Welcome to this teaching.

I want to talk about “how to heal the sick”.

I just a few days ago gave out the first video in this series “how to” where I talk about

how to set people free.

And I've got an amazing response on that.

So many people have given an amazing response to that teaching and it helped them so much.

And I believe that this teaching “how to heal the sick” will also help you.

And this is what we are going to talk about, “how to heal the sick”.

When we talk about how to heal the sick in the name of Jesus, we, of course, need the

truth.

The truth is the word of God.

You need to know what the Bible is saying or you need to know that it is for today,

because if you don't know, it is for today, you're not going to act on it.

If you believe that the gift and healing and all of this was only at that time in the old

times before we got the Bible in the time, when Jesus disciples walked here on earth,

the first disciple, then you will not start to lay hands on the sick, you will not pray

in faith, if you believe, it was only that time.

You will not pray in faith, if you believe it is only for a few select people with a

special gift.

So you need the truth.

You need the truth.

Why?

Because as you are going to see, this is really something simple and something that should

follow all of us who believe.

Roman 10,17 is saying this: faith comes by hearing and hearings by the word of God.

So you need to know what the word of God is saying.

That is where faith comes and I want to come with a simple example.

When I start to heal the sick, I remember one time down in the city, I saw a young guy

with crosses and I prayed for him and God healed him.

He walked from me without crutches.

And I looked at this young man walking without crutches, and I was like, hallelujah.

I was so excited.

And I saw him walking there without crutches.

But suddenly it was like.

A voice came to me or an idea in my head: God doesn`t heal today.

What?

God doesn`t heal today.

Yeah.

Yes, he does.

No, he doesn't.

Yes.

Look at the boy and I could still see him walk there without crutches.

No God doesn`t heal today.

Yes, he does.

I just prayed.

I can see he's healed.

He doesn't need the crutches anymore.

No, God doesn't heal today.

What?

No.

Yes, he does.

By his wound we are healed, lay hand on the sick, there's a recover and I start to quote

scripture.

The word of God and when I quoted the word of God, that temptation, that lie from Satan

disappeared and that was also what Jesus used in the desert when satan came to tempt him.

He used the word of God.

Why?

Because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

When you pray for people again and again, again, again, you get more boldness and I

encourage you, and you get more experience.

But faith comes by the word of God.

So we need the truth.

We need the word of God.

You need to understand what the word is saying.

You need to understand that it was not only that time.

You need to understand that it is for today.

And you need to understand it is not only for a few, but this is for all of us.

So it's a more practical video I want to come with here.

But you need the truth, the word of God to heal the sick.

And what do they need to do?

Lay hands on them, lay hands on the sick, it is actually very, very simple.

If you want to heal the sick, you need to lay hands on them.

If you don't lay hands on people, they will not get healed.

And when you start to lay your hands on them and pray in faith.

You will see them get healed.

And again, why hands?

Because we do it in faith.

Yes, in beginning of Mark, Gospel of Mark, I think it was, they anointed people with

oil and there is an example also in James, where they anointed people with oil.

But the other gospel we just see people lay hands on and that was, what Jesus did also.

You can also anoint people with oil.

I'm not against that.

But why lay hands on?

Because.

We do it in faith and we are doing it according to the word, and this is what the word is

saying.

If you take Mark 16, Jesus is saying this: These signs shall follow them that believe.

So there are signs they are following those that believe and then verse 18: they shall lay

hands on the sick and they shall recover.

So why do I lay hands on the sick?

Because Jesus said that we shall lay hands on sick and they shall recover.

So when I lay hands on sick, I do it in faith, because I have the word to stand on.

The word is saying this and on this word I stand.

And on this word I do lay hands on.

And therefore we see sick people healed, it is actually very, very simple.

Let's say it like this: these signs shall follow them that believe, these signs shall

follow who?

Them, that believe.

Believe in what?

That they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover for example.

So if you believe that if you lay hands on the sick, if you believe that, if you lay

hands on the sick and they shall get healed, that faith makes you lay hands on the sick.

