All language subtitles for 2. Orbit tool and look around tool

The orbit tool and never Cirque's is quite common.

It's actually one of my favorites as opposed to the walk to the orbit to Lazear for you to rotate your

entire model or to more easily zoom in and zoom out.

NASA's works can be a tad quirky when it comes to orbiting.

But this is going to be one function you want to master.

So to get started let's open the file navvy's works essential that anybody.

Or of course you can use your own model if you want to orbit follow along.

Click the Open button.

I'm going to go to where I have all my models stored in my nevus folder.

Mature my files of type are set for navvy's for X and WD click on that is for X the central and I'm

going to open it up generally by default the orbit button is your default.

If it's not.

Go ahead and click the button anyway.

Notice that you have a little recycle icon orbit around a model.

Simply hold on your pick button and move in the direction you'd like to orbit.

You can move it up or down left and right.

It's more of a pivot point.

The further control the point we can select an item and rotate around it.

For example if I wanted to pivot around this back staircase I can hover over the staircase right click

and just click on select no one I hold down the pick button.

Notice that my focus is on that staircase.

If I want to zoom in on the staircase hover your pointer over the top of it and wheel away from me noticed

that we're wheeling in on the staircase.

If you hold on the button noticed that we're so orbiting about that staircase.

If you'd like to pan left or right up or down simply hold down the wheel button.

And it really moved you to the pan command.

If you hit escape a couple of times the de-select the stairs hold down the pan button.

That will do the same thing.

If you pivot again it will actually remember the last spot you pivoted upon

if you will way back.

You can zoom way out on the viewpoint tab.

You can change a couple of different things.

The first thing you can change is the perspective.

It can be either orthographic or prospective.

You can change your field of view.

Zoom way out or does zoom way.

And also now that we're getting used to the orbit tool you can start to judge for yourself which other

navigation tools you would rather use.

I like the look around tool for two reasons.

One is the icon.

It's an eyeball.

The second reason is what it actually does.

This tool allows you to stop and look around as if you were just standing there.

What's also nice about this too is the spot where you stop looking is the perspective you bring with

you as you commence with the other navigation mode you are an so tickets started.

Let's open the file called natus first essential and W D or of course you can use your own model if

you want to look around and that is follow along.

Click the open button I'm going to browse to where I keep my exercise files I'm going to go to the Nevis

works folder I want to make sure my files of type are Nevis works.

And the mislike never works.

Essential numnah click OPEN.

I'm going to rotate around to the front of my building.

Now I want to start walking.

But before I do that I'm going to just get my drop down and make sure that collision and gravity are

turned off by doing that you just click the drop down and after check on just select it again and it'll

check it off making sure they're cleared out.

We can start walking

are going to get up to a certain point hold my shift key and my wheel button and pan down.

So I'm walking down the first floor.

I'm going to stop in the hallway.

I think right here is about a good spot to take a look around I'm manipulation bar.

I'm going to click the look around button noticed that the icon changes.

Now if I pick a point and move my mouse away from me I can look up.

I can move to the right I can look to the right move it to the left and then I can look to the left.

So now if I want to look up and if I want to check out the ceiling as I'm walking down the hallway I

can just keep my focus looking up now when I start my walk command I can walk down the hallway and not

go in the actual direction that I'm looking in some of the other navigation commands.

You can't do this.

This is a great way to look through a building while you're looking at a specific item as if you're

standing there looking up walking down the hallway.

Sometimes it's nice to stop and look around every once in a while.

I think you're going to find this tool really handy.
