The bodywork is carefully
constructed to maximize

on the rally, Lee

wants to push those lines even
further, just like Yianni, whose

own car is fitted with a
carbon fiber front splitter,

side skirts, and rear spoiler.

We wrap a lot of these cars.

What is the best
color this looks in?

So it's having a
full wrap in black.

It's having the
body kit, which is

the front splitter, the side
skirts, and the big spoiler

on the back.

Stripping the car down,
obviously-- handles, mirrors.

You've got a lot of carbon.

We need to be careful.

This is expensive stuff.

The other thing you
need to be careful about

is once Nicco and Mark wrap
this car and you fit the kit,

you need to be careful not
to damage any of the wrap

when the kit's going on.

Yeah, of course.

One little snag, and that's it.

You're going to see
that gray straight away.

YIANNI: OK.

He is literally
leaving on the weekend.

MAN: Wow.

YIANNI: So we haven't
got many days to do this.

I know he's put
me under pressure,

but he did say he's
going on a rally.

I said, we will make it happen.

get it stripped.

YIANNI: Nicco, Mark, and
Mikey, we'll start wrapping.

So personally, when I'm
working on these vehicles,

I like to use hand tools.

I could use power tools, but
these cars are very fragile.

So I do try to use hand
tools wherever I can.

NARRATOR: Mike
knows exactly where

to push and pull to
free up the panels

without causing any damage.

The bespoke body
kit has already been

ordered at a cost of 17,000.

One of the most
important pieces will

be the huge double-wing
rear spoiler.

Mike uses the manual override
switch to get better access

and remove the old one.

The body kit will be made of
carbon fiber, a popular material

on high performance
cars because it's

very strong, but also light.

MIKE: Right.

That should be it.

And yep, that's it.

NARRATOR: Workshop manager
Terry is running a quality

check on the satin black vinyl.

So I'm just
going to go through

the first few meters just to see
there's nothing in it that's--

like this, this is
a bit concerning.

It's a big air bubble.

And there's a shiny line
running through the center.

So I'm going to have to
roll it out a bit more

and see if this
shiny line continues

through the rest of the roll.

If it does, this is
going to really delay us.

NARRATOR: Vinyl rolls
are printed and packaged

mechanically, so there's
always a small margin

for machine error.

But even the slightest blemish
can make a roll unusable.

TERRY: There's a big blob
in the vinyl just here.

Just one?

Just one.

But the main concern
is this shiny line

that's running through
the center of the vinyl.

Is it just here or is it
all the way through the roll?

I pulled out about
10 meters, and it

sort of disappears,
and it appears again

every sort of other meter.

OK.

Tell me we've got
more vinyl here.

We have got more
vinyl downstairs.

Enough for them to
start working on the car?

They can start
working on the cars.

Get G to order another roll.

Get them to crack on with that.

And then, obviously,
get a new roll--

When the new one turns up.

OK.

All right, cool.

NARRATOR: The roll downstairs is
from the same delivery, perhaps

the same manufacturing batch.

It's vital now they check
this thoroughly, too.

Me and Nic are supposed
to wrap the bonnet,

but we notice just like
the problem in the vinyl.

I think we need to get someone
to check this one quickly

so we can start on the car.

MARK: Terry!

TERRY: Yeah?

There are, like, lines in it.

The line, isn't it?

The line is there, there.

NARRATOR: To wrap the
large body panels,

the team need wide
sections of perfect vinyl.

The damage down the center will
halt the wrap in its tracks.

Yianni is upstairs keeping
an eye on the four cars

that routinely
fill the bays when

Andrew delivers the bad news.

I've come up, speaking to
Nicco and Mark from downstairs,

and there seems to be another
issue with the new roll.

What's the issue?

The main thing is
the line in the middle.

Again, so you're
telling me exactly

the same roll as upstairs is
the same problem downstairs.

Yeah.

YIANNI: It's the Lambo.

Get them to chop up the vinyl.

So obviously, where the line
is running through the middle,

use the top and the lower
half so there's no line.

OK.

You only need small
parts to do it so they

can still work on the car.

They've supplied us the vinyl.

It's got a fault in it.

to be assembled

before it's mounted on the car.

From the streets to the
paper that I'm holdin'

When you look up

NARRATOR: But there's a problem.

The screws which came
with the kit are too long,

and the wing can't be secured
to the upright pylons.

I need you to drop me about
three or four more threads,

just so I can get a
better bite on the bolt.

NARRATOR: These are the only
screws supplied with the kit,

and they have no time
to order replacements.

It's down to Pav to cut them
down in his usual subtle way.

[music playing]

Thankfully, the screw
beds in cleanly and turns.

PAV: Proper.

NARRATOR: It's a success.
