, I guarantee you I speak
in tongues as much as I can.

Why?

Because I believe there is a secret when it
comes to your personal life with God.

So we are going to look at what is the secret,
what is it tongues is doing?

First thing tongues is doing is: tongues is
building up yourself.

This is one of the things tongues do.

Put it there.

Building up yourself.

1.Corinthians 14,4 is saying this: The one
who speak in tongues

edify himself.

The word edify.

If you go in and look at the
strong concordance, in strong concordance

is G 3618
and it actually mean build a house you are

building up a house, edify yourself or build
up a house is the same word Jesus use in Matthew,

17, when he said: Don't build your house on
sand, but build your house on rock, it is

the same word.

When we speak in tongues, we edify ourselves
or we are building up the temple of the Holy

Spirit, you are building up that temple of
the Holy Spirit.

The House for the Holy Spirit, when you speak
in tongues,

when I'm speaking in tongues…, I am building
up myself, or God is building a house in me

for the Holy Spirit to rest.

And this is the same word.

We are building up ourselves
as a temple of the Holy Spirit.

That is one of the things.

Do you want more of the Holy Spirit in your
life?

Speak in tongues, speaker in tongues as much
as you can,… built up that

temple of the Holy Spirit, so So the Holy
Spirit can dwell in you.

That is one of the things the Bible says.

Another thing, the Bible says, is that when
we speak in tongues, we said, when you speak

in tongues, you do not speak on to man, but
to God, because no one understands you, you

speak mysteries to God.

When you speak in tongues, you speak mysteries
to God.

And this is what we read in 1.

Corinthians 14, 2: For him that speak in an
unknown tongues speak not on to man but to

God, for no one understand him.

What you speak in the spirit, and then in
the spirit, he speaks mysteries.

So when we speak in tongues, we speak mysteries
to God.

What do that mean that it is mysteries we
cannot know?

No, it is mysteries we can know,
because speaking in tongues is part of our

prayer language.

The Bible says here in Romans, 8,26: For the
Holy Spirit help us in our weakness for example

we don't know what we should pray for.

But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings,
that cannot expressed with words.

So the Holy Spirit helps us, and sometimes
it can be with deep, deep, deep pain, where

you are in a situation, where you just have
so much pain and you don't know how to put

words on it.

Words is not enough and there, when you speak
in tongues …

you, you really speak the Holy Spirit, intercede
for you and speak, pray and help you in your

prayer life, but it is also: When we pray,
according

to God's will, the Bible says, we have already
received what we pray for, the question is,

how do you know what Gods will is?

How do you know what Gods will is?

Read the Bible! people say.

Correct!

Read the Bible.

But it's not anything that's written in the
Bible.

Let's say you're going to buy a new car.

Shall I buy a Ford or shall I buy a Honda?

Where do you find Ford in the Bible?

Where do we find Honda in the Bible?

Me for example: Where shall I live in Florida
or California, Florida or California?

Honda or Ford?

Who to marry?

There are so many questions in our lives.

What job to get?

How do we know what Gods will is?

The spirit intercede with you.

So when I stand in a place like: God, oh,
do you want me to go to Florida right now

or go to California?

Oh, God, Florida, California,
Florida, California?...

Florida , God …. Florida , God…California….Oh
yeah.

Oh,…you pray mysteries and then you can
feel how suddenly it raise up in you and something

rise up
from your innermost being to the surface,

to your mind.

And then suddenly…oh God I thank you for
Florida right now.

Thank you for what you're doing there.

Oh God, thank you, God.

And this is how I experienced it.

If I need to buy a new car for example: God
shall I buy the Ford or buy the Honda Accord,

Sheila.

But they, they they they fought God, Sheila,
the Honda....

God, Ford, God?...Honda, God?

What direction do you want me to go here?

God, lead me… so I pray in tongues and my
mind is focused on those things, and the Holy

Spirit intercede with me and help me my prayer
life so … God, what to do, what to do, the

Holy Spirit, take over and lead me in a direction
where yes, yes, God, I thank you for the Ford,

thank you all for giving us this Ford, God.

Thank you for your will and then by that,
by speaking in tongues and interceding in

this, the Holy Spirit lead you and then you
can pray out in your own language.

And then you can pray according to God's will
and believe, that you will receive what you

are praying for.

And therefore satan is a liar and he is trying
to destroy tongues.

Why?

Because it builds up yourself.

It builds up a temple for the Holy Spirit
and we speak mysteries, but mysteries, the

spirit can, you can translate or the spirit
can help you in it, where you in your prayer

life…speaking in tongues and then it comes
to you.

