[THE FINDER]

Liu Dong, Liu Dong.

How's it going on your end?

Everything's under control.

Okay.

Keep an eye on them.

Captain Zhou,

we've got movement.

Hello?

Where are you guys now?

Captain Zhou,

we'll be there in 10 minutes.

Alright, hurry if you can

Got it.

Boss, no problem.

Okay.

Liu Dong, Liu Dong.

We're out of time.

Get ready to move.

Copy that.

Police!

Don't move!

Don't move!

Police!

Hands up!

[SWAT]

[SWAT]

- Don't move! - Don't move!

Get up.

Don't move!

Stay still.

Captain Zhou.

You okay?

I'm fine.

Captain Zhou,

that's a pretty big deal.

Liu Dong.

Liu Dong! Liu Dong!

- Liu Dong! - Liu Dong, how are you?

- Liu Dong! - Liu Dong!

- Liu Dong! - Liu Dong!

Liu Dong!

Liu Dong!

[Armed Robbery Case at Haiyun City Gold Shop]

This is the report you turned in?

Chief Liu,

I really don't know what ZK is supposed to mean.

That's not what I asked.

My question is

why did you move in on your own

instead of waiting for backup?

What?

Not convinced, huh?

Zhou Weiqiang,

if you're unconvinced go ask Liu Dong.

He's still lying in the hospital!

Let me tell you.

He almost took a shot to a vital spot.

That would leave permanent damage!

You know that?

What kind of team leader are you?

You don't care about your life but others do.

Didn't I

make it clear in the report?

The situation was critical.

They were seconds away from finishing the deal.

I had no choice.

I had to act.

Don't give me that!

I know what you're thinking.

Big fighting champion, right?

Hotshot detective, right?

Let me tell you something.

Whatever skills you've got,

they're for protecting the public

and people's lives and property.

Not for showing off!

You're a police officer,

not some vigilante!

Alright, alright.

I'll write a self-review.

My merit doesn't cancel out my mistakes.

I'll write it, okay?

You think this is funny?

How old are you now?

Your daughter is already in college.

Can you

maybe act a little more mature?

Show some discipline!

Chief Liu,

I've got things to do. I'm leaving.

I don't have time to listen to you nag.

I'm not done talking.

Who said you could leave?

I...

Zhou Weiqiang!

Zhou Weiqiang!

Get back here!

[Certificate of Honor]

[Happy Birthday]

Qing.

Qing.

Qing.

I'm sorry.

It's okay.

I'm used to it.

Guess you're really mad this time.

You haven't even had the cake.

How about we celebrate again?

Zhou Weiqiang,

I know ever since Mom got sick and passed away

you've had it rough raising me alone.

I never wanted to blame you,

but could you please remember it just once?

You're not only a cop.

You're also a dad.

And you forget that every time.

What?

What, I say two words and you're already annoyed?

I just didn't want to make you angry.

I'll write another self-review.

You've already written me

so many self-reviews.

Did any of them help?

Alright, alright.

You...

Go make me longevity noodles.

It's not midnight yet.

Okay.

I'll make them now.

As you wish.

[Happy Birthday]

I really do hope he's a good cop.

But even more than that, I wish he could be a good dad.

Even if that's something I'll never get.

At least… it's my wish.

[Liu Xiaomei, Deceased by Suicide]

Xiaomei!

Xiaomei!

Xiaomei!

Mr. Liu.

- Mr. Liu. - Mr. Liu.

Xiaomei!

Mr. Liu.

Mr. Liu.

Xiaomei!

My condolences.

Mr. Liu,

please accept our condolences.

Officer Zhou,

I don't think

this is as simple as it looks.

Our Xiaomei...

She...

She was always a strong girl.

She wouldn't do that.

She just wouldn't.

Mr. Liu,

after a thorough investigation,

we can now confirm

your daughter died by suicide.

If you want to know the details,

I can have a specialist

explain them to you.

But why?

Why would she do that?

From her chat records,

we found out

she borrowed money from someone

to open a tattoo shop.

And the loan was from a loan shark.

