Recently we were on Orange County Housewives and we have two little girls,

London and Capri.

Any close calls with the children, she's going to unfortunately have to be given

I would be devastated if we had to get rid of Shadow. She better shape up or

We have a cat who has... a licking problem.

He likes to lick everything, my feet, hands, fingers.

I'm training for the 2016 Olympics.

Albert is not letting me sleep.

Licking is really driving us apart, but I would not ever give Albert up. If it

doesn't get fixed, then we have to break up.

Shadow was actually very receptive to my glasses. So it's obvious to me that

Shadow has an aversion to hands. Now I need to bring out a toy to see if I can

It's obvious through this interaction that Shadow has a problem with hands,

it goes much deeper than I originally thought.

I had a really interesting time just now with both cats, actually.

Would Shadow let me pet her? No.

And did I get beat up? A little bit. But that's because I did this.

The second my hand comes at that cat, she's like, and then she's after me.

So based on their body language now, what they react to, and what I saw,

especially with Capri handling...

Both cats, really. We got a problem.

Like, we got a problem.

Capri's going to break Sophie back at some point. She doesn't have the

Now, last time I was here, I saw things that I will never be able to unsee.

Capri grabbed Sophie like she was literally a doll. She squished her head

hers. And then Capri came at Shadow with his feet first, doing this kicking

behavior. And Micah was saying that we've got to get rid of Shadow.

Today, I'm hoping they've learned some lessons. I'm hoping that there's

Well, most cats lick.

Well, Albert licks all the time. And it really hurts, you know, sometimes

because his tongue is very sharp.

Right. If you're being licked constantly by your cat, it can be really painful.

Cats have papillae on their tongues, which are backward -facing hooks made of

keratin, the same material that makes up your cat's claws.

A papillae help cats grasp meat off the bones and assist them in grooming by

acting as a comb to pull out loose fur and dirt.

Is it pretty much a guarantee that if you see Albert walking in the room and

jumps up and he hangs out, that you're going to start getting licked? Yeah,

I was amazed to see that.

It could work and it could fix all of it. That was a big turning point for us

see that this behavior can be changed.

Guys, that is huge.

That's the moment I was waiting for when you can prove to your clients that a

cat can take an obsessive compulsive problem and just forget about it. That

It'll assist in building some cat mojo. It'll also help stimulate and redirect

him from this obsession he has with licking.

And the next thing I want you guys to do is practice redirecting his attention

onto the toys. And you've got to follow through and make sure you play every

time. Finally, I need you guys to re -examine the citrus mittens and socks.

You've got to be able to say no in order to say yes.

territory to own and a way to burn off his energy, he doesn't feel the need to

lick as much. Now, I want to see Albert using that space.