And this is very, very powerful and satan
don't want us to live a powerful life.

And that's why he tried to hinder us in speaking
tongues.

And I want to say right in front that those
people who say that tongues is not for today:

Show me their spiritual life!

They don't have the same testimonies of being
led by the Spirit the same way as others,

also with healing and casting out demons and
all of that.

Why?

Because they don't build up themselves the
way they're supposed to, and they don't know

how it is to be led by the spirit the same
way, if you spoke in tongues.

I don't say they don't have any testimony,
they have, but not the same.

So this is a big secret.

Another thing with tongues is, beside that
is, that you are really connecting with God.

This is what you do with tongues: You connect
with God and it is really connecting with

God to become one with him.

And there is something powerful in this to
connect with God.

I will use an example here.

I know tongues sound for many weird, it sounds
weird for me first time I heard it as the

Bible says.

I came into a church and people spoke in tongues
and I thought they were all crazy.

But short time later I received the Holy Spirit
and I spoke in tongues and it became very,

very natural for me.

When we talk about speaking in tongues, you
connect with God and I will use the example

of the old modem.

If you remember the old modem, that dial to
the internet,

beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep.

I've actually put a sound in here for you
who are not old enough to remember that.

But years ago, when we first got internet,
we did not have the LAN Internet connection

we have now.

We had like a small modem that was dialing
up to the internet over the telephone cable

and dialing up, and then we could get information
on our computer.

And it sounds like this.

Yeah, it is not the most beautiful sound,
but this is how it sounds like.

But when you were connected to the internet,
you could get everything down on your computer.

This is the way to connect with God.

And out of this, it's so much easier to go
from speaking tongues to prophesying, in speaking

tongues, seeing visions.

And I talked in the last lesson about hearing
the voice of God and there I talked about

how God spoke to us with a still voice very
often, I talked about visions and dreams and

prophecies, and all of that is so much easier
to step into and experience, if you speak

in tongues and God doesn't want us to just
stop with tongues, you want us to use it to

connect with God to walk into the supernatural.

Another thing with speaking tongues is that
you become full of this spirit.

You become full of this spirit when you speak
in tongues.

The Bible says, Jesus said that from our innermost
being it shall run out as living water and

there they talked about the spirit of God.

We need to be full of the spirit.

Ephesians, I can read it here, Ephesians 5,18
is saying this: Don't be drunk with wine because

it would ruin your life.

Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit - that
is a command to us.

We should not be drunk by wine.

Why this is going to destroy our life.

We should instead be full of the spirit, be
filled with the spirit.

And then you continue: Singing songs and hymns
and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing

spiritual songs, singing tongues
also or sing, worship God.

So we have got a command…Praise God in new
tongues in your worship, tongues is part of

our prayer life.

Tongues is part of our singing live.

Tongues is part of our life with God, where
we are becoming full of the spirit.

And this is a command we have got to be full
of this spirit.

And it goes when I speak in tongues…it's
coming from the spirit from deep inside of

me….and is running
out, it is coming out of me…Something from

our innermost being is running out.

We are being full of the spirit.

And when you are full of this spirit?

There is wisdom, there's understanding, there's
power, there is boldness.

Look at Peter.

Peter before the spirit came and fill him
up: Jesus, I'll never deny you, never!

But he has the same day, the same night before
the rooster crowed two times he denied him

three times.

But after Peter had this spirit…he stood
with a boldness like never before.

He stood with a power like never before.

The boldness and the power that is coming
by the spirit.

And I feel it.

I feel sometimes if I'm standing in a situation
where I feel intimidated when I feel fearful,

where I feel lack of power, what do I do?...

I really take and pray….and I can feel like
it's coming up….And what is happening?

Boldness.

Power.

Boldness and power and everything else is
coming by the Spirit.

Satan is a liar and that's why he wants to
keep this away from the body and say: no,

no tongues
is only for a few, no, not this personal tongues.

This and this is for a few.

It is not something you can do when you want
to.

But this is for all of us.

So tongues is part of this, there is more.

Tongues is part of our armor of God.

Tongues is part of this, tongues is part of
the armor of God.

Ephesians 6 is talking about that we are in
a war, and it is talking about the belt of

truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the
helmet of salvation, the shield of faith,

the word of God, that is the sword as the
word of God.

And we read about that in Ephesians 6.
and you have heard about the armor of God

many times, I believe, but we stop in verse
17.