Did you know that?

I didn't.

I didn't know.

I always hoped

she could be like me.

Become…

Become a doctor.

She did open a tattoo shop.

But business was bad.

And the repayment date was coming up.

We believe her death

has something to do with the financial pressure.

Why didn't she tell me?

Mr. Liu,

from the chats with her friend,

we also saw

she said you didn't understand her.

She felt

no matter what she did,

you would never support her.

[One Year late]

[Junhu House Bar]

Alright.

Ladies and gentlemen,

up next

is a song everyone knows.

Tonight, let's party

all night long!

No one goes home sober.

Let's get the energy up!

Zhou Qing,

you still haven't finished your thesis?

What did you say?

I said

you still haven't finished your thesis, right?

Not yet.

Today's my birthday.

Just have a couple drinks with me.

You know I can't drink.

Have mercy on me.

Please just this once.

Begging won't help.

Even if you're my bestie,

I can't break my own rule.

You're impossible!

Drink it yourself.

Qian Jing,

look at the time.

We should go.

I...

I just want to play a little longer.

Are you drunk?

Let's go home.

Dr. Liu,

you're here again?

Officer Zhou,

these are the new clues I've gathered.

All of them are shady micro-loan companies.

Look.

And I've marked a few of them.

Dr. Liu,

I understand how you feel.

But with your situation,

there's really not much I can do.

But you can't ignore this.

Xiaomei is dead.

But there are so many young girls out there.

They're just like Xiaomei。

They're so easy to get taken advantage of.

I know.

And they...

But,

we're the criminal investigation unit.

What you're reporting falls under financial crime.

I gave you their number.

But I don't know them.

I...

I only know you.

Alright.

I get how you feel.

I know you've never been able

to get past Xiaomei's death.

You want to do something for her.

I understand that.

But...

Captain Zhou,

there's a call for you in the office.

Okay, I got it.

Help Dr. Liu out, will you?

Hello?

This is Zhou Weiqiang.

Hello?

Officer Zhou,

I have your daughter.

What?

It's okay.

Come on.

Let's sit here.

I've called a ride.

It'll be here any minute.

It should be close.

The ride's here.

Here.

I'm not drunk.

Slow down.

Don't hold me.

Sit farther in.

Hello?

Is this Miss Zhou?

Have you arrived?

We're already in the car.

Is your number ending in 9372?

Yeah, it is.

I've been waiting for you ages.

Did you get in the wrong car?

Wrong car?

Sir,

are you picking us up?

Sir,

do you hear me?

I think we got in the wrong car.

Sir,

please stop the car.

Stop!

I said stop!

Who are you?

What do you want?

Who I am doesn't matter.

If you want to save your daughter,

do exactly as I say.

Alright.

No problem.

Tell me what you want.

But first,

I need to know everything you say is true.

Go to No. 28, Fairy Pond.

There's a yacht parked there.

Inside, you'll find something

your police friends will be very interested in.

Qian Jing.

Qian Jing.

Qian Jing.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

Zhou Qing, where is this?

I'm so scared, Zhou Qing.

I know.

I think we've been kidnapped.

Kidnapped?

Why would anyone kidnap us?

Zhou Qing,

I don't want to die.

I just turned 20.

Come on.

Get up.

Don't be scared.

Don't be scared.

Captain Zhou, I found it.

It's Zhou Qing's phone.

Can we pinpoint the exact location?

If it's not real-time messaging,

we can only estimate the area.

Li Bing,

go to the tech team and narrow it down.

Okay.

Li,

take a team to the campus area and pull the surveillance.

Find out the last place Zhou Qing was seen.

Update me immediately.

Got it.

I'll check the lead the kidnapper gave.

See what he really wants.

Captain Zhou,

isn't it too dangerous for you to go alone?

No other choice.

I'm a cop,

not a rich man.

Since they're not after money,

I don't think it's too serious.

As long as we don't provoke him.

Captain Zhou,

be careful.

Okay.

Hu.

Leave it to Hu.

Okay.

Take it.

Give it to me.