And what will then happen?

You will see people get healed.

And therefore, these signs follow those that what?

lay hands on the sick.

So it's actually very simple, if you believe what the word is saying, you act according

to it.

And if you act according to it, you will see these sign following you.

If you don't believe, you will not lay hands on the sick and you will not see people get

healed.

If you believe you will lay hands on the sick and you will see people get healed.

Very, very simple.

So what should we do to see people get healed, sick get healed?

We should lay hands on them.

Of course, there is times when you are not able to lay hands on people if you pray according

over a counter and there are people on the other side.

I just speak to the sickness.

You can do that.

I pray for people through the TV many times, one time in Denmark, we saw many, many people

get healed all over the country on national TV where I prayed for the sick.

So there is times, where you're not able to lay hands on and you don't need to.

But when I lay hands on, I have this word to stand on.

And therefore, I pray in faith.

But there are other words you can find.

And do it in faith there.

When you now start to lay hands on the sick.

I want to say this.

What is written here?

Don't close your eyes.

Keep your eyes open.

And I don't know how many times I say that to Christians.

People, Christians, they are like people have been to church many years, not new Christians,

they don't do it so much.

But people are being Christians many years, when they pray for people it is like this,

they stand there with their eyes closed.

And don't close your eyes.

Why?

Because then, you cannot see.

Very, very simple.

And you want to see their reaction in their face.

You want to see what is happening.

You want to learn discipleship, experience, all of this comes by doing.

And if you close your eyes every time, you will not see, you will not get experience,

you will not learn.

You are not aware of what is happening around you.

And later, I'm talking about how to cast out demons.

And if you close your eyes, you also there, when you pray for sick people, you can not

see, if there is suddenly a demon that start to manifest instead and you need to go from

healing to a deliverance.

But I will talk about that in one of the next videos, where I talk about how to cast out

demons.

But I'll say: don't close your eyes.

And then pray.

Lay hands on the sick.

Don't close your eyes and pray.

Oh, what to pray.

Just pray.

When I start to pray for sick people, I actually had a prayer I often use and my prayer was:

Oh, God, I pray that you heal them, so they can see, that you are real in the name of

Jesus, amen or something like that.

God, I pray that you heal them, all pain go away, God, I pray that you heal them, so they

can see that you're real and something like that in the name of Jesus, amen.

And I prayed that and people got healed.

Then somebody wrote to me and said: Torben, this is a wrong prayer.

You should not pray.

No, I pray like this.

God, I pray that you will come and heal them so they can see that you are real.

That was what I prayed.

And people got healed when I prayed that prayer.

Then people wrote to me to said: Torben, that is not the right way to pray.

You should not pray for God to heal them, you should just speak to the sickness and

command it to go.

And somebody wrote that to me, and I think they are right.

But when I then start it: sickness go in the name of Jesus, nothing happened.

Go out in the name of Jesus, be healed in the name of Jesus.

Nothing happened.

And I had time when I prayed for people many times, and they did not get healed.

But then when I shift over to the other prayer: God, I pray that you heal them, so they can

see that you are real.

They got healed.

OK.

Why?

Why didn't they get healed when I prayed like this, but they got healed when I prayed that

way, I knew it.

It's not about how you pray, but it's about faith.

And I came into a place, where if I prayed like this, I really believed that God will

come and heal them.

But when I then changed my way of praying and started to pray like that, instead it

was different.

And I prayed and nothing happened, I prayed and nothing happened.

I prayed and nothing happened.

And then I went back to the old prayer I knew, and they got healed.

Now I have changed, now it doesn't matter because I've found out it's not about how

you pray: it is faith.

And if I pray one way or another way or a third way, that is not the importance.

But of course, keep it simple.

Pray short!

God, in the name of Jesus, be healed.

Why praying short?

Because of different reasons.

One of the reasons, pray short is that: when you pray for people, and they don't get healed,

what do you then do?

You pray again.

