Last week at No Prep Kings, we saw the
leaderboard get completely

shook up.

After another challenging week for Team
Kai Kelly, they gave up the number one

spot. Kayla Borden gets the win. Kai
Kelly up against the wall.

That could have been bad.

Meanwhile, Team Daddy Dave got 120
points and secured the number one spot.

Haley Morton led the way by going to her
second finals of the year.

Plus, Paige Coughlin made it to the
third round of her first event ever.

hometown track for me. Right now my team

sits number one in points, and I'm

getting along better than others. For
example, the teammates that used to be

engaged. I don't have to talk to her.

If she feels awkward that way, I don't,
it's up to her.

I basically haven't talked to him for
probably since the last race.

So I don't know about the whole team
situation where that stands. Is he,

trading you? I don't know. So I keep
hearing rumors.

We've had five weeks since our last
race, and things have gotten a little

tense between Kai and Lizzie.

Because I wasn't going to let ego affect
me from winning the championship.

Yeah. But this morning, they come to me
with a pretty good scenario about

trading Lizzie for X -Man.

in everything he does.

He can drive.

He's got a lot of experience. He's
always got a fast time ride. I don't

he's as fast as Lizzie can go, but I
feel like he's probably a little more

consistent than Lizzie is.

best for us to just kind of go our own

of him to kind of give you options.

been some last -minute changes before

draw. Dave dropped Dominator and picked
up his original teammate, Kyle Canyon.

Then Murillo dropped newcomer Clay Cole
and put Dominator back on his team.

That allowed Kai to pick up Clay and put
his team back at five racers.

I thought it was already talked about.
Apparently it wasn't. Lizzie and Axeman.

Nope, Dave said it's off the table. I'm
not doing it.

Meanwhile, Dave is sticking to his guns
on the Lizzie and Axeman trade.

Lizzie's going to stay on Kai's team,
and we'll see how that pans out.

32 drivers, they're going to battle it
out for $40 ,000.

The team with the most points at the end
of the season will win a $200 ,000

team joint prize.

Matchups for round one are set, and
there are a few races I'm keeping my eye

Lizzie is going up against Chuck from
Ryan's team.

And I'm willing to bet that Lizzie's
going to show that this drama is not

to affect her racing.

Team leaders Justin Swanstrom and Ryan
Martin will face off, and they put $1

Finally, Kai will go up against Doc Love
in the last race of the round.

Kai is looking to get a win to put the
team back on track, while Doc is looking

to prove to his new team captain, Murder
Nova, that he deserves to be on the

team.

She's definitely consistent, and she's
got the resources, so she's going to be

We fell from first to fourth last race.

We drew David Gates, first pair, right
lane. I mean, that's what we wanted. But

I earned my spot here this weekend. I
raced my way in. I turned on those two

wind lights, and now I get to play with
the big boys. So I'm super excited.

My team's sitting at number one going
into the first round. We're at 420

with all five of my teammates in.

That's 50 points first round
automatically for me.

That's the only one I have concern with.

Gates may trip on us to nothing.

So we're going to hope that happens.

people talking about not making as much

boost and things like that.

We're going to have to lean on the
motors even harder, so...

That's going to bring more damage and
parts failures and things like that.

This team thing, to be honest with you,
I love it. I love being a team leader

for the guys.

You can hit that reset button every race
that you go to.

No matter how bad it was, you can start
all over and hopefully start building

some momentum.

We have struggled. We have put the time

It's not from lack of trying, but we're
going to hit that reset button and we'll

week, I'll do it to help our team.

We're halfway through round one. We've
already seen some big names go down.

including Scott Taylor and Kayla Martin.

Lizzie is not letting the trade talk or
the drama get to her. She was able to

punch her ticket into round two.

Next, it's the battle of the captains as
Justin Swanstrom faces off against Ryan

Martin. Anytime one of these races
happens where the captains face off

each other, it's extremely important
because the captains set the tone for

team.

I don't know. Look at all that blower
stuff that we picked up in the back.

That's a great eight last night.

We had backfired the blower twice.

We have picked up a lot of stuff inside
the motor. So I know we're going to get

the car back together.

But just got to go out there and do our
job.

You know, Ryan was my first draw. So I
said, hey, do you want to run for some

money? And he said, yeah.

So we're going to go out there and give
it our best shot. Hopefully we can pull

off this win.

I went out there. I thought I cut a good
light. By looking at the video, it

looks like I left on him a little bit.

I was actually out in front just a
little bit of a hair. I got out there

.30, and I literally blew the converter
apart inside the car. All I seen was

smoke and explosion and then fluid going
everywhere.

I blew a tranny.

You blew the transmission out?

Yeah, I think it busted the converter.

I think it split the converter in half.

Really? Oh, dude, it's everywhere.

Inside the car. I thought it was on fire
for a second, and then it went away.

And it shot it through the bottom.

Man, I think I got good luck right now.

like I'm going to get to the point where

car looks super fast and consistent.

I've been seeing Jim Howe hang out with
him a whole lot, so they're saying that

So I deal with Dave's team, and that's a
very strong team.

But he just put a lot of pressure on my
shoulders.

what Doc can do is he can throw a Hail
Mary because he's got nothing to lose.

he can go out there and take a big -ass

People like Doc do work. They don't have
nothing to lose. We got everything to

lose. My guy is tuning for the
racetrack.

Doc is tuning for as much as he thinks
that thing can take and not blow up and

make it to the finish line. And if it's
six, you know, nine times out of ten,

your conservative tune -up's not going
to beat it.

to get down there at the end, and we're
going to fight.

He made a good lap, and our car went
towards the center line, and

it got loose, and actually I felt like I
was sideways when I went through the

finish line.

I'm trying to get the chutes out, got it
straightened back up, gathered it up.

This track here is kind of tricky. It's
got asphalt in the center. Once you get

out of the groove and you get asphalt on
one side and concrete on another, these

cars don't like it.

Lutz has been struggling all year, but
everybody knows that Jeff Lutz can put a

When he was over in Australia, I watched
his car lay down some numbers that I've

never seen on a time ticket of my own.
So I know his car is fast, and we're not

going to take him lightly.

We're going to try to go as fast as we
possibly can without taking the time.

We beat Jeff Lutz. He's been running
good all day. And we made a hell of a