Here.

Okay.

Stay safe.

I'm leaving.

Take care, Hu.

You two,

watch over that side.

Okay.

Zhou Qing,

hurry think of something.

How can we get out?

Don't panic.

Zhou Qing,

someone is coming.

Zhou Qing.

Keep quiet.

Zhou Qing.

- Zhou Qing! - Qian Jing!

Zhou Qing!

Qian Jing!

Help me!

Qian Jing!

[Haiyun City Police Department Criminal Investigation Division]

Secretary Zhang.

He...

He works for me, what's wrong?

Chief Liu.

Chief Liu.

Any news?

Any news about Qing?

It's complicated now.

We don't have leads yet.

Then hurry up and send someone to look into it!

This is the same gold bar from last year's gold case.

- They must be— - Weiqiang, you think I'm not anxious?

Do you know how much gold we're talking about?

Right now, Customs

Anti-smuggling disciplinary departments,

and several other departments are all looking into it.

Do you know what's the most important?

You are my subordinate.

So what am I supposed to do?

What about Qing?

Liu,

you've been around Qing as she was growing up.

Weiqiang, I understand how you feel.

But I have to tell you:

To avoid suspicion,

you're off the case.

So I'm just supposed to wait?

What about Qing?

What am I supposed to do?

You're a cop.

Me too!

We both follow the rules!

Liu,

all these years,

I owed Qing too much.

This time, I won't let anything happen to her.

I'm telling you.

If you won't help me today,

I quit.

I want to be a good father.

Stop right there!

Does this count as helping you?

Take care.

Thank you.

Hello, Li Bing.

Any progress with the investigation?

There's too much surveillance footage.

We need time.

But we've pinpointed the location of Zhou Qing's phone signal.

Where?

In Rome Home Community.

Rome Home?

I suspect...

Liu Zhijie?

Coming.

Officer Zhou?

It's been so late.

Why are you here?

I was in the neighborhood.

So I came to see you.

I didn't know you were coming.

My place

is a bit of a mess.

I hope you don't mind.

It's OK.

[Girl Succumbs to Injuries After Fall]

[Police Rule Suicide in Preliminary Finding]

This is the information I collected.

[Jinbao Pawnshop]

Predatory lending schemes are everywhere these days.

But I believe

as long as the police and the people are united,

Mei's tragedy won't happen again.

Am I right?

[Calling Zhou Qing]

What are you looking at me for?

Is anything wrong?

[Calling Zhou Qing]

Where is Zhou Qing?

Where is she?

I don't know.

I really don't know

who you are talking about, Officer Zhou.

Zhou Qing is my daughter.

What did you do to her?

I don't know.

I really don't know,

Officer Zhou.

Why do you have her phone?

I found it,

Officer Zhou.

How did you happen to find the phone?

I'm telling the truth. I found it.

I figured the owner might call.

I can...

I can return the phone.

Officer Zhou,

I really don't know.

I know nothing.

Officer Zhou.

I really don't know.

Hello?

Officer Zhou.

It wasn't him.

Who are you?

You want to know who I am?

Go to No. 83 Zhoujiang Road.

Find a person named Zhao Weiran.

Cut the crap.

How is my daughter?

You'll know when you get there.

Qian Jing.

Qian Jing.

Qian Jing.

Are you OK?

Let me help you.

It hurts.

It hurts so bad.

What did he do to me?

He tattooed two butterflies on your back.

Butterflies?

And a string of numbers.

20160617.

Do you know what it means?

I have no idea.

I think we were caught by a pervert.

Zhou Qing.

I'm so scared.

What should we do now?

We must get out of here

and call the police.

OK.

But...

how can we escape?

With Hooke's Law.

My dad taught me about it.

Hello, Li Bing.

Run a check on someone for me.

Her name is Qian Jing.

Yes.

She's Zhou Qing's classmate.

Yes.

Call me as soon as you find anything.

By the way,

please check another person for me,

named Zhao Weiran.

[The Century Bridge]

Stop!

What are you doing here?

Ran sent me here.

