stopped. And my family and I were home
quarantined in Los Angeles, afraid to go

outside. But after the George Floyd
murder, we couldn't take it anymore. We

We've got a lot of work to do.

Obviously, things are totally different
this year. So we want to talk about that

first. The world is just turned upside
down. Not only do you have the pandemic,

but then at the same time, you also have
the injustice against African

-Americans. You know, when you have a
black son, it's like, oh, my God, how am

going to make sure that he doesn't be in
the wrong place at the wrong time? And

we're automatically criminals just
because we're black.

And it's just hurtful.

Y 'all want people to cry at the
beginning of their interview day? This

terrible. I was just so furious. I was
just so offended at the blatant

racism that was happening to my people.

Loved ones of Breonna Taylor grieving
and outraged. I can't breathe.

What resonated with me about Breonna
Taylor's death is that she was a

worker in her home, resting in her bed.

The police bust in her door, shoot a
shot.

to her innocent body for no reason.

I am here with Tamika Mallory and her
group Until Freedom. They have been

protesting for many, many years against
injustice, against black people. Growing

up with my grandfather being such a
powerful civil rights leader, I had

with my grandfather when I was six years
old.

And I remember the fear of when the Ku
Klux Klan came and they were calling

us.

And they were throwing rocks at us. And
they were saying they were going to kill

us. And I remember being so confused.

Why do they hate us? And it wasn't until
I got a little bit older that I

understood what my grandfather was
doing.

Gratitude will come to me once I'm dead
and gone. I'm not worried about what

they say about me here. I'm going to do
what I believe is right and godly.

You have to realize we're all human.

And a lot of times we forget where we
come from. And we can say things that

ignorant, as I had before, was not
knowing much about, like history.

But I'm a mother now, and she means the
world to me. And if something ever were

to happen to her, I wouldn't be able to
even exist. And so that's why it was

just immediate for me to educate myself
about our history and activate.

My activism for my daughter's future.

just not going to leave her alone yet.
Well, that's stressful going through

that, trying to figure out the whole
nanny thing. I know you've been pretty

dealing with Brooklyn on your own. Yeah.

We went to New York to see Mark.

I mean, I have just been feeling like
I'm just in a holding pattern.

And whenever I've tried to really talk
to him about us, it never really goes

anywhere. And after about five months of
us being apart, I said, you know, I'm

going to go to New York. I'm going to
make sure Brooklyn sees him and try and

try to talk to him. But did he ask you
to come?

I said I was thinking about it. He was
like, yeah, I want you to come. So the

first day, we were okay.

Second day, he picked a fight with me.

But that is indicative of our entire

relationship the entire time. No one
should have to live like that.

So when I came back from New York, I
said, you know what? I'm going to go to

my attorney. And he gave me two options.

One is to do it separately. separation
agreement, and the other one was to file

for divorce.

If Mark makes you happy, I'm here for
it. But if he's not making you happy,

know, I'm not here for it. But couples
go through ups and downs, and I was okay

riding that wave with him because, you
know, I got married for better or for

worse. Am I?

A separation? Well, that's because of
COVID, you know, but still.

So he doesn't see anything wrong with

I have a lot of stress going on with,
like, planning the wedding and trying to

figure out everything.

The quarantine definitely put a halt on
wedding planning. But now that Mike and

I are back in Atlanta, I have to run
full speed ahead because if 10 -10 -20

our perfect date, I got to get to
planning for it. What's going on? Like,

we doing?

Well, I told you that I got a call from
Courtney. Yeah.

About the new law.

Governor Kent issued executive orders
for no gatherings of more than 50
