So far, the operation has gone
beyond all expectations.

Amira's office has been a strainer

from which we have filtered out one
secret after another.

People from the finer walks of life

and from the underworld

have all been caught on camera and
no-one has noticed anything.

That Amira has just made a grave
mistake

that will soon spin everything out
of control

is unbeknownst to us both

this morning when we meet in a
parking garage in Copenhagen.

A few days earlier,

a meeting takes place with a
well-known businessman

in the city of Aalborg.

The businessman is -
to put it mildly -

an interesting acquaintance.

On the one hand, he is a person of
wealth,

with a three-digit million sum
at his disposal.

On the other hand, he collects
friends in circles

where wealthy
people don't usually mingle.

When the businessman mentions "the
club" he is talking about

the outlaw bikers Hells Angels

and the conversation quickly turns
to some of the most

prominent members of
this nefarious fraternity.

Svend Erik Holst, better known as
Sven the Pig, convicted of murder.

Last year he was made president of

a chapter of the outlaw biker group
Comanches.

Bent Svane Nielsen -
also known as Blondie -

high-ranking member of the
Hells Angels.

In the 1980s, he was sentenced to
16 years in prison

for a double murder.

Nadim Khan, the head of the Danish
branch of Satudarah,

until he recently co-founded the
outlaw biker club Comanches MC.

Jorn Jonke Nielsen -
convicted of murder

and a former spokesman for the
Hells Angels.

A name we absolutely do not want to
hear mentioned is

the name of one of the executives of

one of Denmark's largest security
companies - Guardian.

With clients such as the police, the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs

and the shipping giant, Maersk.

It's this very company that has been
ready from the get-go

to relocate Amira to a safe house

should she find herself
in a tight spot.

The name of the security executive
almost pops out of the blue,

as the meeting continues after lunch

in the businessman's office.

And the connection is surprising,
to say the least,

precisely because we are talking
about

a reputable security guard.

Our worries only get worse

when multiple sources confirm that
the security executive

is indeed involved in transporting

huge sums of money to Somalia.

During our research, the police
strike against

what they believe to be an extensive
money-laundering network,

with links to the Somali community
in Denmark.

The men for whom our security
executive has been working

is one of several suspected
masterminds.

They are being investigated for
laundering at least

900 million Danish kroner in cash.

Money which the police suspect is
partly connected to drug trafficking

and terror financing.

And a small part of the many
millions our security
executive himself,

back in 2017,

made sure reached Dubai safely with
the help of a money courier.

For his services, Norman Kristiansen
was paid in cash exactly

186,000 Danish kroner.

It's against the
money-laundering act

to accept such large amounts
in cash.

The bank therefore notified the
white-collar crime unit

and Norman Kristiansen temporarily
lost his security clearance.

In court, both he and his
security company

were found guilty of breaching
the money-laundering act.

Nothing indicates that our security
executive himself

knew about the dubious origin
of the money.

But the mere fact that he has
embarked on a mission

of this nature

makes Amira feel uneasy.

Neither does it help that he is
friends with

and once borrowed money from

the businessman from Aalborg.

We decide for Amira to keep
a low profile

while we contemplate how
to proceed.

She herself takes it
relatively easy.

But then, it's not the first time
she's been thrown a curve-ball.

RING TONE

According to Amira, it's the
Bandido spy called Fasar

who is threatening her again.

Whether Fasar's anger also this time
is kindled

by Amira not obtaining
citizenship for his daughter,

or whether it is something else
entirely

we do not know.

But he also sends her several emails
and writes,

amongst other things,

"What you are doing will backfire.

"This is your last chance to meet
with me tomorrow,

"otherwise I'll show up at your home
address

"and then you will have nothing more
to explain."

Apparently, now Fasar has made good
on his threat,

but Amira won't follow the plan
we've laid out for her.

AMIRA HANGS UP

We dispatch a security guard to
Amira's address,

but when he arrives, Fasar is
nowhere to be seen.

The security guard remains
in the area.

Once again, we encourage Amira
relocate to the safe house

we have prepared for her for a
situation just like this.

The next day, it turns out that
Amira has solved the situation

in her own quite disturbing way.

When the name Wassem rings a bell

it's because we've met him before.

The first time in front of
a coffee shop

at the very beginning
of the project.

Back then, Wassem - being a seasoned
street-gang member -

came off as anything but a
guardian angel for Amira.

She was clearly shaken
after the meeting.

So it makes absolutely no sense
to us

that it is now him that she reaches
out to as a lifeline

when she feels threatened.

Amira's explanation does not alter
our gut feeling -

something is not quite right.

We need to learn more about her
so-called players,

especially the mysterious Wassem.

We know that Wassem was supposed to
be the owner

of the kebab restaurant
Boy's, Christianshavn.

The one he said he wanted the lawyer
Nicolai Dyhr to close down.