Hold on.

Li,

there's someone here to see you.

OK.

On my way.

Li,

someone is here for you.

OK.

Did Ran send you?

Yes.

Come with me.

Get ready tonight.

We're counting on you.

Tell Ran

the new boxer has arrived.

Got it.

Ran will be here soon.

So you must be the Sanshou champion Ran called for.

Yes, I am.

I'll keep the rules simple.

You must play well tonight.

Sure.

I lost a lot on bets last week.

Isn't Ran coming today?

Ran is busy now.

She'll come later.

Can I get some water?

I'm thirsty.

Sure.

Wait a minute.

[I'll send you the location now.]

[Send a team here right away.]

Come on.

Hurry!

Qian Jing!

Qian Jing!

Qian Jing!

Qian Jing!

Don't hit her!

Qian Jing!

Qian Jing!

Zhou Qing, go!

Go!

This will please me.

Let me show you.

Hello?

Someone was hit and injured here.

Send an ambulance.

Hurry!

Come on, get up!

Hang in there.

Ran.

How is it going tonight?

The fights were insane tonight!

The bet amount has skyrocketed multiple times.

OK.

Come on.

Boss,

I knew him.

He's the cop at the dock.

Are you sure?

I'm sure it's him.

Come on.

Beat him!

We won!

Ran,

go drive my away.

OK.

[SWAT]

Police!

Freeze!

Don't move.

Don't move.

Move.

Move.

Police! Freeze!

Police!

Freeze!

Get down!

Police!

Freeze!

Get down!

Don't move!

Get down!

Don't move!

Get down!

- Captain Zhou. - I'll leave it to you.

OK.

Get down!

Get down!

Take them back.

Yes, sir!

Get off the car!

Hands up!

Pull over!

Pull over!

Pull over!

Pull over!

[The Second Hospital Affiliated with SUSTech]

[Special Care Unit]

[Nurse Station]

[Operating Room]

Sir,

how is my daughter?

Luckily, she was brought in to us in time.

She is out of danger now.

We will continue to monitor her closely.

Can I see her now?

You'd better wait until she wakes up.

I'll let you know when she does.

Thank you, sir.

Captain Zhou,

The bureau is waiting for you for a meeting.

We'll stay here.

Don't worry.

OK.

Thank you.

Captain Zhou.

Captain Zhou.

Captain Zhou.

Director Liu.

How is Qing?

She's out of danger.

That's good.

We have a clue about the case.

Come in.

Wang, let's start.

Zhao Weiran, 35 years old.

She graduated from Haizhou Institute of Information Technology

[Major Underground Gold Case, Name: Zhao Weiran]

With a student visa status.

[Loyalty to the Party] [Service to the People]

According to the investigation,

she started operating an online gambling website after graduation,

[Impartiality in Law Enforcement] [Stringency in Discipline]

And made a huge profit.

[Major Underground Gold Case]

In order to launder money,

she laundered her illegal gains

by funneling the proceeds

through small-loan companies and pawnshops,

legitimizing the cash via capital recycling.

In order to transfer the money,

she used her pawnshops

to buy gold in cash, which was then smuggled.

[Major Underground Gold Case]

That explains the large amount of

gold discovered at the dock yesterday.

The gold trade case cracked last year

is also directly linked to her.

[Loyalty to the Party] [Service to the People]

Now,

the clues and information we have

[Impartiality in Law Enforcement] [Stringency in Discipline]

Are mostly provided by the kidnapper.

It appears, then,

that the kidnapper

is highly likely an insider

within the criminal organization.

Or, he wouldn't have known so many details.

Has Zhao Weiran

provided any information on the suspect?

No.

Captain Zhou was the only one who contacted the kidnapper.

And he used the victim's phone.

[Suspect of Zhou Qing's Kidnapping]

However, we recovered some soil samples

[Cast of Zhou Qing's Shoe Print]

From the soles of Zhou Qing's shoes.

The sample contained a high concentration of sulfur.

We suspect

the hostages are hidden

in an abandoned fireworks factory.

