car, whatever next?

NARRATOR: The TeslaModel X may look low key,

but beneath its exterior,
it's full of surprises.

It combines state of theart all electric technology

with supercar
speed, doing naught

to 60 in just 2.9 seconds.

Danny wants these Teslasto look good and stealthy,

so it's now over to Yianni todeliver a full chrome delete.

Danny wants his companycars returned in three days.

He needs to get them back onthe road for his business.

Every part of the
high tech Tesla

is wired to a central
control system,

so the team must do everythingpossible to avoid stripping it.

Because if they interferewith the wiring,

the whole car could malfunction.

So anything
electronically powered,

like the wing mirrors
or door handles,

will have to be
wrapped on the car.

But the badges and signs aren'telectronic and can come off

so Mike pitches straight in.

First he removes the badges,and then he has to tackle

the fragile rear trim.

Off in one piece, no damage.

NARRATOR: But he's not
out of the woods yet.

Two Tesla's means
two sets of trim.

It is slightly nerve racking.

Every time one of these clickspop, my heart skips a beat.

I think I've become
pro at this now.

and even each individualcharacter on the Tesla motifs

must go gloss black.

NARRATOR: And for
once, Alex decides

a vinyl wrap isn't the answer.

With wrapping
them, you're probably

looking at a whole day.

It needs to be sprayed.

It's so much easier.

They come out better as well.

NARRATOR: Alex has to rub downeach badge with a scouring pad

to leave a rough surfacefor the paint to stick to.

Alex, how we getting on, bro?

I need to go.

Yep, all good.

There's only one
set of badges here.

Yeah, that's OK, becauseDanny wasn't want them

on the back of his car and hispartner does, so that's OK,

so we'll paint one set.

And you've got two trim stillgoing glass black as well.

Lovely.

NARRATOR: Leaving his teamto push on with the job,

Yianni takes his
chrome black wrap

BMW out to drop off the badges.

So we're on route to my
cousin Pani's body shop.

He's got a big set up.

When we need paint work
done and we can't do it

at Yiannimize in house,
I quickly take it there

and ask him to do it for us.

I'm Greek, and when you'reGreek, you got a big family,

and this is just anothermember in the car industry.

is an intricate process.

First, a coat of
primer is applied

to ensure a better adhesionof the paint to the surface.

Then a spray gun
is used to apply

three or four separate coatsof the gloss black paint.

Finally.

The badges are flash
baked for 15 minutes

at 65 degrees in a
paint oven to give

the finish a perfect shine.

I'm always watching.

Yianni has always got half aneye on the CCTV in his office.

You're working here
and suddenly just

the door is going to close.

These electric cars havegot a mind of their own.

You have to be careful thatit might happen at some point.

The doors just go up,the handles go in and out.

NARRATOR: In order to
cover all of the chrome,

the team need access to
areas on the car which

are usually out of bounds.

So imagine you're standingthere, and all of a sudden the

door comes up on you.

It's kind of slowing you down.

NARRATOR: The safety
sensors are kicking in

as the car doesn't quiteunderstand what's going on.

You have to step aside, don'tget your finger there or--

yeah, like a magic car.

NARRATOR: Concerned
at what he's seen,

Yianni goes downstairs tocheck out the work so far.

This is what
I'm talking about.

We've got two doors
up and two doors down,

and they just probably
opened on their own.

Very nice.

That's no good.

Leandro, no good, man.

Sometimes it's hardwork, and it's stressful,

and I feel I'm up against it,and today is one of them days.

NARRATOR: Double
trouble for Yianni

as he tries to turn aroundto futuristic green cars.

So what have you
bought me today?

So you got the Teslahere, got another one there.

They're both identical cars.

NARRATOR: This client
wants a full chrome

delete on both Teslas.

It's going to be
worse than actually

doing a full wrap on the car.- I know.

It's a lot of work.

NARRATOR: It's fiddly, and thesecars have minds of their own

making it slow going.

Like a magic car.

