proves to be just as
problematic as wrapping.

And his 20-year-old Mercedes
SL60 AMG is his pride and joy.

This modern classic cost

when it was first manufactured.

And the only person Aaron
trust to wrap it is Yianni.

look a lot more like paint.

Do you remember
this car we wrapped?

I was going to say, yeah,
this is a wrap, isn't it?

Yeah, I thought it was
factory paint at one point.

The wrap still looks good.

It is seven years old.

You must have been a
toddler back then, isn't it?

So we're stripping
it and rewrapping it.

My concerns with this car.

Firstly, because it is
an old classic, when

you strip the car
down, Mike, you

can't afford to break anything.

We ain't going to be able
to get parts for this.

real, real careful.

My other issue, Kiran,

This one's going

Seven years on
the car, normally,

when it lasts that long,

as they're tough to take apart
and put back together again.

heated to above 40 degrees

to make it flexible
enough to strip.

It's coming off
better than I expected,

but we're still going to
be here for a long time.

NARRATOR: Vinyl wraps
are designed to last

for three to four years.

Advances in the industry
mean that current vinyls

are easier to remove.

But as feared, the
seven-year-old white wrap is

breaking up as they strip it.

Ah, I reckon this is going
to take us a good day, bro.

to get all off.

to clean it as well.

Just getting wrapped after.

NARRATOR: As the
vinyl is removed,

Kiran is also keeping an
eye out for any damage

to the paint underneath.

So like a metallic, but he still
wants to look at, like, paint.

I think that, that is
white with the sparkle.

NARRATOR: Fitting this device
is a highly secretive process.

Only certain people in the UK
are registered to fit them.

PAV: Right, this specific
tracker is a Cat 5,

and what that means is
it has an immobilizer,

a tracker, and a GPS system.

NARRATOR: Pav must
first disconnect

the car's battery, which is
buried behind the engine.

The tracker won't
go under the bonnet.

It will be hidden
elsewhere on the car.

And not even Yianni is
allowed to know exactly where.

Fitting a tracker
lowers your insurance

premium significantly, which
is why it's becoming popular.

It will take Pav a couple of
hours to get the work done.

Then it will be time to test it.

Across the garage, Mike is
well into the strip down.

This modern classic car is
held together by 20-year-old

screws and fragile
clips, which are

no longer being manufactured.

Yeah.

[sighs] I knew there was
a point of me being here,

even if it was just
for this one moment.

but it's looking like the

to do exactly the same thing.

Yeah, we've got
lacquer coming off.

And it's still coming
off as I'm going around.

No, this is actually worse.

NARRATOR: If they just cover
the damage with the wrap,

it will show through.

All right, so I'm

to say that the paint is coming
off on this wing on the SL.

YIANNI: So Aaron has messaged

this morning.

Talking about Aaron, Terry
just fired this message to me.

That's the passenger side
front wing on his car.

Whoa, it's taking
the lacquer off.

BERT: Yeah.

Good start to the morning.

My man, I thought
Bert was coming down.

Let me have a look.

SPEAKER: Yeah, it's all flaking.

It's all been painted.

Is that primer underneath?

SPEAKER: No, that's the color.

It's literally just taken
the top layer of lacquer off.

But on the front
bumper, it's taking it--

Front bumper as well?

Yeah, front bumper
has gone right down

to the primer and the filler.

So in the wing,
a bump in the side.

And we've already got two panels
that have got paint coming off.

Yeah.

There's going to be a fun

Quick update on your car.

So obviously, we started
stripping the car down.

So it's taken a
little bit of lacquer

off on the passenger front
wing and the front bumper

where it looks like the car
has been painted in the past.

We are going to need
to rub down and prep

it to make sure the
vinyl is perfect when

it's laid onto the vehicle.

AARON SINGH [ON PHONE]: OK.

OK.

Well, guess I'll
have to live with it.

OK, take a picture of the
car every five minutes

and send it to me.

This guy's relentless.

It just doesn't stop.

NARRATOR: Aaron authorizes
Yianni to mend the paintwork.

The team can remedy the faults,
but it will add time to the job.

Yianni's paintwork expert
Terry gets straight to work.

TERRY: Get that nice and smooth.

NARRATOR: Wet and dry
sandpaper cuts back

the damaged paint and lacquer.

Later, Terry will
prime it to ensure

a smooth surface for the vinyl.

Basically, now
when I'm sanding it,

I need this hard
edge to feather out,

so you can't feel it anymore.

And that'll stop it
showing through the vinyl.

And also that it doesn't
flake back anymore either.

Otherwise, you sort of end
up getting bigger and bigger.

NARRATOR: The primer goes on at
5:00 PM and will dry overnight.

[music playing]

It's a new day, and Yianni
is on his way to the garage.

First job is to fire up the GPS
app to check the tracker Pav

has fitted on the 4x4 works.

So just logged in.

So I can see him driving around.

NARRATOR: Back in the workshop,
Nico and Mark have started

wrapping the bonnet of the SL.

The new metallic white
vinyl looks the part.

And under the bonnet is
something just as impressive.

It may have modern
classic status now,

but this Mercedes still
packs a mighty punch.

It has a 6-liter V8 engine
capable of 0 to 62 miles

an hour in just 5.8 seconds.

We're about to lay this wing.

It's passenger wing.

Hopefully, this bit won't
make us any trouble.

And hopefully, hopefully.

NARRATOR: Mark now has to
lay a test piece of vinyl

on the repaired front wing.

It looks perfect for me.

Can't really see anything.

We got to do this wrap.

It's good, man.

[whistles] That looks nice.

NARRATOR: Mark and
Nico continue wrapping

into the evening to make sure
the job stays on schedule.

Deadline day.

It's now down to
Mike to carefully

put this classic back together.

As much as I enjoy working
on the Lambos and the Ferraris

and the Porsches,
my heart will always

be with the old-school motors.

These are the cars
that I saw growing up.

So I'm just putting
the last, final touches

on the body kit on the SL.

And I mean, throughout
this whole job,

I've been quite worried
about taking the car apart,

fitting it, how it
would fit back together.

But luckily, it's gone
back quite nicely.

[door thuds]

NARRATOR: This old-school
classic is finished.

And they can all breathe
a sigh of relief.

But Yianni knows nothing
will be overlooked

by perfectionist Aaron.

Oh, my god, he will
spot that straight away.

Actually, really good.

Thank god.

NARRATOR: The wrap
is good, but Yianni

has found two corners
in hard-to-reach spots

which have lifted slightly.

Oh my god, if he saw
that, he would eat us.

NARRATOR: The team
needs to flatten

the edges back
and then superheat

them so they stay in place.

Aaron's car is now complete.

I found a couple of
things that are not major,

and I'll get Terry to get one
of the guys to rectify it.
