Now, here's the story of the happiest place on Earth.

On July 17, 1955, Disneyland opened its gates for the first time, and 90

million people nationwide tuned in to watch it live here on ABC.

It began as a dream of Walt Disney, who imagined a place where parents and their

children could have fun together.

Seventy years later, the happiest place on Earth is one of the most popular

destinations in the world, bringing immersive storytelling, visionary

and innovation to a global audience.

Walt said, Disneyland will never be completed as long as there is

left in the world.

So, let's... Begin the competition as we honor the imagination of the Disney

animators and imagineers. First up with a quick step inspired by the movie Cars,

I love this song. This song brings me right back to growing up. Me and my

friends would go adventure and road trip. When we first started rock

we had no idea what we were doing. I would force my friends to go first to

sure they wouldn't fall.

Trust me, they were willing.

whole experience of Dancing with the Stars is like a road trip. We all have

destination, but it's these moments in rehearsal.

At Disney California Adventures, these are the memories that are going to stick

with me the rest of my life. So I want this dance to feel like we're stuck on

the side of the road and we just get out of the car and start dancing.

So I'm excited to dive into his past and see how we can make this movie come to

life in our Quick Steps.

here all 70 years, and it's always been my favorite ride.

I've had so much fun at Disneyland today, but it's time for us to get back

actually it was appropriate because the actual movie that sequence was so much

fun and you incorporated that once you went into the quick step most of it was

very very good but you went wrong you made a mistake with yeah you were off

and you know that never apologize my darling you learn from it you know

otherwise it was really really a very good dynamic

or that body contact, you guys were zipped up like a Ziploc bag.

You were twice.

And you know what I loved about this is it felt like being at Disneyland.

It was like serious and like, oh, wow, it's so amazing. And then also fun and

light and back and forth and back and forth. It was a wild ride and I thought

you did a great job. But there was a mistake.

I did see it at the end. You looked like you were being kind of tossed around a

bit at the end, like your feet weren't under you.

And listen, the dancing, I have to agree with them. The quick step was

fantastic. You glide across that floor. Those shot stays, those lock steps were

beautiful. It was when you went into the Lindy Hop. It got a little out of sync,

and it actually kind of, the energy dropped a little bit. But towards the

that second half was on fire.

musical the series i got to play ryan's love interest this means so much to me i

love you which was the reason that ryan comes out on the show was really cool

for me what were you like in high school I was a choir kid. I had my pocket of

friends, the choir kids, the weird kids. Music was my safe place.

Now, insecurities from the past are coming back up because I don't have that

microphone to hide behind. Right.

And so I'm growing so much as a person. I'm so grateful for this experience.

So amazing.

I'm just so proud of you. Now we just got to keep up the momentum. Yeah. But