But if you pray a long prayer, I've seen that, oh, God, the creator of heaven and earth who

created everything and go through the whole Bible and God, thank you for his son, Jesus

Christ, who came down, walked around healing the sick and how he paid the price.

And by his wound, we are healing.

He died.

He rose up again and gave us the Holy Spirit, and we can now lay hands on the sick.

And they should recover.

Jesus, thank you because you in the name of Jesus, that you come and heal that person

right now.

If you pray like a long prayer and they don't get healed first time, then you say: hey,

let me pray again.

No sorry, I don't have time.

They're gone.

Why?

Because they don't have time for those long, long, long prayer.

And, you know, the Pharisees and religious people.

They thought they will be heard because of their long, beautiful prayers.

No, it is faith, simple faith it is not what you pray that is important, it is just praying

in faith.

But what I do, what the Bible says, command it, like a pain in the shoulder, shoulder

shall be healed.

The back be healed right now.

If it is a sickness all over the body, we speak to this body.

We command to be healed in the name of Jesus.

I command pain to go in the name of Jesus.

This is how I often do it.

Just pray in faith.

What if they don't get healed?

Pray again.

Pray again.

Why? we pray, because we believe, what the word is saying, lay hands on the sick and

they shall recover.

They shall get healed.

We pray in faith and we expect.

If it doesn't happen first time, don't give up.

Personal 80 percent of everyone I see get healed.

Have I prayed for two or three or four times.

80 percent.

So if I will stop after the first prayer.

What then?

Then I would lose 80 percent of what I've seen God do.

Why?

Because I need to pray more.

What I often experience, I pray first time nothing happened.

Seems like nothing happened.

Then I pray again.

In the name of Jesus be healed.

And second time, sometimes, hey, I feel it become a little better.

Suddenly faith raises up in you now, because Yes, things are happening.

And then you pray in faith and even more.

And then third time.

Fourth time, all pain is gone.

Don't be afraid to pray more than one time.

If they don't get healed, pray again.

And we actually have a verse here, where Jesus, you know that example, the man who was blind

and Jesus prayed.

And after he prayed, he saw like trees, a man walking around like trees.

And this verse Mark 8,25: After that, he, Jesus, put his hands again

upon his eyes.

So Jesus also prayed again.

One time we see an example.

But if Jesus needed to pray two times that time, could we not imagine that it would be

time we need to pray more than one time?

Pray, pray, pray again.

And the Bible is actually saying: pray, pray and you shall receive, knock and the door

shall be open, you know, ask and you will receive, knock and the door should be open,

seek and you shall be find.

The way it's written in the context there we read in the Bible, it is in a continuing

tense, pray and keep praying until you receive and you shall receive, knock and keep knocking

until the door be open, seek and keep seeking until you find and you shall find.

It's written in that keep going tense, a continuing tense, not just pray one time, pray and keep

praying.

And I want to share testimony.

Years ago, I was doing a teaching about it, and we had some young student with us and

they start to pray for a woman, who was very, very sick.

I had more experience, I have done it longer time that they have.

I prayed ,nothing happened, and I prayed and it seems that nothing happened, but I gave

up.

But those young students did not, they keep praying, they keep praying, and they have

been praying for a half hour, and after a half hour I came.

Nothing happened?

Anything new?

No, the same.

And it was a woman, who had broke the hip and knees and had problem with the food.

And it was really bad.

And at that time, I thought, let's just maybe stop them.

I feel sorry for them somehow.

But after 45 minutes, I came.

Anything new?

Yeah.

I can feel my toes again.

I feel my foot, she was paralyzed also in the foot.

OK, keep praying.

Keep praying.

And after 50 minutes, he was healed and it was beautiful.

Beautiful testimony, she could walk again without things on her leg and walk up and

down, stairs and everything.

And I saw something in them.

They had just that they kept going.

They kept going.

They kept going.

Many of the miracles we have seen, strong miracles, have often been more than just one

prayer.

It has been minutes, many minutes sometimes.

So I want to say: don't give up.

Pray if they don't get healed.

Pray again.

Pray again.