NARRATOR: And with
time running out,

the boss has alreadyspotted a flaw in the wrap.

That's no good.

Leandro, no good, man.

All the stuff was
wrapped, the indicators.

The one he's wrapped, when I'vegone round, I've spotted it,

it's covered in dust.

No, good, man.

NARRATOR: Leandro
is from Brazil.

He's been at the
garage for four months,

but barely speaks any English.

I don't want to be
angry with you, Leandro.

You're so nice, but youneed to learn English, man.

NARRATOR: He arrived
in the UK with 10

years wrapping
experience, and that's

why Yianni gave him a break.

I love Leandro.

The problem is when I
say something to him,

he's like yeah, yeah, yeah, andthen he'll do what he wants.

Yeah.

NARRATOR: Language barriers arenot new territory for Yianni.

I've always had staff thatare from different countries.

It's like United Nations here,and we're all like a family.

It doesn't matter.

The two brothers, Nico andMark, when they first came,

they couldn't speak a word ofEnglish, but they understand,

they can communicate withme, and we get the job done.

Leandro has got
a long way to go.

NARRATOR: The Tesla
deadline is looming,

and now everyone's
attention is focused

on this demanding dechrome.

Each Tesla has around 25individual chrome pieces,

all of which need to be covered,and they're only halfway there.

The team have moved on to thetricky Tesla door handles.

They sit flush the
bodywork and that's more

like a button than a handle.

Push in to open.

The complex wiring means theycan't be stripped so Nico draws

on his eight years
of wrapping expertise

to create a seamless fit.

The sprayed badges and trimshave arrived bang on time.

So it's just the edges
that I'm going over,

but these look fine to me.

This one, I'm not quitehappy with, to be honest.

See under the S
and under the L you

can still see a bit of chrome,but I think it's good enough.

If I'm not happy about
it, Yian definitely

won't be happy about it, so.

We're going to have
to send it back.

NARRATOR: The trim is sent away.

It's now going to be touchand go to get it back in time.

So we sent the badges to besprayed, they've come back,

and one of them isn't right.

And we are cutting it real fine.

NARRATOR: It's all go
today at the garage

and a regular client has
turned up unannounced

with another green car.

Disco Rachel.

Hi, Yianni.

Welcome back.

You still happy with the green?

NARRATOR: This client
loves her Land Rover

Discoveries so
much that the team

have dubbed her Disco Rachel.

She's had three andYianni's wrapped each one.

We've done purple
glitter, blue glitter,

now we've done the green.

So why did you come
back to see me today?

Well, I was passing,
and we're going actually

on holiday tomorrow,
and I wanted the car

to look super spanky wonderful.

OK.

The wing mirror is a bitscratched, so I don't know.

It's a bit last
minute, I'm afraid.

and clean the surface
before he can rewrap.

a homemade stand
and super fast way

to wrap this type

NARRATOR: By heating
the vinyl and pulling it

down in one swift
motion, they can get

a clean finish with no joins.

brothers Nico and Mark

work in tandem to get

the Teslas over the line.

Nico and Mark are special.

Nico was a real junior, didn'thave a clue about wrapping.

He started learning withone of the other wrappers

and the more he wrapped,
the better he got.

It's in the blood.

He said to me, I want
to bring my brother in.

I was like, can he wrap?

He was like, no, no, but
I'll teach him, Yianni.

I'll teach him.

Nico, do you know that
you're my inspiration?

You have loads of
patience teaching me.

Mark came in, and before youknew it, Mark caught Nico up

and now they're
both on level par.

NARRATOR: Deadline
day, Danny is catching

his company cars at noon.

Thanks to Nico and Mark'slate shift, the major work

may have been done.

But they can't
deliver until they

have the resprayed rear trim.

And it arrives just
in the nick of time.

The final piece of the puzzlegoes straight onto the car

ready for Yianni's inspection.

And he not only has to checkthe quality of the wrap

but also the sprayed parts.

Is that the trim
that was damaged?