Based on our investigation, we've pinpointed the exact location.

Comrades,

[Loyalty to the Party] [Service to the People]

Based on the current situation,

we must launch the operation immediately.

[Impartiality in Law Enforcement] [Stringency in Discipline]

Arrest the suspect as soon as possible.

Remember,

the top priority is the safety of the hostage.

Yes, sir.

[Police]

[Police]

[SWAT]

The Sanshou Champion?

You must be the Sanshou Champion Ran hired?

Yes.

Hello, Li.

Get me the information on all

provincial and city-level Sanshou champions.

Send it to me right away.

OK, got it.

Zhou Qing.

Thank goodness. You're finally awake!

Li Bing.

Inform Captain Zhou.

OK.

How do you feel? Are you feeling better?

I'm fine.

Anywhere else hurting?

Where's my dad?

He went back to the team.

He'll be back soon.

Have a good rest,

and wait for your dad.

Captain Zhou.

Dad.

Qing.

It's fine now.

It's fine now.

Don't be afraid.

Don't be afraid.

Qian Jing...

Have you found her?

Not yet.

Don't worry.

We'll try our best to find her.

I will get her out, no matter what.

Qing,

think carefully, can you remember

any distinguishing features of the person who abducted you?

I remember there was a scar on his left face.

And...

What else?

He also tattooed two butterflies on Qian Jing's back.

Butterflies?

Two red butterflies

and a string of numbers.

20160617.

2016...

0617?

Is it a date?

I think so.

Captain Zhou,

I got the information you asked for.

We've identified a match: Wang Yong.

He's a Sanshou champion at both provincial

and city levels, and he fits the profile.

He used to be a manager

at a loan company under Zhao Weiran.

He even did some underground fighting for her on the side.

There may have been financial disputes between them.

Can we pinpoint him?

We found his last call history.

The location is pinpointed at a scrapyard in the suburbs.

I'll send you the location.

OK.

I got it.

Dad.

Is there any news about Qian Jing?

She is my best friend.

You must try your best to save her.

Don't worry.

I will save her.

I'm not only your father,

but also a police officer.

The People's Police.

Zhou Qing,

take a close look and see if it's this person.

How about this?

I'll go get the forensic sketch artist now.

And you carefully recall again

the suspect's appearance.

Then tell us about it.

Okay?

Yes.

Officer Li, the sketch is done.

Zhou Qing.

Take a close look.

Is it like this?

It is him!

[Li Bing]

What's going on? Why doesn't he answer the phone?

Where is my daughter?

Where is my daughter?

Hello?

Li Bing.

Captain Zhou.

It has now been confirmed

that Wang Yong isn't the suspect.

What?

Zhou Qing has confirmed

that the suspect on the portrait is not Wang Yong.

Got it.

After Qian Jing's mother and I got divorced,

she transferred her household registration to her grandmother's residence

and took her mother's surname.

We haven't been in touch much over the years.

I was quite happy

when I got a call from Qian Jing today.

But it turned out

that it was a man calling.

He said he kidnapped Qian Jing.

And he sent me a video.

What video?

He asked me to come here

to meet him.

Otherwise, he'll kill Qian Jing.

I thought you were that kidnapper.

Have you ever offended anyone?

I used to run a loan company.

I've helped Zhao Weiran do boxing

and give out loans.

And I've offended many people.

But I just can't figure out

who exactly wants to take revenge on me.

20160617.

Is it a date?

I suppose so.

What else?

He tattooed two butterflies on Qian Jing's back.

Butterflies?

Let me ask you.

Where were you on June 17, 2016?

2016?

It's been too long ago.

I can't remember.

Let me remind you one more thing.

The person with two butterflies tattooed on the body.

Who is that?

Officer Zhou,

I don't know what you're talking about.

Wang Yong.

If you want to save your daughter,

you must answer my question honestly.

Otherwise, no one can save her.

What are you doing?

What are you doing?

Who are you?

Let go of me!

Help!

Let go of me!

Don't move!

Wang.

Give me two more days.

I promise I will pay you back, Wang.

