Detectives find your prints
on the murder weapon,

so they arrest you.

Your story's been the same ever since.

- Yeah, I know the story, man.

So you get home at 6:20 PM,
you see blood on the carpet.

You go into the dining room

and you see a bloody knife,
which you pick up to look at.

A move that puts your
fingerprints on the murder weapon

and totally ruins your life.

Then you hear a door slam,

so you run to the back and
you see a man in a red hoodie

and yellow gloves, running
away from the scene.

You come back inside,
you find your wife dead,

who you try to resuscitate,
getting blood all over yourself.

Another bad move.

Then in a state of shock,
you sit on the back porch.

- Can we just stop?

Look, I don't like really
reliving the whole thing.

- Yeah, yeah. Hold on a second.

So they send you to court
and things don't go too well

because everybody thought you did it.

'Cause let's face it, I mean,

it really looked like you did it.

And that's when the TV cameras came out

and your case blows up online, right?

Things go as well as they can for a while.

I mean, you had a solid alibi,

you had a couple of good
character witnesses,

but it's just not enough.

Then there's me. I know-

Well, I knew Dee, right?

He used to come into the Flying Saucer

where I would hang out and he
would drink all the damn time.

For weeks he would come in

and go on and on about the case,

about how Michael couldn't have done it.

They need to be going
after the real killer.

My testimonial will clear things up.

Dee said all that?

- Yeah, and then he goes in
and gives this weepy testimony

about how you were abusive

and about how he tried to warn everybody

and how he would try to stop it.

Big tone shift, right?

And just like that, all your
legal progress goes up in smoke

and you're back on track
for life in prison.

So I got to thinking.

I read up on your case and I did the math

and I went to the craft store,

and then I realized that
if the killer went off

in the direction you say he did,

that he would've been picked
up on the security cameras

at the Flying Saucer.

So I talked to the manager.

The police get the tape,
it gets put into evidence,

boom, not guilty.

Barely.

So I get to thinking, right?

Why didn't the cops go after

the security footage in the first place?

Why did Dee change his story
on the stand all of a sudden?

I heard rumors that he was in league

with some dangerous
people, whoever that means.

The day after the verdict, he comes in

talking about how he's gonna find you,

how he's gonna kill you.

So I put this GPS tracker on his car.

- Why didn't you go to the police?

So I follow him around.

And what do I find?

I find him talking to your lawyer.

Talking to hookers, but not buying.

Buying a gun.

- And you didn't think to go to the cops.

- Me and the cops are a no go, okay?

They don't really like
private investigators,

or me for that matter.

- Former private investigators.

- Anyway, he starts going all
over Timbuktu looking for you.

All right? Lot of movement.

And then all of a sudden,
Thursday night, nothing.

He stands still.

So I drive by to check
it out. What do I find?

I find Dee's empty car,
you acting all suspicious,

so I placed a GPS tracker
on your car and I found-

- You saw everything.

Dug up the body, got me here. Yeah.

So what do you want?

- Help me figure this out.

Who murdered your wife?

Why aren't the cops after him?

You know, why did Dee change his story

on the stand all the sudden?
