of the big flood

to keep the spirit intact.

the original Ryman Auditorium,

and that is where
family and friends sit

to watch their performers sing.

to honor Winters

I hesitated, not

believe you don't deserve it.

But being here, remembering
what my daddy taught me,

I now know that it is
so much bigger than that.

Music itself is the gift.

And if you can write from
a place of honesty and love,

just like my daddy did, you
have already found your voice.

I get to honor where I came from

and finally, finally believe
in where I'm going, thanks
