it's almost certainly the girl you've been looking for.

First impressions are she's got a significant injury

to the back of her head.

But I think after Laura was struck,

she ran through the forest to escape.

SOCOs are picking up a trail of hair and blood spots

through the trees that start way down there

and end up near the stream where she was found.

My guess is that she ran and kept running until she fainted,

lost consciousness, then bled out through the head wound.

So the initial attack could have happened

before Laura entered the woods. Correct.

Any sign of sexual assault?

No. She's fully clothed, so you'll have to wait

till I get her back to the mortuary for a definite answer.

I did find a single bite mark on her right arm.

Difficult to say what made it at this stage.

An animal got to her? Yeah, more than likely.