How many times should you pray?

Until they are healed or until they don't allow you to pray anymore and then come back

later if it is like that.

Just keep praying.

Keep it simple.

The question, so again: pray.

And what if they don't get healed?

Pray again.

Pray again.

Pray again.

Pray again, keep it simple.

Keep praying, keep pressing through, pray, keep praying, knock, keep knocking.

Seek, keep seeking.

Continue in it.

Don't give up after one prayer, while we work out of the truth, it is God's will to heal

and we should lay hands on the sick and they shall get healed.

But just keep it simple for now.

Keep praying, keep praying, keep praying.

Then the big question.

And I know there are so many more things you can say, but I want to keep this video not

for one hour, I want to keep it shorter and I want to give you the most important things.

The question is: What if they don't get healed?

And that's always the question.

What is if they don't get healed?

I would say, what if they do get healed?

Why it is always what if they don't?

What if they do?

Why is it always don`t?

I have an easy word what to say, how to react if they don't get healed.

It is actually, first thing I want to admit, I prayed for many, many, many, many, many,

many people, who don't get healed, many.

One thing I've learned, one of the things I do not do: if I pray for them first time,

they don't get healed, pray again.

If they don't get healed, pray again and pray again and pray again.

I come to a point where there seems like they don't get healed.

I will not say: sad, it is finished there.

I would say: Keep going.

Keep believing.

Let's see what happens.

Why?

Because I have seen it.

I've seen it that people get prayed for and later they get healed, like one of the times

I actually prayed for on a distance.

It was through the Danish TV.

I put a hand on the camera, prayed and somebody had a hard of hearing, it is a testimony of

one of my friends, they got born again, She put her hand on the ear when I prayed through

the TV and nothing happened.

But the day after, everyone spoke so loud, so nothing happened right there, it seems

like or the recovering started, but it was first finished next morning when she woke

up.

I've seen that again and again.

So if I pray for people and they don't get healed, I don't run round and testify they

don't get healed, they don't get healed, they don't get healed.

Because I don't know, example one time in Danmark, I remember, I was walking.

I felt very strong the Holy Spirit led me to walk on the other side on the street and

go in another direction.

And I was walking there and praying: God, why do I walk here?

It is so weird to walk here and don't walk this road and this side, what is happening?

And then I turn around a sharp corner.

And as soon as I came around the corner, there was a young girl almost walked into her.

And there she stood with crutches.

When I saw her with crutches, I knew, why I should walk this side, on the other side

of the road, this direction: God wanted me to pray for her.

So I knew, that God had arranged it.

And I prayed in faith, in faith.

I lay my hands on her and hallelujah.

I was excited, because God had arranged it and nothing happened.

Seems like, prayed again, nothing happened, seams like, I prayed again and I prayed again

and: Do you still have pain?

Yes.

Okay.

Bye bye.

And I was really like so surprised there, because the Holy Spirit really led me to her.

Five or six days later, one of my friends called me and say: hey, how are you, Torben?

I'm good.

Are you good?

Yes.

Hey, have you prayed?

Are you praying for people to get healed the last days?

Things are happening.

No, no.

Not a lot.

Not like.

Yeah.

Yeah.

You prayed for somebody's daughter, they would crutches.

Oh, you heard that?

Yeah.

But she didn't get healed.

Yes, she did.

No, no.

See, it was a girl I met, the girl I met there, no, she didn't get healed.

Yes, he did.

No.

Yes.

That's why I'm calling you, because she's in the same class at my daughter, the day

after she came without crutches and told everyone in the whole class how she met a tall guy

without hair on that corner just beside.

And he prayed for her and she got healed.

But she did not understand in her head in the beginning.

And she was so afraid because she was shocked.

So she just said that she didn't get healed and she walked with crutches home, because

she need to understand it first.

It took some time for her to really understand it.

If I had gone around that week and say: she did not get healed, she did not get healed,

she did not get healed, she did not get healed.

I would have shared a wrong testimony, false testimony, because she did get healed.