But the name Wassem is nowhere to be
found in the company register.

Instead a certain Tamer Kibar is
mentioned in the records.

We revisit the meetings with Dyhr

and discover that it is actually
this name

and not Wassem which he mentions.

Our suspicion begins to form

and it grows when we closely study
the only photo we have of Wassem,

because on the chest of his
T-shirt,

there are two letters printed - TK.

A source also confirms it -

Wassem's real name is Tamer Kibar.

Having discovered his real name,
there are more leads to follow.

And it turns out that Tamer Kibar -

both before and during the project -

had an address registered at
Amira's home.

Many questions arise.

Some of the answers we get
when we learn

that Amira has made a rather
decisive mistake...

..which takes us back to the meeting
with the businessman in Aalborg.

Here, Amira was equipped with an
additional sound recorder,

which was empty when she handed it
back to us.

If Amira is indeed laundering money
in cahoots with Tamer Kibar,

it's a clear breach of the contract
we made with her.

Ja.

Money laundering is not the only
possible breach of contract

because in the deleted
sound recording

Amira also suggests something that
most of all sounds like blackmail.

The target being the businessman

she had just been to Aalborg to meet
with.

Exactly what Amira intends to
blackmail or manipulate the
businessman with

remains a bit murky.

But the most disturbing part
is the way she plans to do it.

Journalistic principles call for us
to confront Amira with our discovery

as soon as possible so we can get
an explanation.

At the same time, there's the need
to consider the safety

of the editorial staff,

because how will Amira
and Tamer Kibar react

when they discover that
we are in the know?

He has been convicted of
illegal possession of a firearm

and has previously spoken about
killing people.

Add to the mix that even a seasoned
Bandidos biker like Fasar

apparently backs off when
Tamer Kibar is involved.

After careful consideration,
we decide that safety comes first.

We will therefore postpone
telling Amira what we know.

In the meantime, we invite her in
for an interview

to give her the opportunity to tell
us the truth of her own accord.

Soon after Amira has left
the studio,

our producer calls
with ominous news.

He has just spotted the person
it's all about,

Tamer Kibar,

walking around outside the premises.

The ancient Romans did not believe
that black swans existed for real.

Hence, the expression "a black swan"
today describes a landmark event

that no-one expected would occur.

It's safe to say that Amira
is a black swan,

but the rare bird has proven
difficult to tame.

Six months have passed
while editing our footage.

We are almost ready to confront
Amira with our knowledge.

We just need to show her
the first three episodes

that are now finished.

It's important for us to learn

if she thinks
it was worth the effort

before her opinion
is most likely marked by

the difficult conversation
that lies ahead.

SHOW PLAYS ON TV

A few days before we are to meet
with Amira again,

this time to confront her,

she beats us to it
with a call to our producer.

We have no idea how she figured out
what was about to happen

but now she demands that
the whole project be shut down.

This is the last time
we speak directly with Amira.

From here on, all communication
runs through her various lawyers.

Suddenly, she rejects
the security plan

that a new security company
has prepared

for when she has to step into
the limelight,

despite the fact that it was made
according to her own wishes.

We don't know why she has chosen
to break the rules of engagement,

why she lied about Tamer Kibar
from the beginning,

and not least, how much he knows
about her collaboration with us.

To sum it up, we are left
with a story

that has taken an unexpected turn,

compared to the story we set out
to tell two years ago.

Amira has left us in a bind.

On the one hand, she, fully aware
of the risks involved,

has chosen to carry out dangerous
undercover work

which has exposed a side of Denmark
very few people know about.

At the same time, it appears as if

she herself has been caught
in the act,

committing the very same crimes
that she said

she wanted to go up against.

Now she no longer wants
the TV series to be aired,

and even threatens
the editorial staff.

The security situation for all
involved makes it tricky business.

But the solution can only be that
the series has to be broadcasted.

It's too important
to keep away from the public.

As Amira realises that we are not
closing down the project,

she finally chooses to accept
the security package

we have made available for her.

Thus, it's out in the open.

But the story of the Black Swan
does not end here.

Because in the ensuing days,
the phones start ringing.

It turns out that while Amira
was manning our office,

she had a secret office on the side
in a suburb of Copenhagen.

She continued to be in contact
with several of the clients

from our office.

The lawyer Lise Roulund,

and the businessman Nabil Boallal.

Other customers are new,

and the question is whether she,
together with them,

has taken a plunge
back into the element of crime.

Several of her customers have paid
hundreds of thousands of krone

to a company which,
according to our information,

is part of a million turnover
money laundering operation.

These transfers were made
in the very same weeks

when Amira, together with
Tamer Kibar,

in a deleted audio recording,

talked about the delivery
of lots of money in cash.

The ways of the black swan
are inscrutable,

and we will probably never come
close to an exhaustive understanding

of the phenomenon that is Amira.

But we have to make a final attempt.