I think it is,
the next verse after we are read about the

armor of God, the next verse is: and pray
in this spirit and pray in this spirit.

The armor of God is all of this we read about
with the truth,

with the righteousness, with the salvation
helmet, with the shield of faith, with the

word of God, with the truth, shoes, to go
out with the good news and pray in the spirit.

Pray in the spirit.

This is part of our spiritual warfare.

We can experience attacks sometimes, where
satan, our enemy come over us with attacks

like I've experienced very crazy attacks,
spiritual attacks and I'm not yet, but I already

have all the armor of God with.

But I need to pray in the spirit.

I need to fight in the spirit…I go against
that lie in the name of Jesus …very attack

in my mind, go right now in the name of Jesus…and
take and speak in tongues and go into war,

praying in this spirit, praying in this spirit.

And this is so powerful.

This is part of the war, part of the weapon
in the spiritual war we are in.

And also, when I cast out demons, I often
also prayed there and sometimes I don't know

like what to pray.

And I often just praying in tongues…demon
come out.

And you know what demons don`t like it, you
know, demons don`t like it and demons are

leaving.

So this is a little of what it is when it
come to tongues.

So I would just put
it all together and then I'll give you a few

practical advices, and then I will pray for
you and I'll pray with you.

So how to speak in tongues is what we are
talking about.

We need the truth, not the tradition and the
and the truth is that there are different

kinds of tongues.

Many don't understand that.

We read that very clear in the Bible.

And I see there are four kind of tongues when
you're born in a natural, you get a language

so you can communicate with your earthly father,
when you're born in the spirit, you get a

language, so you can communicate with your
spiritual father, to say it like that, this

is for everyone who is born when you are born
in the flesh.

Everyone have a language when you're born
in the spirit, I believe, everyone has a language,

but you need to start to use it.

It's not often it's not always it come by
itself.

And then there is a tongue when we come together
to edify a church where two and three speak

in the time, and then we need somebody to
interpret.

We don't need the interpretation there and
there.

But this time we need it, Somebody from outside
to come with the interpretation.

This is not something we can just do when
we want to, I cannot say you come with a tongue,

you come with the interpretation, that is
the spirit who is doing that.

And then we have a tongue where we, we speak
suddenly and people from other nations understand

it.

For example I have a friend who was in Africa.

He heard a woman speak fluent Danish and it
hit him so hard and he went to talk with her

and she did not speak Danish, she has spoken
in tongues.

But that was not what he heard.

He heard that Danish and I tried to have a
tongue where people understand it, and every

time that happened is powerful and we need
to see more of that.

But the personal tongues, this one.

It do different things in our life.

It builds up yourself.

It builds up yourself, it is strengthen yourself.

It builds up the temple of the Holy Spirit
in you, so you can have more of the spirit

and you speak in tongues as much as you can,
be like Paul and say: I speak in tongues more

than anyone else.

You also speak mysteries to God…when you
speak in tongues, you don't speak to man,

no one understand, you to speak to God.

You speak mysteries, but you can pray in your
prayer and put your mind on this issue….God,

help me.

What are you saying right now?....

Lead me by your Holy Spirit, God, speak
to me...And you can feel like the Holy Spirit leads.

And it's not something to happen every time.

But sometimes you can feel like the Holy Spirit,
just come …and you really know how to pray

and you get revelation.

So pray for revelation.

You also connect with God, becoming one with
him in tongues and it transform everything

in your life.

The more one with him you are, the more the
world will see and believe and all of it.

You also become full of the spirit.

We are commanded to be full of the spirit
and continue being full of the spirit, and

one of them is speaking in tongues because
it will run out of you, like living water.

So if you feel lack of boldness to go out
to speak to somebody about…come with boldness,

God,…fill me up, right now…If you feel
weak …come with strength right now, call

me boldness right now in the name of Jesus,
come with power.

If you feel you lack power….you can feel
like that power, that strength is coming and

then you can go out and do what you need to
do with boldness and strength and power.

That is also coming by Speaking tongues.

It is a part of the spiritual warfare when
the enemy's coming and attack you from all

areas and you don't know, where it is coming
from, Speaking in tongues, go against it in

the name of Jesus, I go against every lie,
every attack on me and my family….But I

command that to leave…and then you pray.

You speak in tongues.

Use it in your warfare, In this spiritual
warfare.

So that is what we talked about.

When we look at tongues, when I speak in tongues,
I start with Sheila… often…I don't know

why, it is just how it is.

The way I see it.