So if people don't get healed, It doesn't look like they get healed.

I will just leave it.

I would not do so much.

I would say hallelujah, go.

And I would share Jesus still and then say, go on.

Go on.

Let's see what will happen.

Let's see what will happen.

And another thing, when you pray for people: instead of, hey, hey, I'm going to pray for

you.

You're going to get healed right now.

Are you ready?

Are you ready to get healed right now?

It's going to be amazing.

You're going to get healed right now, right now in this moment and you then pray and they

don't get healed right now.

How will you explain that, of course, it is and you almost feel you need to come with

an explanation, but if you go and say: hey, excuse me, can I pray for you?

What did you promise?

You did not promise to heal them.

You promised to pray for them.

And what did you deliver?

You delivered what you promised.

What was that?

Not to heal them, but to pray for them.

So if you ask: can I pray for you and you pray for them, and it looks like they don't

get healed.

You don't need to come with a big explanation, because you did what you promised.

And what was that?

To pray for them.

And I actually found out that people are very, very thankful.

If you offer to pray and you pray and also even if they don't get

healed right there, they are still thankful.

I've seen people, I stopped who have pain.

I prayed for them.

They don't get healed.

And when I share Jesus, they received still and get born again and thankful and their

life was completely changed.

Yes, but they didn't get healed.

But they got born again.

And it was not a problem for them, because just me offering them to pray for them.

They saw my love for them and they saw that I have faith.

Even they don't get healed right there: I had faith.

Why?

Because otherwise I would not offer them to pray for them.

So the whole thing: What if they don't get healed?

Don't focus so much on that.

Don't worry.

Don't worry.

Get rid of that.

Don't focus so much on it.

And that is the thing, people try to make a big thing.

And also, when you pray for people that don't get heeled or look like, they don't get healed,

don't go around and think of that all the time.

Don't get discouraged over those people who don't get healed.

Of course, we want to see everyone get healed, we want to see more.

But don't be discouraged, it doesn't help you.

So don't let this take over.

Instead, think what if they do?

Let this be the focus instead of this, get rid of this and say: what if they do?

What if they do and this is the thing, if you keep it simple and you pray, lay hands

on them, don't close your eyes.

Learn, heal the sick, pray and pray again, it's not only what if they do, they will get

healed, by time people will start to get healed.

Why?

Because if you believe the truth and lay hands on the sick, God have promised that they shall

get healed.

And if you keep doing that, keep praying and keep praying and keep believing and keep praying,

keep believing you, I guarantee you, you will start to see people get healed.

Yeah, but what if they don't?

You just keep growing and keep learning and keep moving on and you will start to see people

get healed and then what more?

What then?

What do I say to people when they get healed?

What do I say to people who don't get healed?

Share Jesus!

No matter if they get healed or don't get healed, when you say, excuse me, can I pray

for you?

And if they say yes, you pray for them.

If they get healed, hallelujah.

Do you know who healed you, it is Jesus Christ and then talk with them about Jesus.

If they don't get healed, hey, the reason I pray for you is actually because I believe

in Jesus Christ.

What about you?

And then you share Jesus.

If you stop and say: excuse me, do you have any pain?

Can I pray for you?

And they say, no, share Jesus also, say: hey, the reason I ask you is actually because of

Jesus.

So no matter if they say yes for prayer, yes, they have pain or no they don`t have pain

or yes for prayer or no for prayer.

No matter if you pray for them and they get healed or pray for them and they don't get

healed: Share Jesus!

That is what you can do.

And Luke 10 is saying go out and heal the sick and then share the gospel.

And this is what we need to do.

We need to heal the sick and share the gospel.

So I encourage you with this video.

Keep it simple.

Take this.

Not only believe in it: Act on it.

Go and do it.

And I guarantee you, if you do it and keep doing it, you will see a lot of results.

You will start to see a lot of people healed and it is going to not change only their lifes,

it is, but it's also going to change your life.

You will be so much more in love with Jesus.

So let's obey him.

Let us pray for sick people.

Let's share Jesus.