No!

No!

No!

Wang!

Let go of me!

Stay still!

No!

No!

No!

You two, be gentle.

No!

If I don't see the money in two days,

I'll send the videos in this phone

to all your relatives and friends.

Later, I heard that she committed suicide.

Hello, Captain Zhou.

Hello, Li Bing.

Take the portrait and go to Liu Zhijie's place immediately.

He must be able to provide some clues.

Okay, Captain Zhou.

Hey.

Coming.

Officer Li, why are you here?

Come and have a seat.

Liu Zhijie.

Do you know this person?

I-Isn't this Yan Ming?

What's wrong with him?

What does he do?

He… I'm not quite sure what he does.

But he used to be our neighbor.

He grew up with Xiaomei.

He was very smart.

But after his parents passed away in a car accident,

he hardly interacted with others anymore.

When Xiaomei was young, she always feared that he would feel wronged

and be bullied by others.

So she always took the initiative to hang out with him.

Those who don't know

would even think that they were siblings.

Hello, Li Bing.

Captain Zhou.

We've confirmed

that the suspect is called Yan Ming.

Launch an investigation immediately.

I'm taking Wang Yong back to the station now.

Sure.

Okay.

This guy is a computer master, huh?

That's why he could blatantly hack into the systems

and find the clues we couldn't find.

That makes sense.

Dare you look again?

Stop hitting! Go away!

Go away!

Go away!

Stop hitting! Leave now!

Or I'll call the police.

How dare you look at our big bro's girlfriend?

Ugly man. Don't let me see you again!

- Let's go! - Go to hell!

Are you okay?

Are you dumb? Can't you run away?

Are you okay?

Get up.

Let me help you.

I didn't look at his girlfriend. I really didn't.

I got it.

[Xiaomei's Tattoo] [All tattoos have meanings]

[Xiaomei's Tattoo]

It's done.

Take a look.

Not bad, right?

Yes.

Congratulations!

You became my first customer.

Well, consider this a gift for you.

Thank you.

Xiaomei.

Where did you get the money to set up a tattoo shop?

Of course I borrowed it.

Don't tell my dad.

Okay.

Here, look.

Our tattoos are a pair.

What's wrong?

The old factory.

The chimney.

Officer Zhou, take me with you.

Stay put!

Officer Zhou. Officer Zhou!

Let go of me!

I'll go with you.

Officer Zhou!

Officer Zhou.

You've found this place so soon.

Yan Ming.

I know everything you did.

Release her immediately!

It's not too late for you to stop now.

Where's Wang Yong?

Wang Yong has been arrested.

He will be brought to justice for what he did.

Bring Wang Yong here.

Mind your own business first.

Otherwise, no one can help you.

I said, bring Wang Yong here!

Stop!

Man! Man!

Calm down!

I'm Wang Yong.

You can talk to me.

Don't hurt my daughter!

I beg you.

I beg you!

I beg you.

Don't hurt her.

Did you give Xiaomei a chance when she begged you?

Alright, alright.

You're the boss.

I'll do whatever you want me to do.

I'll listen to you!

Alright. I'll give you a chance.

Say it.

Kill him.

Kill him!

Kill him now!

Enough!

Wang Yong.

You want your daughter to die, huh?

I'll only give you five minutes.

Stop!

Officer Zhou.

Don't blame me!

Wang Yong!

Hurry and save your daughter!

If you want to save your daughter, listen to me.

Qian Jing, don't be afraid.

Daddy is here.

Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid.

Qian Jing, don't be afraid.

What should we do, Officer Zhou?

Officer Zhou! What should we do?

Officer Zhou!

Calm down. Calm down.

Don't be afraid.

Don't be afraid.

Officer Zhou, what should we do?

Don't be afraid.

Dad!

Dad!

Hurry up!

[Police]

[Police]

Don't move.

For this jerk,

is it worth it?

I'm a member of the People's Police.

It's my duty to protect the people.

He should be brought to justice

for his wrongdoing.

Stop it. It's not too late.

Let's die together!

Don't move!
