This is an extremely meaningful project
for me. The book is going to be called

The Step in Parenting.

We must define family not by last names
and blood. We must define family in our

hearts and love.

I wanted to write a book about being a
stepdad because I thought I had all the

answers, and I realized I didn't. And I
know that other people are also going

through the same situation because no
one is taught how to be a stepfather.

Assuming the role of a parent to a child
that is not biologically yours can

prove to be complicated at best. I took
on the role of dad and jumped in

headfirst without an instruction manual.

The challenges that people have to face
to navigate co -parenting, it's not

easy. It's a journey. I don't need
anything telling me that I'm JoJo's

I'm already, I play the role. He calls
me dad.

The more safe places that we vow to
create that support raw, honest,

conversations, the more we can learn and
grow together.

The pages of this book reveal my story,
my truth, and lessons I learned along my

journey to put the step in parenting.