I pray for many people receiving tongues where
many is like: It just explode out of them.

I never tried that myself untill today, I
never tried it explode out of me, I never

tried like, kaboom, it just came.

No, I got the spirit.

But I did not speak because I did not know
there was anything that was tongues.

And then people prayed for me later and talked
with me and said: open your mouth and speak

and I opened my mouth, just say the first
verse, let it out.

And I start….

And it's like when you start Sheila… imagine
a tub of water, You turn the throng on what it's

called, and then suddenly it will run out
….So I start Sheila.

And then it's like, and I don't know if Sheila…
the first words is for me, my flesh or is

this spirit.

I don't know if it's my mind or the spirit
whose brain,

but I know when I start, Sheila…I can continue
and don't need to think of every word, it

is not like, what is the word saying?

It just running, flowing out of me, like living
water, it just coming out.

So don't compare.

Don't wait for that big explosion.

Sometimes it comes.

With me It was not like that.

Not in the beginning.

I think it was not like that for a month or
two.

But then sudddenly, I experienced a change
and now I tried a different kind of tongues

and I tried in the spiritual warfare, and
I feel how I'm getting full of the spirit.

So I have no doubt, I have no doubt today
that my tongues is real, but there was a period

in my life where I was doubting.

So I believe it's for everyone, I will pray
for you first out there who have who had repented

and was baptized in water but had not yet
received the Holy Spirit, or you are not sure

if you speak in tongues or feel not sure with
it.

I will pray for you right now and I want you
to start to speak where you are.

Be bold.

Just say the first word.

Let it out if it is, don't be afraid.

Yeah, but what if I say something that is
wrong?

My own flesh?

It can be in the beginning, but by you starting
to see the Holy Spirit can come easy and take

over and suddenly it becomes by the spirit.

And that is what we want to see.

So let us pray together and I will pray for
you, and then I would pray something with

you afterwards.

Close your eyes all of you who want the Spirit
and just pray after me!

And then when I pray for you in tongues and
say, now, you need to start to speak in tongues.

Don't think, just let it out!

Ready?

Pray after me.

God, I come to you right now and I repent
and ask you to forgive me.

Set me free in Jesus name and come with your
Holy Spirit and fill me up right now.

Holy Spirit, come over them.

Come over them right now, Holy Spirit!

Open your mouth, just starting!

Speak now.

Let it out, don`t think too much.

Just let it out.

Let it out!

And you just let it out!

hallelujah, and I believe some of you have
received it, if you have not received tongues.

Go back to the gospel, repent and get baptized
and you shall receive the gift of the Holy

Spirit, it is for all, everyone out there,
your sons, your daughters, everyone God is

calling.

For you now who have tongues, so you who have
not yet, if it is, contact us and we can put

For you who have tongues, I want to do something
with you: Look at my mouth now.

When I pray, you pray.

When I stop, you stop.

When I pray loud, you pray loud.

When I say pray quiet, you pray quiet.

So just you like me.

Now.

…. Stop, louder….

Stop, louder….

stop.

Let's shout.

……stop.

The reason I often do this is because you
need to get used to it.

You need to start and stop and start and stop.

I pray for one last week who got the Holy
Spirit

actually a few days ago out on the beach,
receive the Holy Spirit.

The day after she came to the meet, I met
again.

Hey, you got the Holy Spirit yesterday?

Yes, it was powerful.

Yes.

Have you spoken since?

No, no, why not?

It having come to me, no, no, no, no.

You received it, but you only received one
time.

Now you have it, now it is up for you to use
it as much as possible.

Look at my mouth.

Speak now….

stop and I did this with her to get her used
to using it again.

Use it, Stop.

Use it, Stop.

Use it, Stop, get used to it.

And also I want: speak loud because some people
there have never shouted in tongues, there

is a difference, …. If I drive a car and
speak in tongues, and my mind is on thousand

of other things.

And then in my prayer language, focus on something
….Holy Spirit help me right now!

And then if I pray from inside here.

….Holy Spirit come now…… shouting in
tongues…

There is a difference between this, so you
can use it.

You drive a car.

That's fine.

You still build up yourself, but you don't
get anything out of it in your mind unless

you're using your prayer language and help
to pray in your prayer language so the Holy

Spirit can lead it and then in the spiritual
warfare you need to really go in and fight….so,

I hope this teaching help you a lot, and it
will be a blessing to you.

I know it's very practical, and I know there's
a lot of skeptical, critical people out there,

who will criticize everything I said and say,
